Brought my 91 Mustang in for subframeconnectors to tighten up the suspension and owner Jerry and his son did a phenomenal job! They took my car in right away and did it in record time, the quality of the work is second to none and I couldnt be happier! Both Jerry and his son are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and up front with everything!, The shop is very clean and well run with extremely reasonable prices!I love that they are a full repair shop not just for muscle cars but also newer models as well! Its hard to find a good honest mechanic these days and in A-1 I have found that!

Nice guys, quick repair and fair prices.

It is costing and will still cost me more money to repair or replace everything that was done to my car. Both front lower control bushings are coming out of the arms causing rubbing against the frame. Rear upper control arm bolt was loose. Pan hard bar bolt so overtightened that it broke off while I was driving the car. The bolt that was installed to replace it was completely the wrong on causing binding. Rear coil insulators not installed and one spring was not installed properly causing the coil to rub against the frame. I was told that everything that was worn in the front was replaced only to find that the outer tie rods need replacement. This shop is a disaster that needs to be avoided. Now its costing me a lot to undo all of this mess. My car was worked on over a year ago and since its a classic I dont put a lot of mileage on it. What a expensive mess to repair. After looking at the suspension my car is unsafe to drive. I will now have to pay to undo all this incompetent work fixed.Update: Now that Ive save some money I put my car on my friends lift. I found the new shock absorbers and upper ball joints need to be replaced also. This shop replaced these items and now the both front shocks are bleeding hydraulic fluid and the lower bushings are falling out. As for the two front upper ball joints, both grease boots are mangled, exposing the joint. My one year old tires need to be replace because of previous suspension work done by this shop.Everything that this shop touched I have to repair or replace myself. This has become a very expensive project.

The staff is one of the best Ive ever dealt with. Not only didnt they assure me they could handle the repair they also were up front and honest. As most of you know honesty is very hard to come by these days. Most business car about the profit, these guys made it about my car and getting me back on the road. I am forever in debt to you and your staff thanks again!

These guys were professional, helpful and courteous. They were also very honest. They tested my car and found nothing wrong with my transmission and didnt even charge me a diagnostic fee. Would recommend them to everyone!!!!

The best transmission place on Long Island period. Got it faster than expected. Fair pricing. The car was stuck had to get it towed for a transmission repair. Called around in a panic. Took the time to go home and call A1 transmission. Used them before. Glad I did make that call. Thanks Jerry and crew!!!!
