One of the best places to rent video and lighting gear. If they do not have it, they will do their hardest to find it and make sure you have it for your next production. The techs in the back are always helpful and find ways to accommodate you in any situation. Even when your shoot runs late and you have to return equipment, they will stay there later so you don’t get charge more for another day rental. I can’t say enough about these guys and their attention to detail as well as courteous and helpful every time I’m there. My one stop shop for all my video needs.

We have been renting from this company for a very loooong time. Recently we had a super bad experience while trying rent 2 light kits and some grip . We sent a quote by email, through their quoting form, called several times to check availability. Nobody there knows anything, technician never called back. A very rude employee takes the calls and never responded to any of our concerns. They simple tell you ( I dont know, I dont have that information, I am to busy now, Call later, etc, etc) A nightmarish experience while trying to rent 2 kits of light.

I have been using Budget Rentals since the mid 90’s. David Haylock and his team have always been great. I highly recommend them to both indie and commercial productions. I encourage all scale filmmakers to rent from them. Let’s not allow one bad experience to tarnish 30 plus years of excellence.On a side note, Budget Rentals was one of the few rental houses that does not require insurance in order to rent equipment. As a indie filmmaker that was huge in my early beginnings.

I was surprised to see the wide amount of items these people carry. They literally have everything you need to shoot a professional video in Miami. The company has been around for 45 years and they still have working film cameras from half a century ago, but they also have current, professional grade cameras that they rent. They also have an entire department with decks for old professional tape where they transform these into digital formats. The staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help. Delivery to site is available and they usually respond quick since theyre open 24/7. Highly recommend for when shooting video in Miami

Extremely rude and unprofessional, I approachable. Informative. I came 30 minutes drive and I called to get infirm and make sure they were available, once I get to the store “ rental” establishment a guy that was supposable there to work said, yes? You can look online, he was very unwelcoming and by the way everything looked like junk and old, smelled really bad like dust.

Such an amazing staff, spoke on the phone for a good 5-10 mins with the nice owner, and was delivered such amazing recommendations and customer service over the phone, decided to head over to the store and the nice young guy working there (didn’t catch his name) helped me for over an hour figure out a complicated in-depth problem I was having with my Gimbal, he worked very hard and helped me solve the unknown issue and as a result he helped me figure it out, also recommended and tested some amazing alternatives Gimbals for my specific camera which I was very happy with. I highly recommend this place for their amazing rentals of any camera gear, repair service, and their 5 star hands-on customer service! On a Sunday afternoon at 12pm Budget saved our production! Opened up the doors early to get us what we needed. If you’re ever in a bind, even if it says they’re closed CALL!! They will do everything they can to get you what you need. Also David is the man. He answered the phone, answered questions, and got us in and out of there efficiently.

Filming in Miami is not like filming in LA or NYC. Accessibility is not the norm here in the Tropical America. I have been using Budget Video Rental for over 4 years and they have been an amazing rental house. There is someone always there to answer your call, I have had so many last minute requests and emergencies on set and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate. Eve and Madeline are the best to work with, they always beat any other price and they do what ever they can to get you what you need. I highly recommend BVR to anyone in the industry.

A very poor experience overall. Here are the highlights, in case you dont want to read the whole review:–Extremely poor customer service–Equipment availability misrepresented on the website–Equipment in very poor shapeOnline, Budget Video Rentals looks great, and has a wide variety of equipment available. In reality, it is a hole in the wall. When we arrived, it took 5 minutes before anyone even showed up at the desk to help us. Then they told us they had tried to email a quote but never got a response (we hadnt received any email). It took no less than 45 minutes for them to gather up the 3 pieces of equipment we had requested (1 c-stand, 1 boom pole, and 1 shoulder mount).Then we were told that they didnt rent boom poles by themselves, even though the website showed several brands of poles available and didnt mention anything about them being rented only with a mic and shock mount. Because the only pole they had that they could rent by itself was not a very good one (no internal cable), we were forced to rent one with a mic, a $50/day jump in price.While the c-stand and shoulder mount were fine, the boom pole and mic were in terrible condition. Several of the knuckles on the pole were impossible to tighten all the way and made it very difficult to adjust length, and the internal cable seemed to be extremely bunched up, which meant I could never collapse the pole all the way and it occasionally caused static in the recording. The mic was so wrapped in tape and velcro that I couldnt even tell what kind it was, and the shock mount was the wrong size for it so the mic wobbled around in it. Luckily I had my own, as was the original plan when we tried to rent just the boom pole.Overall, our experience with Budget Video Rentals was the worst Ive ever encountered renting audio/production gear. Throughout the process, several employees were rude or completely ignored us; it literally felt as if they were trying their hardest to avoid making a sale.I cannot recommend enough that you avoid this place and find a different option for your production rental needs.

Budget Video Rentals has always been my go to company for all the hard to get production equipment. We film sporting events and even at short notice Eden and technical staff is ready to assist.They have bailed me out on several occasions and have good rental rates. I rented a piece of equipment that I thought would work for a weekend project. I was supposed to have the equipment for 4 days. I was hesitant when I saw how heavy akward the equipment was. Literally within 45 minutes of leaving the store with the equipment I realized this was not going to be the best piece of equipment for my project. I arrived back at the store and was honest and transparent with the staff. I did not even ask for a full refund just half... They refused to give me one dollar back. The employee went back in forth from a back office to send my requests to his boss I suppose. That person never greeted me or was understanding.At the end of the day we all know video equipment is expensive thats why we watch tutorials and read reviews on what should work for our projects. I did my homework but made a mistake. I strongly advise not visiting this hole-in-the-wall, keep your money and try somewhere else. Support businesses that are about giving the customer who is honest the right thing... And doing the right thing!

Poor poor poor - staff told me they had a specific item i was looking for when i called - I then emailed the list only to be sent a quote for something completely different not only that IT TOOK 4 HOURS TO GET THE QUOTE my entire day wasted waiting on this (believing i was getting what i was looking for) when i could of been looking for who else has it. Best part manager gets on the phone to make excuses when a simple sorry would of sufficed for wasting my time. Tip get staff that can A read and email and B know what inventory you carry when someone on the phone is asking.

The people are so very helpful and knowledgeable. They have everything for video production under one roof. Even edit suites for post production and a duplication facility!

I have such mixed feelings about this place. Theyve bailed me out on numerous occasions when I needed a quick rental. And the staff are usually friendly. But the owner insulted me very badly when I went in there tonight. I told him that the microphone I rented stopped working during my video shoot. He responded with personal insults. Told me I didnt know what I was doing and that I should buy better equipment. I dont think this is a very good way to do business and he should be ashamed of himself. If he doesnt want to be bothered by small-time freelancers like myself, he should instate a minimum order amount or something. Seems to me hes gouging the market since theres no other rental places around.

I must say, Budget Video is THE best. Their staff is super knowledgeable and I wouldnt rent anywhere else. Our company, Valholla Entertainment, has been renting from Budget for years. Its truly a 1 stop shop!

Need last minute gear, this is your go to!

They have good equipment and not bad prices, but they really need to evaluate their processes for equipment rental.Is a tedious procedure in which they get a lot of protection (which is understandable) but they don’t provide the customer with the same protection and fast attention. In order for me to rent just a wireless lavalier microphone it took me over an hour, filled up more paper work than when I bought my last car and they made a hold on my credit card of 1thousand dollars (let’s say that’s ok) but the problem is that when I returned the equipment they don’t check the equipment in front of you, they don’t give you a paper releasing you from liabilities saying that the gear is in good conditions and they don’t give you any proof of the refund on the credit card for the hold they made. To rent the microphone they almost background checked on me but after the return I walked out of there without any receipt or document protecting me for further and future charges of late returning or damaged equipment. Not fare at all and real bummer to do business like that, and that was only a microphone, can’t imagine with larger amounts of equipment.I’d be happy to come back and use their service again if the methods are more customer friendly

I went to rent 35mm lens thats $49 per day. They ask for a $500.00 deposit. Wow I have friends who did rentals at Budget Miami and they never had to make $500.00 deposit.
