I live here in Dayton but the girls had a sleepover getaway. We got kids...the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Anytime we needed sheets and towels, someone came quickly.Great place to run away for the weekend. Great place to go shopping near by.
Our room was decent, and the staff were nice (one of the ladies even held the elevator for us when we had a load to take upstairs), but there were some security issues that left us concerned. Its supposed to take a room key to get in, but two nights when we came back, the rear entrance was intentionally left open by someone. Last night, our car was broken into. We didnt have anything obviously valuable, so it seems nothing was taken, but the center console was open and all the contents were out on the front seats, and the two front doors were ajar. The front desk lady was really nice about it, but we probably wont be back again unless security cameras are installed.
We stayed 4 nights for a sporting event, the staff was awesome, so friendly and helpful. I would give them 5 stars! However, the property itself is not up to Marriott standards and the cleaning was definitely lacking. It desperately needs to be updated. Bathrooms were sketchy - found hairs and lots of dust/gunk all along the bathroom corners. Tub was probably clean but so old/used that it looks permanently dirty. Outside card reader mostly didnt work... The price was good, so on one hand I cant complain too much but on the other, I do expect better standards from Marriott properties. Want to reiterate that the staff was great though!
If I could rate this “hotel” a zero, I would. Where to start. Upon arrival our room had clearly not been cleaned or cleaned well. Stained and ripped sheets with hair on them. Balls of hair rolling around the bathroom floor. The floor looked liked it hasn’t been mopped in weeks. The man who checked us in was super nice and apologetic and gave us fresh sheets. Shower was broken with a steady drip. Shady people hanging out outside of the hotel. Housekeeping was folding sheets and towels in the hotel lobby. Asked another woman in the morning if we could get our room cleaned and she laughed at me. My parents, who are in there late sixties, were locked out of their room and had to go to another hotel (silver lining) but couldn’t get their stuff out of the room until the next day. I promise you, just don’t.
Recently had an excellent stay at the Courtyard Dayton South. The staff was outstanding. I accidentally left a item behind and they were super helpful in retrieving it and getting shipped to me. Special thanks to Tara for all the help.
Jen at the front desk was so nice, the business center computers were down and she let me print off my boarding pass at the front desk. I wish more people would be nice like this.
My stay was horrible! I switched rooms due to the first room being hot and having a strong odor of mildew. I honestly should have left but due to traveling 8 hours and being extremely tired I didn’t. The next room at least had the AC on but smelled like cigarettes! Stains on the ceilings, toilet didn’t flush properly (had to flush then wait for the noise to stop and flush again as you hold the handle down for it to fully flush). One of the outside doors didn’t work. Just and over all NO stars, had to mark one to post review. Look else where if you’re looking into staying here if that’s an option.
I checked in late and my only request was to be in a room that was quiet. I unfortunately was given a room on the first floor right next to the stairs. From 8:30 am on all I heard was the door slamming 🤨 Then I was charged $110 when it was suppose to cost me $85..for literally less than 7 hours of terrible sleep. Disappointed Marriott.
ROOM WAS VERY DIRTY. Had to wear flip flops on carpet in room. So dirty. Told magaer she didnt care. No breakfast. Spent over 120 for 4 days there on that. Booked online or would of walked out. Place is AWFUL way too much money for this hotel. Our Bill was around 390. Way too much for this outdated dirty hotel.
Positive: Mother to mother there is an employee that sneaked and watched my child and I at the pool....... Be aware... front desk just told me he was strange and was found talking to himself. Negative: Mother to mother there is an employee that moved an under construction curtain and watched my child and I at the pool.......It was soo pervy that we left. Be aware... front desk just told me he was strange and was found talking to himself???? Creepy
Not the worst hotel Ive stayed at, but definitely not the best. The room just felt kind of icky.Stayed here for a business trip. Check-in went well, but I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the room. There were a few pieces of mulch on the carpet which appeared to have been tracked in through the sliding door (though it was locked). The hard surfaces had some dirt and debris here and there, and the bathroom had that needs an upgrade look to it.The toilet flushed slowly and the sink drained very slowly. Toilet paper was cheap single-ply stuff. The caulk around the toilet looked old and yellowed. The power plugs on the desk lamp didnt work, and there were no USB charge sockets anywhere. The refrigerator struggled to keep my soft drinks slightly cool. Not at all what Id expected from a Courtyard by Marriott property.I ended up going to another hotel that was closer to my training classes. The other hotel is very nice and nicely modernized - its actually what Id expected to find at the Courtyard but didnt.Marriott, its time to spend some money on your properties before its too late...
Would have been nice to know that it was under construction the whirlpool was also out of Commission one side of the entire Hotel was under construction the bar area was also under construction no kitchen just a warmer for sausage and cheese muffins and they overdrafted our account they did not explain all the fees and terms. Or taken into consideration of our situation
Positive: Location Negative: Linens old, stained, frayed. Patio door on first floor not locked¿not discovered till morning. Not what I expected from Marriott brand.
Had a few issues with our stay. The staff was great though. All friendly and helped us feel comfortable.
They had some missing amenities: bistro is closed until further notice, didnt have floor luggage racks, no pens/notepads in the rooms, and though I didnt try to use it, the hot tub wasnt working. The hotel did have really comfortable beds, the TV worked just fine, they put together little bags for breakfast (for purchase) with either a yogurt or fruit cup, a muffin, a granola bar, and juice. I say I liked it because they are doing the best they can during this COVID insanity and I did enjoy my stay.
I thought we were getting a quiet hotel but that wasnt the case. They did put us on the quiet side of the hotel though. This hotel has rooms with balconies but we were on the first floor so we enjoyed our patio (with the exception of the sound of the number children enjoying the pool across the courtyard). My husband even befriended a squirrel who came back to our room each evening. Breakfast was a bag of snacks due to Covid so if youre looking for a place with breakfast included you might want to inquire about how theyre doing it during Covid. If youre meat and potatoes folks snack crackers, yogurt and a juice cup may not work for you. Otherwise good accommodations. We would stay there again.
Wouldnt give any stars, if able to give a review without stars!!!!Came for a baseball tournament. Multiple families had numerous complaints and problems with room and facility.Rooms were dirty. They did not have hand soap in bathroom, had to ask th3 front desk for the soap for the sink. All soap, shampoo, and condition in bathroom were out and never refilled after being asked. No room service. Ran out of sheets, no pillows. Room wasnt ready for the pull out bed to be used, no sheets/blanket (hotel ran out of sheets/blankets)Bathroom in lobby, broken locks, toilet wasnt secure, and the toilet paper dispenser was broke. No coffee in morning, staff didnt know how to make. Went into back to refill container and came out saying it was dark roast other staff member corrects them by saying, no, thats just a sticker on the container
I thought this would be as nice as the other courtyard Ive stayed in. Need to be cleaned more. Bed was not changed.
Requested early check in, showed up at 2:45 but room wasnt even available at regular check in time. Had to wait around until 3:20. Pool was so cloudy I couldnt even see my knees. Hot tub is down for repairs. Room was clean and tidy though. No places to plug in an EV, even just 110V.
Maybe we just had a bad experience, but I cant agree with the prior reviews that said this place was good. Room was dirty, service was bad - didnt clean the room or bring towels after I called, room was old with badly draining tub and beds that felt unstable. Pool water looked dirty to the point that even my kids chose to not swim. Worst Marriott hotel Ive ever stayed at.
Was this previously a motel 6? My parents have been marriott members for years. Dirty carpets and this time the shower head sprayed everywhere. The excuse is, theyre going to remodel CLOSE IT AND REMODEL! YOURE GIVING MARRIOTT A BAD NAME!!!
We booked two king rooms with sofabeds, for three occupants each. We booked through the Bonvoy app just two hours prior to our midnight arrival. When we got there, we were given rooms with no sofabeds, which wasn’t going to work for us, as our teenagers aren’t exactly going to sleep in beds with us. We told the night clerk, and he went on about how nobody reads the fine print and Ohio law doesn’t require them to give us the sofabed, even if it was in the reservation. He managed to find one king with sofabed, but there wasn’t a second, so he switched the other room to two queens. My teenage boys are over 6’ tall and refuse to sleep in the same queen bed together, so one of them slept in the chair. Our room smelled funny, and they hadn’t cleaned the bathroom adequately. I stepped on a used bandaid that had been missed under the shower curtain, and it stuck to my foot. Gross. There was also a huge glob of body wash on the bathtub edge, which made it obvious that the tub hadn’t been cleaned. I have been staying in Fairfields, Residence Inns, Hampton Inns and even a Quality Inn for the past two weeks and had a better experience at all of them. I’m taking Courtyard out of my list of possibilities for the future.
I was very pleased at how clean and fresh everything was. We had been driving all day through snow and was so ready to rest. It was nice being able to go in and not worry about anything! Thank you so much for taking care of us!
Its all right no free breakfast though
Nice room worker but dust little more check see any thing left behind
Friendly staff; nice laid back atmosphere. Barista not open. Breakfast in to-go bags only.As a coach driver for a sports team, I was hoping to see more accommodations for bus load sports teams.
Super big thanks to the staff. Early check in. And a great price for this traveling health care provider.
Negative: Cleanliness is not up to par. Needs a deep clean!
Marriott should be ashamed to still have this property. Stay at the Springhill Suites down the road.I feel like I need to shower after leaving this place...
Staff was super friendly, Room was very clean. Pool was nice and relaxing. Would stay here again.
Being the Courtyard by Marriott the rooms were very disgusting. Discarded dirty towels from the previous occupant laying in the closet, stained carpet in various areas, shampoo conditioner bottles In shower were empty, hair in the sink, the couch appeared to have been abused and cushions were shot. Marriott you should be disappointed with this hotel. 1 star is generous.
We live close to Indiana, and the pools there are still closed due to Covid. So we drove 45 minutes to this hotel simply to swim and have a night away from the cold weather. Our bathroom floor was covered in hair, had clearly not been swept whatsoever. My child’s pillow had a chunk of hair that didn’t belong to any of us. When we woke up and went down to the pool, the water was so murky you couldn’t even see the bottom. On the bottom of the pool was an unknown something but again, couldn’t tell because the water was filthy. There were no towels even if we wanted to chance swimming in it. We drove that far just for my kids to be disappointed about not being able to swim plus staying in a dirty room. Upon checking out early because there was no point in staying, I politely voiced my concerns and was informed that the manager doesn’t come in until 2pm and “might” give me a call. I would think with Covid and not many people traveling, the hotel staff would have adequate time to at least sweep the bathroom floor. Disappointed.
I was really impressed by the suite very homey feeling nice decor pool was open
Really needs an upgrade. Stayed on points so cant complain to much, but really, is this Marriott standard?
Our room was clean and well disinfected. The hotel as a hole was amazing and very restful!
Expectations versus reality. When I reserve a suite at a Marriott hotel, I have certain expectations. This particular Courtyard failed miserably. Peeling wallpaper, mildew in the shower and on the shower curtain, not even sure what is going on with the window, food under the couch, the freezer was in desperate need of a defeosting/cleaning and broken door stops. Disappointing.
I love this place its beautiful and the people are so nice
Positive: Price and location Negative: Needs deep cleaning in hallways Incidental charges appearing on my credit card (cleared out eventually)
Staff is nice. First room had dirty fridge and the door lock didnt work. Moved to another room to pull back the bed linens to see adult stains on the sheet. Got new ones had to change them ourselves. No breakfast no pool wasnt told this until after payment. They tried to make it right with a free night. But wouldnt stay again. Needs a good cleaning.
Great place love the sliding door rooms on the first floor
I loved it clean neat my first time but not my last visit
Nice place ......liked the lunch bag!
Very nice room. King bed very comfortable. Good water pressure. Nice staff.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a good location. The rooms were a good value for the price. The staffs friendliness and helpfulness was exceptional. I havent had that good of a hotel experience in years. This was my first time staying at a Courtyard by Marriott. We will be staying at another sometime soon. And, If the level of service that we received is typical of the chain, there will be many more stays for us.
Clean hotel that was comfortable and styled in an attractive way. We really enjoyed the large pool which we had to ourselves all evening. The two things I missed...No complimentary breakfast. If you have a high enough Marriott status you are comped $10 at the cafe. But it doesn’t go far and the food is nothing special. And you definitely won’t get enough for a family of four. The hot tub was down. So sad.
Because of COVID-19, We Gave Up should be the sign in the lobby. Garbage cans full, unkept dirty hallways, NO food, even though their sister property has breakfast. HVAC in room noisy, so I turned it off. An older Courtyard that isnt performing well during covid-19. There are better choices nearby.
Nice clean place very cozy
We came here for our business trip and family, I like most everything about this hotel I am very picky and very happy to stay here. It’s good location our room is very clean not smell, the room don’t have microwave we ask they bring to us quickly, great customer service, comfort bed quite privacy and have patio make me feel like at home.
Mike was so nice to me and my mom. Mike remembered me in the morning when I went to the lobby to get coffee. They were not open yet but mike asked me how my mom was doing this morning. That was very thoughtful. He was the only one working Friday and we ordered food and drinks. He was so accommodating and kept apologizing for taking so long. When in reality he was quite fast at bringing our food to us, while serving others. My mom and I will most definitely be back to stay here again when we are passing through because of him. Carson in the morning Gave me complimentary coffee and was very pleasant to speak with.
While this was our 2nd choice it should have been our 1st.The rooms were clean and the people friendly and helpful.
Front desk clerk at 530 ish on Friday the 16th was outstanding. Checked right in and I noted she immediately went to cleaning various parts of hotel right away after. Greeted and asked if I needed anything everytime I was seen and if night out with wife went well. Would have been 5 stars if bar, restaurant and pool were accessible. I know it is covid related, but we need to start opening up. Cannot give five stars until all ammenties are available
Stayed two nights. Spacious room. First room no microwave. Asked for second room and Bam got it. Some renovation going on which a good sign care about keeping up the property. Not to long of drive to college campus where I went for sporting event. Family restaurants and stores close by. Bed was so comfy.
Nice hotel comfortable beds rooms are clean
My Room was dirty I had to get a new room it was dirty!!! Then they charged my card for a security deposit I never received it back!!!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!!
You cant beat the service or the price for this hotel as a business traveler or for a casual long weekend trip with the family. The staff is genuine and makes you feel at home immediately. The rooms and grounds are comfortable and clean. Theres a lot to do nearby, or you can just stick around the hotel and mingle with the staff or other guests. Everyone here is happy and friendly and it just makes you want to be there. I really like this hotel and would strongly recommend it to anyone needing a nice, economical hotel for one night or many!
Where do I start. Myself and 2 coworkers staying on business. All 3 of us experienced plumbing issues. 2 of us had to get new rooms because of it. The attached photo was how I found the toilet in my first room. Yes, that is liquid human waste. My coworker had sewage backing up in his shower, in his first room. In my new room, the toilet would not consistently flush and the TV stopped working. Also, the keyed entry door to my wing of the hotel did not work, so multiple times I had to walk around to the front in the rain to get to my room. Courtyards are typically okay. Not this one. Oh, and the pool was closed.
During check-in, this location was experiencing a Down system. That said, the front desk person (Colleen) took it in stride and handled the situation quickly and promptly. I cant express my appreciation enough for how she handled this situation. It was mid-evening and I was very travel-weary. I was in no mood for any kind of delay. I hope this comment gets back to her in someway along with some positive recognition for her efforts. She deserves kudos because Ive had many similar experiences with other hotels and they didnt go nearly as smoothly as this.
We requested a room near the pool and were delighted with the warm wayer and close proximity. The king suite meets the needs of our family and the front desk and housekeeping staff are friendly with attention to detail. We needed feminine hygiene products and were immediately helped out until we could get to the store later in the day thanks to our housekeepers
Although their cancellation policy says you can cancel, you cant. We came up for a weekend of swimming and fun, however the hot tub is out of order. We asked if we could transfer our reservation somewhere else but we were denied. Beware of the hidden fees such as the $7 per day parking fee. This will be our last trip to this hotel.
I reserved two rooms for my boss and I for the week here, for some reason they decided it was a good idea to put a motion sensor on the thermostat. So when it senses movement it will run and cool the room. But during times of no movement, the part your paying for the A/C shuts off and you wake up sweating. You get up and before you reach the thermostat it kicks on when sensing you move but the display clearly shows the room is several degrees above the rooms temperature setting.
Positive: Comfortable beds, respected privacy, Negative: The pool was closed dur to Covid and no food service and it was very expensive. I think if they should lower the nightly rate when they do not offer some of the extras..
Found a floss pick in our shower, hair on the floor, as well as a used towel on the door. The bathroom did not look as though it had been cleaned at all. Very disgusted.
Been staying here for over 30 days, awesome hotel but the staff is really what makes them great, every staff member is truly amazing and they have made our stay the best experience we have had at a hotel. Highly recommend!!
Excellent hotel, left my tablet and they emailed me telling me that the tablet was found in the room! So happy to know people care about my belongings! Thanks so much.
Was nice comfy
The staff was awesome and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and at a good price. Next time in Dayton area will stay here
The overall hotel and staff are amazing! However, they do not have a breakfast, only a little bar with limited food! This could definitely be an issue for families who are staying long term or want something easy for kids for breakfast. However, there are plenty of restaurants near by, if needed, but for families that could get expensive! Besides that, the hotel is wonderful! Would definitely recommend!
They were extremely apologetic as half their rooms had been flooded! So they set me up with a hotel very close which was extremely kind of them. Thank you to them and wish them luck with fixing the damage!
Nice place, very clean, and peaceful. Would recommend.😊
This hotel location was very good. The staff handled our group as easily as the group would allow, in other words, the hold-ups were on the side of our group, not the staff and they were very patient with us all. Though we desired to eat something when we arrived and nothing was available in the hotel, it was near some fast-food restaurants and the mall. Also, the Internet service was quite slow, so upgrades are needed in that department, but overall it was a wonderful environment, the hospitality skills of the staff were spectacular.
I stayed in Dayton for a friends wedding and I needed a hotel close to Brookville, OH. I stay at Courtyards often so I trusted the experience would be delightful based on past experiences. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and overall I had a nice stay. They dont have room service and they didnt put a bar of soap in my bathroom until my final day. The bar of soap - an oversight Im sure and I didnt mind going to the bar. I think they make you go to the bar so you can see what else they have to offer for food and beverage. Great stay. Decent value for the price. Its close to Target and a mall and plenty of food!
Our recent stay at Courtyard Dayton South/Mall was wonderful. From the moment we walked in and noticed the cleanliness and neatness, I knew we did well. Our room was on the second floor. It was super clean from the bathroom to the living area. The bed was the most comfortable/cozy Ive slept in, and I loved the linens (of which Im trying to find online to order for home)! The staff was friendly and the location was perfect for the mall, restaurants, and other area goodies. You wont go wrong staying here!
Very clean. Very nice staff!
Spotless room with the most comfortable king bed and pillows; also has a full size desk, and sofa. Flat screen TV swivels. The restaurant breakfast was delicious; has Starbucks coffee. The bar with the lower level sitting area was really nice; just wish they were open until 11p instead of 10p; and they have happy hour until 7p. Every staff member was helpful and pleasant. The location near the highway was perfect.
The customer service here is impeccable! We visited one evening after getting married and the check in processing alone was so fun due to the employees working, Larry and Reid. Tara, Larry, Reid, Mike, Tonya and another young gentlemen(we didn’t catch his name), are one of the best in hotel hospitality. The rooms are always clean and amenities are easily accessible if need be.We look forward to our next visit and thank you for the hospitality!
Top notch customer service and wonderful experience that I expect from Marriott. Great balcony over the courtyard/ pool area which is visible also from the King bedroom window in the suite. Front desk is always eager to help.
The Courtyard Marriott is in dire need of updating, specifically the bathrooms. This particular Courtyard Marriotts carpeting was in need of some heavy duty vacuuming. The Bistro food really wasnt very good...we sought out other Restaurants in the area instead. We were in town for a wedding and next time I willread the reviews of the Hotel before I select the one chosen by the Bridal Party.
Staff was friendly and helpful, they checked us in very quickly and later when we had questions had friendly answers. Room and bathroom was extremely clean, as was the refrigerator. Refrigerator worked well too - got nice and cold. Plenty of room to move around with a large desk. We were impressed with Courtyard Dayton South/Mall. We did not eat there, so we cannot comment on it.
I totally recommend! Super convenient and reasonably priced. Comfy beds, clean room and great staff.
Convenient location next to the Dayton mall for dining and shopping. The staff was very courteous and friendly and was able to accommodate my last minute stay as I had to change hotels due to a booking issue elsewhere. They found me exactly the type of room I wanted and the privacy I desired. Very clean hotel with well kept rooms. Would definitely recommend to visitors.
The walls are super thin!!!! My father and I arrived after driving 8 hours across country and we just wanted to relax and go to sleep. Upon getting to our room we could hear music playing two rooms down. I went down to the front desk to describe the issue and asked to be moved. The receptionist completed my requested but during the whole processes he acted like I was bugging him to complete his job.We got to our new room and quickly feel asleep on the nice soft beds. Later around 2 in the morning we were awaken by our next door neighbor getting into his room and talking on the phone with his wife. He wasnt raising his voice, the walls were just that thin that he sounded like he was in our room. A few minutes later some younger guys just got to their rooms down the hall after a night of drinking and began discribing all their nightly activities. If it wasnt so late already I would of left the hotel.
I stayed for 2 nights on business at this Courtyard. The hotel was convenient close to the interstate and restaurants. The lobby was clean and decorated nicely. There was a small restaurant, bar and mini-store that was convenient as well. My room was very clean, spacious and decorated nicely to include a refrigerator. It is nice to get into the bed and the bedding smells freshly laundered! Nice stay and would recommend!
We stayed at Courtyard Dayton South/Mall on our way to my mothers funeral in Illinois. We took advantage of the breakfast served in the hotel. The food was delicious. However, my wife lives with an allergy to soy. Without going into details, my wife was served the right sandwich, prepared the wrong way; but, then the server who took her order brought the right plate out for. Without hesitation, they made it right, and offered to go above and beyond to comp our stay. Well be
Luxurious accommodations & great prices for a weekend jaunt
I loved everything about the courtyard. Housekeeping staff was so cool and friendly I loved our room and the fitness room the most. My kids enjoyed the pool and my husband enjoyed the bistro so all together we enjoyed our 3 night stay everything was beautiful.
Even though the hotel is in a great location, being able to get a good night sleep is important. The amount of noise that we experienced on two out of three nights is unacceptable. This was my first time at this location. I will stick to other locations.
I had a few issues. Bugs in the room one night and pigeon nest on my balcony after they switched my rooms. The customer service was nice to fix the issues. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway. I know courtyard is updating its hotels. Hopefully this one is soon to be updated.
We chose to use this hotel for guests attending our daughter’s wedding. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. Bed was wonderful! Making reservations was a nightmare, majority of our guests were turned away because block was full, which it wasn’t. One family who did book, didn’t receive the wedding block rate because the block was full...no it wasn’t. Fortunately, a very helpful front desk person adjusted the rate. We were promised a shuttle for 15 rooms, which we didn’t get because our guests couldn’t book rooms. I myself as mother of the bride called and left 7 different messages which were never returned. Very frustrating experience, fortunately the rooms were nice and the housekeeping staff was helpful and worked around our crazy wedding schedule.
I was stayed there only one night, but it was very pleasant. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the front desk staff were incredible welcoming our large group of 145. The breakfast was good, but the service was average. The food service employee was not friendly at all, nor was she aware that we kept running out of food and beverages....we had to keep serarching for her to ask her to replenish our breakfast buffet, as the food offered was way underestimated.
Ideal location for business. Easy on and off to the major interstates. Lots to do and see in the area close to Hotel. After hour in the bar area allows for some good networking.
I really like the people there. However I am not a fan of the Bistro. The people there work very hard to take care of you but its hard to quickly take care of customers with only one to two people at the breakfast counter. On this trip there were 4 people in line so I left and went out for breakfast. I understand the staffing issue, your busy only for a couple of hours but that does not help me get service faster. I like the buffet style breakfast better because it is quicker. When I stay for the food it is great, its just slow because of the set up not the people. Again I cannot praise the people enough, the staff is great!!!!!!!
Paper thin walls. Construction going on. No peace, no sleep. Complet waste of money. Opt for somewhere that is newer, with managers who might actually care about your comfort during your stay. This place is a 1 and a half star flop house where your can here everything in all the rooms near by and even across the hall.
It was a pleasure working with the Courtyard Marriott Dayton South/Mall personnel for my daughter’s wedding. The guests were impressed with how organized and friendly the staff was and commented on the cleanliness of the rooms and the beautiful decor of the lobby. We could not have asked for a better experience!
We stayed for 3 days and upon arrival our room was not clean. I let the front desk know and he contacted management and came upstairs and cleaned the head board that had stuff stuck all over it. The floor had not been swept and the bathroom had not been swept or mopped. The room also had not been dusted. Housekeeping came in and made the beds and gave us towels and that was about it. We also had a sofa bed in our room and the sheet that was on it was covered in crumbs and dirt. Our king bed had no mattress protector on it, just a thin sheet. The mattresses were old and hard.
Great hotel, great staff. My home away from home
We stayed here for three nights, were so pleased that they deserve the great review...so here goes.inside the room, TV, refrigerator, hair dryer. The room was bigger (and nicer) than expected. There is a desk/table that doubles for both work and dining. Straight back is the bed area, and then off of that is a dressing area with the sink, then a separate toilet/bathtub with (strong) shower behind a separate door. That way, two can share the bathroom area with some privacy if one needs the toilet. The room was very clean, which is important to me.A little gym too, which surprised me. Pool looked nice.I will recommend that if you can, get a room on top floor, side away from the highway, as the traffic noise is noticeable.I Having read about that in previous reviews, I brought my earplugs and had no problem with it,Im usually sensitive to that sort of thing and a light sleeper. This is a very nice hotel with great quality and value. You need have no reservations about staying here. The Manger of the Starbuck Bistro is outstanding and a real customer person. You will not be disappointed!
The hotel was as nice as you always expect Marriott Courtyards to be. Food, beverages and staff were friendly and helpful. The workout room was adequate. The rooms were good size and clean but if you have a bad back I dont know if I would recommend this location. Assuming all rooms have beds like ours they are incredibly hard! I got up the next morning and had back issues for the last 4 days of our trip. So if you have a strong back I say go for it. Otherwise you might want to check with management first to see if some rooms have softer beds than others.
I travel frequently and Titanium Elite member of Marriott. Staying in Courtyard seems to be a crap shoot and the age of the hotel plays a role in the quality and consistency of the room condition. Most seem to update the front lobby experience with modern updates which is misleading in comparison to the room itself.
I stayed two nights on a recent business trip. The hotel was recommended by the business I was visiting which was nearby. I found the hotel to be restful and a good value. The room and public areas were spotless. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in while traveling. I slept well both nights. The fitness equipment was in good working order. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet even though it faced the parking lot. The nearby Dayton Mall offered many dining choices within an easy walk. I would not hesitate to stay here again
This hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would like a small breakfast bar as I am not a huge breakfast person and would want a whole meal from the restaurant but the sandwiches and burger from the menu were all really good and a decent amount. Overall it was a great place to stay!
