A friend and I were visiting from Carolina and didnt know where to stay on South Beach. We wanted an inexpensive place to stay that was close to all the action on South Beach. This place was exactly what we were looking for! Just a 3 minute walk to South Beach yet far away from the rowdy crowd South Beach is known for. Maria was so hospitable and gave great suggestions on where to eat and what to visit. She met us on the first day with the keys and parking passes for each day of our stay, gave us a tour of the home and that was, she gave us our privacy. If we needed any thing she was very helpful and responsive. The home is very beautiful, walk-in shower, and super comfy bed. It has a washer and dryer which we loved and used almost everyday due to our trips back and forth to the beach. The place even came with a couple of beach chairs. The smoke detector batteries did go dead but Maria came to replace them that next hour! Great place to stay, quiet neighborhood and close to the south beach action! Definitely staying here again.

Great stay! I stayed in one of Marias properties last week and had a wonderful time! Great location, great price, extremely clean apartment with more than enough bedding/towels. Maria was so accommodating. We were within minutes of the beach and all the best restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

South Beach Vacation Rentals is a great place to stay near the beach and is very affordable compared to other rentals in the area. The apartment we stayed in for the weekend was clean, close to the beach and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owner was readily available to answer any questions we had before and during our stay.

If you value your time, money, and overall honesty- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Again I repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will not be afforded the accommodations that you agreed to and paid for via contract. Michael and Teresa are unresponsive to calls, emails, and texts- AND THATS BEFORE YOU EVEN GET THERE! My girlfriends and I contracted with South Beach Vacation rental for a condo at the Mondrian South Beach for April 16-20. When we arrived at the Mondrian we were appropriately greeted and checked into the unit that we had contracted for. The place was beautiful and everything that we expected from our contract! No more than 1 hour later, Michael contacted us to notify us that he had double booked our unit at the Mondrian, and that we needed to move. We reluctantly agreed because Michael promised that our new accommodations would be an uprgade to compensate for our inconvenience. Michael brought us to a 2 BR, 2.5 BA condo off of the Flamingo- this condo was FILTHY, including blood on the sheets, and after being cleaned the accommodations were still sub-par, and certainly well below those at the Mondrian. The master bathroom had severe plumbing issues, leaving the sinks and shower filthy after one use, and there was a creepy light up shower head to make matters worse. There wasnt even a trashcan in the kitchen! We notified Michael that we were unhappy with our accommodations, and instead of offering to address our concerns he tried to placate us with promises to take care of us with admissions to night clubs and reservations at exclusive restaurants He also insisted on being paid in cash, instead of using the CC information that we sent. At this point we decided that Michael Summers and South Beach Vacations were not legitimate- he had not honored our signed contract and then requested to be paid in cash, despite having our credit card information on file (the cc info accompanied our signed contract). We were forced to find alternative accommodations at the Loews Hotel (very nice). Michael Summers threatened to still charge my credit card, and I was forced to cancel my card while in South Beach (this introduced a whole other set of problems). Upon our return one member of our group posted her review of South Beach Vacation Rentals on various sites, and Michael called her with threats to plaster us all over the internet if we did not remove the damning but truthful reviews. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF and DO NOT use this company or rent through Michael Summers! You WILL regret it.

Seriously RUN!!!!! I worked with Michael Summers, the apparent owner of the company and it was a NIGHTMARE. He lied the whole way through, we had difficulty even getting responses from them in terms of our contract and our stay. We signed the contract payed for the Mondrian, showed up there, they checked us in, AND THEN CALLED AN HOUR LATER SAYING THEY DOUBLE BOOKED US.Apparently two people booked the Mondrian that weekend and because this man went directly through VRBO they were forced to honor their contract. They did not honor ours because they claimed that they never charged our card. His solution was what he called a more expensive town home. While it was nice on the inside, there were several gaping disgusting areas that could not be overlooked.Blood on the sheetsBathroom uncleanPolice officers showing up in the middle of the day looking for the ownerSink drains not working properlyCan i repeat my first one: BLOOD ON THE SHEETSThis in itself was enough to run and not turn back. We were dissatisfied and tried to speak with Michael but he did nothing. Thank God they didnt charge our card. Michael asked us to give him cash for the transaction. He obviously is into shady dealings. We felt uncomfortable with that and also the stay. He was so upset when we decided to pay him for one night and then book a room directly with the Mondrian our intended place to stay. He acted crazy, followed us to the house and then demanded we let with in 5 minutes. There was no contract sent to us despite telling him we needed a contract and a receipt if he expected cash. Like I said RUN.We are a group of professional women and have never felt that threatened or unsafe on vacation. If I were you, I would just book directly with the hotel or directly with the VRBO site so you can be certain your contract is honored. Thanks.

Property we stayed in was just an absolute hole.. The owner Mike is highly unprofessional and a liar. Hes the guy that sets you up with a lemon rental and then goes dark on you after hes received your money.Mike, news flash bud! There are internet outlets to let others know about your corrupt grimy ways so that they dont have to deal with your highly unethical practices.Renters...BEWARE.....STAY AWAY
