Will never go back !! 3 months ago she did terrible job not at all like I asked. Decided to give them one more chance. Explained to owner what happened and he said “we don’t care if you ever come back”. Told him what i wanted done and he said can’t do that. All I wanted was a trim.

WOW, I have never spoken to a less professional barber in my entire life and Im in my 60s!The owner(s) answered the phone with little or no attitude of service. I told him I was responding to their positive reviews and he said, just come in. I inquired about my type of hair and the type of service they offered and this obvious extremely insecure owner said, thats offensive and hung up on me. Thinking that there is no way anyone could be that unprofessional, I called back and this time a woman answered - not with the company name, only an unprofessional hello and said SHE was the owner and quickly handed the phone to the gentleman that obviously is not smart enough to know who pays his paycheck (the customer) or to answer basic questions with the ongoing goal of building his business. There is a multitude of barbershops that genuinely appreciate new business... if I have redirected one prospective customer, this review was worth it.Interesting this owner with little of NO business acumen said in his response, I didnt come in - that was my whole point and if you read all the negative reviews regarding this company, youll have the impression to absolutely go somewhere else!!! I hope!

This a a true old fashioned neighborhood barbershop. Not fancy or in a rush all the time to get you in and out of the chair. Gordon does a great job, even passes the bosses muster. I like it as he remembers what I get so I do not have to repeat it every time I sit down. There is always something interesting on the TV but the conversation is just normal like you belong there. Been there when it is very busy and when it is just normal always great service and all at a reasonable price.

This is a good old fashioned Barber. Dont go in with a Rush mentality because this is a experience and not one to rush. The professionalism was outstanding, I recommend getting the works.Its a Full Shave and Full Haircut for only 40 bucks.Starts out with a haircut. A perfect cut I mean clean cut lines. Awesome the Cut Alone is like 16-18 bucks but add the Shave.Where else can you get a straight razor shave. Hot towel service and smooth baby face. Wow no razors athome even come close to this. The guy was amazing. He shaved me actually three times to get it exactly perfect didnt ask for it he just did it talk about above and beyond service.If you just want to shave its 25 bucks.Came out of there feeling like a million bucks I will definitely be back this is definitely a barber to keep for life I hope they stay around for a long time Ill see you guys in two weeks.Tipped the guy 20 bucks too, from this point forward I will recommend a straight razor shave.

First time in, was hopeful for a good haircut. was assisted promptly by a very nice young lady. Unfortunately the haircut was less than ideal. It was clear she was not comfortable performing a medium fade or using a straight razor, and even managed to cut a line across my beard. As there was no way to fix the beard she neglected to mention it until I brought it up, and gave a less than sincere apology. I paid the amount of the haircut in cash after using the convenient ATM machine in store, even though stickers indicating they accept most debit/credit cards are posted on the exterior and inside the location. A bit misleading but I understand only wanting to accept cash payments.From the previous reviews it appears this place does have some good barbers, and I unfortunately chose the wrong day. I cant say Ill be going back anytime soon though.

I recently moved back to the Phoenix area and was nervous about finding a new spot to get me hair cut. After reading some of the most recent reviews I was a little hesitant but then I realized that out of 115 there’s only these few that are upset and most don’t even relate to an actual haircut they received.Also the fact that people are quick to leave a negative review for any experience but couldn’t be bothered to leave a positive one.I have to say that this place is going to be my go to going forward. I don’t even live in Mesa I live in Santan, that’s how good an experience I had. I’m willing to drive for another one.The barber cut my hair exactly as I asked him too and the fade came out perfect. Maybe my haircut is easy to do because it’s long on top and short on the sides or I’m just not picky. All I know is, is that it looks like what I asked for and looks the way it has after any other cut I’ve received from previous barbers or stylists.

I went to this barbershop for the first time today. After reading some of these obviously false and negative reviews I just have to say that this is the best barbershop I’ve ever been to. I don’t know what barbershop those people went to. But the G&m barbershop i was at was top notch. Barbering just doesn’t get any better than this. It’s a men’s haircutting establishment second to none. Most barbers aren’t even good enough to work there. These people are good. And it’s kid friendly. I’m glad I found them.

I have no idea how their workmanship is but their communication with customers is poor.In response to the account holders post:customer service is an art, one that you obviously do not hold. No one wants to be treated like an idiot, regardless of if they are or not. I called you at 4:20 and asked if you COULD color match my beard. You said we can do anything. And my flight was at 5:00am the next morning, you may have heard me say that if you werent too busy interrupting me.I called Lady Janes haircuts for men after I got off the phone with you. They didnt treat me like an idiot, I drove there by 4:35 and they color matched my beard, cut my hair, and I drove off in my Lexus RCF before 5pm.Think what you want about me but just realize that potential customers dont want to be treated poorly no matter how great the work is. From a business owners perspective maybe consider hiring a receptionist since they would have the skills that you clearly lack.

This is the worth place I have ever been!!! If I could out minus 5 starts I would. I am surprised how his is still in business. The barbers are rude and do not care about customer satisfaction. The guy did not even want to listen to me said he will do it like on the picture. After he was done he did not clean my son’s face or neck from the hair and he just massacred my son’s head. I said that we wanted it longer he just waived me our like he would shoe a fly and said “Whatever. It looks good”. When I said that it is not what we wanted and I will never come here again him and all his team stared to yell at me “ You don’t have to. Whatever. Just leave”.

WORST. HAIRCUT. EVER. Popped in because I wanted to support local business and just moved into the neighborhood hoping to find a regular spot. Old timer asked me what I wanted, I told him #2 on the sides and back, blended in to the top with a little extra length in front to spike up. He basically gave me a fade and whacked my hair to nothing on top. Right side is longer than the left. Supercuts would have done a better job. Absolutely ridiculous.

I brought in my 2 year old son for a boy cut today and went ahead and got my hair cut as well. They did such a great job that I returned a few hours later so they could do a fade in my 10 year olds hair that had been butchered by another shop. My wife and I could not have been more pleased by they way all of our hair cuts came out. We will be returning from now on! Thank you so much for the awesome experience!

Gordon is the man! He does a great job at cutting hair, and if you ask him to make changes along the way he is more than happy to help out. I am a simple man that likes a great hair cut, and you cant get any better than here. The prices are on par with the cheap places like great clips, and he does so much more. If you like to talk thats great, and if you like a silent hair cut you can just watch the TV. The best barber Ive found in Gilbert and wont be going anywhere else as fas as I am concerned.

Great staff, owner, and high quality expertise in relaxed cool shop. Im an easy cut, but I see them do more complicated cuts with hipsters and kids, plus nice to see lots of Vets and retired folks for the neighborhood vibe.

I got my hair cut for the first time here, then went back for a beard trim a few days later. Each experience was top notch. Ive found that not just anyone can give me the haircut results Im looking for, but these guys have been great.

The guy cutting hair closest to the door skipped me on two different occasions. They play the news and rant about politics the entire time so if you love to sit in a high stress environment, your hair might just fall out and you wont need it cut at all. These guys are anti-police super left wingers i wont be back for sure. Also the woman second closest to the door (i assume the owners daughter) smokes outside and doesnt even have the courtesy to wash her hands before she starts cutting your hair. Enjoy those hands all over your head. Protect your family and keep them away from this place.

I asked for a a scissor trim the barber said they dont use scissors they do theyre cutting their way I said okay use the number 6 clippers on the sides and make sure back is just straight across and he said were not doing this and took the apron off and I left. What? I guess he did not need the $20. I couldnt believe that happened. He must have had a real bad night. He wants cut your hair h is way. Not How you want it cut?

This is a good old fashioned barber shop. Aside from my haircuts always being on point, the place is clean, appropriately decorated (has a pool table), and has plenty of seating. 10/10 would recommend getting your haircut done here.

These people do not know how to cut hair. I swear, if you want to get a haircut your better off picking anybody you see walking down the street, I promise they’ll do it better. They don’t listen to how you want your hair cut, they do what they want to do. The owner there thinks he knows what he’s doing but doesn’t even know what he’s saying half the time. The owner also made a lot of racist comments about every race except for white. I give this barber shop 1 star because there’s no waiting, as soon as I walked in everybody jumped out of there chair exited that they finally have a customer. This place is a joke.

There are two barber shops in the East Valley that Ill recommend. This is one of them. I am very particular about my haircut, having a fresh high and tight used to be one of the most important things in my daily life. Now that I dont have to stay fresh and clean shaven, I still really like to. I have received service from all three of the barbers here and Ill have to say they are all great. The older guy is a haircut pimp, in my opinion - he knew how to listen to what I was saying and translated that into a very nice haircut. The lady gave me one of the best razor-fades Ive had outside of Yus Barber Shop just off Ft. Lee, and the young man did a surprisingly fantastic job himself.This is my preferred barber shop, it will be yours as well.

Had a cut by all barbers by now, only the dad (I think owner) can cut hair. All others should be at great clips! :) The woman was not very good at doing fades, which should be mastered by barbers. When I got home, I noticed the blades showing on my left side and decided to go to another barber the following day. Not coming back, still looking for a barber... Suggestions Welcome!

Fortunately, I will not be returning. This is an over priced($16), cash only, terrible hair cut baber. I went great clips after the fact to fix my hair. The 3% they save for not taking debit or credit cards, is basicly forced upon customers to pay a $3 fee for an ATM.

My son and husband get their hair cuts here. They are friendly, affordable, and do a great job. I love all the seating and that there’s toys/tv for kids.

Meagan was very friendly, asked a lot of questions about how I wanted my hair styled, and was very fast & through. Prices were about the same as everyone else but this place had a pool table and tvs for the people who might have to wait, of course I got right in and was out in 15 minutes. I will definitely be coming back even though I live on the west side of town.

Great price, great cuts, great folks to just hang with. Most importantly, consistently good cuts and the wait times are usually not bad. They’re 21 miles from my house in San Tan Valley but worth the drive.

Stay clear completely shaved my sons entire hair off. Asked for a number one on sides with trim now my son is completely bald. Worst hair cut ever cannot believe how bad this came out.

I’ve taken my son to this barber shop several times for simple haircuts and fades. While the owner has never been rude, I definitely don’t come here for him or his personality, but rather the fair prices for a 10-MINITE HAIRCUT. After all, they’re the “professionals” with the clippers, not me. Today I took my son in and he wanted a design in his fade. I walked in and explained what we were looking for and decided to give a simple star a shot. I understand he is not a tattoo artist, but when I told him that he didn’t draw a simple star TWICE, he gave an instant unprofessional attitude and ended the cut. The cut wasn’t even done and he said, “Thank you, that’ll be $16” No, I wasn’t satisfied, even without the design. You, Mr Business Owner, are not perfect in your craft. That’s ok, but don’t be rude about your inability. Learn it or be up front that you won’t do it. Admit when you can’t do something don’t take it out on your customers. My advice... do NOT go here if the owner is your only option.

If you want people who understand hair dont go here. The lady who cut my hair didnt follow my natural part, at all. Now I have a random part on the side of my head. She also parted the other side wrong. There was a clear part and she made a new one. Awful. On top of that she didnt trim anything even though I specified in numerous occasions what I expected. Dont go here if youre under the age of 50 or want anything done except a routine trim or buzz.

I have gotten my hair cut here several times and everytime I have been treated with respect care and good customer service it is hard to find a barber shop like this but im glad I found this place meaghan is a great barber and I pray this shop stays open, great atmosphere and great people

Barber claimed he could replicate any style with just a few pictures. When I noticed it was coming out shorter than I wanted and mentioned it he got defensive. All over a terrible experience, bad cut and worse customer service.

I would give zero stars here if it allowed. Facts: Came into the shop showed the barber the type of cut I wanted. Showed a photo from a magazine cover in their shop. She commented she could do it. My wife said dont cut it to short, she doesnt like the buzz cut look. The photo was a regular haircut. not buzzed. The lady said ok she can cut it that way. I told her to be safe cut it a little longer than what we see in the photo. She said ok. What she did though was give me what I would call a Marine Corp high and tight. buzzed sides and a little on top. We stopped her before she finished so I had a little hair left, not much. I believe i would have been prison bald if we let her finish as not much is there now. This was only after my wife spent several back and forth minutes with what I assume was the owner? The guy was very rude and basically said dont interrupt while we buzz your husbands head. He also had a very step to attitude that was uncalled for. I decided it was best we call it a day stopped before the barber finished. We paid the 16 dollars and we left. I dont know if this place has a regular clientele they rely on but I will say being rude to your customers isnt the way to maintain a business. Also telling them to basically sit and take whatever haircut style they decide to give isnt a way to provide a service either. If thats what your going to do you need to communicate that from the get go. Note: When we entered the shop there was only one other customer there. Should have took that as a bad omen. Read some of the responses if you want an insight into the classless attitude of these people. Most businesses take criticism to heart and try to make an improvement or an adjustment. These people, not gonna happen. Get a clue, if you have people writing negative comments about your service and attitude perhaps its you and not them. Or maybe its door number 3 and you just dont give a damn.
