This was the most awful experience with a cremation service I could imagine. There was NO service here. My grandparents set up plans with this company several months ago. Today (Saturday), the hospice nurse and my grandmother were told this company would be unable to pick up my grandfather until MONDAY. When asked why, the first excuse to come out was the winter storm experienced this past week - but that is not a valid excuse given the roads have been cleared. Only THEN did they proceed to say their storage was full. When asked what we should do, they told us we should try contacting a different funeral home but refused to recommend any or contact any themselves to check around. The best they could do is sorry. There is no excuse for their lack of accommodation in this situation. We promptly removed my grandmother from their registration as we will not be using this company in the future. We will be actively recommending our friends and family avoid this company due to such poor integrity.UPDATE: Thank you to the owner for responding. HOWEVER, it was not only your lack of transparency but the fact your business was unwilling to provide any solutions other than call another funeral home. What I dont understand is how thats not YOUR job. How is it not YOUR job to ask around to see who else has room? And as for your comment about how my grandparents had only registered and hadnt paid or made full cremation arrangements, 1) that shouldnt have stopped you from helping us find alternative and 2) they didnt want to pay in advance, but they gave you their credit card number to have on file and the established plan was for you to make the charge after you came to pick either of them up. There was very well a plan. So maybe you didnt have a legal obligation to do anything since no money had yet been exchanged, but let me be clear that you DID have a moral obligation. So yes, I am upset. I am angry. You could have done more, and you failed to. You caused my family grief at the worst time in our lives, exactly as you said. Thats why my grandparents had made plans with you in the first place, to avoid having to worry about finding a funeral home when the time came, and you didnt offer ANYTHING to help when you couldnt do the job yourself. I encourage you to learn from this and, in the future, I hope any family that finds themselves in the same situation is provided with solid alternatives (for example, we called funeral homes x, y, and z, and x and z both have space and the ability to perform the services we arent currently able to provide). Do better. Be better.

Extremely professional and empathetic. You do not have to spend a fortune to get such care. The affordability is just an added benefit without any corners cut on respect for the deceased and their family. God bless these people.

When my brother was admitted to Hospice, I contacted aCremation to start making his final arrangements. They were recommended to me by a close friend. I found their service to be reasonably priced, prompt, easy to understand, and easy to access. Because everything is handled online or by phone, there are no appointments to make or traveling involved. I completed all of the paperwork online, at all hours of the day and night. Their prices are plainly listed on their web site, with no additional hidden charges. You pay for the basic cremation, any additional death certificates, and overweight charge if the deceased is over 250 lbs. I printed out their remains release form, and care cards and left them with the Hospice staff.When my brother passed, the Hospice contacted them directly and they were there in under an hour. The man arrived dressed in a suit and tie, very professional and compassionate. He completed all of the paperwork required by the hospice, allowed me time with my brother, and took possession of the remains. I was then sent the additional forms required to complete the process online. As they were preparing the remains, they discovered my brother was now under 250 lbs, and refunded me the overweight charge. I was very impressed by their honesty. After all the required forms were completed and they released the remains, it took 3 business days until I could pick up the ashes.I highly recommend aCremation to anyone seeking this service for their ease of use, reasonable price, honesty, rapid response, compassion, and attention to detail.

My experience with aCremation was Very Good actually Excellent. Both my mother and my father were attended by aCremation for their final directives.The directors who picked them up were truly respectful and caring individuals. My mother passed a year before my father. That was our first experience with ACremation. We were so very pleased with their service that my father wished for them to take care of him when its his time. My fathers body was draped in a American Flag as he was taken from his Assisted Living Center as he was a veteran. He didnt request a draped flag. That was totally unexpected and much appreciated! I would highly recommend aCremation to anyone and I plan to use them when my turn comes.

They handled a complicated situation with a lot of patience, that I appreciate. My only complaint is that they did not send me the death certificate, as was asked specifically. It was released to another family member and I was told to get my own copy, after. Its my right, as next of kin, to be sent the original dc as requested.

My mother was ill for several months before she passed in February of this year. I had contacted aCremation through their website and arranged for her care before she passed. It was all done online and I was given a quote minutes later on what the cost would be. Once she passed, I contacted them and they honored the quote even through it was months afterwards. They were very caring and compassionate when speaking to them on the phone. They answered all my questions and followed up with emails. I picked up remains were picked up about 3 1/2 weeks later. They gave me may different types of options on urns too. I was very satisfied with their service and would recommend them.

My experience with aCremation was EXEMPLARY!Being in San Francisco, CA, and my precious sister passing away in San Antonio, TX. during the heart of the Coronavirus pandemic, I was unable to go to Texas and make final arrangements. With all arrangements needing to be completed online from finding a service that had the ability to handle all aspects from picking up the remains, to direct cremation, shipping the ashes, and then filing all necessary paperwork and doing so in a timely manner at reasonable rates was an undaunting task.As I recall aCremation was my second phone call late at night and this amazing lady on the other end of the line assured me, I had made the Right Call. Her patience, professionalism, and caring tone of voice told me I HAD made the right call!Through email and phone calls, I was kept informed of the process including any and all delays COVID caused due to the influx of unnecessary deaths.Shipping was above and beyond what I expected. The shipping box was clearly labeled, as to contents and arrived on schedule.In the future, if I am once again in need of this type of service, I will make the Right Call again, and Call aCremation!

I lost my father in July, on top of dealing with this sudden loss. We also had to deal with the fact there were no plans set in place and no insurance to cover any costs. It was devastating to say the least. We knew right away with low funds and covid-19, that we were looking into cremation. We got online and started checking prices and felt defeated. We were looking into a simple, plain cremation, no service, and still the prices were insane. My sister-in law is a RN and contacted us to tell us about acremation. I called right away and was met with such a soft spoken and caring person. It was indeed hard for me to speak in that moment and she was nothing but patient. I felt comforted, although it was not in person and I did not know this person. Once all the arrangements were made, I was told they would keep in contact via email each step of the way, and I was. I was notified as each step was complete. Once the day came to pick up his ashes, I was a mess all over again and the gentleman that brought him out was nothing but nice and made sure I would be ok. Even told me he would pray for my family and I. I am crying as I write this, remembering that day, but I am filled with comfort in remembering how nice everyone was throughout the whole process.

Acremation did a great job with my loved one. They were cordial from beginning to end. I appreciated the speed at which they showed up and retrieved my love one, and in which they did the cremation. My chief complaint is the cost of a viewing before cremation if you wanted one. Its a little exorbitant for a simple viewing through a window of your loved one.

One of the most horrible experiences Ive had. We thought we had everything setup for the cremation and the hospice place did not follow through. However, I was the power of attorney and executor for the deceased. I gave them all pertinent information over the phone and they insisted on payment before they came out (which is understandable) I told them who I was, and they asked if there was any next of kin to which I said yes, he has two kids that he hasnt spoken to for ten years. They insisted on speaking with one of them and getting them both to sign to have him cremated even though I informed them that would be difficult at best and with the will and POA I should be noted as the contact on record not one of the sons. We were then told that it could take a couple of weeks to cremate the body, however, if we were willing to pony up $295 dollars they would move him to the front of the line... Everything we needed to get done they had to talk with the son, even though he wasnt involved in his dads life and I have all the legal rights. They were completely rude every time we called, whether it was me or his sister who cared for him 24/7 until he died. A place like this should have compassion and understanding, not just tell us how we screwed up because we didnt get the deceased to fill out a form that we didnt even know existed. They sure didnt mind talking with me to get payment though. I would not recommend them to anyone. When a loved one passes the last thing, you want to deal with is some desk jockey with an attitude.

ACremation was very professional and did a fantastic job. They completed the creamation quicker than was expected. I was kept up to date and when they were finished with the cremation I picked up my fathers ashes in their office in Mesquite. Everything went as well as it could have during this difficult time for our family. All necessary paperwork needed for any type of travel was provided when I picked up the ashes. The prices at aCremation are almost certainly the best price you will find anywhere in the area.

I remained informed of progress from the beginning all the way through the process. I had questions that were answered patiently and respectfully. The day I picked up Moms ashes was awful, but the staff at aCremation (Houston) was considerate, helpful, and warm. This was easy to set up prior to needing their services, and easy to implement once their services were needed. One phone call and the rest was handled. It made it very easy on the family plus the company was accustom to working with the local hospice services and personnel. Remains and death certs were available about 1-1.5 weeks later as promised. There was good email communication when needed such as proofing the death cert prior to issuing. There was a correction needed so being able to view it first was a tremendous help. I would recommend acremation if their services meets your desired need at a cost much less than going the traditional route.

I found the follow up care from aCremation to be very lacking. The gentlemen that picked up my Moms body were very kind and helpful - as well as very timely. After her body was in their care, I emailed our contact several times with questions - about the obituary, about signing forms, etc. - and never once did I receive a reply. It was as if once they received the money, they went offline. I wished that I would have chosen a company that offered support when it is needed most... in the days following death.

The moment my mother passed it seemed all that was important to the hospital was to make arrangements Now! I was not even in the right state of mind. They gave me a list of places to call so I called the very first one. I explained everything to the lady on the phone and she just took everything out of my hands so that I could grieve and deal with things in the home and family. All I had to do was make a payment over the phone give some information and sign email documents. When the ashes were ready I was notified by email and a phone call. The ashes came in a nice box that didnt make me feel like my moms death was not taken to heart. They even offered to carry the ashes to my car. Because of the support and ease of using Acremation I was stress free and held myself together very well and was strong for the rest of the family. The entire process was easy and painless. We did not make advance preparations though we knew we would call acremation because our neighbor had used them and highly recommended them. The morning mom passed, I asked hospice to call them. While I recommend making advanced arrangements if at all possible, the staff helped us through the process efficiently and as painlessly as possible. They kept us informed throughout the process and were very sympathetic and professional when we came to pick up the ashes. There was also no upsell of urns or anything else. If you are just having a cremation, I would highly recommend acremation.
