My son has been attending Sylvan Learning Center for about a month. He has always struggled in school because of underlying learning issues. However, since he has started attending Sylvan, his level of confidence in learning has sky rocketed. He has gone from being on a kindergarten reading level to making and formulating sentences. They have really been able to make progress with him. I am grateful and thank you all for your hard work!!!!

My daughter feels welcomed by the teachers. She also likes how the teachers teach her and I feel that she has really been improving in her studies.

I saw so much improvement in my children’s schoolwork bc of Sylvan. David and the staff and teachers were very professional and helpful. They kept me informed on their progress and what they were currently working on.

My daughter was struggling with reading. After a month and a half of my daughter taking tutoring lessons she was reading above grade level. I am satisfied with their teachers and administration. They are truely the best.

I cannot thank Sylvan staff enough. The attention to details and the extra mile they go with my son and I observed other children is incredible. It is worth the spend to have the piece of mind knowing your children are getting top notch teaching. They are all As teachers and the director Jenifer takes out the time to walk the parent thru the process and keeps you well informed. I have been with other tutors but nothing beats this curriculum and program. Sylvan really is the very best.

I was very excited to put my son here. But it became a burden not only for my son but also for myself due to the bickering about tutoring and the amount of time spent commuting back and forth. Given the situation, I stopped the services.When I made the agreement I was told that whatever sessions my son missed, he was able to makeup within 30 days, but this suddenly changed once I informed them that I would discontinue services. All of a sudden, now it was a per month thing regardless if my son received the sessions or not. My son didnt even complete an entire month yet I was charged 2 months. I feel not only under-serviced but also ripped off.If you do decided to place your kid here, make sure you understand whats agreed, so they dont wind up switching things to their convenience.Honestly, for the price, youre better off hiring a private tutor who can help your child at the comfort of your home.

My daughter loves going to Sylvan. All the teacher are excellent! Jessica at the front desk is just amazing and always available to help. Great place!

Directors and staff are amazing! I feel very happy to have my daughter in such an awesome program! I see the progress that my daughter is making. My daughter is actually very excited about coming to her classes and that makes me very happy! The attention given by the directors and teachers are unique and very special! Definitely recommend!

One word can explain Sylvan Learning of West Kendall- EXTRAORDINARY!! For years, my son has had some difficulities with reading and self esteem. I tried everything from one-on-one tutoring to counseling and although in a positive goal oriented environment at home, nothing worked.I was always skeptical of Sylvan because each tutor has more than one child but boy was I WRONG! The more than one child concept actually worked better for my son because he realized he is not the only one with difficulties. Over the summer, my son has made significant strides and he is so much more confident and EXCITED to engage and learn. And now with school starting, the center is incorporating his school studies in the program which is awesome!The staff at Sylvan has changed my son 100%just by going the extra mile and not only tutoring him but showing him he is not alone and that they care. The programs are amazing, the two week meetings with the parent shows you their progress and most importantly the guidance to work as a team for a common goal is phenomenal. I can go on and on about how amazingly happy I am with them but in a nutshell all I can say is dont look for anything else- this center is the real deal! Words cannot describe how thankful that I am that I found them.

Be extremely careful when signing up with Sylvan Learning Center in Kendall. It could cost you a bundle if you need to cancel. The director Beatriz Bustos will bill your credit card immediately but if you need to cancel the refund could take weeks. On 1/23/2019, I signed up my grandson for 40 hours of tutoring. He only attended three sessions. On 1/31/2019, I requested a refund due to medical reasons. Finally, on 2/15/19, I got the refund for $1,818. from the $2,250. that my credit card was charged. After the refund was issued, I requested a detail breakdown and explanation :3 tutoring sessions that he attended at $58./hr = $174.00Administration Fee $150.00Registration and Material $50.00The last day of the cancellation of the program which he did not attend the tutoring session $58.00The Sub Total cost of cancellation and 3 tutoring sessions= $432.00Plus the Initial Evaluation - $49. Paid Separately on 1/22/2019TOTAL FINAL COST of 3 days of tutoring sessions, cancellation fees plus Initial evaluation $481.00. In summary, I wasted all these monies without any improvement in my grandson education. (Incredible)

I would like to express my gratitude to the staff at Sylvan in Kendall for the amazing job that they have done with our son. Their patience and dedication to my son has paid off in the end where he is ready for fourth grade. His teacher has complimented on how much improved he got at the end of 3rd grade. Parents, do not sign up for Sylvan. They promise to help your child but they dont. Do not get sucked into their false claims.

Excellent, but expensive program. My son benefited from the math and writing tutors. My only dislike is that the tutors could change from session to session.

I want to share my satisfaction and recommend with closed eyes the smooth running of the Sylvan Learning Center.I feel calm knowing that we have this center to trust the most important thing that is the future of our children ....My son in one summer was first grade at the level he needed to be, which is a third grade, thanks to them today he is where he has to be with more security and confidence in himself,we recommend it thanks.
