I have been at Summit Place for 6 years today! I have never had any issue that wasn’t resolved quickly. Maintenance is quick and on top of getting everything done efficiently. The office staff are always courteous and help you anytime you need it. I love the package room idea that was implemented last year. It makes it a lot easier to get your packages when the office isn’t open. The cleanliness of the property and constant upkeep of the grounds is always a plus. I wouldn’t be here 6 years later if I didn’t feel safe or feel safe having my kids here. It’s been a joy to call Summit Place home.

This is a very nice community, feels luxurious and safe. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. Danielle makes you feel right at home. The apartments are well maintained, maintenance is usually super quick. I like that packages are stored in the package room and accessible 24/7. Same as the gym. Balcony is spacious, cant wait for the summer. Ceiling is higher than a typical apartment, which is great. The only minor improvement I would like to see is to have trash disposal closer to the buildings. Everything else is amazing! I highly recommend this place!

Very nice apartment community. Clean and well maintained. Nice amenities and nice people. Our neighbors were very nice and very friendly and respectful. Most pet owners do a great job cleaning after their pets. No drama and no craziness. The office staff are always available and very professional and helpful. I would rent there again. We’ve lived her over a year and plan to renew!! We love it!.. editing this review and dropping 2 stars, last night our car was broken into (we accidentally left it unlocked so we are somewhat responsible) but contacting the office today and all they said was to call Methuen police. You would think they would care for the safety of their residents and their property and install camera’s, especially for the price we pay. Very upsetting.

Maintenance workers are professional and friendly.I feel safe living here which is very important. Tenants greet each other, yet you still have your privacy. The landscaping is beautiful. Summit Place has been great. The staff is all super friendly, and out place is perfect. We love the location since it is near the highway, and we like our little spot on the hill. I have lived near by most of my life and remember when these apartments were built, so im glad they are nice inside. The central air is great, the balcony we have is awesome, and it is near the end of January and i havent had to turn on the heat yet! (Yay for being in the middle!) aside from some people who dont follow the rules, i have no complaints. Love it here!

Review №28

I have been a resident here for just over a month. My initial experience seeing the place and touring with Danielle (in the office) was good, she was/is very professional and follows up and all. However that’s where things end for me outside of some contact I have had with Debbie in the office, who has been pleasant, although ineffective, with solving my reported issues.I moved here because it was supposed to be Luxury ( it looks it, from the outside) and it’s 12 minutes from my job. I love the view from my porch and Methuen as a town is great, however I am having concerns about the property and management thereof. They seem to care very little about the tenants or at least about me.After moving in, (2nd or 3rd day) I noticed a bothersome odor that would not go away in one of my bathrooms, it was disgusting; The toilet was a bit discolored too, so I went out and bought a bunch of cleaning supplies and cleaned it. Still the smell remained. I then, complained and asked them to replace the toilet or something. What happened next was NOTHING – they told me they want to ensure that its not toilet rings /seals or the seat before replacing the toilet itself, meanwhile offering no relief to a newly occupied tenant (who mind you is paying 2050 per month!) and who had NO FAULT in creating this smell! I was a bit mad, but understand cost savings albeit at my expense it seems.SO I said Ok, let me be reasonable and put up with the stink for another few days, and then still nothing happened. I then answered an email they sent me to ask how was the service – where I told them the truth about my unhappiness. This prompted a call from Debbie (I was glad to hear from) who told me that she was disappointed that I had not been better taken care of (this sounded good and made me feel better but this is all) and that she would have them come by tomorrow and replace the toilet seat. I said Ok, the next day came and I got off work, and went home, and it seemed like they came in and took the toilet seat from one bathroom and put it in the other one, (Switched them) I say this because the smell left one bathroom and now resides in the other one, Instead of just removing the toilet seat from my apartment all together!!!Leaving the tenant to deal with this type of thing is NOT luxury and NOT what I would expect for any caring apartment management or maintenance service.I am now so frustrated that I don’t even want them in my unit, I plan to just buy and replace the toilet seats myself, and fix the door myself. since I have had so much trouble just to get treated right here. Its simply not worth the continued interaction.I have also asked over 1.5 weeks ago for a sliding closet door that opens to my washer and dryer area to be fixed – as my understanding is that it was like that when I moved in, (I told maintenance about this in person outside of my apartment, and they described to me the problem in great detail, indicating a PRE-EXISITING knowledge of the unit and problems in the unit, which I thought was good that they knew the property like that YET they never came by and fixed it!!!) I put in a request formally about 2 weeks after this, and its now been another week since then (at least) and nothing has been done!SO instead of constantly reaching out to them and getting no where, I am writing this review for potential tenants to see what I as a new tenant am REALLY actively going through with this management team.

Worse place I have ever rented from. I have made multiple noise complaints as I dont usually complain and nothing is solved. I am pregnant with an 8 Year old child at the moment and having to deal with inconsiderate neighbors. This has been going on for 2 months and I am stressed to the fullest! Also I have had police call me regarding someone going through my car and them finding my information in a stolen car and was told from the front desk it was my fault, not professional at all with management! I could go on about this place but Im exhausted.. 7 months pregnant and listening to my neighbors at the moment and it is 10p.m. I would give negative stars on this place by how we are treated when we just call and ask for help on our frustrations. I mean we pay more than a mortgage for this place and they act like we are the problem! FAR FROM LUXURY!!!! I have been here for 8 months now and I cant wait to get out! Problem is Im too close to my delivery date to pack up and leave. Worse experience to be in at this moment in my life. And please dont put thank you for your concerns and call because that will be a lie, we havent had help yet. Management is not sympathetic at all when it comes to there renters.

Beware of management practices at this facility! After two years of living here, we were hit with outrageous move out costs. Management is clearly looking to line the company pockets by assessing costs at your end of lease. Despite two years of normal wear and tear, dog fees amounting to nearly $1500 and paying $130 for a cleaning service through management, we were hit with carpet replacement costs of nearly $600! There is no way the average person has the time to contest these costs during a busy moving schedule. They are counting on that. I will say that during the two years management was at times helpful and reasonable. But other times maintenance was poor and declined over time, no doggie bags (what exactly are those dog rent fees for again?) was a good excuse for people to not pick up. The final hit was enough for me not to recommend this apartment complex in what would be an otherwise neutral review.

Over the years I have lived in many apartments and I can honestly say this is the very best one! The staff is very helpful and trustworthy, which is important. The apartment itself is beautiful.. and while the rent is higher than I wanted to pay, it really is due to the market, and it is definitely worth it... and not the highest rent I saw compared to others I saw in this area. (I moved in about 8 months ago).It is the closest thing to a house or condo while still being in an apartment home, which is important to me. It has a full washer/dryer as well as central air and dishwasher, and garbage disposal. It has high ceilings and tons of windows with a lot of sunlight! And the building is so well insulated the utilities are not high. Also it has so many beautiful flowers, trees and bushes it is like a garden. And song birds .. so important.. and there are parks and a beautiful view. The grounds are wonderful to walk .. it is a friendly community.. and the best part is it is extremely dog friendly.. I was sad to see many apartments are not nowadays.. everyone is kind and courteous and so are their dogs! There is even a dog park!I have not used the amenities like the pool and gym/workout room yet. But they are beautiful and so is their clubhouse.. I actually have seen many apartments over the years and would definitely recommend this one.Its also very quiet, clean and well kept. Its perfect for me .. and would be great for anyone who chooses an apartment home over a house.Lots of children which I love and the bus stop is right in front of the leasing office.Plenty of parking and great security .. cameras and lighting at night.. which again is very important these days. Also the dogs are the best security.. even ADT (I had them when I had my house) says dogs are better .. even the littlest ones 😄And every apartment has a patio or balcony with a sturdy railing and plenty of space. They also have tenant movie nights and get togethers which is so nice.. especially when you work a lot or arent from the area. And they have key cards which allow you to use the workout equipment 24/7.They also allow you most basic freedoms which should be granted in the USA.. and seem to be difficult to find in other apartments..like having pets and being able to smoke cigarettes if you choose. Again this is a very well built insulated building.. only 10 or 11 years old so there arent noise or odor issues. And they keep it very clean and well managed.Maintenance issues are almost always answered and resolved the same day.. when they come up. And again they are competent and trustworthy. So important!I am not big on posting reviews .. but this one was easy. And blessing Summit Place was the least I could do. This is the best place for living a healthy and balanced lifestyle in every way.And the kitchen is great.. walk in closet and good sized rooms.. comfortable and safe..no place is perfect.. but this is close..and in my eyes it really is.

Moving to Summit Place was a great choice for my wife and I, Great Location. Residence since 2011! The previous management company, Dolben Management, (before Lincoln) were fantastic! Definitely one of the BEST Management companies out there! Seriously, they had great people working at the club house. Very welcoming, Willing to help with anything without making you feel uncomfortable or an inconvenience. Going above and beyond, People who truly care about their Residents. They truly made their Residents feel like family...Its now 2014-2016 and we experienced a management change, (Lincoln Management) one of the worst group of professionals. The staff at the club house are in the wrong field of business, the way they conduct their business is unprofessional and illogical. They have lost sight that people LIVE here, and are laughing (at the expense of others) all the way to the bank. They do not reason with the residents. They do not communicate well with residents either. They are selfishly motivated. Every time you turn around there is a new change and a fee that goes with that change. They nickel and dime you every step of the way. And you can count on your rent going up a least $100-$200 a month every year you renew your lease.Police monitor the area closely. There have been more frequent break-ins in apartments since Lincoln took over. Car theft has been an ongoing issue since the beginning. Never leave anything in your car here.Maintenance crews take forever in returning your request for maintenance to be done and they dont actually fix the problems when they are here. Also, you can count on them taking forever to respond emergency situations. They took hours to respond to reports of a gas smell. One night a pipe burst in the basement and no one answered the emergence maintenance line to help the fire department. We waited outside in an ice storm for over an hour. And no one showed. No acknowledgement from management about what was being done for clean up either or about the absentee maintenance staff in the event of an emergency. And should you smell gas in common areas? Maintenance staff will take forever in responding to your calls if at all.Common spaces are never cleaned. For example the carpets have been cleaned once since they took over management. And if you chose to go to the pool in the summer be prepared for people who dont live there to be using the pool more than residents.Trash areas? So gross. People dont utilize the trash compactor appropriately. And maintenance will not maintain that area so it is workable for residents Recycling is always over flowing. This place is a money pit, your responsible for all the expenses except for the trash. Electricity, Gas, Sewer, Water, Heat, HVAC, Cable, Internet, ect. So if throwing away your money is good with you then this is the place for you!

Ive lived here for nearly 3 years. My apartment had a fantastic view which is the main reason I chose to go with it. For the first year or so, it was managed by Dolben, who did a decent job keeping up with everything. Youd regularly see maintenance around doing whatever it is they do. Then Lincoln came in and things changed for the worst all around...I have a dog, and there is literally no place around my building where I can take him that isnt already littered with other dogs waste. Even next to the stations that are placed around with a poop-bag dispenser and garbage barrel. While I realize this is the fault of the dog owner, management has been abysmal when it comes to cleaning up. Before the snow fell, there was dog waste on the ground that had been there for months. Why do they charge $65/month for a dog with this kind of lackluster upkeep?Since Lincoln has taken over, there have been a number of gas issues in our building. One resident moved out and there was a strong smell of gas coming from the vacant apartment and numerous calls were made to management and after an entire day, management finally looked into it. Same thing happened again 2 weeks ago, ended up calling the fire department instead as management hadnt responded in over 3 hours.Common areas in the buildings lack cleanliness. The cleaning crew (1 old woman) would come to our building once every 2 weeks and vacuum just the bottom floor. Just to test my theory, I left a small piece of crumpled paper in the hallway (3rd floor) and it was there for 6 months! There were dead ants and other litter accumulating on the floor as well. Turns out, many residents have complained about the same thing and a new crew was finally put in.There is no trash pick-up service offered. You are required to bring your trash down to the dumpster at the entrance of the complex. Not a big deal, but 90% of the time the trash area is an absolute disaster. People dont both throw their trash in the dumpster, instead its just left on the ground and other people follow suit to the point where its a trash mound and is like that for days on end. Maintenance doesnt pick up, they wait for the town to do it.Mail is a nightmare. Constantly getting other residents mail and vice versa. UPS/FedEx dont bother to dial the keypad to your apt and just leave the package at the office. Management does nothing to notify you and is always annoyed when I go to pick up a package as though its my fault.Police are roaming the area on a daily basis and crime rate appears high. Always hearing of cars being broken into and apartments being broken into as well. More often than not, I see police cruisers with their lights on speeding up the hill at night. Due to the city view, people often park their cars and do whatever you think they might. Walking by hypodermic needles and used condoms is not unusual. While there are no elevators in my building, I did enjoy my apartment. It was quiet for the most part. My only other gripe is that this apartment is portrayed as luxury. I disagree. The floor plans are unique and the ceilings are high and the bathtubs are big. Thats about it as far as luxury. Its wall to wall carpeting with laminate flooring every where else. No tiles or hardwood. They wont update your apartment as long as youre living in it. The appliances are old, the toilets are round, and it is definitely not worth the asking price. (Im actually still waiting to hear back about a part for my dishwasher that is needed to stop a loud vibrating during the drying cycle. ~10 phone calls and 9 months later, I am still waiting.) There are far better places for the same or less cost. Be prepared to have your rent go up about $100 each year too.Overall, I did enjoy the view of my apartment. In home washer and dryer and central air were also nice. However, the illusion of luxury (and price tag paired with it), abysmal maintenance, rude staff, and unkempt grounds are the reason why Im not renewing again this year.

The model shown to me was NOT at all what they gave me on the day i was suppose to move in. I agreed, signed the lease and gave them my deposit on a two spacious size bedroom, normal size kitchen and bathrooms which was base on the model shown to me twice before the moving date. My moving day was a horror show. I was given a HANDYCAP accessable apartment which was totally different than what I saw in the model apartment. They made two large size bathrooms which took away the size of the bedrooms and closet space. Pretty much a postage stamp size rooms, of which my two children had to share. When I went back to see the manager and ask of another apartment available for me to move into, I was shocked by a non sympathatic and there was no appologies made to me of the mistake they admit they made and was told one would be available within 60 days but cannot gurantee it. They also admit they were unaware it was for a handycap accessable apartment. The manager and his assistant who BTW was not able to find the apartment in the first place were so unprofessional and rude. I couldnt believe what i was hearing. The management was so poor and so unprofessional. I was in tears .It was the worst day of my life. Who makes that kind of mistake? so thank the Lord for Mothers, living with her till then.so please beware! check the exact apartment youll be living in before you pack your bags.
