I am very happy with the service provided by Idaho Water Solutions. They came out and ran a free water analysis and explained what it meant and how to remedy the issue. Our water was extremely hard and had all kinds of chemicals in it. It had a strong chlorine smell and tasted horrible. They explained about reverse osmosis and installing a whole house filter. We researched everything before going with this company, and I am so glad we did. They offered competitive pricing, actually lower than most, and were able to schedule our installation within a week. The installer was so personable and informative. He installed our whole house filter and kitchen reverse osmosis system within 3 hours. I would highly recommend this company to others. We often are complacent about our water, but if it contains unwanted chemicals, it can do so much damage to your house’s plumbing not to mention your long term health. Have your water tested! We were over the Boise hard water spots on our new fixtures and sinks/showers, restricted faucet flow from build up, the rings in our toilets, and the smell in our laundry room. Josh did a great job explaining the softeners (US made) he offered and what their benefits were. We went with the more expensive Evolve unit because it is just that much better (only about $300 more). Weve only had it a couple of days now and have been very satisfied with its performance! Josh was exceptional in his communication and installation. Hes not a pushy salesman so there wasnt any pressure to buy. This system came with a free $300 whole house carbon filter, and after shopping around, his prices are the best in the valley too!! This is a local professional company that knows the water in this area. I dont need a forever warranty and a $7000 price tag, its just a water softener system at the end of the day.This experience has been one of the best here by a business in Boise. Our old water softener didn’t seem to be working properly so I called Idaho Water Solutions. Donnie came out and quickly confirmed my suspicions, the softener needed to be replaced. Donnie provided an over view of how softeners work and provided a couple of options. After reading customer reviews and conferring with a close friend, who had used Idaho Water Solutions in the past, I ordered a new softener. Idaho Water Solutions called and we set an installation date. Two days later our new softener was installed. We inherited our water softener/ RO system when we purchased our house in June, 2020. Idaho Water Solutions installed the system back in 2017, so I called them and ask to have someone come out and check the system and educate me on what I need to do in order to maintain it. Several years ago Josh installed a soft water system at our house. I didn’t know what I had been missing! We are new in town and wanted to make sure all the systems in our home were operating and in good condition. I had no idea who to call but noticed Joshs number was written in the water softener manual left by the former owner. I read many of their reviews and made the call. Donny came out to check out my system. Some of the settings were incorrect and Donny adjusted them so the system delivered softened water again. He explained everything about the local water and I decided to have a RO system installed under the kitchen sink. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable explaining the principles of hard and soft water and pointed us in the right direction as far as our needs were concerned. We compared several companies, they had the best price, warranty and online ratings. We bought the Triple Treat system with the softener and whole house filter. Very pleased with the system and their Customer support. I would definitely recommend them in the future!

We also have had to give up on them after we spent $3,200.00 for a iron filtration system and RO system for our cabin in Idaho city. We have left Josh 10 voice mails and texts and he does not respond. The system does not take the iron out of the water. The system was back washing at the wrong time and he would not ever return our 10 calls and texts. I asked him to e--mail us the owners manuals and he kept saying he sent them over 5 requests and 5 times having him repeat the e-mail address back to us. We never got the manuals. The canister they installed also sits crooked and not straight up and true.

We contacted Idaho Water Solutions (Josh) in need of having our Water Softener serviced asap, it had some issues. Josh was very informative and was able to schedule an appointment the next day. The next day Donny appeared on time and fixed our system. He took the time to educate us on what we needed to know and did a great job at a VERY reasonable price. Bottom line, I would give them 10 stars if I could.

After 18 years of a very expensive but non-performing water softener, unanswered phone calls, service calls that improved nothing, rude employees and a RO system that wouldnt fill a glass of water in under 10 minutes (so into the garbage went $1000.00) from Kinetico, we went looking for something better. The reviews for this company led us to give them a try. Josh, Christian, and Don were everything we were hoping for. Josh came out to see what we might need and sent our well water out for testing (saving me both time and money) before helping us choose the right system. With the results back, he let us know what would work best and went over what would happen with the installation (we needed a workaround) and had Christian set up the appointment. The day of the installation we got a call that wed need to reschedule for the next week due to an emergency situation an existing customer was having. I really appreciated the care they were showing their customer (unlike our experiences with Kinetico) so it was another plus in my book. Yesterday Don came and installed our water softener. He didnt look like a contortionist, but was able to do amazing work in a very tight and crowded space. While installing our new RO system, another custom job (which made us laugh...and Ill never forget to use that term when what I mean is pain in the butt), he changed where the system drained so we wouldnt hear the system working and go crazy from the sounds, he fixed a leak we didnt know was there, and also pointed out another problem that needed attention. He didnt have the tools to fix it, but made sure we understood how to take care of it ourselves. This is a long review, but wanted to include the things I REALLY appreciate but find lacking in most businesses these days. If you care about the same things, this is the company for you.

We appreciate that Josh keeps a record of when our various filters need changing and always calls to get the change set up. The technician who came out, fortunately, asked how the softener was doing and I told him - not so hot. He checked it out and was able to calibrate it and we now can tell the difference in the water. Dont need near as much soap. So glad they came out.

Our water from our well is simply dreadful. We have tried filters, softeners, ozone generators, holding tanks, etc. (read this - we spent a whole lot of money with less than satisfactory results). We purchased a water softener system and reverse osmosis water system from Josh at Idaho Water Solutions about a year ago and had only good experiences. The price was half of what Costcos contracted company (Ecosystem) wanted to charge. Josh showed up same day that I called to explain what he had to offer as well as the cost, and installed it in a couple of hours that same week. About 6 months after we had it one of the valves up top started to drip water fairly regularly. Called Idaho Water Solutions up and they came out and replaced it with a new valve free of charge. I would definitely recommend these guys.

This company seems to be attentive at first. I had a water softener system installed in my home as well as a reverse osmosis system. The unit is fairly loud when it goes through its cycle and seems to do an okay job. The problem lies trying to get service when youve have a problem with your system. Numerous calls and several months passed before I actually got my system fixed. Now I see why they are more reasonable than other companies.

Josh and his crew are awesome. The system is a really nice change from our incredibly hard water. Its nice to know that if we have any questions or problems they are there to help. You cant go wrong with these guys.

We are on a private well in Emmett and typical of wells in Emmett we had an iron problem and rotten egg smell. Initial installation and function of the iron zapper was exactly what we needed. No more stained toilets, clothes, etc. Then earlier this year one morning the water was the color of iced tea. The filter system had dumped its entire filtration system into our home. Called Josh and later that week he came out and bleached the system and made some changes to the settings. Things were fine until the next scheduled backwash and then our water was again discolored and staining our toilets etc. Another call to Josh to let him know the problem was not fixed. I made setting changes he suggested but our water was still discolored after every scheduled backwash. Voice messages and texts have gone unanswered for 2 months now. I even called the manufacturer and told them what was happening. They had no suggestions other than they said they would get Josh to call me or they would call me back. No response from either for a week. The system is obviously broken and needs to be replaced. Im assuming that is why I get no response from anyone. If I hear from anyone I will update my review with whatever the solution is if there is one. My gut tells me this is going to cost me more money for something that was working but is now broken.Update:Just wanted to post an update to my previous post. Since posting my earlier review Idaho Water Solutions has come out and replaced the material tank on our iron filter along with installing an anti back flow. Since they replaced the tank and added the back flow device we now have crystal clear water again. No more stained toilets and clothing plus for the first time since we built our house we are able to drink the water right from the faucet. No more bottled water!!!! They believe the problem was in the bottom of the tank itself where there is a cup that can collapse allowing unfiltered water to escape into the house water. Im upgrading to 3 stars from one because I believe the technology works amazing.I dont feel I can go higher than 3 because of the issues with communication and the time frame it took to get it resolved. Thank you Josh for replacing our tank and getting our water back for us.

They were great installing our Reverse Osmosis and Water Softener and made sure it was done right. They respond to every request I make very quickly and if needed someone is sent out as soon as possible.
