Really super friendly staff. The area you get to play in is pretty sizable, and the jet skis were fast. I got mine up to 35 mph which feels pretty fast when going over some chop. I went for an hr ride which was long enough that I was fully satisfied at the end and was ready to come back probably a bit before that. The area they have is mildly interesting with some sailboats to check out and not too much other traffic to watch for. Not out of this world though, and is basically a large rectangular area. Plenty of room to play, but not much of a sight seeing ride (I didnt do the tour, which goes outside of the restricted area). Time wise they definitely gave me the full hour on the water with a nice powerful jet ski.Oh and they are good about taking your pictures out on the water and then uploading them so you wont need your camera.

The best tour around. I really think that this is one of the best things people can do in Miami. A must do tour. We had so much fun. Especially our tour guide Joel, a very friendly, professional guy who showed us Miami in a perfect way. Thank you guys!

When our plans in town got cancelled, a quick search showed American WaterSports as among the most affordable for jet ski rental. We walked up at 5pm and were able to rent 3 jet skis at 6pm. It was the PERFECT time to jet ski while the sun was starting to set. We had varying levels of experience and they were warm, reassuring, fun and safe! I will say the area isnt huge so the scenery gets a little old by the end of the hour, but between admiring the island houses, basking in the gorgeous sunset, enjoying the jet ski breeze, and reveling in serendipity that led us there... this was a great find.

I was down in my favorite city, Miami, for a few days and badly wanted to get out on the water - particularly on a jet ski. I yelped to find a few options and called American Watersports. Their prices were a little higher than some of the competitors, but not crazy differences.. The guy on the phone mentioned they just received a new fleet of jet skis.This sounded like some good luck, so I decided to go over there. I arrived, and opted for the tour because it lets you explore a lot more than just free time between the bridges. The crafts were definitely brand new - nicest Ive ever rented... or ridden for that matter. Mine had 4.4 hours on it when I got on!Jonathan was our guide and this guy was awesome. Super friendly and fun, showed us a great time.I would do it again in a heartbeat and look forward to my next visit. This is probably the best spot in Miami to rent, you wont regret it.

I had a appointment booked and money deposited and they gave my appointment to someone else. Don’t waste your money and time with these people.

I dont even no where to begin. This experience was HORRIBLE. They act nice in the beginning, but then cheat you of your money in the end. The staff told us that if our boat went to 4 meters of depth or below, that we had to raise the propeller. The boat had a broken depth meter, so while we thought it was 6.2 meters, we actually hit the bottom. We immediately stopped the boat, and there was no damage to the boat. Some rust rubbed off of the propellers, but based on pictures we took before taking the boat out, the rudder was in the same condition after. When we got back to the marina, they informed us that we would either have to pay $400 on card or $200 cash for damages, or we would not be able to get our $1000 security deposit back. We explained that the meter was broken, but they did not care or believe us. We asked if they were going to check the meter, and they claimed that they would, so we asked if we would get a refund for the $200 fee if it was in fact broken and the propeller hitting the bottom was not our fault, but the manager said no. We asked to talk to the owner, and she gave us his number and we called multiple times, and he did not answer. We heard the manager whispering to the owner on the phone talking about us, and we asked her why the owner is not answering, and she said he was busy because he is a ship captain. Complete scam of a business, spend your money elsewhere.

We live in Miami and decided to go out today for the first time in the bay. We had a great time renting with these guys! The staff is very friendly, it was easy to sign up and the jet skis are really nice. If youre looking to jet ski on the bay, this is the place to use. They are easily accessible south of fifth, right at Pier A. They have free lockers to lock youre stuff while youre out and provide you with life jackets and safety info before you head out. 1 hour cost us about $140. Id rent from them again in a heartbeat.

We thought this place was great. Helpful and lacks people who have been doing this job for many years. The tour guide had us out and about in the bay, going very fast at times and slower in places like the manatee zone. A person in our group said they saw a manatee there and that it went under the jet ski. We got to see the giant cranes that lift cargo off the ships, all the cruise ships, and the very rich people houses. Great instructors and a great time.

Harrison and Mike were the best! They provided top notch service and touring during our jet ski excursion. We got to see some great sites and all at a reasonable price compared to the competition. Cant wait to come back!

Had a great time Jet Skiing on my birthday. The experience made it one of them can my best birthdays to remember for a long time. It was so much fun I plan to do it again soon with them. They are very professional and have a good sense of humor. And have a safe environment for you to enjoy the ride.

We rented two Jet Skis for one hour from American Water Sports at the Miami Beach Marina. The customer service was professional, friendly and enthusiastic which I was not expecting when dealing with a Jet Ski Company. The safety presentation was concise and easy to understand and we were on our way within 15 minutes of arriving. They provided a guide to come with us to make sure we were comfortable with the skis and then he stayed in the area to watch over us while we rode around on our own. Again, unexpected. Lockers were provided at no charge and they have a fresh water shower to rinse off when you return. Although I live close by and walked, there is free parking in the Marina as well.We were very pleased with the whole experience and will definitely be back again soon.

Absolutely loved this experience! The process was fairly quick. We did an hour for a total of $144 with tax. There is a $500 deposit required with either cash or card. But they let us know that would be back on your card within 2-3 business days. The instructor Harrison led a detailed and wonderful orientation about how to use the jet skis safely. He was awesome and helped us even out in the water. This place is great. They dont require a reservation and they have a lot of skis so your wait time wont be too long. Had an amazing experience! I had rent other places and this place is better than any order places. We can go out far into the water. And speed is what you are comfortable with. Need to check this place out.

I went to this place in a good mood and to have a great time! I was greeted by a not so friendly man working on the dock. The hourly rate is $99 an hour on the website. When I got there the guy told me it was $139 an hour plus a $500 deposit! I wanted to do 2 hours and he told me the only way to do that is if I did a tour. I couldnt just rent it for 2 hours. Also if you wanna go faster you have to pay more! I understand yea plus tax but a little more than $30 for gas for an hour? Thats a little ridiculous. Save your money like I did and go to another place like I did if you dont wanna get ripped off. I paid $100 an hour flat rate and no deposit.

Went with my girlfriend and had an amazing time looked at other places before going this is the best one out of all. They let you ride however within a big area and price isnt bad at all, are really cool people also ! Highly recommend for anyone looking to have fun on jet skis in Miami. Will definitely be coming back for years to come !

Had an incredible 2 hour tour of the Miami bay area with our family - 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. Pretty much one of the top highlights of our trip to Miami. Started off a little rough due to credit card processing issues but the owners did us right and we had a blast!

I am not a person who likes to give bad reviews so the fact that I am leaving you this one should say something, the person who interacted with us at first was straight out rude, but since we wanted to have a good time we tried to get past it, afterwards when we tried to book it he kept being rude and when my friends made a correction while filling out the paperwork he rudely threw the board that’s when we decided to leave as it was not worth it. On top of that as we were leaving he clearly said “Get out of here” which is absolutely unacceptable, so again this is not about crossing out a piece of paper is about the lack of customer service. We strongly recommend retraining your staff on their people skills.

Took my mates out from Australia on Sunday morning and we had a great time, took the tour - way better because you get to see more of Miami (restricted areas on your own) .Our guide was calm and great, letting us open the taps at times and really have some fun! All in all a great experience.
