These guys are true professionals. They did great and speedy work at fair price. I am from out of town and was stressing about getting home and it being a holiday weekend. Talked to Carl and he was able to get me im and back on the road in nothing flat. Thank you to him and the professional mechanic that work to make it so. I would recommend this shop 100% without hesitation.

Carl and the gentleman who worked on my car were great but there was another male who literally stated at me like I had the virus, didnt greet me.He literally caught eyes and I locked right with him and he eventually turned his head when I didnt change my stance. Dont know if I will spend my hard earned money here again but they did do my inspection quickly and accuratly. Thanks to Carl and the young man who did my inspection for making me feel welcomed.

We started going here a number of years ago after the shop we had been using for years seemed to be having issues. I feel comfortable that they treat us fairly and are competent. I used to do more of my own repairs but have moved away from that and typically only do the simple maintenance myself now. That is not to say they cannot make a mistake. We had one time where the repair person forgot to close something (vague because I cannot recall the specifics but it caused the warning light to turn on without causing any damage). They said it was their fault and did not charge us when we took the vehicle back. Repair costs seem reasonable based on my experience with other shops and will likely be substantially less than a dealer for repairs. Their waiting room is small and old and has been closed during the pandemic. As a smaller shop they can get busy and there can be some delay in getting the work done. Nevertheless, this is our go-to shop.

If i could give zero stars i would ... took my vehicle in for repairs and they couldnt have been any less interested in getting to the bottom of and fixing the problem.. basically told me it would be 460 for 4 hours of labor and if that didnt fix the problem it wouldnt be there fault.. I would rather he just said we dont want your business because thats exactly how they treated me..Just go somewhere where youll be valued and respected.. this isnt the place

This place will be mine and my husbands go-to mechanic! So friendly, genuine, and helpful. We spoke to Carl multiple times and he was always so incredibly patient and kind. Especially since I was calling on behalf of my husband often, Carl never made me feel incompetent despite not always knowing certain issues (which I have encountered at other mechanic shops). Highly recommend!

Great work but a bit expensive

Came to get me an inspection done today Thursday 4/26/2020 at 12 pm and the lobby was locked but there was a guy inside just looking at me. They do have a sign on their door saying that they are OPEN for business but lobby is closed for waiting. I had another ride with me so that I can just drop off. Not sure how you are suppose to receive the business if you can’t even talk to anyone or have someone come out to assist you. All bay door were shut as well except for the furthest one on the end. So not sure what was going on. Ended up leaving and went to GJ’s Automotive down the street and they were happy to take care of if for me.

The guys down at Dwight and Dons have worked on our cars for over 15 years. The knowledgeable mechanics and technicians have consistently been friendly, fair, and timely with correctly diagnosing and fixing the issues that we have had with our cars - all the while keeping us informed and updated every step of the way. They even helped with getting a tow truck out to where my car was broken down after I hit a curb and busted the sidewall on both front and back driversside tires, two weeks ago.In short, if youre looking a fair, honest and reliable shop to which you can take your vehicle(s), I highly recommend Dwight and Dons in Mesquite. I came in to have my air conditioner fixed. They checked for leaks and filled it with freon. Almost two weeks later my air stopped working. Took it back to D and D..At that time they told me I had a cracked hose. I asked them did they NOT see that cracked hose when they put my freon in the car??? He said he noticed that it was looking bad, but said nothing. Then he said he would replace the hose and redo the freon for 600 dollars! No thanks. I got it fixed at another garage who looked at my engine for any visible problems all for $250. dollars

Dwight and Dons did great work when my car was hit by someone running a stop sign. My strut was bent and a few other mechanical damages but they took care of it and got it back on the road. They even worked with Williams Body Shop to get my body work done quick and Justin helped me through the whole process.

I drive over an hour just to have these guys work on my cars. Theyve worked on 5 different cars of ours. Excellent service, fair prices and wonderful customer service.

I trust these guys to fix my Honda.TIP-get your vehicle in very early in the morn for them to get to it the same day-theyre busy because they do good work and know what theyre doing. (A friend recommended me because they fixed his cars well and were fair in price.)

Usually speak with Don at the counter, hes a straight forward guy and they make sure things are done right the first time. Justin is a mechanic in the back who is real nice too and does good work. Highly reccomend this shop.

Had a positive experience. I am traveling through the country and my van broke down last night. I was worried about finding a reliable mechanic in a town Id never been before. I called around 9 to see if there would be a long wait to get my car looked at. They assured me that they could look at my car in the afternoon. They let me know exactly what was going on with my car around 1 or 2 p.m. and fixed the problem by 6 pm. I am very grateful that they were able to accommodate me and fix my problem today as I live in my van and would have had to spend more money to get a hotel room if it took longer. Thank you so much!

Place is a rip off. Took my car in to get my breaks fixed for squeaking. Spent over $900 for new pads and rotors and the breaks still squeak loudly. Every time I take it back, they just tell me they don’t hear anything. $900 down the drain!!

**Dont ever use this shop!**Told my g/f that her car was ready for pickup, hole in the radiator and the radiator bracket needed to be replaced. Price $709.Went to pick up the car and it was $760 something. Tried explaining that we were told the original price. Their explanation was Well thats tax and oh we had to replace the brackets. Since it was already over $700 we didnt think that it would matter.**Dont ever use this shop!**

I had spark plugs replaced and throttle cleaning completed. Great service and customer service. Go check these guys out.

Went a couple months ago when my check engine light went on. He said it was the caddilac converters ($900+). Drove on it For a bit and the engine light went off. So decided to take my chances to see if I could pass inspection and what do you know I did. Still dont know why that light popped up but it sure wasnt the caddilac converters!!!! Nice try ;)

For the record, I only rate 5s and 1s, and Dwight & Dons are an easy 5 - at one point in my life I had 7 or 8 vehicles to worry about and all went to them because they are exactly what you hope for in a great supplier (honest, accommodating, fair-priced and quick) - now my kids are taking their vehicles there, so enough said :)

We had a $630 government repair voucher to pay for our catalytic converter and they quoted us $1,300. DOUBLE!! Took it to another authorized shop and the same job was only $650. Dwight’s did charge us $100 just for diag. Don’t take your car here. I think they make most of their income from giving high estimates and charging people $100 for diag which takes 10 mins.

I echo everything that is being said about this mechanic. Extremely OVERPRICED. Do not ever go here if you want fair pricing. I went in for a more complicated issue that they said they were not able to help with, so I decided to get an oil change while I was there. The cost for the oil change was DOUBLE what I normally pay (they charged me over $50) at any other reputable mechanic. Obviously I will not be going back with my more serious issue. I would highly suggest you go down the street to Carters or up the way to Triple A Muffler instead because both of them are no where near as overpriced.It all makes sense why I was the only customer there on a Saturday morning.

We arrived on a Friday at 5:30 PM and they supposedly close at 6:00, we told them that we were told our vehicle had an AC issue where something wasnt letting air thru and it was something simple and wanted to see of someone can look at it, they refused, they said they were about to close and couldnt help.

Been coming here for about 10 years, more expensive than hiring Juan to work under a shade tree but less expensive than a dealership and similar dealership experience. No problems referring anybody here.

Do you like fair pricing like me? If so go somewhere else. I needed a new blow motor for my wife kia which does take time to complete part is 109. At dons part is 150, to get it the problem checked it costed me 49$ to get it installed don and his merry men charge 514 in labor. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion. I drove my car to a KIA DEALERSHIP and got to pay 337 with tax and labor they also threw in a free car wash. So if you like a dollar store item in a dollar store setting while paying deaprtment pricing then by all means go to dons. If you are sane and do not like burning money look elsewhere. I was surprised i saved money by using a car dealer but 432$$$ thats alot of extra money for your consideration.At one point dons was a fair place to go now i guess they need us to pay them as much as doctors and surgeons . 2 hours labor at $300 a hour.

Was told they would rebuild my edelbrock carburetor for my 67 camaro for 225 in person and when i left to go get the carburetor and came back, i was told the price was 425 and they denied i was ever given the quote
