Life is crazy busy right now so I had Richards close my pool this first season. What would have taken us all day, took them 45 minutes. Thanks guys! They also installed our pool in about 3 hours. Great bunch of guys!

Amazing company. Estimator was was fantastic. When the crew showed up they immediately went to work. They were here for 2 days, both above 90 degrees. These guys worked their tales off and were very pleasurable to work with. Very professional! I would recommend them to anyone.

They installed my new pool this past spring and were very helpful in showing me how to set up and maintain. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I will also be using them to open and close the pool each season as well.

4 men from Richards came and installed a pool in my backyard yesterday. They were in and out within a few hours and worked their butts off in the rain to get it done. Very polite and professional and we could barely hear them in the yard. The entire process was didn’t take long. They scheduled us in quickly in the busiest pool season and were there exactly when they said they would be. Cannot recommend them enough and we will definitely be using them for any future pool needs!

Richards installed our pool and did an AMAZING job! They arrived earlier than originally expected and they worked non stop to complete the installation. I was super impressed by their professionalism and Dave our installer was very knowledgeable. I would HIGHLY recommend Richards if you are lucky enough to get a pool during this pandemic since most are on back order.

I got in contact with Mr. Richard himself. In October. To put a new liner in our pool. sent him pictures, (multiple pictures )of our deck to see if he could even do it .he said no problem. He came out here the end of may . He talk to my husband in the morning before he came out. Had a very bad attitude, no customer skills. Then he showed up at 12:30 with a bad attitude. After his negativity about everything, I kicked him out of my property. Definitely do not recommend the owner. On a bright side their secretaries were awesome.

Richards pool installed our pool last week & what an outstanding company to deal with. Not only was the owner here to do the work but the crew worked extremely hard to get it done! Not only on time but everything went as promsed! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! They will be the only company we will deal with. They all went above & beyond. Thanks again guys!

Customer service: I had to call repeatedly to get someone to return my call f9r service. When someone would answer, I would have to repeat my requests over and over again becausethey did not keep records and someone different always answer the phoneThey made multiple appointments with me and didnt show up. The son, John, told me that the service I needed wasnt that serious. I had to tell him that what I needed was serious to me or else I would not have been calling them for service.The father talked in a condescending fashion and assumed that I couldnt afford the service that I wanted and needed. I would highly recommend spending your money with a company that will value you and your patronage. Richards Pools isnot that place

Very unprofessional. Destroyed my backyard and sprinkler system. Left a ton of sand at the end of my driveway. They told me they’d clean it up but never did. Would not recommend. One of my best friends works for them and he told me that for every bad review they get they just write a fake “good review”

Did a great job setting up the pool. But they absolutely destroyed my yard, landscaping and sprinkler system.

They installed my pool as contracted on July 28th 2016 was at that time satified with there work. had them come out and close pool in Oct of 2016 after removing about 1ft of water to get below skimmer they put the cover on and used twine. during the winter heavy winds bent pool and the liner came off notified them in Feb of pool damage with pics never heard from them contacted Water WAY in Portage where we purchased pool they recommed Richards sent pics to them eas informed that they did a shabby job on closeing and was not to manufactors sepefications. Richards wanted another $375.00 to fix the problem. I felt they did not do the job right so they should stand behind there work. They refused so I will not recommed them to anyone and will tell anyone intrested to find someone else. A -10 for there work.

Called over a month in advance to get an estimate and to set an appointment to get a liner installed. Called a couple more times closer to the date to make sure I have everything ready(deck taken apart/pool drained ect.) The day they where supposed to come they call and cancel after being rude on the phone very disappointed

Where to even start. We had originally scheduled our pool to be installed July 13. A man named Alex called me and answered all of our questions. The communication seemed seamless. They called to see if we would be available to have it installed a week early (amazing news for us!) Jaimie (foreman or possible owner) took care of us. His punctuality was on point, his crew was professional. We had a quick storm pass through and Jaimie stayed in the pool working by himself.* His work ethic is very ADMIRABLE.Dont see too many companies like this anymore . The man seems to like PERFECTION.*will update once pool is filled and in working co dition***Very minimal destruction of our backyard.

They replaced my pool liner. Everything seems ok with it but it was unprofessional of them to leave the old liner behind laying my yard.

Richards came out to replace the liner on my 30ft above ground pool. They did a great job. They were professional and did the job quickly. We are very happy with our new liner. I spoke with owner several times over the phone with questions and he always was helpful and I never felt like I was bothering him.

Star rateing might change after they put my pool in.

They installed a new liner for me last year around this time. It had some wrinkles in it and whatnot, but not a big deal. Then a hose came off this season and my water went down revealing holes in the liner where the bolt heads are on the skimmer panel. I called, the guy said “I guarantee there’s no holes there” as I’m staring at holes. I’m going to call back tomorrow and offer to send pics, will update this if they decide to stand by their work.

They had our pool up and done within 4 hours....all boxes were stacked in one area. All employees were extremely nice. Very happy with our Richards Pool Service experience

This company installed our pool and has summerized and winterized it for two years now. Very pleased with the work and prices. I would recommend them.

They quoted us for both pools that left bc they said they couldnt close dl our size of pool and the other one was a regular size above ground. Would not recommend, poor service, poor communication.

Jamie and his crew just finished installing our pool and they did an amazing job. Nice group of guys, they worked hard, were focused on doing a great job and cleaned up everything. Communication with Richards was easy and they made the process quick and easy. The turn around time was surprisingly quickly from start to finish. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend Richards for an install. They did a good job with the pool itself but horrible install on the mechanicals. The power cord for my water heater and oxygen generator would not reach the outlet. Also, the oxygen generator was incorrectly installed. After paying extra for the install I had to rearrange and reconfigure the mechanicals. I called Dave and sent pictures but he seemed disinterested. In addition, I was overcharged for sand. During the initial estimate I was told by Dave that he would have to charge me for two separate loads of sand because his dump truck wouldnt hold enough. Only one load was delivered. After the install I was left with all the boxes, water bottles, and lunch garbage to discard.Bob W

Had them out to open our pool and what a disaster! Said everything was all hooked up. We filled pool and all the hoses leaked . The filter is not even a year old so hoses are not old. Clamps were left lose causing water to run right out. We were told they would be back to vacuum the pool only to find out it’s an added fee on top of the $300 we already paid. If you want to be complete ripped off and mislead this “company” is for you. Glad we didn’t use them for our pool install. If I could give zero stars I would.

We had our pool installed in 2018 in July. About 2 weeks after install we noticed portions of our liner were sinking. We called Richards and they assured us it was normal. The weeks went on and the liner kept sinking, so we called them and they came out to look, they told us it was sinking pretty bad but theyd provide us with a quote to fix it. I told them Im not paying them a dime as I paid them to survey the property, install the pool, and level the ground. They said it wasnt their fault. So angrily I went to water way.Eric at waterway contacted Richards and got them to come out and fix it. Richards came out, after we emptied our pool, and added something to the holes, they made it very clear they would not be back to fix it again unless we paid them. So we close the pool, the following spring we had holes in the same spots they fixed and it keeps sinking. Now we have to have EVERYTHING they did completely redone.They dont stand behind their work, they dont do the work they do well, and theyll leave you with the bill to fix their mistakes. TLDR is I wouldnt trust them to service my dogs kiddie pool.

Jamie and his crew did an awesome job! From the time I started dealing with Richards Pool Services and Jennifer to the planning and installation the communication was great. They were professional and neat as they cleaned up after themselves. Jamie went through the process of showing me how everything worked and told me to call if I had any questions. Great job on our new pool. We had Richards Pool come and replace our old pool. They were actually able to come earlier than planned and completed the job in one afternoon. I would recommend them because they were professional and courteous. They even did a great job cleaning up at the end.

I would recommend them to anyone getting a pool installed. Jamie and his crew were very nice and the attention to detail was outstanding. If I could give 10 stars I would.

They installed our pool and took the time to explain how to easily care for it and how the pump works. They were amazing from start to finish.

They just did my new pool install. What a wonderful crew. everyone had a job, and they did it professionally and on-time. Everyone from Jennifer, Sieg, and the install crew where courteous and professional. And what a great job they did. As far as the backfill and such, it states in the contract that they are not responsible for that unless otherwise specified. I chose to do this myself and completely understood the terms BEFORE service was started. Thanks guys! Really looking forward to my new pool! I would HIGHLY recommend. On a further note, I almost cancelled this company due to the lack of and poor ratings on various sites. What a mistake that would have been. Ill only use Richards if needed in the future. I will be seeing them in the fall to close my pool based on my experience with this install.

Needed a new liner, they came and tore out old, then left saying it was going to be too much work and they werent going to install it bc there is a part of the pool that is caved in and they cant get to bc of the deck. Asked them how much would it be to get it done (cut deck back and fix cave in) and they said they arent coming back. Never came out for an estimate if the first place...that should have been our first clue. Waited 2 weeks for this and now we are left with a big mess....cant even fill and just do patching.

I bought my pool from the great escape, being new to the area I new nothing of the local pool installers but soon found out the hard way. Richards pool service arrived late to install my pool, they overcut my yard which left me with a larger than originally estimated (by their estimator) pile of dirt. They installed my pool in less than one afternoon and told me to begin filling. Shortly after the filling began the sand began to settle and by the time the pool was filled it was already leaking through the return drain gaskets as the liner had pulled. When they removed at additional cost the fill dirt they destroyed my landscaping and back yard which cost me an additional 1800 dollars to have repaired and my pool leaked all summer the first year. I would not recommend them to install anything.

Richards installed a new liner, filter, and heater 3 years ago. At that time everything went well. But now only 3 years later the shut off valve to the heater they installed is leaking. So we called them to come fix it. Was told first off $150.00 to just show up plus parts. We said ok but after waiting 2 weeks for the appt. they show up just to tell us they dont have the parts to fix it after I clearly explained what was wrong. Then the kid who had no interest in being here said he would get the part and be back within two days max. We never heard from them again. Even after leaving them several messages they never returned our call or came to fix the valve. This company is garbage and we will never use them again.

I called them in 2016 to close my pool. First time I used them and very expensive for a closing. I accepted the cost as I was a first time customer. So, I called them for my opening in 2017. She gave me a date but, no appointment time? Theres the first red flag right there! I told her ok. Well, she called the night before and asked if we were ready to go and I said yes. I told her all I need is a time and then she proceeded to tell me that they will call when they our on their way! Well, second red flag. Needless to say they never showed up or called. I called them to express my feelings about this and never have gotten a call back or an apology! How sad this has become to own a business now a days and treat people with such disrespect! Ive called every pool company to let them know to NEVER recommend Richards for any pool service.

Called on a thurs, set up appt for following Monday to remove old torn cover and replace with new one. Simple job cost about $320. Tl I told them on phone I work 8-430pm m-f and because their hours are 8-4 i would call back a day or so after the job was done to pay when I could grab a break at worj. Ive used them before and paid no problem. Between the time the job was done Mon afternoon and Wed morning I had about 10 calls, texts and rude voicemails saying theyve called several times and need payment immediately. I understand needing to pay, however after youre about to collect $320 from me I dont appreciate rude voicemails 1-2 days later after i explained I cannot answer my phone at work and work longer hours than your store is even open. If i hadnt paid in a week or more I understand, but it feels really insulting to get multiple voicemails as if Im avoiding payment immediately for a job that was way over priced to begin with, especially since Ive been a paying customer before. Office woman handling calls is extremely rude, and even had the serviceman, who was really polite ay least, call for payment. I dont know if its her, or the boss making the rule to hound customers like that, but because of this they lost a customer. Also left old cover and box new one came in on the ground in my yard. For $320 i would expect disposal wouldnt be too much to ask for. Go elsewhere for more affordable and friendly service.

Thank you Jamie & crew for an excellent job on our pool installation Friday, 6/14/13. You came as scheduled on time 8:30am, and was done by 2pm. My family, friends & I were all amazed at how well all of you worked together. Everyone seemed to have a job and did it. No one had to be told or ordered around. Very energetic, friendly, mannerly guys. I thank you Jamie for being so knowledgeable & patient with us, for we knew NOTHING about pools. You took the time to explain each step of getting the pool ready. (Chemicals, backfilling, care, etc.) You explained how important it is to wait until pool is full BEFORE backfilling. You used that Bobcat like a pro. My yard was not damaged and only 1 foot additional around pool was excavated and that dirt was piled around the pool in areas to make backfilling easier.
