I have been using the BBB for decades Thinking that the BBB will address the poor integrity that we often see with contractors in South Florida. I have learned that even the BBB lacks integrity because the fact is, their Fiduciary is to the BBB Accredited company that you are looking for, at times the e same company that has provided you a poor service. The BBB is a biased, partial resource whos fiduciary is to the BBBB Accredited company that pays the BBB membership fees.Have you ever found a BBB accredited company that has a poor grade, even a C Grade? Ever notice that BBB accredited companies are mostly A rated, even the ones who have had numerous complaints? But now check companies that arent BBB Accredited. The non accredited BBB companies are where you will find the poor grades. The only value the BBB offers is they have done research on Business Accredidation with FL Sunbiz Div of corporations and have provided the consumer with a little direction - which is why I give them a 2nd starThe BBB will never provide adverse information to the public that may hurt their accredited business customers that pays the salaries of the BBB. The BBB also doesnt always list the specific detailed complaints from the consumer. I know this becauSe I have submitted quite a few complaints with factual data and pictures and the BBB doesnt list the details.I use to think the BBB was the way to go to ensure you are hiring a company that has business ethics and values. But You are better off reading reviews from Yelp, Google, Angies list HA and many other sources where biased information is not part of the equation, where both sides of the complaint ARE left out in the open

I have had to use the better business bureau 3 times. Each time my issue was taken care of almost immediately. They reach out to the business that your having an issue with and the businesses have always reached out immediately and tried as best they could to take care of the issue. I wouldn’t hesitate each time to file a complaint with the BBB.
My experience at Metro ford was excellent from my very first contact online. I was able to work with Mr. Frank Ortiz and he was honest and kind working with me to find a vehicle and price that worked for me. I had the opportunity to meet the GM. Marks and he was such a nice and down to earth guy. The made sure my experience was great from start to finish. Ernesto helped with the finance paperwork and he was informative but never pushy. He aimed to educate and Inform which I really appreciated. We are loving our new truck and will refer friend and family to do the same by purchasing with. Metro Ford.

The BBB was swift and effective in facilitating a response from our cruise line which had not fully refunded our deposit or issued cruise credits as per their policy when we had to cancel 2 cruises due to Covid19. I had made several calls and written several letters without reply from the cruise line, but the BBB intervention resulted in a fast reply with the full refund and credits applied. Thank you, BBB!
I have used the BBB a couple of times with 100% success. It is very good to know there is someone out there willing to help and make your voice heard as a customer. I want to give a big thank you to Cinthya Lavin and the team at the Miami area BBB. I was offered a job through email that sounded too good to be true. I was skeptical from the start but at the same time hopeful that it was real. I am in the Chicago suburbs and this company is supposedly in Miami, so I reached out to the BBB in the area and Cinthya reached out to me. I supplied Cinthya with the documents that were sent to me and she investigated this and determined this to be a scam. This likely saved me from a lot of issues, had I proceeded with this.Thank you again Cinthya!Rick Hagedorn
This is a very effective option when it come to getting your money back from a business that is giving you the Run Around after they have advertised that their product has a guarantee and they do not want to give you a refund when you first ask them for it. Thanks to The Better Business Bureau, I got my $ 179 back after I filed a complaint at their web site.
I gotta say 3027 times thanks to BBB southeast Florida, they save me $3027 on a hospital bill. Before the surgery I called my insurance company and the hospital to find out the code and my deductible, the hospital told me that I got $109 deductible after they checked my insurance, but a month later after surgery they sent me a giant bill, I’d been fighting with them but they said that’s my responsibility for it. I got to pay that amount unless I provided my financial information .Thank God I heard BBB from my friend and I filed my case, they work so hard with high efficiency to help me, after they stepped in, couple weeks later the hospital waived my bill.BBB is super helpful. So I do really really really appreciate you guys in BBB Florida

This is the place to take problems with a retailer when they refuse to do the right thing.. BBB has always had a great reputation for helping consumers and a place to see reviews. I was seeking assistance with tracfone, came here, and the BBB got results. If the BBB gets involved, I think there will be action taken. Thanks very much for taking the time to help with this matter

These place is only set up to sell memberships and to protect those customers who pay. I filed a valid complaint about the horrible installation and service we received from Evergreen Homes of Florida and they removed the review bcs we had filed a complaint. I explained the complaint was for them and the review is for the public to be aware. They removed it and the complaint filed has gone no where even thought i have sent pictures, videos receipts and anything else that they have requested and nothing has been done. The BBB isnt what it was in the old days when integrity mattered. Now its just about the $$$$. Useless!!

The BBB is a great tool for people trying to commit fake and false law suits. I own a Small Business for the past 15 years. I have had on 4 occasions out of the 9K services annually we serve. That used the BBB as a tool to try to steal our services. We are honorable, Honest, and provide above board, old fashioned good serve with quality craftsmanship. If you look up our business Fleet Tire Truck and Auto Center you will see BBB advertises 2 complaints and grade us as a B? Both complaints are complete BS and we did respond to both of them, but BBB doesn’t display our response? Once a few years back the BBB did not respond to our response but kept asking us to respond. I literally drove 1 hour up to their office to get it corrected. A complete waste of my time but my reputation means more than anything to me. And they have the nerve to ask me to pay them to be a member. Google, Yelp, etc… have made them completely obsolete. They only serve a purpose to scammers at this point.
I had found myself in a situation were I was overcharged and getting no customer support from the company and someone recommended I tried the Better Business Bureau. Best decision I could have made! They were very prompt to respond and help be the bridge between myself and the company I had an issue with. They followed up with me throughout the entire process and helped me get a resolution that I thought would be impossible. I love Better Business Bureau (BBB) they actually take their time in assisting you with the businesses that you are having issues with. They keep you updated via email each step of progress being made in helping you address your concerns. In my experience, majority of the time the companies will properly address your concerns once BBB steps in, I have been successful thus far when using them.. I always use them whenever I have an issue with any unprofessional business, which are many out there. As customers we have the right to be treated fairly because we are patronizing the business to begin with. Our money spends just as any other individual who does get treated fairly.
BBB was extremely helpful to allow me to settle a business dispute. I was able to make public the unfair way in which I was being treated by a business. I think that public visibility and the fact that the BBB was observing both parties helped me. I am very grateful for the fact that BBB exists.

You say me and my company are unreachable but you send 1 million letters and no calls.. But thats fine, we responded to the FIRST LETTER at the beginning of the month and you send a bunch more warnings even though we responded via your website at BBB a very long time ago... But it doesnt stop there, its a joke how you guys supposedly say you cant reach us, but when we call you its Voicemail every time.. Stop this madness and i wish this review carried the same weight as yours did on my company ......
Hollywood Tires is a great Full Service Auto Mechanic Shop in South Florida. The Service is well above great and the price is fair. I have taken more than one car for mechanic service and I have been please on all results. They take the extra time to explain what was wrong with my car and what I may need in the future to prevent long term expensive repair. For me and my partner, Diana, this makes us feel secure in a mechanic we trust to complete our car repair.This Mechanic Shop is located in Hollywood on 2922 Johnson Street.
You all know how difficult it is to deal with phone issues. The service clerks have their script and they can not go off it. Five attempts to correct a situation, always with the same result. We are right, you are wrong! Well one email to the Better Business Bureau and my problem was solved and Tracfon was forced to properly post the talk and text minutes they owed to me. It was less then a hundred dollars but I could not let it go in their favor. Thank You BBB.

This company don t verify the reviews ( like really not) and, most incredible part, you cant submit a review about BBB on the BBB website itself! So, you can pay a « verified reviews » company that don t use their own company for themselves... how that can look serious. Do what I say not what i do.
I have had two very positive experiences with the BBB, they are wonderful at solving complaints we cannot.My first one was with Verizon my new phone just died . I contacted them I was told nothing could be done. I Contacted the BBB . I received a new phone within a week. My second experience was with Florida Power and Light . In error I paid a double bill which I could not afford getting Social security. I called FPL several times . I was told to call my bank and stop the payment, I did, at that time I was not told that stopping that payment it would be considered a returned check and I would not be able to pay online for 12 months. This was horrible for me, disabled and on a fixed income I would have to pay every month $3.00 Western Union.I contacted The BBB problem solved I am now able to pay online again. Thank you all for the great work you do for all consumers Everyone should know about the great work you do!
I have struggled with roof leaks before, but this is the first time the roofer didnt respond to my request for help. It wasnt until many months later when I realized the roof was still under warranty and the roofer still was blowing me off that I contacted the BBB thinking I had nothing to loose. WOW! One day after receiving my complaint, the roofer fixed my roof and I am so happy to have a dry house.
Roche Roofing does not honor their warranties. Roche installed our residential roof in 2011. We received a 10 year warranty that is still in effect. On January 24, 2018, I called Roche informing them that we have a leak that needs their attention. I have called their office more than 10 times. The office manager told me they very busy with commercial accounts and he promised Orlando, the owner, would call. I actually met Orlando on one of his job sites. He promised to stop by to about the damage, but now more than 3 months after my first call, we are still waiting. Roche Roofing came on Monday April 30, 2018 and did a functional repair.
I find the Better Business Bureau a very useful source of help whenever I have a customer service issue. My last issue with Werner Kahn Studio was helped when the BBB intervened as has happened before when I have used them. I think they have very good quality standards and they are trying to raise the bar for businesses, which is very much needed. I will definitely use them again in future.

I recently filed a complaint with BBB and received an immediate response. The very next day, the company I filed my complaint against called. They were not returning calls all week until I filed my complaint. Turns out they refunded our money for the service they provided which was not done properly. I then did a search on BBB for a roofing company which had recently installed a new roof. A bit after the fact as we have had to call 5 times for leaks since our new roof Oct., 2016. I found that someone had filed a complaint nearly identical to ours against the same company. Dont just read google reviews. I highly recommend using BBB and searching any company before choosing to got with them.
I had an issue of money reimbursement and contacted BBB, first time in my 35 years of living in this country. Within 2 weeks, things were resolved. I salute to BBB for addressing the issue in timely manner and I was reimbursed by Autonation company. I am also thankful to Autonation for cooperating with BBB. I wish we have more organizations like BBB.
I have filed several complaints through the BBB. The good news is that businesses notice and care and they response. The bad news is that the BBB is powerless to enforce anything to make businesses follow the law or do things right. Further, some times they counter your claim. In one recent situation I filed a claim as well as gave a business a bad review and as a result the nullified my complaint. Why? Anyway, one has to be careful and it can be a double edge sword.
I almost gave up on my dishwasher Brands mart and the warranty company had me on a merry-go-round! It was not until i flew to South Carolina and visited my cousin who shared with me how the BBB helped her with her issue with Lowes and her backyard fence. She explained how amazing the BBB was.. still a little skeptical I decided to give it a try. When I got home I went to the BBB website and filled out the forms and I THANK GOD I DID ! When Brands mart called me I thought it was a joke! I could not believe how friendly and nice they were. They picked up the dishwasher and fixed it . Thank you BBB!!!!!

I couldnt be happier with the way things were handled, and of the outcome. I had a problem with a well-known prepaid cell phone company. One day all my minutes simply vanished and the cell phone company said there was nothing that they could do to reinstate my minutes. I sent my complaint to the BBB and like magic someone at the cell phone company bothered to lift a finger and investigate what happened. Within a week they had reinstated all the minutes that had disappeared from my account. If the BBB had not gotten involved I would have simply been cheated by this company but fortunately I had the BBB on my side. Thank you again for everything.

They are absolutely wonderful in helping businesses. I had a problem with another business that was not responding to us despite many phone calls and emails. I tried getting the State to help, but it wasnt under their jurisdiction. Just when I thought all hope was lost, I filed a complaint with the BBB. Right away, the other business responded and we were able to solve everything. The BBB made this happen. They help make justice. We are extremely grateful.

My business receives a call once or twice a year to pay for an A+ rating from BBB. My family business, which I own has two complaints that appear three times when you Google search us. The first three searches!? Weird, how a website we pay for doesnt even appear first.Three separate disgruntled homeowners because of our buyers walking away. There is nothing positive about this business that helps you unless you pay them yearly. Very dishonest way to run a business.When has someone taken the time to give anyone a nice rating. People on my go online to complain on better business bureau. Better business bureau should improve and not just let anyone comment on local businesses.You can have terrible reviews and pay them for an A+ rating. Also, why can I not comment about the better business bureau on their own website. They are always a business correct.Rod,I appreciate your time for your commenting back but really doesnt get to the point of our three separate links on search engines from BBB. All on one page. (Not just one web link like ordinary websites).Just last week our customer specifically cancelled an inspection because of these comments on BBB.I am the owner of A1A Home Inspections and you are talking money out of my pocket. Why bother calling us every year?If someone doesnt like my report thats fine, but for my customers to think the reviews on BBB make me NOT qualified for the job (thats plain rediculous). We have never had a claim or issue during over 5,643 inspections I have performed in 8 years and priorly my father completed a record 12,255 inspections all under A1A Home Inspections.I specifically feel cornered into paying better business bureau, just so my customers feel comfortable? Thats wrong.Again, search engine brings up three separate BBB website links tied directly into search for A1A Home Inspections.(My family owned and operated business has only a Google business website. Just search us and you will find what my clients, realtors, friends, family, and all see)Thank you BBB for three web links.Comments, ratings, and reviews should be backed and researched by Better Business Bureau. Should be your employees and accredited adults making these comments.Better yet! Proof with documentation and photos would be excellent to ask from each person.Also, here is an example of exactly one of our business comments from a disgruntled family friend.I did an inspection for this family friend. I told them they had Subterranean termites from the downstairs all the way into the attic. I said run and Do Not Buy the property.Three years later, I am doing an inspection for a nice young lady and its at his property which I told him Not To Buy.I told this young lady Do Not Buy and she walked on the contract.Now, thats one of our reviews on your BBB from him being disgruntled.Thank you for your time but Im speaking for many businesses. I would recommend adding a review section for BBB on your website. As before, you are a business and should also have a way to be reviewed for these types of issues.

I had issues with a vendor who refused to honor a coupon they sold through Groupon. The BBB intervened after I submitted my complaint and the vendor quickly responded. The BBB was effective in resolving my issue. I highly recommend using them if you encounter problems in the future.

I called and couldnt get through to someone. I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME.The server at Flaningans threw away jewelry piece that was in a napkin. We werent finished food and she didnt ask us to remove anything from our table. We didnt get up either from our table. its worth 500.00 I have the bill of sale. I feel like they robbed us. We told them to check the cameras that we werent lying cause we found the other piece and they were together!! Nothing at that flaningans made sense. To me their employees stole it ! and then a month later they denied us a refund for their employees mistake. when they told us that they would refund us back. because the employee knew she messed up!!UPDATE !09/14/2018THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING BACK AND I WILL MAKE SURE WE FILE A POLICE REPORT.

I contacted the owner and he told me to get a quote to repair the damages. I got a quote from Ford for the repairs and cost of a rental car. In about 2 1/2 weeks after giving Mr. Cora the quote, we got together and he not only did he give me the amount of the quote but he DOUBLED the rental car amount in case i had any other extra expenses. I was shocked, what a great way to take care of a business problem. I can only imagine how he takes care of his customers.
We recently filed a complaint with the BBB regarding an issue with a company that would not honor a cruise that we had paid for to upgrade. The BBB contacted the businesses involved and everything was taken care of by those companies. We were contacted by each of them and were given an extension to book our cruise. Thank you very much, BBB.
I had an issue with an apartment that I rented. I felt money was being unfairly taken from my security deposit. After I tried (and failed) to discuss my issue directly with the apartment management company, BBB was able to open a dialogue and quickly resolve the issue. Final result, the management company refunded me the money.
BBB of Miami helped me resolve an issue with USave Car and Truck Rental near the airport. Rented car with a $250 deposit over a month ago! The deposit was not returned. After calling more than three times and being extremely frustrated, I decided to file a complaint with the BBB in Miami Florida. They were able to get an response and resolve my problem within a few days. They finally returned the deposit.

BBB is something companies count on for reviews and their future customers look at when considering doing business with them. I have used BBB several times to bring attention to companies that refuse to see Im a person not a number. I would use them every time I have a problem with a company. They seem to get the owners attention a lot better than writing a review or negotiating with stubborn employees.
They find out who is accountable & responsible regarding your dispute & do their best to resolve the issue, also furnish other agencies that might be able to help your cause, they have helped me more than once

I am doing a debt consolidation with them and I dont hesitate to recommend them.Mr. Damon Griffin, my client representative has been most attentiveand is always available to answer my questions and keep me informed about the process, I never had to talk to any recording machine and Mr. Griffin always answer my calls and emails promptly, sometimes within minutes.. I know this process is complex and long. However, DMB has been very professional in handling everything.

The BBB is the biggest scam of them all. I bought a car from a car dealership that was given an A+ Rating. No complaints on file. What a misrepresentation!! After getting ripped off at the car dealership, I filed a complaint with the BBB. They did not assist in anyway, and have not made any record of my complaint, and still rates this business an A+. This in spite of the internet being swamped with complaints about this dealership. Obviously, they are a paid member of the BBB. If this so called consumer advocacy group gives a company an A+ it is fake.

I had all the proper documentation which was key along with the help of the BBB who backed me up and the problem was resolved to my satisfaction.

Marked a customer complaint as failed to make a good faith effort to resolve it even though lengthy explanation was sent, having proof to backup everything. Unfair that it seems that the only resolution expected by BBB is taking a major loss.

I filed a complaint against SERVICE AMERICAN TRUCKING COMPANY to bbb that that company did not pay me as a driver and to warn other drivers against working for service American but bbb didnt respond or post my complaint.
The BBB listens to the clients of businesses, and without any mediation, simply put down a grade for that business. We had a very irrate customer who we later settled our issues with, but she never called the BBB back to explain this. Now we have an F for no reason at all.
They weren’t helpful and would not respond to repeated requests to understand how they arrived at their conclusion about the complaint.
Issues hard to resolve directly with businesses become easy all of a sudden when BBB gets involved.
