Capt Manny worked very hard to put us on fish on a 4 hour afternoon trip aboard the Spellbound. I cannot say enough about the boat, captain and crew. Everyone wanted to make sure that we had a good time. We put a 48” and 30” barracuda on the boat as well as a 40” amberjack,…..and my fiancé Dawn caught lots of Bonita for bait! Will return.

Manny & Matt were amazing! We had a group of 7 for our Dads Birthday and they were beyond knowledgeable for the full experience. Matt was very skilled and hype through out the whole trip making sure we were successful, keeping everyone engaged! Manny led our trip with knowledge and wisdom to make sure we came home with trophy winning fish! We could not be more pleased with our trip if I could I would rate 5+ stars my Dad has not stop talking about the experience since we stepped off the boat. Experience of a life time all because of Manny and Matt, the ultimate dynamic duo!!!!!!

Went on the boat with Manny and Matt this week. We had a great time. Fishing was slow, as it can be sometimes, pulled in about 5 tuna, but towards the end of the trip, pulled in a monster 400-500 lb hammerhead. Fought it well over an hour, completely made the whole trip. Once in a lifetime catch!! These 2 guys were very cool, Matt was awesome and was a cool dude to hang out with on the boat. Really enjoyed you guys.

We scheduled a Birthday Party for our son that was turning 11 with this Charter Company on Spellbound.  On the day of the party there was a small craft advisory with forecasted waves of 6-8 feet.  I contacted Kim and she told me the conditions were OK just a little bumpy and that the captain was not going to cancel the trip.  We trusted this and decided to continue with the Birthday Party.  The party of 17 boarded the boat and we headed into what we would later find out were very DANGEROUS waters.  The waves were 8ft – 10ft at least.  We had 10 Children on the boat ranging from 5-13 years.  More than ½ of our guests got very sick.  After noticing that conditions were not safe for anyone on the boat we ask the Captain to take us back in an to a sandbar.  We paid over $2000 with tip included.  We trusted that the Charter company would have made the correct and safe decision rescheduled our trip.  The Spellbound considers itself a large craft but in waves of 8ft – 10ft it might as well have been a 10ft boat.Captain Manny and Matthew were great but this was obviously a decision by the owner of the boat that money was more important than safety.  I am sure if you are lucky to get a nice day you will have a great time but do not trust that this company will make the right choices if there is dangerous weather forecasted for the day.

I do a good amount of Bass fishing back home and had never been deep sea fishing, and was always on my bucket list. I chose the Spellbound after reading some reviews, looking at pictures on the website and speaking with Capt. Jay. Let me just say that we were not disappointed... We had a great day. We caught a bunch of medium sized Tuna and a 7 foot Shark. Although the highlight of the day was catching a 25 pound Sea Bass (Grouper). Now my largest Bass was caught off Miami Beach on the Spellbound. A big thanks to Capt. Jay and Mike the mate, you guys made my trip !!

Went fishing on our honeymoon and had a BLAST! We had Capt Manny and Nano who took us out. Kim was also incredibly helpful in getting our day scheduled. Day 1 it poured and Kim answered the phone at 6:30 am to make sure we were or were not good to go. Day 2 of rescheduling Kim says we are good at 6:30 and when we arrive at the boat, Nano and Manny say we can go out but due to rain it may not be too fun, and if we can we should reschedule. Day 3 we finally got out and it was a BLAST! I caught a huge king mackerel, we caught a ton of tuna, and my husband caught a trophy size barracuda! We had the option to release the fish or mount it, and we chose to keep it and have a local taxidermist do the work, which was SO easy! We filled out a slip, paid for the services, and they handled the rest! We plan to go back to Florida in the near future, and another trip on the spellbound is a non-negotiable!

I chartered the Spellbound to take my 6 and 11 year old grandsons on their first fishing trip. And what a great trip we had, We started out trolling for the big game sport fish and we hit a home run. We caught a 40+ pound Wahoo. What a truly great experience. We also caught a few Tuna around 8 to 15 pounds.The trolling fish were a bit challenging for the 6 year old so Capt. Jay suggested we do a little light tackle bottom fishing. We were using 8 pound spin gear and wound up catching 10 lane snappers and a Yellow Tail snapper. tons of fun on the light rod.The boat was big and comfortable and the A/C in the cabin was super cool. That was great because it was 94 degrees that day. Capt. Jay and Mike were just terrific and great with the boys.I highly recommend taking a 1/2 day with the Spellbound and crew. We made memories that will last a lifetime!

Had a great experience with these guys. Boat and crew were just wonderful. Been on quite a few fishing charters in my life and this one was tops. The boat is in great shape, clean and modern. Fishing was a blast and caught a really cool fish called and African Pompano

The boat was spacious and clean. Manny and Coby were very knowledgeable and pleasant. We trolled for some tuna and used that as bait and caught 40” barracudas. Would use them again

I was putting on a bachelor party for my guys and we had a group of ten of us. We had a hard time finding a boat that could take all of us together . Then fortunately I found Capt. Jays Deep sea fishing. They are allowed the larger groups . We had a great time. We all got the opportunity to catch two fish each. We caught Tuna and Kingfish and the big catch of the day was a 7 foot Shark. Boat and crew were amazing... best time ever!

Been out with these guys a few times before and always have a great time. I just did a trip with them and caught a bunch of fish and had a really fun time. The boat was fresh out of the boat yard and looks like new and was super clean inside and out.

I just want to say that my familys trip with Capt. Manny and Billy was the highlight of our trip to Miami Beach. The Spellbound was just an amazing charter fishing boat and the crew could not have been friendlier and more informative. The fishing was great we caught a Sailfish and many other cool game fish and some colorful bottom fish. The entire process of booking directly online, arriving at the boat and getting to the fishing grounds could not have been easier ! I just cant wait till next year !!

We chose Capt. Jays Spellbound for our family because they were USCG licensed and we liked the idea that there boat goes through inspections and regulations from the Coast Guard.The boat and crew were just awesome. Capt. Many and his mate Mike were great with our kids and we had just a ton of fun. We chose bottom fishing so the kids could get a lot of action, and we were not disappointed . We caught snappers, Jacks, Trigger fish and even a cool spotted Grouper. Thanks to the crew for making us feel at home with them and making our day so special.

The boat, crew and the fishing were all top notch. Had a great time and a great experience. Its a must do if you have never been before. It was my sons first time and it will be a memory we will share forever.

Just a great experience... We used their online booking service, and were booked and confirmed in minutes. Two weeks later we were in Miami on our vacation and ready for our fishing trip.The fishing was really exiting, the boat was great and the crew could not have been nicer or more informative.We highly recommend a fishing charter the spellbound, and cant wait to do it again.

We are a family of seven and chartered the Spellbound for a morning 1/2 day trip. I have been on a few fishing trips throughout my life and knowing what you can do in a half day my expectations were low.Well, I was wrong... We had a terrific fishing trip. Capt. Manny and Billy the mate were just amazing. Manny offered great information and Billy was a lot of fun. The boat was big and comfortable and more than you could have asked for.The fishing was full of action right from the start. We caught a few king fish to start the day. Then we were attacked by Little Tunny (Tunny Tuna). We hooked into four at one time, and landed all of them. Later in the trip we stopped on a wreck and put out a few live baits. We waited for a while then hooked into a Big Mutton Snapper. Then just a few minutes later we hooked into and landed a Barracuda. My 10 year old son caught the Barracuda and it was a few inches larger than my son!That evening we made sushi from the Little Tunny and it was such a treat.Cant say enough great things about our fishing trip and would give them 8 stars if it was allowed.

I was on a fishing trip that our company put together. We had 17 people in our group and I was concerned we would be crowded. Well I was wrong, the boat had plenty of room for all of us.We all just had the best time. Everyone caught a fish, and some people caught more. Most of the fish were Kingfish were more than 3 feet long and we also caught a bunch of Tuna that were from about 5 pounds to almost 20 pounds. The big fish of the day was an 80 pound Amberjack.The boat was just amazing and the crew were both talented and and a great fun. I am just so glad I was able to be part of such a great experience.

I booked the Spellbound for a fishing trip for my family of four. We fished with Capt. Jay and Mike the mate. First of all we had a great time, we caught Kingfish, Tunas, Bonita and many others. About half way through our charter the captain said lets change things up and do some deep fishing. O boy was that fun... we caught all kinds of cool looking fish. Spotted Grouper, pink Snappers with bright yellow eyes and a Tilefish with a brilliant blue line on its face. So cool and just so much fun. Thanks for making our day !!

I went fishing with Capt. Manny and Mike the mate on the Spellbound. Capt Manny could not have been nicer and a true pleasure to be with for four hours. He was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining.We booked them for a four hour half day trip of deep sea fishing. It was truly amazing and the best part was that the water gets so deep so close to shore. We were in 700 feet of water and could not have been out more than 3 miles. The amazing part was all of our fish were caught closer in !Capt. Manny had us on fish just a mile off shore. and we were never more than 3 miles out. We caught Tuna, Kingfish, Mahi Mahi, Barracuda and a Big and I mean BIG Amberjack.Let me tell you how great it is to not have to run far offshore and spend your day hunting around instead of catching fish. The boat was first class . Kim was the first person we spoke with. She was great answered all of our questions and got us booked quickly.Over all the experience could not have been better... Thanks for the great adventure and memories !

Was blowing 30 knots. Did not catch anything. Even if we did hook up onto something we would have been tossed across the deck and injured. Could not even walk downstairs to use head without being tossed to the floor. Captain should have canceled. Understand company needs to make their money, but the right call should have been to cancel. Could have had a better experience the next day. Waste of $.

Booked the Spellbound for my bachelor party. I had a blast, capt Manny got us on fish within 30 min and billy kept us laughing on deck. Ended up cutting the trip short due to the lack of sea legs and stomach contents of my groomsmen, but still highlight of the trip. The Spellbound has everything you need and more (A/C). Boat was well taken care of and clean. If Im ever back in the area Ill definitely give these guys a call.If there for a trip, Id advise using thumbtack to get a personal chef to cook your catch.

I was part of a corporate group that fished on the Spellbound with Capt. Manny and Billy. The company that a work with gave me this trip a reward along with 14 other people. I just wanted to say it was a great experience and made my entire trip to Miami Beach. The boat, crew and fishing were all awesome. We caught lots of fish and had a great time. I highly recommend this event and this company to any one visiting the Miami area.

My family traveled to Miami Beach to visit with relatives and take a short summer vacation. We decided to try a fishing trip and looked to book a boat for the same day.We called the Spellbound and spoke with Kim the booking agent. She was just great. She answered all of my questions and reserved the boat for us at 1pm the same day.The fishing excursion was such a great idea. We all caught at least two fish and my 12 year old son caught a 7 foot Hammer Head Shark, so cool !!It quickly became our favorite experience of our vacation. The crew were just great to be around and the boat was big truly amazing.We cant wait until next year when we come back to see family... We will defiantly go fishing with the Spellbound and crew again!

We chartered Capt. Jays deep sea fishing Miami and went out on their 57 Spellbound. We fished with Capt. Manny and the boats mate Mike. We had a great time. We caught fish from the time we put lines in and lasted almost 2 hours of action. The captain suggested we try our luck and target something bigger... Man was that a great idea. We ended the trip catching a 10 Hammer Head Shark. We chose a fishing trip as an after thought to our family trip to Miami, and it turned out to be the hi light of our trip. Big Thanks to the Spellbound and the crew!

Best trip I have ever done and I have done many fishing trips.We went 2 days in a row with Capt Manny and Capt Jay and first mate Mike. Amazing folks!They got us on fish immediately. We caught king tuna barracuda snapper. Just amazing fights.On day 2 they spiced things up and we fought barracudas on spinner reels. Highly recommended if you want a real fight 😂I would give it 6 stars if I could!We will be back!

I took a few 4 other veterans with me on a 4 hour trip with spellbound. We had a blast and I caught a huge king mackerel. Will definitely come back.

We booked Capt. Jays Deep Sea Fishing Miami and went out on their Spellbound. We were very lucky as we had just the best weather on our day. Our goal was to go Shark Fishing ! What happened was that we wound up Shark Catching !! We had the best time and were luck enough to land a 7 foot Shark. We also caught a few Tunas and King Fish, all in a half day. We highly recommend asking for Capt. Manny. He and the mate were just tremendous.

We Hired Capt. Jays Deep Sea Fishing Miami to do our corporate event on their 57 Spellbound. We had arranged to have 16 people on our tour. Although on the day of the trip two more of our people wanted to join the group. We arrived at the boat and explained to Capt. Manny that we wanted to add two more people and to our relief he said no problem and welcomed our entire group on board. The boat was just great and the crew was even better. We caught a bunch of fish and enjoyed just being out on the ocean. The boat was very comfortable for 18 people. I would highly recommend the outing, and it was just perfect having this shared experience for the team. A special thanks to Capt. Manny and Billy for making our tour so enjoyable. We will certainly be planing to do this event again next year

5 stars. Hands down. Captain Manny and Ryan were super professional and incredibly informative. I would reccomend to anyone who is looking for a great time from any skill level from beginner to expert.

If i could give more than 5 stars i would. We went out with captain Jay and Manny, With first mate Mike. This trip was incredible. We went out and because the trolling at midday was slow, our captain and first mate decided to switch up the fishing. we targeted snapper, then used live bait to catch huge barracuda. on the way back, we trolled and caught multiple bonita and kingfish. The crew were incredibly nice and had our best interests at heart. Incredible trip overall. I will definitely be coming back for more fishing.

They made us pay tip in advance and just took us a mile along the coast rather than deep sea despite agreeing everything in advance. Classic bait and switch. Captain Manny then did the absolute minimum while being rude to everyone. No manners or customer focus. The only decent thing about them is the boat is comfortable. Big whoop. Ive been out with over 10 and never had an issue but in place like Miami you are bound to encounter a few crooks.

We have read a lot of positive reviews of this fishing company but we might be just an unlucky group. There were 12 of us and we called them a day in advance to tell them what we were looking for. The lady on the phone confirmed everything and it seemed to be fine.However, when we got there,, Captain Manny seemed to have some attitudes. I dont know what his deal was but he was completely failed as a fisherman as well as his assistant. He did not try hard to hunt for fish, instead he just cruised around the coast. If you are hunting for deer, you would not just look around the park but you need to go to the deep forest. Same thing as fishing. Instead, he and his crew treated us as if we are an idiot and though we knew nothing about fishing. but yes, we observed their behaviors. I totally understand about the weather and other circumstances BUT you need to try your best and be PROACTIVE NOT JUST SAT AROUND AND GAVE EVERYONE A REASON. On top of that if there are not many fish this time of the year, you should tell us in advance.On top of that he charged 20% tip in advance before he even did his job. We paid $1700 in total and they might have though that it is an easy money for them.. they just preserved gas and did not need to make an effort as we are idiots.Sorry, this is not cool and if we have known that we probably go with another company which is so much cheaper and we might not even upset if the captain did not do anything.WE PAID A LOT AND WE EXPECT FROM YOU A LOT TOO. WE PROVIDED ANYTHING YOU NEEDED. YOU ASKED FOR 50%DEPOSIT, WE PAID DEPOSIT. YOU CHARGED 20% IN ADVANCE, WE SAID NOTHING BUT WHAT YOU GAVE BACK TO US IS ZERO EFFORT

Great company to deal with. Unfortunately did not have there boat ready to go out due to inspections but was very helpful and willing to help us to get on another boat. Great customer service.

Me and my nine friends went on a fishing trip aboard The Spellbound for my husbands birthday. Wow this boat was extremely accommodating for this size group.Easy to find Marina lots of parking behind boat. We had a quick ride out and fishing in 15 minutes from the Marina. Crew was extremely knowledgeable an very professional. Our catch include King Mackerals, Bonitas and Sailfish. Made for an exciting and memorable experience that we wont forget. Thank-you Capt. Manny and Mate Billy

Big rip off. Rude captain charged us 20% tip in advance and then made no effort and didnt take us out far enough into the deep sea. Just hung around the coast. Not worth the amount we paid to charter our own boat for deep sea fishing.
