I came for a simple set and 2 accent nails and got literally the worst work Ive ever had done..firstly, he put tips on some nails and some kept some natural nails which do not match lengths, and when I pointed it out, he kept saying they would come out fine. (They did not) and I kept reminding him, but got the same answer.Then I told him I wanted glitter accent nails (as in dipped, which I told him and showed the pic, he said he understood.)I saw him still putting the pink dip powder. I asked why if he was supposed to do glitter dip. He said he will, just wait. I was patient thinking I was trusting the process because I have never complained in my life. I usually deal with it when something isnt perfect. But this set was so far off I had to speak up..after he used pink dip he used a glitter gel POLISH over the accent nails..Which of course was Patchy and not what I wanted (see pics for example)I asked him to redo just the accent glitter nails and he caught an attitude.My nails were also never cleaned around the edges or was I asked to wash my hand to clean up the sloppy excess.I also know for a fact he understood what I wanted because he brought the dip to me before I started and I told him that was perfect. The dip was sitting next to him the whole time and I wondered why he wasnt using it. I also asked if I could have a refill on my white wine since I was having to wait longer for the redo and he said they were out in an ugly tone and didnt even look up at me when I spoke.but as soon as he walked away I was offered a refill by another worker of my white wine. Overall I cant believe the set I came home with, I gave up on correcting him and took what I had, paid, and left. I wont be back, and its sad because I loved this salon. But not only do I feel like the job was bad but I felt unwanted after speaking up for needing something corrected.

Same day, two nails were bendy seems like the product wasnt cured correctly and cracked. My pinky nail is pointing to the left, other nails are miss shaped and there is gunk and glue under my nails. Dont be fooled be the appearance of the place or the name. Nothing luxurious here.

Hana did an excellent job on my pedicure. I was very satisfied with her work. Very sweet lady. I will be back and ask for her specifically!

I went to this place 3 different times. First time was a long wait but nails were just ok.. they really gossip to each other which makes the wait even longer.I went back for a fill and my powder nails were destroyed . My nails were thick with no shape and he kept adding polish because he couldnt do the design. My nails looked like a clumpy mess..I eventually was able to get the freshly filled set OFF.. since it it is Mother Day weekend I thought I would give it one last try and use another person.. I got coffin nails with a cheetah design and the charges me $73 for what?????Full set $40Plastic nails $3Shape nails $5Cheetah design on 6 fingers $25This place is ridiculous and the price gougeSTAY AWAY or be thoroughly disappointed and taken advantage off!!I would add pictures if I could!

Overall I was happy that my toes looked better now than they did before I come in. I paid 75$ for a pedi + gel polish and to be honest I didn’t see much of a difference in my feet as far as dead skin. I have been to places and paid 30$ for a a pedicure and was pleased. I just wanted to try it out and after letting her convince me to pay 75$ and I didn’t even get my shoulder rub as advertised but i will not go again

I had Hana and she did an amazing job. She gave me what I asked for I even asked for shorter and that is what I got. I definitely will be coming back again.

Nails are ugly. The tip on the nails is clearly crooked. He was rushing and the gel polish did not set. I’m not sure how a tech gets frustrated when you ask for something as long as you are paying. They want you to get what they recommend and get mad when you don’t. I wish I could put 0 starts, but the 1 is for the small bottle of waiter they gave me.

This place was extremely disappointing… I came in for a shellac manicure and they gave me a gel manicure… I had to remove my dip set and my nails were extremely flimsy… when I said something they said no this was what I was asking for that my nails would be fine…this lady Loan rushed through the set cut my finger when filing… left my nails all uneven (I wish I was kidding) she didn’t even ask me what shape I wanted… and I paid $42 for what?! For my gel manicure to chip and bubble not a day after my visit… what a waste of money and time since it literally took 2 hours to get this done… do not go here… just horrible

I waited an hour for service.They do not have individual nail stations, rather long tables where they sit everyone right next to each other.The nail tech did good, I just dont understand this break down of pricing at all.They rush you to pay in the middle of service, so I didnt notice the ridiculous pricing until after she brought back a receipt.I asked for an acrylic set with design.Their websites states a full set is $28 which usually includes the nail tips.I was charged for a refill solar set, tips and to cut down, this should all be included in the set.I will not be back, they should be more transparent with pricing.

Kim did my nails. She was very helpful and personable plus showed me photos of her nail designswork. I also got the deluxe pedi with lemon, hot rocks and detox. It was very relaxing. They stayed past closing to make sure our services were fully completed..

Nice nail bar and they keep it pretty clean, but the nail tech literally drilled my cuticles off. I was bleeding!!!! The color powder I selected appeared to be old and lumpy looking. And the tech was just going to pile it on and let me leave, I had to stop him and say do you see how this looks? It was not the worst experience I have had, but this place does tend to get busy and rushed. Wish we could do half stars.

Went a month ago to get my nails done. The nails that were glued were not as wide as my natural nails. When they came off, they damaged my nails so bad!! The pressure made my nails crack through the middle. They’re so thin now, they even hurt if I press on them. Im embarrassed to upload a picture because they look so horrible ! I can’t paint them because literally everything hurts my nails. I warned y’all…

I usually have a good experience here, however this time I didnt. My nail tech didnt clean up under my nails, I have a crooked nail, and a gap under one on them. I am not happy this time around. I am going to try and go back to see if they can fix this.

My mother had 3 brain surgeries and almost died a month ago… it was her birthday yesterday and she asked to get her nails done so I took her here even though she still has some confusion and was worried about people looking at her weird behind her new disability….. the nail tech was very patient, respectful, and understanding! The man at the desk which I think is Tony the manager was very nice and I can tell he understood the situation. That kind of service goes along way when people are going through hard times! Thanks again!

Take your business elsewhere. You never find the same nail technicians. I had a girl today who messed up my nail polish three times! I paid for a 15 minute massage and she only massaged my legs for 10. Very little effort to scrub. Did not cut down my nail until I asked her to. Did not take out my ingrowns even thought I asked her to. And sprayed all over my feet with the nail polish dryer. The manager did not even acknowledge my discontent.

Everything was good until paying...the lady a t the front desk was so freaking rude! No smile and a whole attitude! Not sure who she thinks she is, but she must not realize that we....the paying customer are the reason shes sitting there taking our money! Instead of trying to look all boushy, she needs to work on her smile and attitude!

Worst nail place by far. I went in asking for a short acrylic white set. No one wanted to attend me because i didnt want dip. once the manager forced an employee, she still put dip after i told her many times i wanted acrylic. she charged me $3 for nail tips and $5 for long set, along with $40 for dip. the shape was awful to say the least. she didnt even let me wash my hands and the monomer was so sticky. i complained to the manager that my set wasnt even long and he practically laughed in my face. worst experience by far.i also thought it was normal for you nails to be sore after you get them done but it only ever happens with those cheap products salons use. i would suggest trying local nail techs, you can find so many cheaper and WAYYYYY better work with home based nail techs. Find them on instagram!!

I hated how my nails came out. I got already four of my fingers infected. I never had this happen before.Please don’t go here it’s nasty.I will be reporting them as well.

It was okay I thought it would be more of an experience but I just got my nails and toes done its a nail shop not a spa nail shop so it was just okay for me also the manager (the one telling everyone what to do and where to go ) was HELLA rude i said I wanted gel and then switched to powder he told me nah you bout to get stabbed in your head for real as he was holding a pen in his hand so if ever i do return to this shop Ill definitely be bringing my husband with me

Ok, u went to lux nail and bar today to get my nails and toes done. The guy that did my nails was amazing, but the girl that did my toes was horrible. I sat in the chair waiting for her, and when she greeted me, she asked me if I was pregnant ( granted I had a baby 8 months ago) but you dont ask that. She turned the water on and burned my feet. Then she asked me how I want my feet done, I told her I wanted a French pedicure, and she said ok. She knicked me twice and made me bleed, she had the machine turned up too high and when she touched my nails it was so painful I flinched. Finally when the pedicure was over, I got my bill and went to talk to the manager. I was charged $15 for gel, when I didnt even want gel or was even asked if I wanted gel. And I asked them about a $10 charge that didnt even have a detail on the receipt as why I was being charged a extra $10. And when I told the manager she didnt do anything, she said I had to pay for it because it was on me. So I paid and left. I would love the owner to contact me, and I would love my $25 dollars back that I was overcharged. Go anywhere else but here!

Thomas did a wonderful job on my dip nails so I came back to get the pedicure today!! So far Im loving the whole place the serve drinks and give great service. They have thousands of colors mesquite really needed a good nail shop Ive been to most and theyre horrible by now not many colors and a quick get out of here service. But Im definitely happy about this nail shop.

I set an 11am appointment with Steven, I tried to set it for 11:30 but the lady at the desk said 11 would be better bc that’s when they open . I get to my appointment 5 min early no one is there to even open the store and of course there is already a line and it’s raining. I wait til every one gets settled in and then the manager asked who has an appointment. I tell her I have an appointment with Steven and she says well he’s not here... I asked do you know when he will be and she just said he’s not here. So I left this was so unprofessional and I MADE AN APPOINTMENT 3 days in advance. The first time I went to them my nails didn’t even last, I was just going to try a different tech because he was recommended . After today I will never come back or recommend anyone else to do so.

I just left this place and came in for a pedicure. I previously had gel polish so she had to remove it, she did so by filing off some of it with the drill and then soak off with acetone. She proceeded to file down some more with the drill until polish was off. She filed down so much on my toe nail that it stated bleeding in the middle of buffing. I was so disappointed with the service she tried to say it wasn’t her but hello my toe nail was not bleeding prior to this. At this point my toe is hurting and is very sensitive clearly i am unable to put polish on it. I was very disappointed with this service and place.

I am not normally someone who does anything special with her nails. Recently I had a formal event I attended and needed to so something with my nails. For a novice in doing this type of thing, this was the place for me! They helped me get what I wanted with patience and professionalism. And they were very affordable! I normally do not leave reviews, but I had to inform others of my experience. Lux nails is a very nice nail shop, but my experience was anything but nice. I now know why they have a 3.5 rating. My nail tech,Hanh Ped, did not do a good job. My manicure and pedicure were rushed and look awful. My nails were filed unevenly and just like other customers my polish is chipping after several hours. This being my third visit, I can honestly say that I do not recommend this shop and I will not be back.Hahn had great customer service skills, as do the other techs, according to the reviews. However,the lack of experience shows. Management/ownercan fill the seats everyday but eventually that will end,if you continue to have unsatisfied customers that give low ratings and horrible reviews. The goal should be to satisfy that first time customer so they can become a long time customer.

Overatted!!!!! They talk you into getting the higher service and nothing really different..Got dip set but she rushed the whole time..Asked to clean up and just cleaned up a lil bit...Then I realized after I got in car that she did not push back cuticles and cut them....I sure hope that isnt extra...Manager seems kool but they charge way more than they give..I will go back to my small shop..tried to do treat myself amd do luxury but nah...3 times is enough for me....

Service was great, staff was friendly but the neck wrap the used gave me a horrible rash that started on my neck and has since spread to my entire body.

The guy up at the front with earings, didn’t know what he was doing. He was all over the place. We told him to call because the wait was one hour long and he never called. I wanted a mani and pedi but he sat me to get my manicure first waited and was sitting lol who came after me when I could have gotten my pedicure first if it was going to be faster.

My nail tech was excellent, Kelly did just what I asked for. My daughter loved her nails as well. The service was above and beyond. The staff is great. The service is 10+.

The interior has deteriorated fast. The pedicure I received was just ok, the place I normally go was busy so I decided to give this place another chance. Not worth it.

Atmosphere nice manager seem cool . What I don’t like is that when u tip they tip every person that services you. That dosent mean that every person deserved that . Okay lesson learned I will tip individually.If you are paying for nails why have to pay to get them cut and why have to pay to get the tips of the nail added that’s part of the nail . So I payed $50 for ombré nails $3 plastic tips $5 to shape them me and my daughter and the nails are short . I really like this place cause of the atmosphere but I want be back. Pedicure was basic . And I paid for a deluxe. They squirt lime juice on your toes a little 10 massage and hot towels that’s basic nothing unique that’s $33 then they charge $15 just for glow in dark polish that’s 5 bottles of polish . I say that to say this those services should be included in the price of the service not as an additional fee. $42 tip . We want be back

Horrible experience yet again. I tried this nail shop out again for the second time. Got my nails done on a weekday. FOUR(4) popped off within a week. Staff is accommodating but only to a certain extent. The manager walks around the salon WITHOUT a mask and there is no social distancing. Will never go here again. Worst nail salon in the Dallas area. Period.

Furst time here.They were very full and noisy.. The pedi was completed before the mani even started and i had to ask several people when the mani would be done. Not as clean looking as Id expect - garbage bin overflowing at the sink that also looked dirty. Dirty stations.

My daughter and I went for a pedicure...first and last visit! polish was thick and clumped looked like a 2 yr old had painted my toes. Its a NO for me!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. It never fails when I get my nails done here that they do my nails poorly. I will not be coming back here for any service. Tammi did my nails this time and when I asked her to make a correction she would not fix it. Don’t waste your money here

First time I scheduled an appointment here and was disappointed. I got ombré nails which I have gotten before elsewhere and it took the nail technician more than an hour and a half just to do the ombré part. Other places they do it in an hour. Also she kept cutting my skin. I have cuts on almost every finger and when I would tell her she didn’t even apologize or say anything. I can’t remember her name but she was one of the older ladies there with short hair.

I paid 70 bucks for a pedicure and a requested glow Im the dark gel polish, I returned twice because the polish had no glow what so ever, also my pedicure was not great. When I returned to have this glow coating put on top of my nails, the technician removed layers of polish, and asked how long ago was the pedicure, it hadnt been 24 hours! So that tells you the technician did a horrible job. I went somewhere else and had another pedicure done and guess what, MY POLISH GLOWS!

The place is nice in elegance for a pamper moment 😁. My server was not as friendly, even though conversation is not required... she acted like she didnt want me to say anything to her at all 😳. But others were pretty welcoming. Nails and toes were cute.

Love the service, I’m so happy with my nails! I’m not the type that likes anything fancy, fake or complicated so I really was just looking to get my cuticles cleaned up and my natural nails painted. The manicurist was super nice and suggested I try gel nails, which I’m glad I did. They’re so shiny and glossy! I’m honestly very impressed with her work. I will definitely be back ❤️

This nail salon is so clean. Lily is the best at doing gel nails and I finally talked my hubby into getting a pedicure. Tony the manager is extremely nice and all the other employees are great as well. I have switched to Lux from now on. Compared to Forever Nails this place is tops above the rest. Will gladly be revisiting here always.

I had come to get a manicure and got them done by Amy the outcome turned out alright but my nails hurt and are really sensitive because of how much she drilled them. I had to pull away my hand because of how much she left it on one spot.

Im not going to say the experience was bad because everybody was real friendly and it looked like a clean environment very pretty owner came up and talked to me they give you free drinks too... However I was cut whenever I was getting my pedicure done which caused my toe to get infected and not just that but as you can tell my big toe which is also the toe that was cut the nail grew fungi in it.After 3 weeks of noticing it not getting better I went to a pediatrician which later told me that even if you see them open bags claiming to be new tools does not always mean they are he asked me did you watch them throw them out? I replied no he then said how do you not know that they are just rebagging the same tools? Which you really never do..Well Im just sharing my experience 😊 to help others in regards to this place.By the way my procedure cost 600$

The lady that serviced me rushed the pedicure didnt scrub my feet right. And I dont think the tools she used were clean because i got blisters on my feet after that day

Tony the manager on duty was extremely rude.He spoke to me really angry because I looked into the pedicure bowl I was about to use and said it’s clean even though it was not. He started speaking his native language disrespectful and telling me to get out of his salon. Of course I asked why he was so angry. He said because of how I looked in the bowl. I will never ever pay for any service at this salon again. The sad thing is all the other staff was kind.

The spaciousness of the place is nice, however the nail techs either or not very experienced or they do rush jobs. I wasnt very pleased on my first visit but decided to go back cause like I said the spaciousness is nice and maybe I just got a bad nail tech but after the second visit I will not be returning. The nails really dont look professional IMO. I feel like due to the place being big they have to hire a lot of techs to keep up with the amount of chairs they have to fill, but a lot of them appear to be inexperienced. Id rather go to a small basic nail salon and get quality work.

Made an appointment and still had to wait 45 minutes to be seated and another 10 or 15 for the tech to actually start .....nail tech very friendly and polite but did a horrible job showed her the mistakes she just made excuses why my nails looked like they did ..... every chair for mani and pedi full you are side by side like a can of sardines

The guy that did my nail was Michael, he did an okay job, my nails are pretty messy looking. He also cut my skin while he was filing it. He has a heavy hand. The service was great but the guy that did my nail was not that great.

Today I visited the lux nail bar I only went in for a pedi no polish change on my toes just a regular foot scrub and message my pedi was the fresh fruit with aloe Vira which was 47 bucks.... I sat down and waited about 10 mins for the guy to walk from the back he came out and started my pedi the guy asked me did I want the works I said no he asked me 10 more time I repeated each time no... he finally started my pedi and used the Calais scrubber on my legs I can not make this up the man said sorry mama and continued to do it I had to pull his hands off my leg the guy I had was Henry

Terrible place. They don’t communicate with you, they never have gel colors, don’t take in growns out and if you ask them they just cut cut your nail rather than cleaning it. They have no sense of urgency. Never going there again.

Update: decided to give them another chance since it’s so close to my house and they have a ton of different powders. I should’ve went with my first mind and went somewhere else it’s sad that the staff sits and talks about you in a different language right in front of you not only did she cut me she sat and laughed about it with the guy next to her. They sat and laughed and talked about me and my mom the entire time! I will never be back yes I love my nails but I also value places who actually value ALL of their customers not just certain ones. Customer service is terrible I seriously don’t advise anyone going hereVery unprofessional walked in and waited to be greeted or even acknowledged by the staff no one said one thing to us but kept looking at us waited 10 mins and left. I visited the salon today for a pedicure and I’m a little concerned. The man that did my toes dug really far into the corner of my big toe and it started bleeding..and it now hurts, and you can still see blood.I would also like to comment on the professionalism of the man that walks around shouting/singing/saying anything he wants. I believe he’s the manager. He cusses and tries to hit on women in there..asking people to tip him, asking for sugar mommas and it’s just unprofessional. Women go get their toes done to relax, not to be hit on..I won’t visit here again.

I am not satisfied with my nails. To charge 68.00 you would think my nails would be detailed, neat etc. They arent. I shouldve went to my go to but only reason I came again yesterday, August 8 2020, Saturday was because my kids dad brought us and its closer. You would think they would be topnotch but they only average. Refund would be nice and good business .

We placed our name on a waiting list and were told sm one wld call us in an hour. We returned in an hour asking the fr desk person whats our place on the waiting list, as he & I both looked at the log he replied I called you then looked again & said no i didnt call you. (but names below our name on the logg were checked off). Clearly We were skipped & others were being serviced before us. After a while From afar patrons cld hear The fr desk agent using foul language he kept saying smthing my a**. It was quite unsettling. Also, We seemed to be lingering without service while waiting for the pedicures. Lux used to be a favorite nail shop not anymore.

Tony, the manager is so unprofessional. He cursed and got extremely loud and ignorant when I calmly told him on a sidebar that my daughters nails were streak. He was very irate and although I kept telling him he was causing a scene...he said thats what he does. I WILL NEVER ever step foot in this establishment again.

My nails didnt turn out that great but that is totally all my fault by choosing the awful color I had chosen to apply to my toes as well as to my nails but everything else as far as customer service and very nice lighting and atmoshore

This place is the best ever!!! I go every other monday for my self care and they always take care of me!! Angie takes care of my dipped manicure and Tammy takes care of my pedicure!! Im never disappointed! Tony makes sure everything is smooth and actually knows my name lol! Justin is awesome he took very good care of me today and when I left my ear bud he called me to let me know so I wouldnt panic he is awesome! You must go there!!! One of my favorite places and the best nail salon by far!!!

I was talked about when I was getting my feet done but the prices was ridiculous . I paid to much money for a little of nothing . I will be going back to my nail tech which is Ashley’s nails in pleasant grove .

ABSOLUTELY love this place. Angie always does my nails and she never fails! everyone here is so nice! i don’t go anywhere else since i’ve found this place. always so clean inside. they take their time and make sure you’re happy and that your nails look great!

I get here at 9 am! They open at 9:30. I come in I was 1 of 3 ladies. I told them exactly what I wanted at 9:27. I did my pedicure was done by 10:55. I am now sitting here to get the second part of my service which I don’t feel is right seeing as that I was 1 of 3 ladies to be here first! Great place for service I just feel like I was an oversight through the entire process. First time here but will probably not recommend if you have things to do seeing as that you will be overlooked. P

My favorite, go-to, always reliable nail salon, excellent gel polish choices and quality!Lux Nail & Bar never disappoints!! They are very customer focused, professional, and friendly. The manager is a sweetheart and the techs are all great, very high quality!Mina is amazing and does excellent nail art!Everyone has a great attitude. Love this place! :D

New nail techs here only came in for pedi and it was RUSHED ! Very disappointed today with them.
