Weve been impressed with the professionalism of the postal staff at the Merritt island PO for the past 4 years weve lived here. Theyre helpful, courteous and apologize for the wait even when only a few minutes has passed. Yet, Ive witnessed the rudeness of customers loudly complaining they have to wait in line (really?). Not once has a postal worker at this location been disrespectful to a customer even when subjected to childish behavior. High marks to the postal staff at the MI post office for their patience and excellent service.

Not quite sure how they got such a low rating. This was my first time there and everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. My transaction took less than a minute. A+ in my book

Great service, extremely friendly workers. Non peak hours there is never a wait longer than one or two minutes.This is probably one of the most efficient post offices Ive ever used (Ive lived in over forty states).They do have occasional hiccups when training new people or using temps, but thats to be expected.For their size and lack of government funding they really go out of their way!Shout out to Mariam, youre awesome 😎.We miss you Eric, I hope youre enjoying retirement 😃.

TERRIBLE customer service if they even answer. There is one woman that is ALWAYS so rude when answering as if she could care less if she helps you or not. Ken has been so helpful and the nicest one with my experiences there. Such a shame!

Im a millennial. I do not use the Postal service often, I call it “snail mail”. Until recently I had to start using the Postal service more frequently than before. This MI branch team members have been most helpful assisting me and my business in this unknow territory. The other day I had to mail a letter for the first time in my life. Without Robert and Gina assistance, it honestly wouldn’t have been possibly. I required assistance via phone, and staff members Jahron and Mary did above and beyond what they had to do. I often use online PO services. The website is easy to use and self-explanatory. However, again I required assistance and Jahron was more than helpful to assist me. Branch is also clean and stocked when I come to retrieve my mail. S/o to a great team and we’ll ran PO service branch.

I Love the boxes if it ships it fits. So I run in there knowing theyre closed because, they have the shelving that hold the if it fits it ships boxes in the entry area. Well, is EMPTY except for 3 tiny boxes. What do Normal working people do? Because their house arent good. I figured Id load the box and pay at the machine.I guess NOT. Seeing there NO Boxes.Waste of time 🙄

9:30 at night and no mailman. Had mail to go out and it was still in my box. I am home all day so I know when the mail comes. Not a holiday today, so way no mailman.

I have a small home based business and ship all of my orders via USPS. Ive been doing daily drop offs at the Merritt Island post office for 14 years now and everyone who works there has always been polite, friendly and professional. When Ive made mistakes on labels or had any issues with shipments or deliveries they have always went the extra mile to help me out and track down my parcels even during the hectic holiday season.

Its NYE and I never, I mean ever stop at this location for mail because I get mail at home. On this hectic day, Kristen the supervisor at the Merritt Island location made my day!! She responded to my delivery issue (long story with an address change and change of mailbox lock, no keys) in the morning and by the end of the day, had my package given to me at my doorstep. Excellent customer service & family environment I felt when greeted and asked for her when I walked in. I tried not to get my hopes up when she told me she could call the carrier to see if hes in the area to meet you for the lock change. She came back moments later to tell me If I left now, the carrier could meet me at the mailbox. Also, the lock was changed already and the keys can stick if you cant open the box. Good stuff!!! Thank you!!! I got home in minutes before the carrier showed up to let me in and to grab the partial box key and my NYE outfit handed to me, in a bag of course! Customer service level is top notch in my opinion. You made my issue easy & relaxed so thank you for your very helpful phone call to the carrier and being there for the locals! Thanks for pushing back my package for 2 weeks. Truly ruined something for me.

Cannot say anything other about my carrier than Pathetic. Got a notice that they tried to deliver a letter, but missed me. Was home all day - no attempt was made. Mail is always mis-delivered. Apparently actually verifying that they are delivering to the correct address is beyond their duties.

Checked my tracking number and it says the post office attempted a delivery at 9:29 am today. We were home and no one came. Then it says the package is being held at the post office at our request!! Not True! Phone line is busy. Package was supposed to be here on Tuesday. Maybe the government should hire UPS to deliver the mail. They might even make a profit.

These people go ABOVE and beyond! I just moved away from here and my new postal people suck compared to Cassie and her peeps at the Merritt Island one! Thank you for always being helpful and kind! It made my day

Getting everyone’s mail except my own. Also says a package was delivered two days ago that still isn’t here. Where is our Milton? You should hire people thatcan read; also care would be a very nice idea. Where is Milton? The best Mailman ever on Newfound Harbor!!!

For the last two years Ive recieved mail for about three separate individuals. Ive had mail delivered that didnt actually have my address (not even the same street) on it and with someone elses name. Our mail never comes until after 5PM and today DIDNT COME AT ALL!? This is the worst post office EVER.

Anne was so rude. She would not let me use a couple pieces of tape that she had. I had to go buy a whole roll which I don’t need. Made me get out of like add my pieces of tape and then get back in line. My local post office is way better. Goes above and beyond to help and do their job.Don’t like this place at all.

Took them over two weeks to give me my first mailbox key. I(was riding a bicycle) made more than five trips to that post office a(should have been one) +they acted like it was my fault!!!

We enjoyed reasonably good service at our Merritt Island address for more than 40 years but the retirement of our former carrier has changed that. Our deliveries are now very late afternoon, if at all. The last two days had no pickup or delivery. Forwarded mail is even worst when our daughter’s “forward mail request” resulted in not just her mail, but all our mail being forwarded. Not only that, but senders were notified resulting in my real estate tax notices, bank statements, and utility bills being sent elsewhere, and not to mention - several weeks late. Looks like we are being pushed to do everything on-line and forget USPS.

Another package and envelope that didnt fit shoved into my box. The lid wouldnt close so it was left hanging open with the package hanging out by a few inches. Really? Just leave a note and Ill pick it up. This was a very expensive item, photographs from a wedding....I havent opened them yet because I am going to take photos and send to the PMG in DC since complaining to the local PO has never helped in the past.

If i could give zero stars i would. Absolutely terrible service. I have been getting the run around for 4 days over a package that at first they told me was being held at the office, then it was on the wrong truck, then i was told BY THE SUPERVISOR that he did not actually read a form that had the package info on it. He also apparently takes 2 hour lunches every day and does not put in the effort to help his customers. Then i got told by the employee that CALLED ME about said package, i did not call her, that she couldnt help me and was very busy. Extremely rude attitude.

The worst delivery service in the country.... They need to train there delivery drivers better. They Lost my package .

***WORST POST OFFICE EVERRR*** THE MAIL LADY KEEPS PUTTING LETTERS THAT ARE NOT MINE IN MY MAIL (LAZY ASF) I TOLD HER ABOUT IT...THERES W2s HEALTH INSURANCE CARDS FOR PEOPLE THAT LIVED IN MY HOUSE IN THE PAST (IM PRETTY SURE THEY NEED THOSE) SINCE SHE DOESNT WANT TO DO HER JOB AND TAKE THE LETTERS BACK, SHE GOT MAD AT ME AND SAID THAT I REFUSED MY MAIL NOW I RECEIVE NO LETTERS I CALLED THE MANAGER AND THEY ARE BASICALLY DEFENDING HER!!!!! ANYBODY KNOWS CORPORATES NUMBER I AM WORRIED ABOUT ALL MY LETTERS?????

They lose packages all the time. Litterly the rudest workers. I got better service from hatians in orlando. That should say something

I’ve been up since 8 this morning, heard no one knock, no nothing. I checked amazon to see the state of my package and where it was but it said a delivery attempt had been made, I go outside to check and I have a notice on my door. I tried calling them and was on hold for over 30 minutes and nothing. So now, I have to wait another day to get my package and I wasn’t the one at fault. Needless to say I’m a little upset. Thanks usps.

Just went to the office, a bit apprehensive due to prior reviews...i was in and out, only a short wait, and while i was there, the 3 postal employees were pleasant, competent, and efficient.

The worst people in the world hitler would probably hang out with the people who work in this store ur telling me a mf 3 hour wait time and “failed package delivery” even tho i was home and no body came

My package has gone missing! Trying to track it down or to get someone to call you back is crazy. Im still waiting, not only am I out the money but I was told several times this happens all the time.

I was very sad to hear of my daughters experience this morning in your Post Office. Seriously, she is 8 months pregnant and with two little girls, one of whom having a very difficult time. A postal worker came and asked her to leave her coveted place in line to go quiet the child down because the workers couldnt think with all the racket. My daughter had already stood in line to get a box since your display was out, then had to get back in line. This is all fine and expected when you go to the post office but what is not expected is to be asked to leave the line and quiet your child. Is there such thing as compassion or even customer service in the Merritt Island post office? Why couldnt any of you workers have helped her or at least brought her to the front of the line so she could get finished and out of there in a hurry. Instead she felt she had no choice but to leave. Kindness and civility are a dying art in our country.

Moved into a townhouse where they have key entry mailboxes.....gave me a key said maintenance would be out in two/three days to put new lock on..pfffft!Been two weeks!!!Cant get my mail or packages and I work from home!!Also phone has been busy for a week now!! SERIOUSLY??????

They attempt to deliver without showing up. They hold your product by saying you requested it even though you never did such a thing. Worse mail services ive ever dealt with

They delivered package 2 streets over and after calling 10 times they finally sent driver over to the GPS coords. only to say no one had it. $400 down the drain and when I make a claim the package shows delivered.

Very inconsistent serviceTwo of us home all day awaiting package; No attempt, left pickup notice int he mail box; Didnt bother to come to the door.Sometimes packages are left at the garage door; other times in the bush by the front gate (either case rain soaked usually by the time i discover them)Long wait lines.You can forget that postmans creed here.

12/23/17THIS PLACE IS STEALING MY AMAZON PACKAGES AND MARKING THEM AS DELIVERED! IVE LOST EXPENSIVE CHRISTMAS GIFTS, BECAUSE THE ROUTE DRIVER STOLE MY PACKAGES, CLAIMING THEY WERE DELIVERED! THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 3 YEARS! IVE REPORTED THIS MANY TIMES AND NOTHING IS EVER DONE! I AM SO OVER THESE THIEVES! HOW CAN I STOP THIS CRIME SPREE WHEN THE POST MASTER IGNORES MY REPORTS!? NEVER EVER GO HERE! IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE HEAVILY VICTIMIZED BY GOVERNMENT POSTAL WORKERS WHO HAVE ZERO OVERSIGHT, AND NO FEAR OF PROSECUTION!

This post office is dreadful...any time of year. Poor management...no personnel...long wait times. They have lost more than a couple of my packages. Wow...drive to Cocoa Beach PO.
