Krista Barth is absolutely amazing!Watching Krista work in meetings for my grandson is impressive! She communicates professionally and effectively with school personnel. Krista listens carefully to all sides, so she can, if needed, offer better solutions to the schools on how to deal with situations between teachers and her clients. Krista has worked in the school system for many years. This experience has given her knowledge on how to help our kids. She loves the work that she does and it shows in her results. Mrs. Barth did not disappoint ! I was a very nervous prior to the meeting because i had been dealing with the staff and the iep processes on my own and was met with dismissive and condescending attitudes and mistreatments. I doubted they would cooperate with her,but that all went away the moment Krista spoke with them. For the first time they treated my husband and I with some respect and cooperation. Krista is amazing!!! She is a talented, gifted, giving, incredibly smart woman. Several years ago she encouraged me to have my son tested by a clinical psychologist and carried me through the whole process. She assisted me in making the right choices and getting the help I needed, with an IEP at school and counseling services outside of school. Krista is nothing less than amazing at what she does! I was referred to Krista by a high school classmate and good friend. I have a 13 yr old son who was Dx with PDDNOS a mild form of autism. My son entered the 7th grade in an ESE setting. To this point my son had never been allowed to learn in regular classroom. The ese teacher quickly learned that the ese program was not the appropriate setting for my son, he was way too high functional.When I met Krista it took only 20 minutes to realize her advocacy skills and knowledge of the law was high. I had been very involved in previous IEP meetings and advocating for my sons rights to be placed in the least restrictive environment, for all previous grades. I myself was more knowledgeable than the average parent. I soon realized Krista knew much more than I did. I think we made an amazing team, Krista attended every IEP meeting with me, made sure the school was doing everything they were supposed to, providing the support my son needed to be successful in a regular classroom.It was agreed, by the IEP team that Alek would be placed in the inclusion program. This is was a huge jump! It would place my son in a regular classroom with typically developed children and a regular teacher, My son would receive support from an ese teacher periodically, case management services, and a behavioral plan in place to help teachers deal with my son. My son faced a second challenge, he was entering middle school, with 7 different teachers, a challenge for any student.My son completed and passed all courses in 7th grade, and has just begun the 8th grade.This is a dream come true for me as a parent, and without Krista this may have not been possible.My son and I both Thank you Krista from the bottom of our hearts, my son now has a brighter future.

After fighting the system for years trying to get my son an IEP with services and supports to address the impacts of his ADHD, I called Krista.
