I hired Creative Contour to fix a drainage issue in my side yard. What a great team! Jennifer understood what I wanted done right away in the initial consultation. The scope and cost of the work was clearly explained. A big job of raising the yard grade, planting boundary shrubs, and seeding the side and front lawn was completed efficiently in two days! The crew even leveled and tidied up a pathway to my mailbox and provided access to a drainage culvert, which was above and beyond the original plan. The completed yard looks great!Update: after the first really heavy rains (several days of rain) the yard still looks great! No puddles, no erosion, water drained right where it needed to and no place else. So pleased.

Instantaneously, she captured our attention with her presentation of the company’s prior work and her outstanding knowledge of space, color, landscape architecture and design. She listened to exactly what our needs were as homeowners and after walking the property with us and taking photos of our house and land, she then transformed these needs into a stunning computer generated design. This included superimposing her landscape visions into a design that incorporated pictures of our property with hardscape and plantings. She worked within our budget, and took time to answer every single one of our questions (and there were a lot).Then came her team, who also impressed us greatly. Jennifer is a topographic visionary. Our new home had the ugliest, most poorly designed, rotting and user-unfriendly patio imaginable. And it connected to a lopsided, unsightly warren of timbers, weird plants and overgrown monstrous shrubs. Jen turned it into an upper and lower patio that are elegant and usable for family gatherings and parties and we can use the lower patio as an extra parking space. This seamless visual is achieved by curving the patio into the driveway and tying it altogether with the pavers. Beautiful stonework, smartly placed steps and we have now easy access and two beautiful patios. So pleased we redid the front walk and stoop also. Now I am counting the days for the beautiful Spring plantings.

Creative Contour designed my front and back yard, creating new beds with trees, shrubs and perennials. Her team did a great job on the installation, including creating a flagstone walkway. The design is flowing and beautiful, and I have gotten numerous compliments from neighbors. Jennifer has checked in during the last year to make sure everything is thriving. We initially contacted 2 local landscapers. Unfortunately neither returned our calls. We choose Creative Contours after reading the reviews on Home Advisor. We contacted Jennifer and received a returned call the same day. Our initial consultation involved an in depth discussion about our needs, use of the property, and budget. After our discussion Jennifer walked around our yard taking photos. She returned at an agreed time, was very prompt, even calling ahead as a reminder of the appointment. Jennifer showed up with a digital photo of our property with her/our ideas superimposed on the plans. We could barely contain our excitement at what she presented. After agreeing on the plan we then scheduled a time to meet at the nursery to pick out plants. At the nursery Jennifer was like a kid in a candy store, a very knowledgeable kid I might add! Her enthusiasm and genuine love of nature was evident as we walked around the nursery choosing just the right plants/shrubs. The week our project was to begin we received numerous calls/text coordinating the schedule for plant delivery and project completion. Within one very hot day (90 degrees) she and her crew of two (Juan and Angel who are awesome) completed our backyard landscaping project. It looks amazing! We could not be happier with the completed project. We look forward to working with Creative Contour next year for our front yard project!

Beautiful.... Jen came on site to look at our back yard and discuss our vision...she came back a few weeks later with multiple options and computer generated images of our yard. She completed the project as estimated ($ and time) The entire crew is top notch...and knocked the project out of the park. (Speaking if parks....our back yard looks like a park now)

Jennifer was committed to my project for a full year. We had periodic meetings to go over plans, and when the time was right, she and her crew showed up and did a crazy amount of work in two days. They removed years of neglected shrubs and weeds, and replaced it all with beautiful flowers and perennials that I had selected earlier. Because the ground was soft and the machines took their toll on the lawn, they overseeded those areas and now the lawn is coming in nicer than before. I started skeptical of Jennifer’s business approach, but now I am a fan.

We did a large backyard make-over, including removal of a 100-year old field stone terrace. Creative Contour (“CC”) designed a new blue-stone patio with step-down seating area, and integrated the overall look with the character of the home and neighborhood. At our request, many existing elements (mature plantings, stones and a millstone wheel) were used. Still, Jen was able to piece it all together in a perfect unified look that has drawn raves from neighbors, friends and passers-by! The finished patios are inviting, and the landscaping creates a comfortable and cozy space. Start to finish took just about 4 weeks; communication was continuous and timely. Steve, along with Avi and Angel, were true professionals and their work was excellent. The crew was timely, courteous, and skillful. I was amazed at the on-site clean-up that occurred each day, allowing us to use and enjoy our yard in the evening after CC had left. We hired Jennifer in 2014 after we met her and saw some of her work at a home show in Hartford. She brought enthusiasm and vision to the table. She can see a finished project from the start but she was also open to our ideas and needs. Communication was open and easy with phone calls, texting, or messaging. Jennifer and Steve just completed a backyard hardscape and landscape project for us. They worked hard to come up with a design that fit all of our needs and desires. Installation was efficient and clean. The work was done 7 days a week until the project was complete. The yard was cleaned at the end of each day. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and will use them again for any projects in the future.

Creative Contours is top notch, I highly recommend them. Jen’s does the designs. I was impressed with the amount of time she spent with my wife and I getting to know our taste and how we wanted to use our backyard. The designs she provided were amazing. They were very creative and all the elements blended together perfectly. After Jen completes the design Steve takes over. He runs the project and is meticulous. He does things right. The work they did for me included replacement of a failed retaining wall. I live at the bottom of a hill and get a lot of water. With the drainage system Steve put in, the wall could probably survive a tsunami. It is not just Jen and Steve that make this a great company though. Their crew are all skillful masons who are also very polite and professional. Overall, the project far exceeded my expectations. They gave me my dream backyard. The communication was great and everything was finished on schedule and on budget. It was a pleasure working with them. I will definitely be hiring them again in the future to help with the next phases of my project.

Jennifer Noyes and her company Creative Countor Landscape Design just completed a complete redesign of our front, side and back yards. We had cut down all the bushes in front of the home last year in order to have the house painted. Jennifer came out and met with us to understand what we were hoping to achieve.Jennifer is extremely knowledgeable and grasped the look we wanted immediately. No trying to talk us into plants or styles just executing with suggestion what we had in mind.She was able to come out a day earlier than planned and started immediately. This was no small job as we had the entire lawn removed, as well as, half a dumpster truck of stones the previous owners had used for ground cover. While that was in process Jennifer was prepping the soil for new planting, removing stumps, adding soil and planting perennials in our picture window flower box. The trees and bushes went in next. We wanted short plantings away from the edge of the house so that we would not wind up with the unwieldy overgrown trees that were here when we moved in. Jennifer had identified a brilliant assortment of colors that would peak at different times in the year.Finally, topsoil was brought in and the yard graded. Another company did hydro seeding for us. We did that just because the hydro seeding had worked so well at our former home.I have to commend all of Jennifers employees. They are friendly, hard working and made the neighbors comfortable. Note, they did appreciate that we had a solid supply of cold Powerade available for them.Even though the grass is still coming in these photos should help give you some idea of the fine work Creative Countor Landscape Design did for us. It could not have been a more pleasant experience and the results are magnificent.We highly recommend Jennifer and Creative Contour to anyone who wants good landscaping at a fair price, done on time.
