I was in need of a pedicure very badly. Called April’s nails because they we one of the few open around here because of the storm. They had an available appointment this afternoon. I went it and was greeted warmly and received an above average pedicure. The ladies were all very sweet and accommodating. I will be back.

I brought an idea in and they did exactly what I wanted!! My experience at April’s nails was amazing — both the owner and his mother were so, so sweet! I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who asked

CAME IN AT 11:30–DIDN’T LEAVE UNTIL 2:30 FOR A MANI/PEDI—NEVER AGAIN. WANT MY MONEY BACK.Called ahead 2 hours before my visit asking if they could handle a 2 person walk-in appointment around 11/11:30 am—was told yes. Never informed that they were short staffed. Arrived on time for the appointment (beat my friend there by 5 minutes) and was informed that “I better not have any plans for the day because (she) was going to take awhile because (she) owed the shop and she never expected to be busy on Mondays…” because even though she had opportunity to tell me she only had one nail tech on duty (only one person in then whole salon—) and she couldn’t handle two clients at once, she tried to pretend that she could handle it.She made a point to pay attention to me whileIgnoring my friend who’s was also booked for services at the time and made it very awkward for us. I finally had to speak up to get her to acknowledge my friend just to even run water for her to soak her feet….While the nail tech worked on my full set, my friend felt like she was being held hostage because the tech refused to cash her out or even check if her services were over—after mentioning she had other obligations to attend to and needed to leave multiple times. The tech clearly did not care.By about this time, it was almost 1:30 and my nails weren’t even halfway done. I felt trapped. The nail tech kept talking trash about her old places of work, and trash talking blacked people—saying that they were “very picky and very rude” and “she didn’t understand why”. She thought they were prejudice “…because she was an older Asian woman and they didn’t appreciate how hard she worked.”I sat patiently feeling trapped just wanting to end this hell of my mani/pedi session. Finally around 2:30 she finished up and told me I was done. For both pedis and gel mani it was a total of $115 before tip, but I will never go back.It hasn’t even been 2 I’ll days and my nails are already breaking—my nails are not to satisfaction and already breaking not even two days after I went to the salon. Do NOT go see Moon. Do NOT go on Mondays and DO just end the session right there if you are dissatisfied with your services because you have a tech who refuses to do what you ask. A tech who holds you hostage for hours to tell you a sob story and receive sub par services.

I tried this place on the recommendation of a friend who has been going for years. One of the best pedicures Ive had. Small business with great service. Will be there this weekend for my next pedi!

They are a small business but big on service.
