Most people here are wonderful. You will run into the rare grumpy person though. The food shelf is well stocked, the people working in the aid section are knowledgeable and willing the help, and the thrift store has some awesome stuff usually. Plus you cant beat the prices.

Great place to go shopping for second hand items with several more years of life on them. My girlfriend was able to buy several pairs of jeans here in like new condition for one fourth the price. I also have found tools and household items for a fraction of what theyd cost elsewhere.

I used to love HOPE. Recently their prices have risen astronomically and service has gone down. I realize it is a charity shop but 20$ for a donated used puzzle and you cant even make sure all the pieces are there because its taped up on every side and sold as is seems like a rip off

Hope has a staff that seems genuinely concerned with helping the less fortunate. Theyre kind, understanding and helpful. Theyre a great place to find resources for low income individuals and families.

Wide variety of items although theres often broken furniture for sale. They have a voucher program for kids from low income homes and the disabled which is very nice BUT theres a catch. You can only buy clothing. This makes things difficult because sometimes poor people need a few mismatched dishes or stained up couch to sit on. And even the clothing has a catch. If the item has a green line though the price tag you cant buy it with a voucher. None of the new clothes can be purchased, none of the d3cent clothing is off limits. What is you have a job interview or something? Theres also a green line in the tags of anything that doesnt have a stain or a stretched out collar. You have to dig.

The last three times we tried donating stuff, it was rejected because of some cosmetic flaw or it was just an item they wouldnt accept due to rules. But they have no problems selling dust filled air filtration systems, and, once when I was there, half used bottles of pet shampoo. We tried donating a futon but was turned away because after 15 years of use the frame had rubbed against the fabric cover on the mattress and there was a small hole. We tried donating a headboard but they rejected it because it still had a metal bracket on it and thats, to them, a safety hazard. We had an unused cat litter tray and that was rejected because it was simply something they refuse to take.I assure you people in need wouldnt have been this picky and its no wonder places like Goodwill proliferate.

Supposed to be for needy homeless people who are struggling to get bye!! Not the case in this store! Prices are outrageous and the staff are completely unwilling to help out. This is a place that needy people go to get help. Tell me how a homeless person can come up with 30$ for a winter coat? Plz STOP donating to this scam!

Review №39

Most of this place consists of a warehouse with goods that have not yet been processed. The result is they are very picky about what they take, so you may show up with five items, they take two and then youre left having to drive somewhere else to donate the rest. Prices are higher than Ive come to expect from thrift stores.
