This was my first time buying a car out of state, I worked with Heather and Destiny and both were amazing through the entire process. It can be nerve wrecking to buy a car sight unseen from another state but the car was delivered and arrived as expected! I was very happy from beginning to end and the people I worked with were honest and great!
I arrived at 8 am for a part replacement on a recall for my tacoma. I was told it would only take 2 hours cool. At 11pm I was watching other customers come and go. So I walked into the service department and asked about my truck. There answer was we havent started on it itll be a few hours. So I was told to be there at 8 and Id be done by 10:30.... ha they could call me and at least gave me an excuse. John oNeil Johnson Toyota..... your better than that.
Rental area is great. Good job Shelby
Brittany is the greatest... she fixed my problems within 5 min and explained thing to me. I would not hesitate to go back if I ever needed anything.
If I could give zero stars I would. Buying from them was a great experience! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Now that I have a question about my warranty with them, I can’t get anyone to call me back. I have called 8 times and left voicemails in the last three weeks with no return call. I do not live in meridian and can not go to the store as we live 2 hours away. If I could go back we would not have bought from them. They are great until after they got the sale and money.
I sincerely appreciate the help that the service department team provided. I drove into Meridian from out of town. During my drive, the cover to my gas tank broke, so I was unable to refill my car with gas. Also, my tire pressure warning light came on. It was a very stressful situation for me in an unfamiliar city. The service department helped me with my gas tank and aired up my tires in less than 15 minutes. They were lifesavers for me.
Youre better off going to an honest local mechanic these guys are crooks i asked about simple oil leak at a certain location and they wanted to charge me more for other leaks that they claim that i had replaced already. these guys are crooks every last one of them all they care about is a dollar.
Nice people quick service. Go buy a Toyota there.
They didnt rotate my tires. I told them when I pulled up.
Excellent customer service in the service department. Penny went above and beyond to help me! Tracy is also amazing. Definitely recommend this place.
Phil Priester the best 👌❤
Getting my car fixed at this dealership is a continuing nightmare. DO. NOT. GO. HERE. Horrible service when it comes to both completing repairs as well as their communication with the customer. I broke down in January and had to replace the transmission. They charged me an exorbitant price only to find that when I got my car back the problem wasn’t fixed. I had to fight to get them to fix it again (luckily had the backing of a local dealership which notified me about other things they BROKE in my vehicle upon installing the new transmission) and the second time they had my car for over FOUR months. They never called me to update me and in the rare moments I could get someone on the phone they were always lying about the status and making excuses. Upon having my car for less than a month I was having issues again and my local dealership again informed me none of the problems should be happening if the original issue was fixed and furthermore it could be a safety issue. Now I can’t get someone at Johnson O’Neil to call me back for the life of me and after paying $3600 my car is still not fixed. Toyota should be embarrassed to call this a dealership. They do not care about the quality of the job and safety of their customers in the least.
Tracy in the service department exceeds my expectations every time I deal with her. I highly recommend this dealership for any of your service needs.
The service guy was amazing! Did a great job & excellent customer service. I was just a little disappointed all the other Toyota shops run your car theiugh a wash & vacuum it out when they service it.
Got approved for a Tahoe and was told to be there at 9:30 to sign paperwork, we got there and then was finally told oh I am sorry we sold it last night. How can you run someone’s credit and approve them for a vehicle and then sale it out from under them! We drove two hours out of our way!
Really like my new /used vehicle, HOWEVER, we were looking at a couple of different cars & did our research & loan application before going to dealership. Monday we were greeted by Chrissy who was VERY accommodating about our questions and said they would wash it & fill it up if we went with this car. As we were working the arrangements out to purchase this USED vehicle we were told my husband was eligible for military discount AND they might help with re embursement of registration (as the other dealership offered) We signed all the papers for our We then had to LEAVE the dealership to go to another dealership, where Once more papers needed signing, suddenly there were no concessions on USED vehicles of any kind, also there was only 1 key fob but we could go to Mazda & order another. After all this it took an hour to wash & only put $10 in gas in. We had to fill it the rest of the way ourselves. So, in conclusion Im happy with my purchase in the end but VERY disappointed in the total LACK of fulfillment of negotiations.
I have bought two new trucks from this dealership in the past. First, they really put the full press on you to buy the extended warranties....near twist your arm level. Second, I went in yesterday for a used car for our son. Test drove a 2019 used Toyota Corolla. Decent car with 30k+ miles on it. I submitted an offer as I already had financing. Needless to say, the offer was not even considered. They would not budge a single dime off their asking price. Soured me on the whole experience all over again. I went down the straight to Honda, bought a Civic and was out the door in less than two hours. If Honda made real trucks, then this dealership would never see me again. I may go GMC in the future, good products here, but the dealership stinks.
Loved my saleswoman, she was awesome and set me up wonderfully!
Terrible customer service. Worst Ive ever dealt with i will never buy anything from them again.
They are a terrible team and staff... very rude and uncourteous. I don’t know how they are still in business. Hopefully they shut their doors For good people like this don’t deserve to be in business. Thieves! Crooks! Nasty people! Entire staff is terrible.
Went to trade on 2019 Tacoma trading a 2015 Tacoma extended cab TRD 4x4 with 67,500 miles. KBB trade in value 19,800 to 22,500 they offered 16,500. No good visit on Saturday called back twice on Monday to talk with manager no one called back. Not a honest dealership
Came in for oil change and tire rotation. Excellent service! Asked to tell me what my 2012 truck was worth while I was getting oil change. They said they were to busy to give quote. They are offering buy 3 tires, get one free. Only available on certain brands. Not what came original on truck.
I thought this was a beautiful experience, when we purchased our 2019 Camry from them. Everyone is so nice and courteous, but when they say there going to take care of someone or your vehicle. This is were Toyota and Hyundai drop the ball. No one ever returns phone calls. Customer service is extremely bad, after your car has been purchased. No one wants to take ownership of anything. I hate I really bought this Hyundai
While traveling through Mississippi on I-59, an undercarriage shroud came loose and was dragging on the pavement, smacking the underside of the car, making all kinds of noise. It was 4 pm on Friday when we pulled under the service canopy. The service bays were packed, but they put the car on a rack and fixed the problem within about 15 minutes...at no charge. Extremely friendly, extremely helpful.
VERY VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wouldn’t buy anymore.
I bought my new Rav4 here on April 01, 2019. I was blown away at the Service and ease of making my car deal work. They lowered my car note, and my interest rate. I will definitely be back.
Mark as the absolute best customer service. He will help you find the best fit for you!
Johnson Toyota is one of those places where you trade because it is the only show in town. The dealership is located in an old building with uncomfortable furnishings for service customers. The sales process is long and interesting. When I bought a new RAV4, several things were to happen...they didn’t. When I bring in my cars for service...there is always a long wait. Just seems like there is no boss in the place. When I wanted to buy a genuine Toyota Extended warranty, I was told they don’t sell them...only aftermarket stuff I’ve never heard of. When you bring your car in and get promised a pickup time...you’d better call first. Brought my car in for a 25,000 mile service...told I’d have to wait til 10am to pick the car up... It is 1130 and it’s not done. Bottom line...Johnson Toyota is a mediocre dealership with lots of room for improvement. I’ve bought many Toyota cars since the 1970s...this place stands alone. I wouldn’t buy another car here and will look to see how far it is to another Toyota dealer.
This is my first time leaving a review on a business. This is the WORST place ever. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER TOYOTA!!
Did a good job taking care of us and our car
Some of the personnel could use some mannerism classes. Seems like more mechanics are walking around then working on the vehicles.
I would like to express my gratitude for such a great car buying experience. I am writing to compliment your dealership and especially Stephen Blackwell for going above and beyond my expectations. I love the car!Add me to the list of long term customers! Thanks again!Kathryn Hill
I would advise any one not to purchase a vehicle from this place. The sales team looks very unprofessional, unshaven, dirty clothes and nails. How can anyone trust them to sell them a car when they look like they just rolled out of bed and came to work, very unprofessional. I was talking to this one salesman and he looked to be under the influence of some type of drug, clothes wrinkled, unshaven, and unkept. Just his appearance turned me off with the whole car buying process. Some of the salesman look like criminals. John ONeil needs to do a back ground check into their staff and they need to implement a dress code also.
The guys here are awesome, very fast service and very knowledgeable. They worked above and beyond as a team well pass their work hours to complete the repair on my vehicle. We were from out of town and ended up with diesel instead of regular gas in our car due to a confusion at the pump. We were extremely blessed to run across a great set of guys like them. It was our first time in Mississippi and definately not our last. Thank you for all your help and hospitality. Also, big shout out to my guy West!!! Someone should really give that guy a raise!! Keep up the great job fellas!!!
Megan was the best. I admired her ability to work hard on getting me my dream car. I was really disappointed in how things were handled with the paperwork once I met with Holley. Im working now to see if someone can re-finance my car due to the paperwork that was handled by her and also she has not return my phone calls in regards to some questions I have.
Please use the rental car service here. I think theyre the true sales people at this place. Ive rented here several times. I tell everyone about the vehicle and the service of the rental car associate. Although I havent bought a car yet. I definitely know where my next vehicle will come from.
It was a very rewarding experience. Mark was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the truck I purchased. Everyone I dealt with from choosing the truck through the financing were very nice and professional! I would definitely recommend John ONeil Johnson Toyota to all my friends and Mark Ford as the perfect salesman!
They treated me great
I want to say thank you Judd for the truck we bought our son for his 16th birthday. He showed me the safety features of the vehicle which is a huge plus. 5 Star rating. Also the quickness and ease of everything is unreal. I have bought several new vehicles in the past and must say by far this was the best experience I have ever had. Thanks again to Judd and the whole Toyota Team in Meridian for not only making my childs dream come true but mine also. Thanks,Sean Moss
Justin Clearman#shoplocalI love all 👍hey Clint
Had a bad experience, salesman was very hard to deal with, even though I was ready to buy immediately. Kept me dealing with them for 2 hours during my lunch after I told them what I’d be willing to pay. Came back after work, because they said they would have the paper work finished, and the paperwork wasn’t ready until 7. Ridiculousness. Not to mention how terrible the skill level is in auto shop in the back.
Went to buy a car and met salesman Ricky Drake who proclaimed he needs 200 dollars to buy medication and so I loaned it to him and he wont pay me. I believe he smokes crack.
Amazing customer service in the auto shop part! They fixed our car both times with no issues and amazing customer service! We will definitely come back with any more car repair needs and when we are ready to buy a new one! Thank you!!!
I had a good experience at the dealership. Nell Mathis was a great salesperson. She stayed in contact with me throughout my shopping process, although she knew that I was trying to decide between Toyota and Honda. She made sure that she found what I wanted in my next vehicle. Of course Toyota won!! I just love, love, love my new Camry.
I traded in my Toyota here, and Robert Moore was very helpful, honest, and forthright throughout the process. He was very responsive and thoroughly sought out the details of any questions I had. The rest of the staff was friendly too, and Elroy and Lori were especially helpful.
Excellent service when buying my 2015 Tundra. Cat Owens was knowledgeable about the vehicle and kept me up to date on the trucks in stock while shopping online. She supplied all the information I requested immediately. Completing the sale paperwork was really efficient and only took about 15 minutes. I would highly recommend John ONeil Johnson Toyota to anyone looking for a new vehicle.
Everything seems to take longer than you think it will, so do make an appointment for the service department. Sales staff were professionals. Service staff were pleasant.
Service is good but price is high
I bought a brand new Toyota Tundra pickup from from and it was a beautiful pickup truck and I really loved it the gentleman that sold it to me was very nice and knowledgeable he answer all my questions he made sure that before I left the lot that I had purchased the exact truck that I wanted and exactly what I needed unfortunately two weeks later someone stops right in front of me and the truck was totaled
I had a great experience buying my new Toyota from Nell Mathis of Johnson Toyota. The process was quick, easy, and extremely fair. Nell handed everything in an honest and professional way. I am extremely pleased, and I will be buying from Johnson Toyota again.
Reasonable in and out service. Quality work, informed me of recalls and next visit appointment
Best place in Mississippi to get a vehicle
We dropped off a car and didnt ask slot of questions they had everything
I had a great experience. Everyone was extremely professional and prompt. The salesperson did every thing he could to win my business. I did my due diligence and got 2 other quotes from Jackson and Louisville; neither was as good. I will recommend Johnson Toyota and I will be back. Thanks a bunch.
My wife and I needed two new cars, because ours were getting very old and worn. Robert and J.J. were very helpful. The service was very professional, courteous, and personal. They both went out of their way to get us the best deal. Thanks.
Great place to get a realiable vehicle. Great people and great service.
Philip Holifield at John ONeil Johnson Toyota made the car buying experience easy and enjoyable. Philip answered all of my questions, took care of every detail, and worked hard to get me a good price on my new vehicle. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I will go back to Philip for future vehicle purchases.
Love my new ride. Thank you David Gower for your hard work. Everyone involved was very helpful. Great group of people.
After months of shopping and research for a new vehicle, checking out many makes and models, I finally decided that the Hyundai Tucson was the one. I visited the dealership three times for a test drive, Mr. Ray Payne was very cordial and answered questions all I had. Well, the third time was the charm. I now own a 2016 AWD Tucson Limited
Their prices are too high. I’d love to deal with them, but they are priced way above competing dealerships.
John ONeil Johnson Toyota in Meridian, Mississippi is an interesting dealership. It is rather old style and doesnt seem very up-to-date with the latest Toyota offerings. The new car sales department is interesting. The dealership failed to deliver what it promised me with respect to after-sales issues...but I dont know if they always do that. I wanted a Toyota branded extended warranty, but got some off-brand thing because I was informed they dont sell Toyota Extra Care warranties. The service department seems pretty disorganized to me. Everyone of the technicians are called Assistant Manager so I had no idea who is boss... didnt seem like they knew. When I was told my care needed something repaired or fixed, they couldnt explain why I needed it or what the repair consisted of... Anyway, this is the closest dealer to Meredian, Mississippi so I get to use this dealer.
Great price on great vehicle. Customer service is great. Have already recommended dealership to family and friends. I am a repeat customer :)
The front door sales man was excellent. But the follow up pricing took entirely to Long. And the pricing was far to excessive. Not worth my time.🌩️
We had a great experience shopping for a car! Mark Ford showed us the best deal for the kind of car we were looking for. He wasnt pushy and we really appreciated that!
Everyone was very helpful! They delivered the car to my house because I was not able to come out that day. Super friendly staff! I will be sure to tell my friends and family about this dealership.
Before you buy from these folks, ask a lot of questions. If they cant answer your question, leave. If they say they will check on that, leave. Its a lie. If you deal with Bill Mooney, dont even bother. Just leave. Youre about to get screwed and lied to. Actually, just save yourself the trouble and dont even go here. Youll get screwed no matter what.
Some the the staff (only a few) are rely nice. But for the most part, they lie, tries to get you to buy extra services, charge you for services not rendered. The continue to send me those fake coupons that I quickly trash. I witness them breaking a women cardallic converter and tried to get her to pay for their mistake. Only when she started to cry and tell them she couldnt afford it did they back down.
Worked on my Sequoia cargo door and replaced the latch. They did not connect the electrical for the windshield wipers and tore off my license plate frame. Technician was terrible.
Bought used vehicle there, a great bunch of people. Ask for Nacole, she made my purchase easy for my return from Afghanistan.
Awesome car shopping experience! Paige and Eddie were extremely helpful, as well as the entire John ONeil Johnson family. Thanks for a great car buying experience!
First visit with my new Toyota, the employees were very nice. Great first impression!
The service was absolutely amazing and I will buy my cars there as long as I live! My car is incredible. Thank you John O Neil Johnson Hyundai!
I got a great deal on my new car.
My salesman, Kade, was great. He was very patient with me and helpful. He kept me updated throughout the process,They worked with me to get the payment I wanted monthly for the exact vehicle I wanted, very impressed!
They are not very good at returning phone calls. Not sure what the issue is.
Well, came in to get some transmission fluid taken out. They said it would take 15 minutes. About 45 minutes later they said it would be 15 again. About 1 and a half hours after we got there we were told they started. If its gonna take a while just let us know.
Horrible, horrible place to do business or even think of buying a vehicle everything about this place and hyundai is a disaster the sales staff sucks the service Dept sucks they are rude pushy very unprofessional and I would never ever buy a car from them again they need to shut down don’t see how they are still in business...
Mr. Osteen was professional and did an excellent job of providing me with operational information about my vehicle. Also, he asked me to experiment with all of the programs and return for more in-depth training.Overall a pleasant experience.
Great customer service, recomend that u set an appointment ahead of time or may be there all day
If I could put 0 starts I would. Has been terrible trying to get in contact with someone in the finance department. I have had a hell of a time trying to get stuff fixed that they messed up. Yet no one answers the phone or calls back 3 days of trying...
I have been there three times; once looking at a new car, once looking at a used car, and another time to buy a part for my wifes car. Whenever I go to look at a car, I have already done my research, have likely driven a car very similar, and know what is a good price. I typically tell them straight up front, I want this car for this price and all I want is a yes or no. Each time I was asked to fill out multiple papers with my info and was once asked for my information to run my credit before even looking at a car. I dont like when my time is wasted, and in reality they are wasting their own time as well.As far as the part goes, I was buying a small electrical fuse for an air conditioning system in a 2003 Corolla. I waited 10 minutes for someone to show up at the counter, 15 min for him to locate the part in his system ( I brought the old fuse with me and it had all the numbers he would need right on the side of it), and then another 15 min for them to look for it. Ultimately they told me they would need to order it and it was going to be $80! I ended up buying it for $13 at an auto parts store. I wont go back here for anything.
I now live in New York City. I purchased (2) 2007 Toyota Tundras from Johnson ONeil Toyota in Meridian, Mississippi. My father and mother also purchased 2 new Toyotas at this location. I will be purchasing my next new car from this dealership. I woukd say this is one of the Top Dealerships in the country. Thank you for the awesome service you provide! No one does it better. #1 Toyota Dealership in the United States!!!
Best dealer in Mississippi to buy a Toyota from, great price and great service, My sales person Nell did a very good job. I will buy from this dealer again and recommend them to anyone.
Great Experience!!! The people helped us find exactly what we wanted for the price we needed, they was very friendly and knowledgeable. We have bought many vehicles from John ONeil one for our daughter and had our other daughter buy from ONeils because they always treat us well. This time we bought a new Santa Fe Sport which we are very happy with. We definitely recommend buying from John ONeils.
They got me in quickly and the service was great
Had a really awesome experience from start to finish. Mr James Smith really went above and beyond to gain my business nad make sure I had the best help possible... I truly thank him and we love our purchace...
Shannon OSteenThanks for you help. Coming from out of town to look at a car is always a little iffy in my experience. But it was exactly as described. Very helpful and upfront. Thanks again
My trip to the dealership was not a pleasant one.I called at the beginning of the week to make sure they had a key for my daughters car that could be cut. The parts guy told me they had one in stock and I could make an appointment but it shouldnt be a problem to just stop by since it wasnt a major repair. I called the next day, Wednesday, and left a voicemail to set up an appointment. No one called me back. I tried twice more and no one answered. I took a chance and showed up at the dealership on Thursday despite not having an appointment. I stood at the counter while a lady from the service department helped another customer. During the five minute conversation with the customer I found out that the owner now lives in Colorado and is trying to sell the dealership. She said she would be right back as she left with the customer. I stood, looking at the clock on the wall, for another ten minutes. During this time I was told twice that someone would be right with me. I also learned from random conversation of employees that one employees pipes had burst and another employee was spending his time cleaning out his car at the dealership during working hours. After fifteen more minutes an employee came to the service counter only to tell me I needed to talk to the parts department. I then stood at the parts counter for five minutes before the only employee there turned around, while on the phone the entire time, to notice me. I told him I had called a few days earlier and the person I spoke to said the part was in stock. Instead of offering to double check that the part was still in stock like the service guy suggested I do he sent me back to the service counter. I stood for another five minutes with noone at the counter offering to help me. At one point the service manager walked by me. I know this from the picture on the wall and not because he introduced himself. He went through a door and disappeared. After that I walked back to the car and left. Overall I drove 30 minutes there, waited for around 30 minutes to get nothing accomplished, and then drove 30 minutes back home.On the way home I called Bullock Toyota in Louisville. Within 15 minutes I was told they had the part and scheduled me an appointment for the following day. Im sitting here now in a non crowded waiting room while they make the extra key. They greeted me at the door and immediately took the car to the back to get to work.20 years ago my family bought all our cars from Johnson Toyota. When the father died and the son took over the dealership things started to go downhill. If you want or need to have work done drive to Bullock Toyota. They treat you like Johnson Toyota used to when they cared.
John Reyes was wonderful to work with in finding the best car for our son to take to college. Thank you so much John!
Had a really good experience and Clint McElroy was extremely knowledgable and friendly throughout the process. Clint took time to explain everything and was the definition of a professional. My family and I are extremely happy and look forward to working with Clint and his team in the future.
I showed up at 6pm on Friday of Memorial Day and they guys reopened the parts dept to get me a gas cap! Love these guys, good to know some people still care about a job well done.
We got a great deal on a used vehicle. Everyone at the dealership bent over backwards to make our transaction simple and timely.
Horrible experience . No communication false information to the point where got a car kept for months then had to take back. Constantly made cars to business to receive no call backs and no response.. Worse experience I have ever had with a carlot
I bought the car from Florida based on only pictures and the word of the salesperson, Amber. No glitches, no problems, the car was delivered on time and as presented. I could not be happier with the experience.
Wasted my time, refused to negotiate a cash price after they said they would since the moment I got there.. half a day of my life I cant get back... they waited until it came time to pay them and sign papers for a 2010 highlander with a busted light & saying they wouldnt come down not even 1 cent. Which was well priced above blue book dealer price. All good though, paid $12,600 cash for a Honda pilot at Paul moak in Jackson and they came down nearly 3,000 just so I could get it.Oh, And the lady who tried to sell me the highlander looked like a clown with the loads of makeup. They really need to tell their sales people to tone down the makeup. Just my opinion, I think people of that occupation need to be very presentable when youre trying to sell something...
Salesperson, finance section, sales and finance process were great. Professional, friendly, just great experience overall until the end, BUT...I was at the dealership late buying my 2014 Santa Fe, so I brought it back the next day for the detailing. Hyundai dealership detailers were off by the time I brought it by, this was Saturday, so we took it up to the Toyota dealership for them to detail my car. That was the WORST detailing job I have ever had. NOTHING was done to the inside, not even a vacuum. the exterior looked like they rinsed it off and them wiped it dry with wet cloths. TOTALLY disappointing! I called my salesperson who was apologetic and I will take it in again next week and he will ensure it is done right, so he will make it right, and I appreciate this.
Great experience and hassle free. I received everything i needed. Thank you so much!
Went in for oil change due to being the area for doctor appt. They charged me for replaceable element 6.50, gasket 1.37, said I needed air filter. I usually get my oil changed at Bullock Toyata of Louisville, Ms, they changed my filter then. Johnson ONeil overcharged me items not needed. A rip off. Never plan to stop again. Cheaters, because I was not a reg customer. Do not use them.
