Always a great place to eat. They also have parking across the street. Place has a lot of seating and great go functions. I’d recommend to anyone looking for good food and especially pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. They also have parking across the street for your convenience.

Just spent $70.00 on lunch, we came home to eat it only to find a wooden sandwich skewer sticking up out of a Philly cheesesteak!!!!! Could’ve choked or stabbed my boyfriend’s son in the mouth. I cannot believe the irresponsibility of such an oversight. As you can see the skewer is large!!! When I called the store to share this, I had to speak to three different people only to hear them tell me “it was meant to keep the sandwich together “. No apology, no sign of ownership, just affirmation that it’s a wooden toothpick. Such a lax attitude for a business to have!

The corned beef and cabbage dinner was disappointing because although the meat was good, the cabbage was very undercooked and couldnt even be cut easily. So the blending of tastes didnt happen...and it cost a steep $27. Wont go there again.

Person behind the counter was less than courteous, definite attitude. Bought a pound of pastrami and pound of corned beef, could not tell the difference between the two due to lack of flavor. At $30/lb expect a much better quality...been coming here for years, very disappointed.

I’m so disappointed ☹️!!!! I’ve eaten there in the past with no problems. Today I ordered a pastrami sandwich. The meat was so tough it was like chewing on a rubber band!!! The bread wasn’t fresh as well as hard to eat. I would have returned it but I don’t lived in the area! I don’t usually do reviews but $17 this was a horrible experience!

We ordered pastrami on rye. Pastrami was lean and plentiful. I had matzo ball soup, it was delicious. Grilled chciken ceaser salad I was told was very good. I highly reccomend.

I absolutely love the pastrami from this restaurant. The prices are not cheap but the food is totally worth it. I have been eating knishes all my lift, the square knishes here are the best I have ever had. Even the pickles and the mustard are great. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Great place. It has Potato knishs, Spinach knishs, and of course Pastrami knishs. They are all worth a bite. They are good people. Something wasnt put in our bag, we left, and out in the parking lot a man came over from the restaurant and told us. We went back and they gave us something special for free because they did not add it. Good place to go

I walked in purchased corned beef and bread, then i asked for a piece of apple strudel from a large piece sitting in a glass container, but there was a leftover piece alongside same container,iasked the lady serving me to cut off a piece from the whole strudel, a gentleman took the whole showcase in back and cut it there, when i got home after dinner i cut a piece of this strudel, it was old and didnt taste right,,,,Folks, when you ask for an item, such as a piece of strudel, why is it you have to take the tray and hide the fact of cutting or in this case giving the customer the left over piece...never, ever going back to Pastrami King.......

Excellent Matzoh ball soup, stuffed derma, and Pastrami sandwich...not to mention great coleslaw, delicious garlic pickles, and very friendly service.

I had to try this place because a friend said it was the best pastrami he had on Long Island. So, I drive 15 miles to check it out. The owner Joe happened to be nearby and he walked me through my choices. I settled on a classic combination sandwich; pastrami and corned-beef on rye, a potato knish (baked), a hot cherry pepper and a couple of sweet and sour pickles. Cream soda to wash it down. MAN!! What a meal. The pastrami and corn beef was awesome (I nearly bit my finger on one of the bites). I will be back ... 👍👍

We ordered the hot pastrami, hot brisket of beef and a matzo ball soup. The sandwiches ok. The soup was terrible. My mom has been making it for me since I was a kid. This soup was like as if they used a canned chicken noddle soup, warmed it up and tossed 1 matzo ball in it. Not a real recipe. Not worth the money. We will never go back.

Excellent! We tried this place for the first time today. Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and made with care. Even packed with the utmost care for our delivery. Homemade and hot. Reminds me of old N.Y. We had the stuffed cabbage appetizer which was simply incredible. Knishes were delicious. Potato pancakes and mushroom barley soup made with love. The thin sliced pastrami sandwich was the best ive ever tasted! Even the pickles take me back to my childhood. Next time well try more menu items. Do not miss this place!!!

We live in Suffolk County where good food and consistently good food are scarce and not often enough paired together when reviewing restaurants. We stopped at this Nassau County eatery based on a recommendation from an attorney in Queens. The recommendation was spot on! We started off with matzah ball soup (delicious and very homemade tasting). We then ordered latkas and each of us had an overstuffed pastrami and beef brisket sandwich which were served with an ample amount of their fabulous coleslaw and pickles! Service was professional and delivery was with a smile. We cant wait to return!!!

Theoretically speaking, no one should get in the business of Pastrami unless they plan on going all out. The bar is very high. However Pastrami King lives up to the name.Personally, Im a purist. Pastrami on Rye with Mustard complimented with a Coke. The meat was so juicy and the bread was perfect as if it was made the same day. The sandwich was large enough for two to eat (a good way to save money) and I didnt get any sides as I knew it would be too much. Every bite was a brief moment in heaven. I had to stop myself from over eating it was so good.Simply put, go and enjoy the best Pastrami Sandwich Merrick has to offer...

Pastrami sandwich was delicious. I’m from Brooklyn so I’m used to Katz and David’s Brisket House but this meat is absolutely delicious.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch. Pastrami was very good but could have been a little bit leaner. Portion size was really generous - you pay for it but... generous anyway. The place was clean and the toilets serviceable. The only downside was the server who reacted like he was doing us a favor by serving our table. Maybe just a bad day.

Pricing is excellent for what you get. Came hungry leaving happy.😊

I truly cannot say enough good about this place. We just had a party here for my sons 1st birthday, and everything was exceptional. The food was amazing, the pricing was great, the service was outstanding. The waitstaff went above and beyond. The space was beautiful, and perfect was our 35 guests. Every single guest was so pleased with their food and experience.This was the most stress-free party I have ever thrown, because they truly took care of all the details. My family and I were so happy to have found Pastrami King. It truly has a family-oriented feel.

The ambiance is very old, but in a good way. It reminds me of a very old, family owned deli. The food was amazing! I had the corned beef sandwich with fries and both were very tasty and filling. Highly recommend going here for a special occasion

Always a yummy experience at Pastrami King without the trip and hassle of Manhattan. The pastrami and sour pickle combo is my favorite sandwich as a Fathers Day tribute to my Papi. Definitely worth the money and worth the trip. The service is also wonderful. Very nice staff.

Every time I come to NY from Boston I have to hit this place. They truly are the pastrami king- no doubt about it. I usually get take out from here, but the dining room is lovely as well. The prices are absolutely reasonable, if not too low for the quality of the food youre getting. The staff is always super kind, even when it takes me forever to figure out everything I want! I cant wait to come back soon!

I’m a first time visitor to NY and a local suggested I try Pastrami King for a Pastrami on Rye with mustard and a half sour pickle. It was AWESOME and the service is first class. GRATEFUL

Pastrami was good pickles tasted bad the cashier was not friendly at all snooty and no customer service courtesy at all not even a thank you or have a good day did not inquire on whether we wanted any toppings on the sandwiches. All in all will not go there again.too bad, I used to think they were the best.

This is one one the few places where you can get a real pastrami sandwich This place is real. No Boars Head here. All of the other stuff is just as good.They have good real potato pancakes, home made turkey and roast beef. Simply delicious but pricey.

Pastrami and brisket was better than higher priced restaurants. The fries are made from fresh potatoes, that is why they appeared mushy and old. Most folks have never seen fries cooked from fresh potatoes.

Yes, this place has great pastrami. Coming from NYC, I thought I would not find a place like this on the island. Their cheesecake is also first class.

Sometimes depending on who takes your order at the take out counter the price changes for the same exact item, and its not a seasonal thing it could be something as simple as a soup or regular sandwich. When placing your order sometimes the workers cutting the meats on the other side Intervene speaking in there native language which at times can be a little uncomfortable when discussing pricing. Other than that the food, service, and all else is Good.

Have a craving for some traditional Jewish cuisine? Not looking to do your typical Bens run? This is the place. Has a take out counter as well as sit down. Sit down is a little stuffy but nothing to extensively complain about probably just needs a updated decor and a more relaxed vibe.
