Great experience. I decided Friday afternoon to rent a boat for Saturday. They contacted me with an available boat immediately and walked me through the whole process. When I arrived Saturday they were extremely helpful and did exactly what they said they would do. They also immediately credited my deposit back, which was helpful. Ordered a Groupon for my husbands birthday. They weather was terrible they of - raining all day. I was told I was given a credit later to use the voucher. When it came time to use it they kept saying that size boat was out of commission until when we called they flat out told us they wouldn’t honor the voucher. Scam. Was was suppose to have been a great experience turned out to be a complete waste of money.

Avoid this scam. We booked a boat 5 days in advance but it was our fault they didnt even have this boat in the water. Theres big bold letters on the website that says you should call ahead. I hand him my phone to show me the big bold letters It took him a minute to find. He then proceeded to offer me a more expensive option for 2.5 hours from that time. Not only did he tell me he would delete any bad review I leave but also thanks for the deposit money because Im not getting it back. Ive sent two emails to the company asking for my deposit money with no replies. I wasted an entire day in Miami beach because they dont even have booking software, just a little kiosk in the corner near the restrooms with a grumpy dude who doesnt want to be bothered.

We rented a boat for a post business meeting water cruise. After a long day of meetings, we were able to grab a pontoon boat and motor around the different islands in the intercoastal waterway with our clients. As it approached sunset, our guests had a nice red, white and rose toast to the setting sun.Super great team. Great boats. Fast, prompt service. And, we closed 2 very large deals as a result. :)This is my second time to rent with AWS. The first time a few years ago was a romantic power boat cruise through the intercoastal. Ill be back. So, come check them out!

Me and my friends had an AWESOME time on the 55 foot azimut yacht!! It was my first time on a yacht but it was such a wonderful experience and I cant wait to do it again next year!! Absolutely recommend it. From the booking to the actual charter, everything was so well organized and the staff was so pleasant and responsive.

Quite dissatisfied with the service. left with a boat and saw that the gas was low, after I paid in advance for the gas. so I called them, and they said that there is definitely enough gas for your trip so I left. On the way we ran out of gas in the middle of the water. After spending 20 min waiting for gas to arrive I was not offered neither an apology nor a compensation which was horrible.....

Had a great experience yesterday when renting a boat from American Watersports. Nancy was extremely friendly and informative while walking us through the whole process, and made us feel safe. Marcos was also super sweet while guiding us on how to drive the boat, where to go and what to avoid. I would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Rented a boat from this place this past Saturday from 2-6pm and I gotta say that was the highlight of the weekend trip to Miami, the guys that worked at the dock I think (Eric and forgot the other dudes name) were awesome, very professional and courteous, gave us a crash corse on boating let us go have fun. Will definitely rent again from these guys next time we come down.Ps: the suggestion for some after hours entertainment was on point. Thanx fellas

Be careful with they tell you to pay $200 deposit schedule your rental and then when you arrive they let you know about the $1500 deposit which I didn’t have time to get because I HAD NO IDEA then I was told no refunds on down payment. Adam was very rude and told me I should have clicked on frequently asked questions to know about deposit! What a rip off and discriminators

This place is awesome! We went out for a day trip and it was a super easy process. Only had to sign some papers, and the boats are really nice! Our driver was Arliz and she was super knowledgeable on the best places to go and her driving kept me at ease, as I am generally nervous on small boats. Will surely be here again in the near future!

It was a lovely boat trip. Comfortable conditions. We looked great places. The captain was very kind and showed us all the best on the coast. Our friends were very pleased with the trip and the fact that we invited them to ride a boat. My wife has a great mood thanks to this walk.

Absolutely love this place! My family and I came down to Miami Beach for the weekend to escape the cold weather and the AWS family welcomed us with open arms. We rented the pontoon driven by Captain Marcos. The manager Eris hospitality was outstanding! We cannot wait to come back down to Miami and charter with them again. Its our third time renting with AWS. We absolutely love them! We still dont feel completely comfortable driving the boat ourselves so we hire a driver. They didnt any captains available with such short notice, so one of the girls from the crew jumped in and offered to take us. Nancy was great! we didnt have battery, so she played the music WE wanted from her phone, took us to these amazing local spots, gave us a tour of the area and then took us to a small island (Picnic Island) We loved it! She took pictures of us, took us to eat at a restaurant in the Miami River and even though it rained towards the end we had a blast! Thank you guys!

Arrived in Miami and made a last minute decision to rent a boat. The staff at American Watersports was accommodating and had excellent recommendations for exactly what my kids were seeking, celebrity homes and swimming. Marcos and Eris were so helpful, that we decided to go back for a second day. On day 2, Marcos and Eris greeted us like old friends. A 3rd staff member, Allen was also there and was just as accommodating. All 3 guys were incredible interacting with my 4 kids, and I appreciate that the most. Thank you .

I do not usually write reviews but felt as one was needed here. Boat is in close to disrepair condition but does float fairly good. Deposit is $1,500. Process is fairly simple and just a bunch of paperwork after which they walk around the boat with you. If they tell you on website that they have a promotion, dont expect to receive the promotion there as we did not upon completion of the requirements (10% off after the Facebook check in). Parking is tricky, even if you follow their instructions your car might just get towed away and the staff would not help you with it, rather than just leave you to deal with it by yourself.I think that for the $750/6hr it is way overpriced. If you need a GPS, you are way better off with a good iOS or Android app on your phone, which shows you where the shallow waters are. From our experience it is spot on with the mapping and sonar depth finder, so use it with no fear of it being too far off.Would I recommend this place? Not necessarily. Would not go out of my way to discourage either, due to lack of experience with other rental places in the same setting. However, I do believe that there are much better rental options out there if even they are at some premium or same pricing. Youd expect them to give a discount to get customers during time it should be packed but they have lack of customers due to covid, not take the promotion on the website and just say we not doing it due to covid.Are boats well maintained? Not from visual perspective, no.Is all the safety equipment there (horn, extinguisher, life jackets)? Yes.Do you need GPS and depth finder? No with a good iPhone or Android app. (plenty out there)Would I recommend to take a boat out? Absolutely. Check out sandbars while you are at it.Would I come back to this rental facility? Negative.Hopefully this review is decent enough for you to make your own decision. As I mentioned, not a discouragement but a fair warning.Edit: as I saw that they responded with denial of rental, I can show transactions with their business name to anyone who would like to see them, as everything written here is a good representation of our experience. I am 100% certain of renting with said company as well as that the boat was in disrepair. No confusion here. Downgrading this to 1 star as of now since they are claiming I have not rented. I’d be happy with my money refunded if I did not rent from this facility.Edit2: if you read their response to some other 1 star reviews and see what they are saying under mine, they contradicting themselves. 18’ boat doesn’t have GPS, yet here they claim all of them have GPS. Their website also shows that they do not have GPS on that. Like why lie?
