Perfect place to be if you want to be across from the beach. The room was perfect
Had an airbnb in this place. Didnt have air the whole three days in 90 degree heat. And we have bed bug bites from one of the beds. Its super loud at night so be prepared. The pool upstairs was a whole vibe but not having air made it hard to enjoy.
4 stars for staff, Perfect location across from the beach, and room size. Although we didn’t care about the noise from the club next door and the action on ocean drive. If you don’t like noise and want quiet...this is not the place to stay.3 stars for cleanliness of the room. I wish they would have done a deeper clean because you can tell the room is heavily occupied which makes sense because of location. You could tell it had been a while since that happen (I.e fresh paint). But! If it was cleaner it would have enhanced how nice the room looks and felt. However, It was good enough for the 4 days considering we weren’t in our room much. If had stayed any longer I would have started the deep clean myself!
BEAWARE OF MOLD!!! AND DIRTY FLOORS THEY USE SPRAYS TO COVER UP THE SMELL THE HOUSE KEEPER CART WAS SO DIRTY SHE CLEANING ROOMS WITH 1 bottle of PINE SAW N DIRTY WASH RAGS THAT U BATHE WITH PAY ATTENTION TO THE HALL WAYS LIGHTS FALLING OFF GLUES ON DOOR SIGNS I KEPT MY SHOES ON THE WHOLE TRIP AND SLEPT IN MY CAR THE BED WAS HARD N FILTHY COVERS, THE CLOSETS WAS A MESS N NASTY I WILL NEVER XOMW BACK TO MIAMI THE SMELL OF MY ROOM MADE ME SO SICK
Strand on Ocean Drive was highly recommended by previous guest. However, our stay was just the opposite. Front desk staff was extremely rude. Asked for towels the next day, would have thought I had asked for their first born. Was informed that we had to request for our room to be cleaned in advance, finally got a chance to request cleaning service was NEVER done. Plumbing was lousy, water closet did not flush properly. Phone did not work, the tv in the bedroom did not work properly. I will say the room was beautiful, however, for the money it was not worth it; will not be returning.
Part of me wishes I had read more google reviews instead of Expedia reviews before booking this place. To start on a positive note, the location could not be better for beach access and proximity to restaurants. It was nice being able to wake up and walk across the street to get to the beach each morning. The beach right across the way is stunning, clean, warm, and just a great all around place to be. We also really enjoyed a local 24/7 bar/restaurant, Sunnys which is only a block away.Unfortunately, with these pros come quite a few cons. The pictures were quite deceiving from the actual room. The room had the amenities we were hoping for like the fridge, microwave, and stove. There were a few bothersome things that came with that, like us only having a single fork in the entire room. The bathroom was rough to say the least. There were small curly hairs all over the floor, towel racks were broken, the top of the faucet fell off each time you turned on the sink, there wasnt any soap, and unfortunately every other clean towel that we unfolded had a hair or two in them. The bed had eyelashes and residue on the sheets, which made us concerned that the linens had not been changed before we arrived. The side table had been broken off the wall and left on the ground. There were just a few things that seemed like they could have easily addressed to make this a better experience. My wife also was relieved that we have been vaccinated, because it doesnt seem like covid sterilization had been done in any way shape or form. I do want to mention that the cleaning staff were really nice to us and brought/offered us fresh towels daily and took out our trash.Lastly, I feel it is important to share. This is not a place to stay at if you have children, or like going to bed early. It is located next to and above Palace. Palace seemed like a great place for people to have fun, but they have performances between 7:30pm and 11:30pm every night that cannot be slept thru. We usually found something to do outside of the room during that time because you cant hear anything else.We still had a great overall time in Miami, and like I mentioned, you cannot beat the location for beaches and bars. Seems like a fine place to stay if you are partying and need a few hours of sleep afterwards.
I don’t know what people are complaining about in the negative reviews. You’re paying to be on South Beach literally in all the action so you will have noise all around. The apartments are very nice, though they might not all be in one building but I thought it was cool to have access to different parts. The pool view was awesome, and apartment was very updated and had everything we needed. Would stay here again!
This was the worst decision I’ve ever made- and the biggest waste of money I’ve experienced. The room was dirty, the toilet didn’t work (and we were told there was no one available to fix it for an entire day). The supposed WiFi network did not exist at all. Neither television worked (actually, there was no remote). The drain in the shower didn’t work. No one from the front desk was willing to help us with any issues (we waited for 3 hours for someone to fix the toilet, to no avail). The hotel was advertised as “adults only” however there were children everywhere. We called our credit card company to help us figure out our situation and the front desk intentionally ignored them. Never stay here.
BEWARE: THEIR WEBSITE IS MISLEADING, THERE IS A LOUD NIGHTCLUB ON THE GROUND FLOORThere is a nightclub on the ground floor of this property that has loud music going all day and night. There is no clear information about this anywhere on their website. I arrived to the property on Saturday evening 12/26 with my 14 year old daughter and was shocked to find this to be the case.Again, no where on their website do they tell you this, nor did anyone I actually spoke with both before and after I made my reservation tell me this, and this is despite me telling them that I was traveling with my14 year old daughter. The management tried to say after I requested a refund for my stay that this was an adults exclusive property but no where on the website does it say it is Adults exclusive or 21 and over only OR that it is a nightclub hotel and not recommended for families or for adults not wanting a loud nightclub environment as part of their stay.If youre wanting a loud nightclub experience as part of your stay, then this is the place for you, but if youre wanting what they falsely advertise, which appears to be a quite and serene property with ocean views, Im giving you warning that they are misleading the public with their website.I will also add that there was also a faint mold smell in the room, which we could detect when we went to check out the room to see if it might be quiet enough despite the loud nightclub downstairs. It was not quiet at all, and you could actually feel the loud bass music in the room. Yuck!Fortunately we found another beautiful and quiet property to stay at for our time there and I have disputed my charges with my credit card company as The Strands management would not issue me a refund and I did not accept their offer to stay in another one of their properties at a later date. Dishonesty in advertising is unacceptable when you are traveling to a place youre not familiar with and looking to get an accurate sense of a place based on the info they share on the website and the people you talk to on the phone.Im posting this review to help anyone from having the same bad experience I did with this dishonest company.Best to you! :)1.11.21I am responding here to the Guest Services Mangers reply to my review for the benefit of anyone reading this and considering staying here. I am not able to reply directly to their reply as Google reviews arent formatted that way.I have NOT accepted their offer to stay at another one of their properties. What they offered me was not helpful, desirable or appropriate considering the lack of honesty by both their website and individuals I both spoke to and emailed with prior to arriving.Again, I hope this review helps anyone considering staying here know clearly what they have waiting in store for them when they arrive. Ill also add that I hope it helps the owners and managers of this property improve their honesty in advertising the property and in communicating accurately with prospective guests to prevent situations like this from happening to anyone else.Cheers and beware! : )
This is not a hotel it’s an Airbnb. Service is very limited and you share the pool with bar below. Dishwasher did not work and the tv did not work. Police evacuated us from our room April 26th at 6am. We were kicked to the street and not allowed back in our room until 9:45am. We never found out why.
Good luck. When we booked this place we were excited because the location and it looks amazing. Not being familiar around this area we had no clue where to park so we called the number they have on their website and on google to ask were to park since they do not provide parking which is understandable due to the location. The first person I talked to told us to go to 4th street and valet would be next to a gelato store. I used the address they emailed us for the reservation and that took us to a location and the valet there said he has never herd of the place. So I called back and the person I spoke to reaffirmed I needed to go to 4th street so that’s where we went. The valet there told me to park in a $40 a day parking. So after parking there we couldn’t find the pace so I called again and explained where I was. They then told me I was at the wrong hotel after parking and needed to either walk 10 blocks or come to 11th street and see the valet. So we figured we would give it one last shot since we have already been looking for this place for over an hour eat this point. Then we finally make it to 11th street and get to the valet. We made it to the correct property. Only problem is valet says he can’t help us and to go park in a garage. So we go to the garage and it’s full. So after hours of driving and then getting to the destination and spending over an hour just trying to find the place so we can pack they won’t help us tat the valet or a garage we ended up throwing our money in the trash since they won’t refund us and had to find a different place to stay. Save yourself a ton of aggravation and money and look for a different place to stay. This place is a joke and has no idea how to run a business. As I started this review out. GOOD LUCK!!!
Absolutely not anything like they advertise. Overpowering air freshener to cover the stench. Bed about 12 off floor. Only 1 pool for the entire place which is 4 buildings.
Stayed at the strand a couple weeks ago for the weekend and it was AMAZING. Diego went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure the weekend was great! He was like our own personal tour guide. His dedication to the guests is unmatched. Thank you, Diego!! Im sure my friends and I will all be back soon.
Worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. Our toilet barely flushed, the room was colder than outside every night, and the staff was far from helpful.. 10/10 would never recommend this hotel. By far worst hotel experience in my life, save yourself the trouble and skip over this hotel.
The location is amazing couldn’t ask for better. The staff were friendly as well. The room was huge but that’s all. Smelly Mold on the vents, bedroom remote only works for powers on off, the lights were dangling out of the ceiling the room was pretty bad, not dirty just falling apart every where you look. The parking garage that told us to park in cost $70 for a 33 hour stay. With the parking cost added we could have stayed in a room without Mold etc. the little bar below us was Awesome.
At first, I didn’t understand how this worked as far as the help desk and etc because the people at the desk didn’t work for the hotel. So it was a little confusing but once I found out the staff was very timely. The elevator was extremely slow. I had a little problem wit my stove that was fixed quickly. The grand suite I had was lovely. I upgraded my previous selection because it had a bad leak but it was worth the extra money. I would definitely stay here again now that I have better understanding of how this group works. The street it’s on also made it worth it. I had a great time.
It is a beautiful hotel right by the water. It is next to lots of restaurants and fun thing to do. I loved my stay
Great location in the middle of art deco, room was pretty spacious but floors were dirty and hair on bed. Also next to the palace where there is a drag queen show 7 days a week til midnight so its pretty loud
I am very pleased with my stay at the Strand. I love being right next door to the Palace club, there is always something going on there and you are guaranteed to have fun. The burger I got at the Palace was one of the BEST burgers I have ever had in my life! Highlight recommend it. The only reason I did not give the Strand 5 stars is because the bathtub was a little dirty when we first got to the room and the elevator broke in our building, but really those were the only negatives. I love this place, especially the Versace view room. I had such a great experience this weekend.
Terrible customer service and the rooms had mold
My friends and I just checked in and we hate it. It smells like black mold and you see it all on the balcony mix and match furniture. Paid for a partial view of the ocean that is actually facing another building with absolutely no view of the ocean. My friend called to complain about the view she was told to lean over the balcony pass a partition and she can see the ocean. The water in the tub and shower is brown. The concierge if you want to call him that was rude. The mattress is cheap and you feel the springs in it. There was hair on the table and bed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s disgusting and not worth the money we spent on it. This place actually needs to be reported to the department of health for inspection. They would have to be paid off in order for it to pass. It’s horrible and smells awful.
The room was very clean and nice. In an excellent location on south beach. Can’t beat the price. Will definitely book again for next year!
Booked this hotel for 8 nights with 5 other girls for spring break. When we arrived to the hotel we went to the lobby to check in. The lobby was extremely small and we could barely fit in it with our luggage and other guests that were checking in. We were then given our room key and went up to our floor then noticed the key didn’t work and we went back down and they told us we were actually at their other property a few buildings down. We were then escorted to our hotel which didn’t even have a lobby. It was a door down and alley that went right to our elevator and stairs (anyone could walk into the “hotel” at any point) the lady that brought us to our hotel said to us, “The elevator barely works so I would suggest using the stairs” Which is just ridiculous. When we got to our room house keeping was still in there cleaning it and we had to stand and wait outside the room with all our luggage, even though it was past check in time. When we got in the room it was 77 degrees and we all immediately noticed how dirty and run down the place was. There were holes and marks on all of the walls and even the furniture had rips, stains, and burn marks. The shower head was covered in a disgusting substance that looked like a fungus. The sliding doors to the bathroom did not work. The faucet to the sink was only on half way and many other problems. To top it all off we were told that our room had 1 King bed and 2 queen sofa beds. The room only had one king bed and 2 futons. Futons that have rips in them and gross stains all over. That’s what they expected us to sleep on for the week. Disgusting. After noticing all of this I called the front desk they transferred me to many people that were supposed to “help” and all anyone did was talk in circles and had no clue what to say bc they obviously already knew that their “hotel” was disgusting. We got absolutely no help and the front desk became angry with us saying that we told them we were going to call the police, when no one ever mentioned anything about calling the police. We asked for a refund and were told there was nothing they could do! We then had to pay for 2 hotel rooms at another resort just so we didn’t have to stay there! Absolutely horrible, total scam, false advertisement, completely unprofessional, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.!!!
Booked on Expedia and we called an hour before our stay to see if we could have early check in here and they said we couldn’t stay there it was closed due to Miami regulations. Then they said we could rebook for another hotel at no extra cost. we last minute showed up to that hotel they offered and it was in a horrible location, the hotel was not nice itself the rooms were nice but very small. Tried to say it was an upgrade it was most definitely not. People were doing drugs downstairs and it did not feel safe there. We then last minute had to find a hotel to book, a nice one downtown. very disappointed. Should have never let us book this to begin with really ruined the trip.
This hotel caught me by surprise. The room was nicer than expected honestly. The balcony was a decent size equipped with a table and chairs. Im mad at myself for not taking any pictures. The tub was round and deep. It makes you want to take an actual sit down bath (but I didnt because Im a weirdo like that and didnt want to re-clean it again to do so). On the plus side you can have the bathroom sliding doors open with a view of the whole room. There was a king size bed, dining table with 4 chairs, 2 sofas, a regular size refrigerator, sink (with the works; pots, pans, plates, etc.), and counter top burners. Its right across the street from the beach and in the middle of all excitement. I would definitely come here again.
Great location with very helpful staff. I was able to check in early due to my flight arriving early. I was charged a small free of $10 to hold 5 suitcases after checkout, which gave me the opportunity to catch some much need sun prior to my return to cold PA. I will be returning.
Room was nice and clean I highly recommend Val she’s very helpful and understanding we will be back to stay
Too crowded, too loud, and cleanliness can be improved.
We spent our honeymoon there & it was awesome starting with the super friendly & helpful front desk. They catered to our every need. The cleaning staff was great! The location was the best on Ocean Dr. All you have to do is go outside & its a party everywhere all day & all night! Looking forward to returning soon.
Checked in on Friday 14th February and was given room R407. I went to a later dinner when I came back to the room there was a roach on the wall near the kitchen sink and one in the rubber seals of the refrigerator door. I went to the reception to reported and was told that I have to wait until the morning when my property manager arrived. After waiting until midday and speaking with the front desk for the second time I was told that they would offer a deep cleaning and that was it. I was given the contact information for the Superior who was conveniently off and no one was able to assist so my only option was to check out because there were no other rooms available. Photos have been uploaded as well. I will not stay at your property again especially after being told I had to pay for a stay at a hotel with roaches.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is loud with lots of hustle and bustle and night club on lower level. Seemed to be a safe area, Great walking distance to EVERYTHING!
Great room, location and accommodations. Definitely recommend!
I recently stayed at this hotel and was great location and room but I couldn’t get in contact with anyone at anytime and also they took a $250 deposit and it was never returned and the number they provided me with is out of service
Location was great but for the most part the staff couldnt be bothered to be helpful (with one exception). Room was very nice (with a strong chemical smell of some sort) but for the price was hoping for a much better experience. Also, definitely park at the parkade a few blocks away as you will save tons of money, but we had to find this out from the great bellhop as the dude at the front desk would rather play dumb and try to get us ripped off. Overall very meh and seemed like better options all around.
Had a wonderful stay at Strand on Ocean. The location cant be beat. You are dead in the middle of all the action on Ocean Drive. The Palace Bar below the hotel, is also a great to visit. Great drag shows and food. The Palace is also the main source for room service. We stayed in a Versace/Ocean view room. We thoroughly enjoyed the view. The room was well appointed and clean. The appliances were new. The bathroom was updated. All in all it was one of the better rooms weve stayed at in SoBe. Check-in was quick and efficient. We were early and they did their best to accommodate our early arrival. The bellman led us to our room. The property is split among a few buildings so it was a big help. Overall wed absolutely recommend the Strand on Ocean for anyone looking to stay in the middle of it all at a nice boutique hotel.
I booked the ocean front suite with balcony & it was amazing! The hotel is on Ocean Drive so youre right in the middle of everything! Clean, spacious, easy check-in & out, nice staff! It is loud on Ocean Dr. so this is not the hotel to book if youre trying to sleep lol I was celebrating my birthday so I wasnt bothered by the long party hours. The only thing negative I could think of is... The elevator was down in the main lobby which took you to the rooftop pool & bar had to climb 6 flights of stairs to get there...
Amazing location and decent room with limited amenities. Walking distance to the best clubs in south beach. May not get the beach view but the vibes are awesome..
WORST HOTEL IN MIAMI! Looks nothing like the images that they provide. I vacation in Miami every 3 months and I will NEVER stay at this hotel again and I will NEVER recommend it to anyone. My 3 friends and I stayed here on 8/23-8/27 and it was the worst stay I have ever experienced. When we got to our room around 8:30pm, the bed had the previous guests bedding on it, the pull out bed had holes in it that they covered with tape, a hole in the ceiling, cracks in the tile and sand all over the floor. I went to the front desk and they informed us that their was nothing they could do and gave me 3 numbers to call. I called every number and texted each number with pictures of the room. I did not receive a return call until 12am, it was the owner of the room and he told me I was a liar and if their were fresh towels in the bathroom then the room was cleaned, while on the phone with him his wife was in the back ground yelling that they were not giving us new bed items, finally after arguing for 30 minutes the owner said he would place new bedding in the room. We received new bedding but the room was never cleaned the whole time we were there so we never received new towels and had no toilet paper, I asked the front desk for toilet paper and once again they could not provide it, we saw a cleaning woman outside of our room and asked her for toilet paper and she said that she wasnt in charge of our room so she could not give us any. We ended up going to Walgreens and purchased toilet paper.
Location was incredible. Easy walking to beach, shopping, eating, and drinks. Room was very nice, private condo with kitchen, big living room, big restroom, and two TVs. I believe each room is owned and operated separately, our host allowed a 4 hour late check-out which was awesome! The negatives; the check-in clerk was awful, hallways had a distinct disinfectant smell, and the property was in need of some up keep. The bass from the class could be a problem if looking to go to bed before midnight. Basically, think spring break, this place would be perfect.
If I could rate this a ZERO, I absolutely would. First off, I want to mention that the location of this hotel was excellent, right off Ocean Drive and next to everything and all was walking distance. HOWEVER, the hotel itself was one of the worst things I could ever say. The front desk was giving away my hotel key card to ANYONE who knew my name, and when I argued with her that I feel unsafe, she argued back and was extremely rude about the situation. Before we left, we cleaned our hotel room perfectly, but when we got home in MN, I received a phone call from the manager that I was charged $500 for holes in the couch that my friends and I DID NOT MAKE. They werent helpful or considerate. I WILL NEVER tell anyone to stay here, one of the worst hotels ever. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS !!!!
Terrible place to stay. Terrible service. Had to wait more than 8 hrs for fresh towels. Their website display this beautiful hotel thats only at their 1052 location. If you do not specify this location they will stick you in one of the other 2 outdated locations 1060 or 1032 which smell like cigarettes smoke. Broken down furniture, had to call for a shower curtain. Terrible would not recommend
My friends and I stayed here for a friend’s birthday weekend and we had a very good time. We were treated very nicely. The staff is friendly, and the pool is just perfect. If you like beach activities and nightlife, this is the place to stay. The rooms were very clean and nice.
Great one bedroom with a balcony. spacious and very pretty decor. I have to say the location is unbeatable and easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops! I would definitely recommend this hotel. My room was clean and very organized at time of check in, as well as the bathroom.
This is our second time staying here, and it’s always great. Very Clean and in a Great Location.
Thoroughly inspect the room on check-in as I was charged $250.00for a “carpet stain” that I did not do. I was unsuccessful in gettingguest-services and hotel management to reverse the charge withoutmy concent on my credit card. Whenever I am inthe Miami area, I will plan to never stay at the Strand on Ocean or anyfacility managed by Sunnyside Hotels & Resorts!
Great experience! Will definitely be staying with them again. Couldnt ask for anything better than close proximity to the beach, clean room, and kind staff.
Room was well equipped for a few days stay. Kitchen with plates and cutlery. Nice shower. Balcony was cool however close to other suites. Front desk was friendly however the overall area on south beach is rundown. Not like the days gone by. Close proximity to the restaurants make the area smell a bit.
Great hotel right on the beach! Nice rooms, clean, friendly staff, and pretty much anything you could ever need. Not only is the inside nice looking, but so is the exterior. I had an amazing time in south beach. Until next time!
I loved it all the way from Memphis Tennessee to Miami Babbbbbby🥰🥰🥰💃💃
Love it. Nice area. Close to beach
This lovely boutique hotel located steps from gorgeous South Beach Miami is a gem. Our 5th floor suite had the perfect amenities including a deep soaker tub, a full kitchen, a comfy bed, plenty of space to unwind and a deck overlooking the ocean. We did have a situation upon arriving which was quickly and professionally remedied by the courteous and helpful staff. Highly recommended. We would stay here again.
Clean inside the unit. But basically directly above a popular club. I thought that was the worst but the alley-way below our window was a nightmare of noise. It never quieted down... Even after the club closed... Street noise, trash pickup, EVERYTHING!
I arrived on a Monday and booked an Ocean front room. When I got my room it was not but I was given a phone number to call with the rental property and Sabrina was very nice and switched me to an Ocean front. I was delighted with the room. It was beautiful and right on Ocean drive. I was explained I got one of the renavated rooms and it was amamzing, clean and very relaxing. Defiantly book here if you get a chance. The only thing is you have to put down a large deposit that I am waiting for to be credited.
HorribleI was give a rate of 90 for one night.after it was all said and done, they charged a 95 cleaning fee, that they charge everyone, not because our room was a mess, it was very presentable when we left. So the $90 turned into 211.00. They additionally charged $250.00 for incidentals. I have called twice about my bill, only to be hung up on.So 90 bucks turned into over 465.00 for 1 night.!!!
Loud...stinks of pot smoke....
My friends I had stayed here for spring break this past week and had the worst experience with the front desk. They would give anyone our room key that said they knew who was there. We had argued with the front desk about not doing this and the lady had the audacity to argue back. First off what hotel EVER gives out room keys to people who arent in the room in the first place. When we had left we made sure the room was in perfect shape and nothing was broke. By the time we got off the plane back home we were charged $500 dollars for holes in the couch that were clearly stab marks from the workers. WILL NEVER BOOK THERE AGAIN.
Worst. Hotel. Ever. Room was dirty. Had a 3 night reservation. Left after the first night. Told us to be out of the room by 12 so they could “clean” it. Came back 5 hours later and it still hadn’t been touched. When your teenagers comment on the grossness....you know it’s bad. Will never stay again.
Noisy, and not clean. They didn’t do the room service: no clean towels, no shampoo, avoid if you can, there is plenty of other options
I absolutely loved my stay there! The room was clean bright great view and wonderful area!It was everything I pictured! Sabrina gave us excellent customer service!I gave 4stars only because the house keeping took forever to come clean and bring fresh towels. I stayed 4days this happened on the third day of stay. Other than that my stay was wonderful...the bed was comfy the room was on point and I will most definitely will be staying again when ever I do return!Thank you for helping me enjoy my bday Sunnyside!! Meka Atlanta Ga.
Wanted a quick getaway for the weekend and decided to book here since the price was good. Room very was clean. Easily accessible to beach and restaurants. Overall I had a good experience
It is a mediocre hotel. Do not believe that the pictures of the hotel room that you reserved is the one you would get because it wont be like that at all. We checked in at around 8pm and theyre speaking in spanish that they have given our room to somebody named sophia. We ended up in a room facing a wall and a parking lot and after several calls and follow ups we did not get our room that we booked of course. The deposit is 250 USD for your room. And also a 10 USD deposit per towel. Daily housekeeping included. Bed sheets towels and some amenities were provided but they werent able to clean the dead cockroaches that we killed. A cockroach crawled near one of my friends bed and almost bit her. Also, wifi is not working for the whole stay and we asked for solution they just said its all the wifi we have. Rooftop bar is at the top of Palaces bar and is located 2 building away from where we are checked in. It is kinda confusing to find because hotel lobby is different from the checked in rooms. If i may add, one of the front desk working in the morning is rude and as I was asking about something, he said that he can only talk to my friend because she made the reservation. If you have a little more budget find a nicer hotel. Wont come back.
I absolutely loved my suite! It was clean and cute as well as modern! Super nice! The bed is comfortable and the shower wass amazing! The kitchenette was so nice! Great decision! Its by the nightclub but thats ok! Its my birthday and I came to Miami to have a great 30th birthday! Love it, I will book again in the future!
The front desk lady was the worst Stephanie was very rude and arrogant she told me to go to hell, and she said that she was on break and that she would help me when she was back on the clock. the room was very dirty and the towels never came, this place should be shut down. Better staff at the front desk and not some rude person who doesnt like her job.
This place has the worst customer service. I came to check in and my room was not really. I left and came back a few hours later. It was still not really. I left and came back again a few hours later and the room was not ready. They said they would give me my money back. I left and stayed with a friend. I noticed they never gave me my money back so I called them. They said that I had checked in and can not get my money back. I explained my story and they said I was lying. This place is a scam!! Dont go here or they will take your money and not give you a room.
Clean hotel with access to ocean Blvd strip
I love it here. Great staff 😇🙏💙 great location and fantastic food.💗 🌟✌️🌟💗
The location was awesome but D5 condo was in HORRIBLE shape. We contacted the owners to advise of the condition so hopefully the have made the repairs and updates. Balcony furniture was broken. Carpet was discussingly dirty, stained and burns on it. The coffee cups had lip stick on them. And unfortunately, we also saw roaches. We were told we are setting you up in our best condo expectations were great but we were greatly disappointed!!!! It was a sisters trip for ones 50 birthday. Location saved us. That why I am giving 2 stars. For location. Room would be a 0!!!
Very poor service! Couldn’t get bath towels or tissue. Can’t accommodate you after a certain time. Toilet was leaking and no one ever came to fix it. Had to use the towels we had to clean up the water. Then they want to charge for towel damage fees. Smh! Definitely don’t recommend this hotel!
Good hotel for a night stay. The city never sleeps.
Dated and very loud. Good location, though.
When we first checked in, we asked the front desk if we could possibly have the room expedited since we had all of our luggage with us and no car. She said she would try her best and was very accommodating. Upon entering our room, we found one of the pull out beds was missing a stilt to hold up the pullout. We also found dirty sheets along with hair, debri and sand in the shower. Last but certainly not least, roaches scattered under the king bed mattress. We let the front desk know, and while the woman we talked to was very understanding, the man that appeared to be some kind of manager explained that this is Miami and that bugs are just normal. Nevertheless he escorted us to our new room. While this room had a gorgeous view, it was much smaller and no partial refund was given. We complained about this and were told it probably just looks smaller. The man was dismissive and didnt offer to carry a single bag, despite the room being a block away and several flights down our previous one. When we explained our situation with him, he was overall dismissive and acted as if our complaints were petty. ROACHES. Not mosquitos, not those pesty homebois we call flies. But roaches. All we were offered were drink discounts at the bar upstairs. Not even free drinks.Overall this hotel has gorgeous rooms with amazing location paired with some of the most awful service Ive ever encountered. This is all being observed by a group of people who also happen to work in the service industry. If anyone were to understand mishaps it would be us. Serious let down.
Great place to stay if youre looking for a fun weekend in the heart of Miami Beach! I would suggest that everyone reads what the hotel comes with such as daily cleaning but no breakfast. Totally fine since there is a $10 Breakfast Credit per day at the restaurant infront of the hotel!PRO: Eating at the Versace Restaurant discounted!CON: dont have one!
Beautiful condo with balcony. I would have given 5 starts but the elevator went out during my stay which was very inconvenient since I was on the 5th floor. Otherwise, it was beauiful, convenient location, clean and spacious.
***WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, STAY AWAY*****First of all. the property is a complex of three buildings, which is managed by two companies, (the hotel and C rental). Lady property manager from C rental called me hours before check in to let me know that I needed to be relocated because their rooftop pool was leaking into my room and wanted to downgrade me into another hotel in a tiny room.Later I come to find out, she rented my room at a higher price last minute, and I had booked my room a month ahead. Busy weekend in Miami, long story short, after spending 5 hours on the phone I got similar property on my own and got a refund from C rental a month later****WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, STAY AWAY****
When I got to the hotel to check in it was very hard to find where to go to the lobby, I had to ask a few different people for help, when I found the lobby I got my room keys and went up to the room. On the way there it was very dirty and I found drug baggies on the outside of the rooms. When I got in the room, at first glance it looked nice but when yuh walk in and look around the floors were dirty, there was broken couches and other furniture, the bed was dirty, I called the hotel and tried to get a refund for the place because I did not feel comfortable staying there with my family, they couldn’t do anything, VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!. We ended up leaving the hotel and booked a room somewhere else. DONT STAY HERE! Prices are high for a room and you don’t get much.
This hotel is by far the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. Our room had stale food from the previous guest, the outlets didnt work, the dishes were dirty, there was a leak in the bathroom and every time I asked them to clean the room they said they would and never did. The only thing they ever did was give us new towels. Then on top of the condition of the room I got charged a damage fee because they found ashes in the room when none of of the people I stayed with smoke. Once I called to dispute it they said they had proof and never showed me that proof and I pointed out that I asked them to clean the room several times and the manager asked if I had proof! They do not care about customer service and will do anything to keep extra money.
Great prices and right off the strip
Nice service and location, however the cleaning was not what you would expect in any hotel.
Great place if you are looking to party all night
So glad I read the reviews on here before booking. It made me look at the fees and realizing that for a room which is costing me $249 USD a night, I would be paying $475 USD in property fees per night (see attached) 😂😂😂. That’s ludicrous. One must be an idiot who doesn’t understand basic economics to book at this hotel 🏨. That’s like going inside McDonald’s ordering a Big Mac meal which costs $5.99 USD and being told the tax is $11.38 USD additional. You have to be fool to stay here. Read the fine prints before you book here.
Loved staying here!Being across from the beach is perfect.
I loved this place and the location
Rooftop is spectacular
The room is nice and clean but be aware of hidden fees.
They show you different building in a picture but your stay might be in another building.. The owner of property and handler both are different.. They charge almost 100% service charge and cleaning fee.. No breakfast.. No waterbottles.. No free coffee or Lamonade..I travelled east cost but this was the only place where I regret paying.. U dont get to complain to anyone as handlers will give u owners numver saying that they can not help you in any way.. Whereas owner is always unreachable..
I BOOKED W/ TRAVELOCITY & HAD ISSUES W/ THE AMT I WAS TOLD VS THE STRANDS ATTEMPTED AMT WHICH WAS $140 DIFFERENCE. CLEARLY I HAD QUESTIONS, TRAVELOCITY WAS GREAT W/ ATTEMPTINGTO MAKE IT RIGHT BECAUSE I WAS MISINFORMED. MEANWHILE THE STRAND EMAILED, TEXT & CALLED W/ THREATS TO CANCEL. I EXPLAINED & TRAVELOCITY CALLED TO PAY THEM YET VALERIE AT THE STRAND SAID I WAS TRYING NOT TO PAY .SHE BEEPS IN TO SCREAM AT ME & CANCELLED MY RESV. STATING PEOPLE JUST DONT WANT TO PAY. (TRAVELOCITY WAS CONFIRMING TO PAYIN FULL) THINKING SHE WAS CONFUSED I TRIED TO EXPLAIN AGAIN BUT NOPE SHES JUST RUDE REFUSING TO LISTEN STATING I DONT HAVE TO DEAL W/IT. TRAVELOCITY CALLED HER TO EXPLAIN THEIR MISTAKE &SHE DID NOT CARE. I WAS NOT RUDE TO HER UNTIL SHE SCREAMED F OFF. UMM I WILL NOT SPEND A PENNY W/ THIS HOTEL & SOCIAL MEDIA CAN READ ALL ABOUT IT BECAUSE NO CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED THIS WAY ESP BY EMPLOYEES ITS UNPROFESSIONAL & DISRESPECTFUL. TRAVELOCITY SUPERVISOR WAS UPSET BECAUSE VALERIE HAD 2 PHONES GOING SCREAMING AT US BOTH FOR NO APPARENT REASON. RESPECT PEOPLE & THEY COMPANY THAT EMPLOYS YOU. FOR MY $747 YOU GONE RESPECT ME OR NOT GET MY BUSINESS. AS IF I CANT ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT MY MONEY. SO PEOPLE WATCH HER NO TELLING WHOS UP NEXT OR WHAT SHE MAY DO NEXT. SHE NEEDS TO WORK IN A FACTORY IN THE BACK !
I really enjoyed the view and the area being close to everything.
Only for the location and pool on roof topRoom carpeting was so old, worn out and decayedWi-Fi not working during our one night stay
Booked here for my bestfriends bday. had the best time!!!! was a little skeptical at first because of all the negative reviews but there are so many pros that the cons dont matter.parking was a concern for us since were not familiar with the area but staff gave us options as to what would fit our budget. (Valet or local parking garage)We couldnt check in until 4pm but the staff suggested day time activities so it wouldnt feel like we wasted our day so thats a huge plus.room was BEAUTIFUL. no issues with cleansliness (another concern of ours reading thru the reviews)the beach is soooo close!!!! you can LITERALLY walk there.so many options for food. such a lively area always playing music.definitely coming back, but for my birthday this time!!! haha
They said you get ur deposit the nx day but its 10 working days
