Incredible fishing trip!!!! My wife and I decided to reward our 3 High School aged sons for a Well Done school year. We picked Top Gun Charters out of Key Biscayne (Miami) even though we were traveling down to Key West. Reviews, pictures and a gut feeling were all the right reasons to pick them. My sons caught a 60lb Sailfish, a 50lb Sailfish and a plus 30lb King Mackerel. Throw in 8 very large Bonito a few broken lines and it was one hell of a fishing trip. All 3 sons who grew up fishing in Florida oceans caught their largest fish ever. Captain Dave did an unbelievable job keeping his eyes constantly on the horizon looking for birds working. The 1st mate Jose was so helpful coaching 2 of my sons while they caught their Sailfish he made it seem easy and really relaxed them to the point where they could not have enjoyed the event anymore then they did. We had an extra mate Matt and he also went above and beyond to make this a GREAT fishing trip!!! Highly Recommend!!!

We had the best time with Nel, Jose, and Matt! They know exactly how to teach a newby like me. We will no doubt call these guys again!

What a wonderful time we had. Nell & José were awesome. My three kids each caught great fish. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a wonderful fishing trip. We will definitely go out with them again the next time we are in Miami!

Very awesome guys. They know what they’re doing and offer a great time. Boat and equipment are some of the best. Their knowledge of what they do is great for seasoned vets or newbies like us. Well worth it. My son had a great time, maybe we will get that big one next time.

Capt Nel and his first mate Mario created memories for us that will be shared for generations in my family. The action was fantastic and the ability to coach us through our adventure was priceless. My 10 year old grandson, Liam, will write essays about how he lived the Old Man and the Sea adventure. Thank you both for your passion in you profession.

Had a great day fishing with Captain Nel Martinez and First mate Riley. The boat was clean and had 2 really comfortable leather couches & air conditioning. We caught our own bait then went offshore catching mahi & a few Bonita. Made some classic memories along the way. Book him! And choose the Top Gun 2 boat!

Booked an all day. Riley worked hard using different bait and techniques to get us some fish. Captain Nel and Riley were both knowledgeable and answered our questions. Tips: if you think you may be prone to motion sickness just take a dramamine pill 30 minutes before you leave shore. Bring Snacks, drinks, sunscreen. Our boat had an ac sitting area good place for a break. Captin Nel also cleaned our fish. Had a great time. The Captain recommended a restaurant right down the road that would cook part of our catch. We did blackened fish tacos. Excellent way to end the day!

What else could you ask for in a fishing trip. Caught a Kingfish, a Barracuda, and a Monster Sailfish. Captain was experienced and Knowledgeable. Crew was experienced and Knowledgeable and fast to react to changing situations. This trip only lead to one problem, what wall am I going to hang my trophy on.Great Job Guys!!!

Captain and crew were not professional. Captain showed up late. Mate was disrespectful. Poor maintenance on boat. Captain cant seem to find the fish. Not one hook up. Spent $4500 on a boat ride. Horrible experience and total rip off. If youre looking for a private fishing charter choose another captain.

I have a company trip every year and it’s been a running joke that I am cursed with marine fishing. Bahamas, Cabo, Puerto Rico, San Diego, and others. We picked the best reviewed companies—nadda.They asked what I wanted to catch I said “anything”. I said Sailfish, but don’t expect that to be realistic, particularly given my history. I hooked two, lost one. Also caught a trophy Cuda, and several Bonita! It was an absolute blast, the crew hustled to ensure fresh bait was on the line and took me a good distance to where I could catch one of my dream fish. It may never happen again, so I mounted it up to sit alongside my 500 gallon in-wall saltwater fish tank!I highly highly highly recommend these guys! I only wish I could go again before I return home to cold Indianapolis!

We had a great experience with top Gun fishing!!!! Good captain, great first mate and reasonable price. I was really happy to catch as many fish as we did!!! Didnt have to go too far off shore and we only did 1/2 day.

My friend decided that we needed to get out fishing while on holiday in Miami Beach so we picked up the phone and called Top Gun. Within a few minutes we had the charter booked and Captain Nel called back a bit later to confirm our pickup location.The next morning Top Gun and crew picked us up literally a few hundred feet from our place (we were staying close to the water) and off we went.All three of us had a great experience on the boat, enjoyed interacting with the crew and caught loads of fish! Reeling in those sailfish was a hoot!I would highly recommend Top Gun Fishing Charters if youre considering getting out.

Thanks Captain Nel and Captain Denny for a great time fishing with my buddies. After a great fishing day, you can’t beat freshly caught tuna sushimi on the dock upon return. Amazing game attention to detail as they allowed us to enjoy and do as much or little as we were up to.

Captain Danny and crew worked extremely hard to get us on fish. We had the time of our lives. We caught two sail fish, one was 84 inches long, the thrill of a lifetime.

Six of us had a fantastic day aboard the Top Gun. Capt. and crew were great, took us all around Miami, and we had a really good haul - that tasted awesome, too! Thanks again!

Great trip! Came to Miami for a long weekend and decided to charter a boat last min for the next morning as we ate dinner. Capt Nel set us up with a good trip at 7am, within the first hour we were hooked into a couple sailfish! First mate Danny had some some solid kite fishing rigged up, which let us keep fishing even as we were reeling in fish. Landed about 10 fish including a kingfish and 3 big tuna. Would highly recommend this crew to anyone visiting the area and will def charter them again next time we visit south beach!

Took my daughter and a group of 16 year old girls who love to fish (but have never really been fishing) for a sweet 16 fishing trip on Top Gun. Selected them based on reviews and found the pricing to be fair after comparing online. Capt Nel hand delivered a gift certificate and visors for the surprise gift, how great is that? It was the perfect choice, the girls loved it. The captain and mates were amazing, friendly, helpful, informative and encouraging to the girls who caught Mahi and sailfish. From never really having been fishing to catching (and releasing) 2 sailfish was incredible. Talk about bragging rights. What a great trip. Captain Nel took pictures and tagged the girls with their catch, everyone took home fish for dinner! So much fun, terrific crew, cant wait to fish with them again soon.

Booked with this charter at last minute on vacation, they were able to accommodate and had an amazing trip....Captain Nel and Danny couldnt have been better. Got lucky and caught 2 sail fish
