I have been bringing my cars here for over 2 decades. They do good work and the prices are reasonable. After a repair or tune up, have never had to return because something was not done correctly. They have been very respectful and considerate of my time. I will continue to bring my car to them for service.

These guys are great!! I stumbled across their business on repairpal by accident and Im glad I did. Due to the fact that Im an avid DIY guy, I was a little reluctant at first but I took a chance. The entire experience could not have gone smoother. I spoke to Hugo about the issues I was experiencing and he recommended a few solutions that could solve them. I had to leave my car overnight because they needed to order a part, but I was back on the road in less than 24 hours. They suggested other services my car needed (i.e new battery, brakes) but at no time did I feel like they were trying to force more money out of me. Even when I went back to pick up the vehicle, the owner Carlos still suggested I get a new battery soon even it was from another location. That alone let me know they wanted to make sure my car was running as well as it could. Ill definitely be bringing my car back to these guys in the future. They were really professional and offered great service!!

It was my first time with my 2012 Mazda3s there. Im yet to make a long drive to test the changes but so far all is ok. I went there with an auto transmission error code and needing to replace a TCM (transmission control module).During the diagnostics and negotiation Hugo kept me informed of all that was happening and reply to all my messages quite promptly including sending me an estimate via email.As I thought some of the service prices were a little high for an old car in the verge of being replaced I decided which ones should be done and authorized them.As it is normal now, I had to wait for the TCM module to arrive but as soon as it was received the car was repaired. In the process of replacing the TCM it was found that I had a bad motor mount and a serpentine belt and Hugo called me to request my authorization and then proceed to replace them.Another positive point is that I requested Hugo to send me a copy of Mazda original invoice for the new TCM in what I was promptly replied with. They dont care to show where, when and how much they paid for the parts you requested. This shows transparency and respect for the customer.Im giving 5 stars because there are no decimals. A couple of things would made me give a 4.7 final review:a) One of the items I asked them to replace was the cars horn since it wasnt working. I asked them to replace for a two tone but was informed that this is something they dont do. It is a very easy and quick mod and I dont know why they do not perform this ( I wasnt requesting an air horn with compressors, etc. Just a common two tone Hella hornb) They charge me US 47.50 for check horn operation. This I really cant understand but to be fair I didnt see when I pick the car and I didnt complain. It might be an error, at least I hope. It does not make sense to me.c) Pricewise it seemed to me very close to the ones charged by a dealer. I would expect a little less but it is not unfair if the service is done correctly and you dont have to go back to the shop many times to redo some of the services. My experience with dealers is not that good and if the service holds on as it has till now the price would not import that much.As for now it was a good experience and I plan to return when needed. It was a clean, honest, well executed, plenty of communication and transparency. The small hiccups are less important and since there isnt a 4.7 Im going to a 5 star review.Im doing this review because I already have my share of issues with many other shops down here in Miami and JCC was a good breath of fresh air. I would not recommend this business to anybody. My husband took my car to Japanese car care to fix AC in my car. It didn’t produce cold air. They charged $200.00 for recharging A/C with Freon and dye for future leak. After that repair, the cold air came out only for 30 mins and then the warm air started coming out again. The problem was not fixed clearly. When my husband called the car shop back, they told him that they will not refund the money and in addition it will cost $1200.00 more to replace A/C compressor, since freon recharge didn’t help. We were disappointed and felt like they were just trying to get more money from us. I took my car to another car shop and they recharged A/C with Freon and dye for the future leak, the same thing what Japanese car care did with my car, but charged me only $80.00 and since then A/C is working perfectly fine. Definitely, if you take your car to Japanese car care, ensure you get another quote from any other shop. Otherwise, most probably you will pay double, and from my experience your car still won’t be fixed.

You take your car - SUV - or Truck to them and they will immediately tell you what you need to bring it back to perfect running condition. They are not pushy at all. I had a weird problem with my car... Extremely weird. My car would just turn off while driving out of nowhere! Especially when I would make hard left turns. It would reset everything in my car as if the battery died. But the only electrical thing in my car that would turn off is the radio. It would keep turning on and off and I lost control of the power button. Everything else stayed on. But the radio would just be a warning because right after it would turn off and on, the car would die. My radio stations would all reset as if I killed the battery. But the weird part was that all my preset stations returned a day later. I assumed the battery was bad, however I just bought a brand new battery only 5 months ago. I called lots of places and everyone told me that I would have to do an all day electrical diagnostic. Meaning they would check every part with electrical wiring or what not until they found the problem. I brought it in to Carlo. He was fully backed up with cars. So i just tried my best to explain the problem and he didnt understand my story. So instead of just brushing me off, he was nice and wanted to see for himself. He took 10 mins for a test drive and sure enough it was doing what I said it did. He was intrigued. And with the pop of the hood, he solved the problem! Amazing! Thanks Japanese Car Care!!!

Integrity and Honesty is there motto. Theres nothing like having someone you can count on, especially when it comes to car repair. I have 2 Hondas and trust these guys like if they were my family. Ive been going to them for over 15 years. I know they will not try to sell me anything I dont need. I love how they always are truthful to say how much more my brakes could last, even to last 1000 miles. They do this to save me money. I had, also a time where I didnt have enough money to pay for my wifes repairs and they let me pay the work off in three installment. No one does this. Thats why I let everyone know the importance of having good mechanic you can trust. I always say people to treasure in life besides your family and friends are a good doctor, a good lawyer and a good mechanic.

Forget the dealer!! Japanese Car Care is where you want to go for HONEST advise and mechanical work! Weve all heard the dealer horror stories before. Well it happened to me. I took my Honda to the dealer, and of course they told me my car was falling apart and needed a couple of thousand dollars worth of mechanical work to keep it running. Well, I decided to get a second opinion and took it to Japanese Car Care. Guess what?! After a thorough check and test drive by Carlos, the owner of the shop, he informed me that I just needed a couple of new tires and that was all! All the wobbling and rumbling was gone with a couple of new tires. But the best part of it all, is that Carlos refused to take any money from me. He saved me close to $2,000!!! I have been taking all my new cars (Hondas) to them since they have opened up. I have not had any bad work done to any of my cars. Its always original parts used and repair work is done excellently. I have no complaints about this company or the owners. Carlos and Denise always treat me (the customer) very well.

Very friendly and super helpful. Let me know of some issues outside if what I originally went in for, but werent pushy. They let me know they werent urgent, just to keep them in the back of my mind. Other repair shops I have been to are more forceful or will tell you things absolutely need to be replaced when they dont.

Who really does that anymore? Thats why I took my car back and got the tires and some engine work done on my old Honda.

We took our van here when our mechanic was on vacation because the air conditioning was not working. Carlos, the owner told us we needed a new radiator. Later that day he called us and told us that the fan was broken an also needed to be replaced. (The fan was fine when we brought the van in). A day later he told us to pick up the van. After charging us $753 (a job that should have been $500) the Air conditioning in the van still did not work. He then replied that he did not have time to look at it again to bring it back on Saturday. When we called to bring it in on Saturday he said he did not have time to call on Monday. On Monday our mechanic was back and upon inspecting the van showed us that the only issue was a faulty hose, which he changed and the air conditioning immediately began working. I then had two independent mechanics besides our own look at the radiator that Japanese car care removed from our van. All of the mechanics, with over 15 years of experience agreed that it did not need to be replaced. In addition, they told me that Carlos probably broke the fan when he removed our radiator because we would have heard a noise if it was broken prior to taking it to Japanese Car Care. I tried to get a refund from Carlos and his wife, Denise Nunez who is In my BNI group and they refused. I have since found two other customers who had similar experiences. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE AS THEY WILL NOT FIX YOUR CAR AND WILL RIP YOU OFF. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and taking legal action as a matter of principle. I have NEVER given anyone a bad review but, after much thought, I felt it was not fair that someone else go through what we did for trusting Japanese Car Care.

I came today to Japanese Car Care as I have done for the past 11 years to get some repairs done on my current Toyota vehicle. Previously the team lead by Carlos Nuñez had been taking care of my Honda Accord.Today they repaired a leaking valve cover gasket, and changed spark plugs. A few weeks ago it was a cracked intake hose and electrical issues with the tail lights. Everything as always was repaired to my satisfaction.Over the years I have come to see and hear from other loyal customers whose experience with local dealers and shops was not to their satisfaction come to Japanese Car Care. Without hesitation I recommend Japanese Car Care.

I went to Japanese Car Mechanic because my car had a weird noise. They recommended to change different parts. They changed a time belt even-though I had changed the time belt 2 months ago, they said its because the brand was not Honda. They are not honest people. Another thing they did was, without my authorization, they changed my tag frame and put a Japanese Car Care frame advertisement. I dont recommend this place they are not honest and very expensive. They are HUNGRY for easy money !!!

This place is amazing! The name is misleading, because you might think they only work on Japanese cars. I have a Volvo and if anyone knows anything about Volvos, theyre difficult cars to service. They have never had an issue working on my car, it runs great and has over 100,000 miles. The great thing about this place is every time Ive ever had to have a part replaced the guy shows me the part and tells me why it needed to be replaced. Japanese Car Care is family-owned and you will see the Father and the Son working on the cars as customers walk by the bay. I love going there because they make you feel like part of the family, and I know theyre doing excellent work on my car.

Starting taking my 97 Jeep Wrangler when I first bought it. When I bought the vehicle, I had a couple of problems with it. I heard of JCC and decided to give them a try. Automatically they knew what was wrong with my car. I had to change my radiator which was causing my car to overheat. Also I had to change my tie rods as well and other pieces that needed to be fixed. They were honest with me by telling me which parts I needed to change as soon as possible and other parts that werent of a concern at the moment. I ended up getting good a great compared to other shops that tell me I need to change parts that dont really need to be touched. Great guys too. They even offered me some pizza when they ordered some for lunch the last time I took my car. Haha. They also answer any questions that I have about my car which is a plus since it helps me learn more about it. Honestly, I wouldnt take my car anywhere else. Its hard to find professional and honest mechanics around here. Its always good to support family owned business too.

I have been taking my cars to Japanese Car Care for over 10 years and wouldnt consider going anywhere else. Todays experience is revealing. I had ripped off my rear bumper (long story) and brought the car and the bumper in. Given the horrible appearance of my Accord, I expected a fairly serious bill. But they took it in the garage, quickly knocked the bumper back in, and refused payment. Add to this that they dont normally do body work and you can see the level of their courtesy. Miami can be a pretty cutthroat town, and the experience was refreshing, to say the least. Today was unusual, but a more everyday experience at Japanese Car Care is total honesty, fair prices, and full competence.

I have been a customer for 25 years, I have always been treated fairly, when I began to use them, I checked things out with others, and found Japanese Car Care to be reasonably price, they use Honda parts and they kept my old Honda cars running perfectly. Also, I found that those others always had something else to fix, that Japanese Car care never told me I needed, as the car ran so well, I have to believe that those other shops were dishonest. As distrustful as I am, I am now a convinced customer of Japanese Car Care. I recommend them, I love them, and would not take my car anywhere else. PS, the same family for all these years have owned this shop!

Very dissatisfied with Japanese Car Care. I would avoid this place. They will quote you on most the most expensive option to fix a particular issue without promising you that it actually will resolve the problem. Then, they charge you a $79 check out fee. If you are going to charge a check out fee shouldnt you take the time to figure out what the problem is? I know its more profitable for the garage to select the most expensive solution, but thats not always the best option.There are many mechanics in Miami. Avoid this one and opt for someone who can stand behind their assessments as well as their work.

Japanese Car Care is the only mechanic shop I will take my Honda Civic.

Ive been going to Japanese Car Care since 2006. I currently have five vehicles in my family (three Toyotas, a Honda, and an Acura) the newest of which is a 2002 so I probably use them more than most. I count on Carlos and his team to maintain them all. Ive found their prices to be reasonable (much less than the dealer) and the quality of their work to be excellent. But more important is their integrity and honesty. They stand behind everything they do. I even bought a car from another customer and high on the list of reasons I purchased it was it had been maintained at Japanese Car Care since new.

Called for price on 2012 civic for 105k service . Was quoted 349.00 including spark plugs. called back and said how much only for plugs and was told Plugs not included in original price. Wow do they really do all they say. Beware. Calling BBB as we speak.

Dont waste your time and money with Japanese Car Care. You risk your car getting destroyed and more importantly your safety with this place.This place was supposed to replace my timing belt. They told me I have to change the water pump, alternator belt, and power steering belt as well. The alternator belt they put in was designed for another car, not a Honda Civic. It was too big and messed up some of the power in the car. Then I found a large puddle about the size of my car ***thats alot of liquid!*** showed up under my car a week or so later. Then I find out later they did something with the water pump too which could have seriously messed up my engine.I had a Honda dealership take out the water pump and found it was a used water pump with the seal falling off. After contacting Denise (business owner) before multiple times, she swore up and down they used all brand new Honda OEM parts. Then I told them I went to another mechanic and took pictures of them taking out the parts Japanese Car Care had put in my car.Throughout the process in dealing with Japanese Car Care, specifically Carlos and Denise (business owners), have been rude and unprofessional. They only worry about covering up when they get caught instead of being accountable. They have tried to retaliate with fake reviews and websites with my personal information and other made up information.These people only care about themselves and could care less what happens to you and what they did to your car after they take your money.

The A/C of my car stopped working and I went to JCC for service. Owner Carlos was at the front desk, he was extremely helpful and answered all my questions patiently. It turned out my A/C had too much freon. Carlos provided an honest assessment of the problem and did not attempt to up-sale like some other mechanics would. 20 minutes later I am on my way with cold air. I couldnt have been happier with JCCs service. Will be back again for all my future car repair/service needs. Went to this place to get my car diagnosed for a misfire. Ended up being the spark plugs and wires, was told the diagnosis would be $98 and that price would be discounted from the labor so I went with it. When I picked up my car I ended up with a $280 bill for authentic spark plugs and wires which I found on Amazon for $65. Total ripoff for a job that takes minutes in for a an older civic.

This guys are top notch mechanics and are the best in South Florida.

When I got there at 8:00am it look like they needed another 30 min to get ready, they open 8:05 am. I ask for an alignment and was not posible because the guy was not there, I got only 1 mechanic, the unhappy guy at the counter said. My idea was to get an alignment and have them look at my engine mounts for a possible replacement but after this bad start, Im taking my business somewhere else... what a waste of time.
