While this gym is closer to my home driving an extra 7 minutes to go to Planet Fitness is a bit more of a value for me. This gym is small and cramped and the prices for what they have arent really worth it. There is no unlimited guest pass and it costs $98 to join and they dont offer classes and I dont recall them saying that they offer personal training (I could be mistaken on that though). I give it 3 stars because it appeared clean and its in a decent location. If I didnt have Planet Fitness to fall back on, I mightve considered this gym.

I have been going here for a little over two years. I have enjoyed the many equipment options and large space available. Very clean. The only thing I was noticing is the amount of members has grown soooooo much its hard to find a time to go that its not slammed busy other than late night or super early morning. Other than that I love my island gym

Decent gym for general fitness and weight training. Love the hydro massage beds when they work properly. Not a lot of space for deads and it can get crowded on the free weight floor.

I was looking for a place to workout while Im down in Florida for the winter. Went in today and the staff was really helpful and friendly. The place is clean and the machines are great. Just a great overall experience and Im glad I joined for the winter. They also have massage beds and tanning beds

The front office over the past few years has had very poor communication with me when Ive tried to cancel memberships. There has been two instances now that I have begun a membership and later needed to cancel. Both times I was continually billed following my cancelation, even with appropriate forms turned in. The second time I was reassured by an employee that it would be taken care of, only to find out 3 months later that I had received additional billings. The gym is also small and less cleanly than other gyms Ive experienced.Upon finally getting my last membership canceled, I seemed to deal with some competent staff who were apologetic and concerned. Id say there is hope if they can continue to keep the good management.

This is only the second bad review I have ever done in my life! Hi. I have been trying to cancel my membership here since April. I have emailed and called so many different managers and they all say its done but its not. I have been charged four times since my first call in early April. 4/16, 5/16, 6/16 and now 7/16. They will not refund me. They keep charging me. Its such a shame.

So I started going to this location in March, after I was immunized. I really like the gym itself. The interior is always clean, the staff are friendly and the selection of weights and machines are fantastic. Recently the free weight section was rearranged and, honestly, it’s not great. Before, there was enough space for people to use the dumbbells and benches without issue. Now it feels like people are right on top of each other. I’m not going to take any stars off for this but I would like them to know that the new setup is not great.

Great gym just need to get the front door fixed for overnight access because it keeps on giving me issues and not letting me in

Great gym and enjoy going there to workout. My biggest complaint is not having enough available plates to use for the equipment. I constantly have to hunt for plates and waste my time finding what i need.

They require checking account as payment and cannot provide a copy of terms and conditions prior to joining to see what you are signing up for. The website doesnt have it either. If you quit you are charged an extra 30 days.

I just joined yesterday. The guy that signed me up was very helpful and personable. The gym seems to have everything other gyms have to offer. It does feel smaller than other gyms, but its a lot less overwhelming for a newbie like me. It seemed clean and orderly. The staff was wiping stuff down and mopping when he wasnt helping customers.

My wife has been trying to cancel her membership and has had to jump through an excessive amount of hoops. It is so bad, she’s considered cancelling the card associated with the membership or reporting it as fraud. This type of business practice is manipulative and unethical. She’s tried to cancel her membership and been told she’s had to come in person, been told there is no manager available, amongst the countless amount of information you have required her to provide. When she finally sent in everything you asked, she was told that she would be charged for one more month following the cancellation. She would never complain so I am writing the review.Edit: We received an email the following day stating the 30 Day cancellation notice had been waived and therefore waiving the additional month fee. We appreciate that and have updated our rating. My wife actually loved the gym and would have returned had not been for this.

One of the best (if not the best) in the Merritt Island area. Fast growing locations. Great staff. But since they are still new in the business, equipment and membership software maintenance needs improved. Did I mention Great staff members?!

Facility is nice, staff is nice, but some of the members who go at night need to learn GYM ETIQUETTE. It is not uncommon to start a workout by unloading someone elses workout.

I signed up for a year contract Willingly knowing the cost for me and my wife everything was fine. Then two months into the contract show my wife got pregnant and I went to the desk and asked if her account could be canceled or put on hold and they told me they could only hold account for three months while we all know that the baby takes longer than three months for a baby to be born and the healing process isn’t the quickest so she won’t back to the gymrhis year. So I transferred it to one of my siblings and just pay paid the bill for the rest of the year. Then this pandemic happened I understand everybody has had a hard time not complaining about the gym being closed or anything like that I was just patiently waiting for the gym to re-open so I could go and cancel my membership because it’s been after a year I just went in today and they told me that they had to charge me one more time for both people on the membership even though I rarely even used the gym but no leeway about it being closed for the last 3 weeks.

Got an email if I signed up now that would waive all the extra fees and just charge the monthly rate. Well the website would not waive any rates so I called the local AF and they told me I had to come in and do it 45 minutes till closing (cant do it). So the email said I had till 12 midnight to sign up without the fees and it doesnt work. Stinks because I wouldve have joined, but now I know they like to use false advertising.

You can write a response and the owner can respond, but you cant respond to the owner again? I get an email that has a special 45 minutes before the special was to expire in person and the special didnt work online. I was seriously thinking about joining this gym, but I can see its the same shenanigans so Im going to Planet Fitness (a place I really dont like, but I know they dont pull any stunts). Im not going to join a place that doesnt honor what they advertise period.

Ive currently been a member at Workout Anytime Merritt Island for over a year now. I enjoy going to this gym and I like the selection of equipment it has. Theres always enough machines and free weights. I never feel rushed or like Im on top of everyone. They have so many different types of classes to try, you can never get bored.The people who work at Workout Anytime Merritt Island are exceptional. The manager, Zach, trains his staff well and encourages them to be courteous and helpful to Workout Anytime members. If you need a little push, one of the trainers, Vonnie, is knowledgeable, friendly and will challenge you to reach your personal best.If you live in the Merritt Island area, I would recommend giving Workout Anytime a try. It is very clean, well located and an exceptional value. They have a lot of deals, such as a free trial period, packages for families and student discounts, so check them out...Im glad I did.

I have been using this gym for two years now just about, and I have seen a gradual decline in the work staff over the years. When I first started coming here the staff was always up doing something whether it was wiping down machines, vacuuming, mopping, filling spray bottles, or filling paper towel dispensers. On top of the old staffs regular duties they would actually spend time assisting members. Ever since they have hired new people I have noticed that trashes are overflowing every night, Spray bottles are always empty, and it looks like they never vacuum or mop anymore, and what makes it even worse is that they go on their Instagram and pretend they are this extremely cleanly staff of people, which is definitely NOT TRUE. This used to be a great gym, but this new staff is ruining it.

Members need to swallow their egos to prevent the spread of the virus.Theres a big difference in the safety experienced in your South Florida faculities.

Weights are never put back after use.Plates are always scattered.People set up multiple machines and expect to use all 3 at once.People lack gym etiquette and rules are not enforced by Gym employees.Never have I once witnessed a gym employee clean empty water bottles left on machines, pick up paper scattered about the floor, refill the paper towels used to wipe equipment, move weights back to their spot, wipe down equipment, or do anything that would indicate they work for the gym. Normally I just see the employees on their cellphones in the office. If they do leave the office it mainly to flirt with members or give tours to new members. Also, the staff is friendly. If you need a question answered theyll answer. All team members are nice. I like to see them greeting customers when they come and go. It doesnt seem like theyre forced to do it. It seems genuine.Unless a new gym opens Ill still be a member.Not satisfied with the cleanliness of the gym. Its not disgusting or anything. There are always paper towels everywhere. Saw a used band-aid on the floor in the same spot for 3 days in a row. You have to hunt for plates. Water bottles are always on a machine. So either someone just left their trash or some person left the bottle their while they go work on 3 other machines and thats their subtle signal that you are not to use the machine while they are away for an hour.Has potential to be a great gym but plagued by common gym issues. Not issues to make me quit going. Overall, I am satisfied with my gym experience with a couple minor issues.

Vonnie introduced this gym to me and my boyfriend and we are very grateful she did! We both work in the service industry and during the day is a little difficult to get there. Being able to leave work and head to the gym at 1 or 2 in the morning has been great!! Love this place!!

My go to place to get a good workout literally anytime! Helpful staff during day hours. Nice up to date equipment which is nicely maintained. My health insurance covers a basic membership there. Very clean place with a go at your own pace atmosphere.

Signed up for a year. They shut down for Covid, like everything else. But they didnt let anyone know when they opened back up. THEN on Jun 4th I get charged for a full month when they wereonly open for only 12 days in May . Then I get charged for June on the 15th. I will not be signing back up.

Never would have even known about how great this gym was if it wasn’t for Vonnie! She helped me get a membership & now I take personal training sessions with her. She’s amazing at working with you & helping you set/reach your goals! Highly recommend signing up with Vonnie!!

Sadly had to move away from this gym. Always super clean and friendly staff. Vonnie is an awesome trainer and would always help give me pointers and advice to help me reach my fitness goals. Its hard to come by a trainer that actually cares about you. Definitely reccomend this gym to anyone trying to get real results.

Super clean, organized, and friendly environment to be part of. Left other local gym after 5 years and am completely satisfied. Huge bonus here is a Body scanning machine that takes a minute to use called Styku. One of the trainers that I had done some classes with, Vonnie< had encouraged me to try it and I was blown away by the specific data it gives you. Then we talked about my personal goals and added them to the program and it provided recommendations on how to achieve those goals through added exercise and diet. Along with some different exercises and stretches that Vonnie took me through it was a great motivational step not found at other gyms.

I have been a Charter member of this gym since it opened last year, and I wouldnt go anywhere else. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and if there is ever an issue or question, it gets addressed directly. I use their tanning services and its nice going into this gym, being greeted by name, and feeling like Im more than just a member, and even when I see the staff outside of the gym, they are just as friendly and caring.

Needs to be keep clean the equipment is extremely dirty nothing is ever cleaned except for us who wipe it off before and after use. I have been going I guess 6 months now.. oh they vacuum I dont use use the shower area.

New equipment, not too busy if you dont go during rush hour and adapt your workout. Messy free weight area and organized poorly for floorspace. Decent, clean, cheap, open 24/7.

If you dont mind guests walking around shirtless and barefoot while using gym equipment in an unsafe manor putting other guests at danger this is your spot. The door at night is rarely locked and it seems like it is basically a public gym making paying for it obsolete.

I have been going to this gym since August 2019. I’m definitely disappointed in the staff. I have complained in person to the staff about paper towels and toilet paper in the bathroom. I come in everyday around 4 am and the restroom is usually in disarray. Frequently out of toilet paper like this morning. The paper towels were very low probably because people using them for toilet paper. If you come in during staffing hours you can almost guarantee two young people will be sitting at the front desk on their phones. What has happened to our gym?

Just joined this morning through the Health First program, activefit. Called to see if I needed anything for my first visit. Young man was very annoyed by my call and seemed put out that he had to answer my simple questions. Not a good start since I have not even walked in the door!

No free session with a personal trainer that is a lie they put you on a machine and show you how fat you are. They do not show you how to use the machines or anything. Staff is not too helpful or comforting. :-(

Ive lost 43 lbs. in less than six months thanks to Vonnie Howard who is the best trainer I could ever have asked for! And besides our personal sessions I have also attended her HIIT and Sprint 8 classes which are great! I have been a member of WOA Merritt Island since September 2018 and have worked very successfully with Vonnie since then. Vonnie is hands down the best!She is amazing in so many ways and makes the time fly by! This is not an easy thing to do. She is the perfect combination of motivational, tough, supportive and oh so funny. She wont bore you with anatomy or stuff that you dont necessarily need to know. However, if you want to geek out on it, she knows it all and will talk with you about it. I personally just want the workout. She has no ego and just wants whats best for you. She has years of personal training experience and it completely shows. She has so much knowledge on clean eating choices and how to properly train the body to achieve the results you are looking for.Ladies, dont worry about becoming bulky with weights, she will help you create a sculpted lean body. She understands that fine balance of feminine and strength. I have seen the positive changes on my own body and I love it. Gentlemen, she will know how to train you as well if you are looking to gain muscle, strength and just get the overall beach bod.Beyond her knowledge, professionalism and experience, Vonnie is fundamentally a great person who truly cares about you. She loves what she does and it shows.

Hi.I’ve been coming to this gym since they open and I like it.A few months ago I sent a direct message thru Facebook asking if the volume of the music could be turn down a notch, I like to listen to audio books thru out my work out(which I no longer do in the gym)I started to listen to music instead😊. Now I find myself keeping my work outs shorter because the music is too loud, it forces people subconsciously to use their own headphones in a higher volume.I would like for the representatives of this facility to keep a mind full that listening to loud music can damage the ear drums, cause headaches and anxiety.Folks don’t realize how high they have to listen to their own music so loud because subconsciously the brain makes you do what you need to do, to adapt to an environment to feel “comfortable”.
