Positive: I had a 4th floor room overlooking the pool. Room and public spaces were clean. The first lol and grilling area were nicely maintained. Room had everything as expected for a two nice stay. Parking was easy. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Negative: TV is rather small and dated and some channels are analog. But it worked just fine for my needs.

Enjoyed my stay here! absolutely no complaints. It was a last minute stay for one night. Check in went smoothly and the holding fee for amenities was very affordable. Nice customer service, clean and very nice house keeping while walking through the hallway. Security is on site however it was extremely quiet and not much going on! I took advantage of the gym, pool and laundry mat which was extremely convenient. They do offer breakfast however I did not take advantage as it’s not complimentary which is okay due to all of the other amenities. They do offer complimentary laundry detergent although I had my own that was nice to know 😊. The room was a perfect size and the bed was very comfortable! Overall vibe and affordable hotel! I would stay again.

Positive: The hotel was clean. I was able to get housekeeping at my own request when I wanted. Overall face to face interactions with staff was good. Negative: The pool has a common area that people are allowed to use 24/7. I was woken up every night of my 5 night stay to other guests using the common area as a smoking and party area. Staff didnt help. Wouldnt stay again.

This property has changed and is much different than when it was the Marriott. After parking our car a man approached and asked if my husband wanted to buy marijuana. We were there 3 nights and the police were there 2 nights arresting people. The rooms were ok, I did notice food stains on the couch and the curtains. All of the staff were nice. I have been staying at this location for over 20 years but will not be back due to police activity and all of the dogs.

There is no sign stating what the name of the hotel is on building.TV didn’t work so I had to call maintenance.My key stopped working 3 times in the 5 days I was there. I had to walk all the way to lobby from back of building each time.Floor felt soggy and carpet near bathroom smelled sour.Toilet wouldn’t flush unless you held handle down for a long time.I was expected to put trash can bags myself in waste basket.I woke up with 3 bites on my side. Office staff said because I was on first floor bugs get in sometimes. I left with 6 bed bug bites on my body.Don’t stay here!

Room was clean is the only plus. pool doesn’t stay open long and don’t have microwave. They say you get one upon request but they honestly don’t have any smh. You’re better off staying somewhere else.

This place was great. My room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. They held my bags for me since I arrived before check-in time and then I could go wander around the city all day. Their gym was perfect for my needs and had modern equipment. Definitely a good find!

Highly recommend this hotel! Very clean. Very accommodating, especially for my toddler they had a comfy and roomy play pen where he can rest every night! Prices were not outrages, and we were able to use to the lobby microwave. Had some good snacks, and definitely plenty of water. I will definitely be coming to this hotel when I travel to that area.

I was on ground floor, view was car parking area, hotel is nice, have a pool. TV is small for room size and nothing special from the channels for entertaining in the evenings/days staying in the room.Food was in general fine and fresh.Room cleaners are amazing.Reception people was heavy to be on service with the informations that I needed about the reasons why I am at the hotel. And lack of interest and the understanding to provide anything they were asked about the same, mentioned above.Taxi driver had big difficult to find hotel entrance because it was only from one (1) side of the approached road visible and seen, by me, where is the hotel and the name if the same hotel.Overall four (4) stars only because oh the cleaning staff.Without them three (3) ⭐⭐⭐

I just know that I will never stay at this hotel ever again. Upon checking in I was informed that the room that I reserved is no longer available, because they gave it away. This is the first time that I ever experienced this. The fact that the room I reserved was given away, the receptionist that checked me in was not so sympathetic her excuse was when I am not here seems like things go out of order. She provided me with another room which was not bigger than what I requested as well it was one Bed. I wasnt satisfied because I had other people with me we didnt want to share a bed. The only positive thing I can say is my room was clean spotless to be honest as well the bathroom. Now I was informed that you cannot Smoke on the property but I kept smelling weed and cigarettes throughout the whole weekend. I think they need to enforce that rule a little bit more. My first night my door kept being pulled on throughout the night its like somebody kept trying to get in the room it was irritating that I have to put the safety lock behind it because I did not know who was doing this and I was not about to go out to find out. Next day the guest across from my room informed me she was the one at the door. she said oh Im sorry they gave me the wrong room so apparently the receptionist gave her the same room number as me. She figured that her room was actually a cross from my room after do many failed attempt on mines. All i want to say is this Hotel is a work in progress. Overall Its an okay Hotel not much to say if youre like me and you have high standards when it comes to your hotel experience This place is not it, Go somewhere else

If you like peace and quiet, this is the place to book. Staff doesnt bother at checkout time and the rooms are neat and clean other than most hotels. Completely satisfying!

The Sonesta Select is a very nice and quiet area. Nice pool and very clean. The only problem is when I went to bed in the hotel room and woke up the next morning I had red bites all over my body, I guessing it was bed bugs . Highly disappointed because I thought everything was clean but really it wasn’t.

There was not a microwave and the refrigerator was smaller than the standard and it also didnt work well. I loved the room otherwise and it was cleaned and sanitized well

The stay was pleasant. It took me a few days to just adjusted but I finally was able to sleep through the night. However, I was disappointed that there wasnt a microwave in our room. I had to walk all the way to the front lobby area to use the microwave to heat my leftovers. That would be my only criticism of the hotel. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and will be back in the future. Thank you so much.

Hotel was a bit overpriced...it was memorial day...i remember this hotel back in the days it was Marriot courtyard and the building is still in good shape ...the rooms was super clean and carpets was cleaned as well...the area miami lakes is still the same and beautiful its grown alot...this one is way better than stadium hotel....Sonesta Miami lakes is my new spot and the bed was so damn comfortable i didnt wanna leave..lol

This was the 2nd hotel I stayed in during my visit to the area. This hotel was by far much better than the 1st one. The only problem I had was hair on one if the wash cloths but I made the front desk clerk aware and she was very apologetic and replaced the towel.

Fast check in however room not fully cleaned which is always an issue but specially during COVID. HAir in sick and towel, sick not fully cleaned, dust, and mirror looks like hand prints or makeup left on it .I did sanitize myself so I would feel comfortable. Also, large spring break crowd noisy all night long. Checked out early.

With her attitude she can not work in hospitality business. The day before breakfast stuff was amazing as the rest of the hotel stuff. I loved this hotel. Its location is great : within walking distance to the Miami Lakes /Shula area. Within 5 minutes walk, from a nice strip mall next door. Quiet room. Easy access to Highways, and lots of Uber and Lyft cars in the area.

Checkin was a breeze and friendly. VERY Clean room. Asked for the top floor and got it. Hand sani by the elevators was good news. Masks are required while walking about in the hotel so that was a plus. The pool was closed due to covid. I had a nice stay.

I got stuck in Ft Lauderdale because of Spirit and they stuck me in this hotel, which is nowhere near the airport. Got there late at night and when I walked into my room there was a giant cockroach in my room. I ran back to the front desk and they tried telling me there were no more rooms but eventually found one. It was gross, don’t stay here.

Cant go wrong with this hotel. Very high standard of rooms. Quiet even when close to airport. Stayed during COVID so breakfast was just having bagels and cereal take aways, as well as coffee. Good to see a good attempt for breakfast. Looking forward to staying here again.

We stay at this hotel every time we are down in Miami on business. Emily is always very professional and extremely helpful when it comes to making sure all of our stays are out of this world! She is very pleasant and is always available to assist with any questions or concerns. Hotel is very clean, rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. Thanks to Emily and her treatment we keep coming back. She should be cloned!!

Maria at the front desk was amazing during the check-in process. I also interacted with Maria on several occasions during my stay and she was extremely professional. The housekeepers assigned to my floor were always eager to make sure that my family and I didnt need anything. Amazing new fitness room. Super clean pool.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. From the front of the house to the back of the house, everyone seemed to love their job and be happy to be employed there. We would love to go back and stay there again. Eateries abound in a strip mall adjacent to the hotel. I hope we can make it back again there someday. Left town before Hurricane Dorian, started bringing the rain and wind.

The rooms are very clean and customer service is excellent! Theyre on point and very accommodating. The pool area is very relaxing and the courtyard is perfect to meet with clients or just spend time with family. Im here mostly for work but they make sure it feels like leisure. The place is very safe for a solo traveler and the staff is great!

Despite its proximity to a large highway, the hotel is actually quiet. Remodeling so the gym was displaced. I wish they had free coffee in the a.m. The pool area was relaxing and beautifully landscaped. I didnt like the room configuration as it was awkward.

Caroline has been a wonderful help and very kind to me in assisting with my room change. She is a wonderful customer service agent. She has been very considerate and understanding. However The overnight worker who checked me in did have an attitude the entire time he had to make a room change for me. But overall its a nice hotel with nice morning workers and Im only placing 5 stars for Carolines excellency in communication and help.

Seems to be a standard Courtyard. Staff is super friendly and professional. The guests seemed to get a little wild during the weekend, but I had no major problems. Clean room with no issues! I also love when hotels are next to to gas stations. Makes it easy during travel! This place is near a gas station and shopping plaza.

Great hotel very clean

Rooms are clean and housekeeping does a good job. Breakfast is not free, very overpriced and the Bistro workers are rude. Laundry room requires quarters but desk doesnt give change, nor do they have a coin machine and the desk staff is also rude when asked if they give change. Our shower also drained so slowly that by the end of a brief shower the tub was practically full of water. We had to clean the tub out between uses.

Its your standard Courtyard. The rooms are the usual size perhaps, but felt a little small and dated. There is a bar/starbucks downstairs where you can buy drinks, coffee, breakfast. There is also a nice little courtyard to hang out on nice days. Smoking is allowed there, so beware. The elevators could be faster.Overall, service was good and location was perfect for my business trip. So this is the place I stay when I visit for work. Traffic to the near by office complex is more painful than it should be, but then again, I guess this is standard for Miami.

I love staying at the Marriott. The rooms are always clean. The staff was good. This one had an nice Bistro and mini bar.

This would be my last time staying here i requested a room with a balcony because I suffer from claustrophobic and they couldn’t accommodate it all depends who’s there when you check in this time the lady that checked us in was not willing to help out when we can clearly see that most rooms are stillEmpty it’s sad since we comeTo Miami every week we will be looking for a different hotel .

We came to watch our son play in the first ever St. Thomas University football game and our stay was great. Check in was fast and easy. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We plan on staying again when we come for the football games!!

Really nice hotel. The front desk lady was very friendly and gave a warm greeting and welcome package..the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the room didnt have a microwave. It was a bit of inconvenience to go down to the lobby to heat food up. Othet than that this place was great. Even the cleaning lady was nice unlike the ladt marriott I stayed at last week in Dania beach. Put a microwave in the room and this place is 5 stars all the way.

King room was clean, brightly coloured. Pool was extremely quiet midweek which was great! Bistro in the lobby was convenient and theres a decent plaza next door with a grocery store and a few solid restaurants. Travel tip: bring your own toiletries. The tea tree shampoo severely irritated my eyes and the conditioner left my hair dry.

Hotel is attended to nicely, in all areas. Staff are well trained and helpful. I noted no issues on my 2 day stay. My bed was great. The whole hotel was clean and my room was fine.This isnt new property, older, medium size and does book up fast in season or during events.

We had a lovely stay. We arrived and the staff was friendly and checked us in quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. After a long night walking downtown, my feet were killing me. I took a shower and the tub floor was so soothing on my tired feet. We would stay here again because it was close to our destination in Hialeah and the surrounding area was very nice. The server at breakfast was so kind and helpful very early in the morning. The room was so cold in the night because we could not figure out how to shut off the air, but the covers were so big and warm that we were comfortable enough. Love those pillows and sheets!

Stayed here for a 3 day, 2 night work trip. Hotel is very nice and close to a lot of places for dinner. Room is quiet, hotel overall is quiet, and is just a minute from what I assume is one of the major highways. Would definitely stay here again.
