Janet was great! She’s friendly and very professional. I damaged my hair trying to dye it purple and she got rid of all the yucky stuff (as she called it) and gave me a great style! The salon was clean and she took the proper steps to keep us both safe from COVID. I will be back!

The color came out good, but the woman that did it was being weirdly rude--😕 by saying stuff like I thought you said you had thick hair! Ive had clients with way thicker hair than you! It kind of put a damper on the experience.

I have been going there close to a year. JANET does an excellent job. She is talented, professional, friendly and on time. The saloon is clean. She takes extreme measures for my safety from Covid-19 while providing exceptional hairstyling.

I have had 3 haircuts so far here and only 1 ended up being good. I have over 10 complaints over one haircut but i’m not going to go over them all. All I have to say is that the last barber took 10 minutes to cut my hair and gave me a horrible side fade and I don’t recommend this shop for Men’s haircut. And the other haircut was horrible too after the barber ended up shortening my hair 2 inch when I only told her to take off .5. Had to change my hairstyle just for that. They kept my front hair shorter than my back hair totally makes sense. I added a photo just for reference.

My star is based on customer service, I can’t speak of the actual service but if customer service is that bad as first impression I can’t imagine the rest. My husband walked in 15 mins before closing and stylist turned him away because (quote) “ I am getting ready to close”

My boyfriend has been going to Janet Jacobs for almost a year every two too three weeks. He has always had a good experience. Janet is very accommodating and professional.

My boyfriend has been coming here for months to get his haircut, and won’t be coming back anymore. Each time he’s gone, the hairdresser JANET has been rude, uncaring and super unprofessional. She has rushed him out the door before, CUT THE BACK OF HIS NECK, and also had the audacity to complain about not getting a tip because like I mentioned, SHE CUT HIS NECK !!!!! IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB SO MUCH, WHY DONT YOU QUIT??? INSTEAD OF ANGRILY INJURING PEOPLE? My boyfriend literally has BRIGHT RED SCARS ALL ON THE BACK OF HIS NECK! How is that in any way okay? I will be sure to contact corporate over this because it’s not right to do this to people who have been giving you their business for MONTHS despite the HORRIBLE service you continuously provide.

I have had good experiences at the Salon located at Mesquite Supercenter. Service time is relatively short, no hidden fees and fees are competitive and customer service is better than most hair salon / barber shops Ive been. And you cant beat location! 😊

I have always heard people talking down on the salon at Walmart, but I dont know why! I think they do a good job and keep their customers happy! Im happy with my new haircut done by Holly, she was nice and friendly and did a great job at doing my hair the way I wanted it!

Had a nice woman do my hair today, but did not catch her name. I totally messed up my hair trying to go natural and cut my hair off which ended in a disaster. This woman was amazing and comforted me the whole time assuring me that everything will be fine. Pleased to say I am happy with the outcome. It was by far the best silk press I’ve ever had.

Reading the comments below made me very skeptical about giving this salon a try...but Ms. Tonda is the best! She did my hair just as I asked! I love it! I literally watched this woman juggle 7 heads me being one of them...and EVERYONE was satisfied and hair looked nice&neat! Ladies ask for Tonda she’s definitely my new go to stylist for my natural hair care.

So when I came to this salon my hair was down to my but and full of dead/split ends. I told the lady (who was a bit heavyset, dont know her name) that I wanted it cut to a length that would be middle of my back. I even showed her a pic of exactly what I wanted. She proceeded to cut my hair to a bit shorter than shoulder length (a very ugly bob) with a bunch of layers I did not want nor ask for. I am very unhappy with it. Dont ever trust these people to cut your hair go to a real salon where people will listen to what you want and wont screw up your do.

Very good place! The 2 stylist that were there were very friendly and knew what they were doing! There was an incident with a little girl and they were both calm and called the ambulance in a hurry

This was my second time coming to this location and having an awful experience. I came back thinking as long as I didnt get the same girl as before I would be ok. Absolutely zero customer service first off. Secondly I asked before my daughter sat in the chair if she would get a shampoo and was told yes. I told the lady I wanted her hair to be cut in a V shape and she literally cut it the same length in a blunt cut all the way around and now her hair is short when I specifically stated how important it was to keep the length. Then she shampoos her hair after cutting it. Never once discuss she ask me how I liked the cut. Being that my daughter is only 6 you would think she would check for mothers approval. Never again will I come here.

Met Tonda in the Forney location, she first start doing my six year old granddaughters hair which she still does. We followed her to Mesquite. I now am a loyal customer. We love her work, her patience and her professionalism. She understands what we need and goes above and beyond. Especially my granddaughter.

Pricy for someone who cant cut hair. This happened twice two separate visits two separate people. Had to getthe cut fixed by another shop. Do not recommend.

Went back to this salon after previously seeing Tonda (who did a fantastic job). They first did a relaxer, but hair was not straight. Anyway the stylist (Stacy)told me I could come back in 2 weeks to get highlights. I went back and made a VERY BAD MISTAKE of letting Sheena highlight my hair brown. My hair was yellow and orange and she had did more than highlight. She put color everywhere. It was horrible. I had a big patch of orange sitting on top of my head in the front. Please think twice about letting these people do your hair. They definitely don’t give quality like Tonda and Joy did when they were there. I WILL NEVER GO TO THAT SMART STYLE AGAIN. Advise: please step your game up, and maybe consider another career. Also, loose the attitude, your work is nowhere near the great works of stylists like Tonda.

I wanted my daughters hair braided into a curly Mohawk which ended up being just braids....2 days into the braids there coming loose and frizzy! Not ever going back, two hours of just waiting for nothing!! Your better going off to a real salon.

My daughter and I had an awsome experience thanks to Tonda. She is very talented, customer service oriented, easy to talk to and versatile. My daughter was very pleased and happy. We will be back!!!

I was skeptical about getting my hair done here because of the reviews and also because Id gotten my hair cut here before and one side ended up being longer than the other. But I needed my hair done fast and they take walkins.I have natural, curly hair that tangles very quickly. The stylist that helped me was Hope. Even though I detangled my hair before I got there, it got tangled again on the way there. I was worried that she wouldnt be able to work with my hair (I usually detangle and wash before I go to the salon to make detangling easier for the stylist but this time I didnt pre wash it). When she started combing it I actually was contemplating getting up because it didnt feel like she was combing from the ends up. I was very tense. Im sure she felt it. Anyways she detangled and washed it. I calmed down after that. She blow dried. Straightened, cut and styled my hair and it turned out GREAT. She took her time and did not rush. And she did not cur my hair uneven. She told me that I needed to cut about 2 inches and let me know that keeping it trimmed should help with keeping the ends from tangling. I told her to cut off however much she felt was needed. Im glad I decided to stick it out even though I had doubts.I have 4 stars because it seems like there never are the same people working in the salon.

Ms. Tonda straighten my natural hair last week and did a silk wrap at the end. I walked out of the salon with beautiful, shiny, and bouncy hair. Ms. Tonda was very outgoing and happy. She had me laughing like crazy. It’s hard to find a great stylist that knows how to conversate with clients. She’s awesome!!! Check her out ladies

This salon has come a long way, I used to come here back years ago, but I stopped because they would chop your hair. My experience today I was very delighted the wait was not long, the stylist are easy to talk to and they really do a great job Im very pleased

About two months ago I got some highlights which I was really please with the results so a couple days ago I decided to go back and get me some blonde hair well I WOULNT recommend this place at all or not really the place but the lady who did my hair. She took about 6 hours just to fry my hair, burn it damage it and ended up orange I wanted to cry when I saw my self in the mirror I understand every hair is different but it would be better if this salon would provide olaplex or any type of product so they wont mess up that bad Im really dissapointed with the results because I feel like I throw my $130 in the trash and now Im trying everything to fix my hair back which Im not a hairdresser but have never mess up my hair this bad on my own.

I went there and they took care of my needs and I left you a very satisfied

I got my haircut yesterday morning (August 6th), looks like my 7 year old granddaughter cut my hair with her school scissors! What a hack job! I won’t be back!
