Had an appointment at 11:30am Sunday October 24 for a deep tissue massage. This was my first time coming to this location. I had tried to book for a deep tissue massage the previous week and was told a specialist for deep tissue wouldn’t Be available til the following week. I said no problem and scheduled for Sunday October 24th.When I received my massage I assumed I would be having a specialist actually applying pressure and was very disappointed with the results. It felt like someone was just rubbing their hands and no pressure. I asked the massage therapist to apply pressure and was told that was the max they could apply. If I’m paying $105 for a deep tissue massage I would expect to actually feel a deep tissue massage. Never going back after this experience.
Ive been a member since they opened about 8 years ago. Its always clean and serve is great. My therapist is awesome.
Extremely disappointed. I scheduled my appointment online, 1 month ahead of time. Never have I ever booked a service at a massage studio where clothing is required. Nowhere in the booking of my service was it indicated that clothing is required. Not only did I get turned away for wearing clothing not conducive to my service (jeans), I wasted my day driving here, and planned my day around the service. Unbelievably unprofessional!!!This was at the Massage Envy location in Springboro, Ohio called the exchange.
I have obtained an attorney for recovery of STOLEN money, and the stress this place has caused. A Tod M if anyone else is having this same issue please contact him. Last Summer I became unable to use their services due to medical. I did a freeze then submitted paperwork 2 weeks later from my pcm and spine surgeon that it is dangerous for me to continue these services. They have continued to make withdrawals almost a year later, again today. In all I was able to have 3 massages while they have charged our account nearly a thousand dollars throughout this. The contract membership saves you nothing and they dont honor freezes nor medical.
This place offers many services other than massages. They offer facials, stretch sessions, and more. I would say they have great availability in the sense that they offer early and late appointments, but usually their booked over a week out always. Ive only seen 4 different massage therapists so Im not sure if thats good variety/selection for a place like this. I know two are light to medium and one is medium to firm not sure what the other is. I have a membership and enjoy using it very much. If you want to add onto your massage you can but you would need to book it with your appointment and cant add on a day or two before the appointment since they are so booked. All in all a pretty nice place to get a massage.

If you like over priced massages and lots of membership rules then Massage Envy is just the place for you. I finally had enough and decided to cancel my membership! I have never experienced anything like it and not sure how they stay in business following such a business model. There is a cost if you want to give one of your prepaid sessions to friends or family and if you do not cancel or reschedule your appointment the day before you lose half of a session (let’s face it life happens-unexpected meetings at work, illness, etc...). Some things you just cannot plan for or know in advance. They also have a high turnover in therapists and if you try and schedule an appointment at a salon that is not your ‘home’ salon where you joined...good luck getting an appointment at a desirable time. One of the good points is Marcy. She was great and I will definitely miss her! Think twice before you join. Oh and if you do not become a member, be prepared to pay over $105 for a 60 minute massage.
Went here for a massage for the first time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It simply takes time finding a therapist youre the most comfortable with. But Ive never had a bad experience. They do offer a verbal add on and sell other items but they arent necessary.
Omg that was an experience I have never had. The Massage was the greatest experience. Chris was my therapist he has a great hands . I signed up for 6 months so I can go in and enjoy it again and again. Im keeping Chris. Everyone there is so polite and they explain everything first hand. You just have to be a judge to that. It was a Mothers day gift from my son and husband.
I had a 5PM appointment for a 60 minute service. The weather ended up becoming a winter mix and the roads were terrible. I am only a few minutes away and almost right in front of the turn in to get into the exchange is a large automobile crash with multiple police crews, and EMS. That caused a delay in me arriving and once I arrive Im frankly all nerves and very anxious. Im greatly not with any niceties but with the abrupt fact that Im late, I mention the crash out front and curt reply to given. Im taken back to a small waiting area and I end up waiting for about 5 minutes and then Im finally escorted to a room. The massage therapist seems then says that Im only going to get about 35 min of massage time. I get visibly upset at this point between trying to arrive there safely and on time and this thing that is supposed to help me relax and feel better becoming the thing that finally pushes me to tears. The massage therapist suggestions that I reschedule, I follow her back up front and speak to the front desk. While at the front desk I reschedule and am never told of any fee, but I ask if rescheduling will cost me a fee and Im assured that she does not think so, with the weather & the crash that my tardiness is within reason and she really doesnt believe I will be. I asked to see a manager because I was concerned about it and she says none is available at the time but she really doesnt think I will be charged. As I leave I start to cry, and most of the way home Im in tears. I get home and receive via text from Codi at Massage envy that I am in fact being charged 50% of the service. I immediately call and explain what happened and what I was told and Codi is completely unempathetic, and cold.If this is how a business that promotes self care and relaxation treats customers I am absolutely appalled and will never go back. I will also share on every review possible how terrible the customer service is. The massage therapist suggested I reschedule, never once mentioning any cancellation fee. As I reschedule Im assured no cancellation fee will be applied, yet as soon as I get home I get a text telling me of a cancellation fee. What kind of business treats customers like this especially one that thrives off of relaxation and self care.
I stopped going because there is no such thing as an hour massage. They take you back when your appointment is to begin, and then 10 to 15 minutes later they start the massage. They stop on the hour, so you’re lucky if you received 50 minutes of a massage. I was told by a massage therapist who works there that they are told to take 10 minutes off the massage. She talked about someone who was coming in for a 30 minute massage, and he would only receive 20 minutes.
Caveat Emptor. Why do you only get a 50 minute massage if you pay for and hour massage? I want what I pay for. Im prepared as soon as I arrive. It takes me 1 minute to disrobe and lie down.

My wife was paying the monthly fee and massages were good. Then we moved out of state and the nightmare of canceling began (still ongoing). Took multiple calls and finally thought it was cancelled, no charges on our card for Aug and Sept. Then we got a double charge in October. Almost like they hoped we would stop looking at our statement! Called the store this morning, they said there was no manager to speak with. Called the corporate office and they said we had to call the local store, corporate cant help. Went online and disputed the charge with my credit card company. Be careful with this store!
I have been to at least half a dozen locations, this one is no different. The level of professionalism from the staff and my therapist were polite, friendly, and radiating an outstanding positive attitude. If you have not tried ANY Massage Envy locations or services then I recommend this location. Thank you for the experience and therapeutic service while on my road trip back west.
This was my very first ever full body massage & they were so great!! Chris my massage therapist was so nice and professional he made me feel very comfortable & it wasnt at all awkward like I thought it was going to be. I highly recommend it I felt amazing afterwards!!!
Ive been here twice. The first time (a prenatal massage with Sara) I really enjoyed. The second was a couples massage with my husband and was... awkward to say the least. I had Cheryl. She was awful, talked nonstop and hurried through the whole thing. I didnt enjoy it at all. My husband had a middle aged man (I want to say Tim was his name) and he sighed, sniffed and breathed heavily in his ear the whole time. My husband said he was very uncomfortable the whole time. I have gift cards but Im reluctant to return because theyre so pushy about signing up for their membership and it makes me really uncomfortable. Ill either make a return visit with Sara to use them up or give away the gift cards and after that no more.
I had a great massage from Chris and probably one of the best conversations Ive had in a long time. Go see Chris hes great

When I first went in July 2016 I was really hurting from used muscles being overused, my own fault. I called on the spare of the moment and got appointments for me and my husband the same day, something three other places could not do. After the session I was hooked I wasnt told I had to buy a membership or anything like that just the session cost more if you were not a member so I got a membership for me and my husband. Honestly I love it I have no complaints and have recommended them to all my family, friends and co workers. The staff was friendly, professional and made us fill and still does as if we are always welcome. The only complaint I have is I cant take them home for daily massages lol.

Not very customer oriented,,,more money hungry. I called to make an appointment, it was last minute. I was told they had an opening. Great at least I thought, then I was asked if I was a guest or a member; not sure didnt know they were a club. Then the receptionist said oh your just a guest, I cant book that appointment for you unless you buy a membership. I was flabbergasted. If I bought a membership for one year of $59.95 a month then I could have the appointment which was in 15 minutes if I didnt buy then no appointment for me. They just left the slot open. Really, doesnt make much business sense at all nor is it a good customer service practice. Wow, just wow.
Very poor customer service. My Mom accidentally booked the wrong location being new to the area and they would accommodate nothing to help resolve the issue. Short uncaring responses and seemed to not value their customers at all. Will never go back.

The first time was asome work then when I scheduled hot stone massage, deep, or medium tissue never work. So my theory is they just do average msg so dont pay for specialized therapists and just trying to sell u stupid articles like scences or vibration or flex sessions. Place too cheap will cancel my membership.
We love massage envy and the services they provide, however as a front desk employee, try not to hang up on a member when you are unable to do something for them and they say, “Ok, thank you I appreciate it, thanks anyway.”

Staff is rude and condescending when you ask about pricing. I go there twice a year to get my wife gift cards and I always leave irritated.
The customer service up front from Laci was fantastic. She was very sweet and accommodating. Non pushy, a sense of humor, and empathetic. My gf and I came in for a couples massage with two credits gifted from a family member. We described our body needs, but emphasized that we do prefer full body relaxation over specific spots. While both masseuses, Ashland and Lori, were pleasant, the only focused on a few spots; yet it felt rushed somehow? My masseuse told me she would check in with me to move on to other body parts but rather only focused on my shoulders, some of my back; I spent time wishing other areas could be addressed. I should have been more assertive in my needs possibly? I have many knots so I didnt expect to have them all worked out so thats why I would have preferred overall relaxation. My gf had specific request for a neck knot and left without it being worked on much - if at all. She said her experience felt entirely rushed as if her masseuse was going through the motions.At the end of the day, the massages were a gift even if we left feeling underwhelmed. I think we may find another massage elsewhere as we are looking more for relaxation than a treatment plan. Not bad but not above average either.
