Great experiences. I usually drop off prepaid packages but over the last few months I have had my passport redone and inquired about slow to move packages. Each experience has been personable. I applaud them for doing such a great job during some of the craziest times.
The service at this post office is outstanding. They are patient, kind, and make me feel like a queen no matter how many people are waiting in line, They are that way with every single person who comes in for help, no matter how many packages one has, no matter the condition of the packages they bring. They humor me, showing me the newest pretty stamps, helping me select which ones I want to buy. Joe, our carrier, is fantastic. He is always cheerful, helpful, goes out of his way to make sure the mail gets to the correct house, even if he has to backtrack from another street. I LOVE MY POST OFFICE, and MY POST OFFICE PEOPLE
Im usually great at keeping my receipts, but my grandmother has alzheimers and threw the receipt away. My package never delivered and I was starting to get worried so I called the post office gave them as much information as I possibly could on the day, time and spending amount. They helped me find my package! The staff is just so nice and helpful that I had to come leave a review for them. :) thank you so much again.
Not sure why there are so many bad reviews, everyone here is super nice. I enjoy going here.
So slow always talking about nothing pertaining to work an not focusing in the long line
I’m posting one star because unfortunately we don’t have a no star option. It’s always the same individual too always has an attitude and dismissive of customers specifically towards Latinos. She’s African American and several have experienced the same issue. I came to pick up a packet that I have a tracking number for and she said “I can’t help you unless you have the pink slip” and automatically called her supervisor which I waited almost 15 mins for. Minutes after another gentleman comes in with the same inquiry he was picking up a packet and saying he only had his email and she helped him find it . Selective customer service SMH
Slowest post office ... customer service rude... line always out the door
Very very friendly and polite people.
They never answer the phone and the service is terribly slow.
Clean, protected and good service.
Just experienced such an amazing customer sevice. Dean took care of me, but it appeared as if all the staff was polite and attentive to the customers. Very happy with my experience. I would definitely recommend this location.
USPS moves a billion pieces of mail and they are way better than anything offered in any other country. They will carry your hand-addressed letter with a sloppy address 3,000 miles for 50 cents right to the front door of the recipient. Nuff said!
They never know what they’re talking about. Keep getting a notice saying to pick up my package then I go and they have no idea what I’m talking about. Do nothing but waste my time here
Nine years of my life in America, I never once experienced such a discrimination until I came across a lady at this post office named Patty. HORRIBLE service. My husband and I walked in, she was in such rude manner with straight face and said to go stand next to the passport section until someone helps us. Her coworker said he could take care of us and she said that someone else will. Hes a really nice guy would have preferred being helped by him instead of having to deal with her. She ended up taking care of us instead of someone else when they had no customers when I walked in. Without saying anything she just she had to go make a call and unprofessionaly just gave me a white piece of paper and said to fill out why Im wearing a scarf. Normally you would give someone a form or at least explain, but instead she chose to be rude through out the whole thing. I will never step a foot in that post office. Rather travel the distance then come there. Even immigration never asked me and the lady that works at the post office rudely without explanation tries to give me a white paper to fill out my reason. Pretty intresting.
Off the main view of the road. The staff is courteous and friendly. I have never had any problems with this branch.
If I could give this place a 0 I would but I’m going to give them a 1 star because honestly they are a few nice employees that works in there, however THAT LADY THAT DOES THE PASSPORT APPLICATION she is the WORST, her attitude is soooooo Stinkkkkk, she act like shes working for free, she’s going to let me know she refused to retake my daughter passport picture because there is a line outside and she’s the only one working & if she take it over I need to pay another $15, Listen I’ve been standing in line for almost an hour with my kids, beside she was the one that mess up the picture, with a attitude like that she need to be working at a zoo. Disrespectful Son of u know what. Take your business else where. They need to replace that Passport Lady, she is very racist
Great post office. Rarely a line. Staff is great and always help me save money. Great for getting your passport.
Crowded as always like any other uspsThey have ample parking space. The staff was welcoming and friendly.
Very friendly and quick response most of the time..its busy this holiday season.
I called there Sunday, I had been tracking a package and it was about to arrive Monday, I asked them to please not send out the package from the office and to intercept it because it was sent to the wrong address, the man on the phone said he could do that. So I see on the tracker the next day that they sent the package out anyways!!! What the heck? So I go there and he tells me the package is now going to be coming back to the office, and that he would call me as soon as he had any other information. The office is now closed and I never got a call. The Meriden ct post office is the worst post office on the planet.
Item never delivered went to wrong address this has happened many times very disapointed 0 stars if i could
Joe was helpful in resolving a lost package when a carrier put the key to a parcel locker in someone else’s box. He actually followed thru and called me when he corrected the error. We all make mistakes, it’s how the mistake is handled that’s important. Thanks Joe!
They are always helpful here even if their management is lazy and unsupportive. The employees here do a great job.
Very nice helped us very quickly and answered all of our questions.
Over the phone service is horrible. I am currently writing this review as I am on hold. It has been 45 minutes.
Did an address change over 3 months ago and I am STILL having troubling receiving my mail. Have spoke to them multiple times for the situation not to be taken care of.
Off the main vision of the road but high quality significant staff.
I came to the Meriden post office on Friday, April 29th a little before 1:30pm. I needed to certify mail an envelope which I had never done before. The woman who assisted me (I unfortunately didnt catch her name) was more than helpful. She walked me through the steps, didnt make me wait back in line when I had to step away to fill out some of the paperwork, and explained the process to me. She was friendly, informative and was also helping a fellow employee while helping me and working through an increasing line. I got in and out in no time and I now know another process for mailing. Excellent job!
Just had amazing customer service over the phone. Always have had a good experience with this post office..
People are great there. Im one who is very forgetful with certain mailing processes. The crew here are always very patient with all customers.
Terrible Customer service over the phone. The minute you ask a question, you can be the sweetest person ever, the guy I talked to had the worst attitude ever.
The customer service number is a joke. Just a bot.
Package lost, Meriden USPS is worthless, no help. They told me just have to play the waiting game. Abolish the USPS.
Delivery of mail is so slow... Dislike mail service in meriden they suck
I spend around a hundred a week shipping out items I sell on ebay and every time I tell them something is glass I always have to refund the buyer costing me money due to the post office not handling these items correctly. Please do not use usps to ship out fragile items as they will not make it in one piece.
Its a big place, clean and they have a separate department for passport processing.
Called in for a favor not even 10 min. after leaving a package in the drop off desk, because a customer canceled the order. I asked them not to scan the barcode so I wont be charged for a package that was not shipped yet, being that the package had not been scanned yet. So far so good we have your package, they said. Then when I came to pick up the package which was seating near by waiting to be picked up by me, they tell me We need to scan the package as shipped and charge you. I was like wait a minute, the whole reason I called was so this package would not get put through as shipped. I was put on to discuss the issue with one of the so called managers, the one that talks through the side window (a spanish looking guy) who was forcing me to have the package scanned when it clearly showed online not scanned yet. I felt that that was unfair, and proceeded to tell them that was clearly a scam. Because, how are you going to charge me for package that had not been shipped yet or scanned when Im clearly there to take it back. I was then asked by another guy (A white guy that works in the back also) in a very rude manner with customers watching all this being unfold that now I cant have my package back at all, and that this package is going to be now shipped and was rudely kicked out...This is the worse customer service I have encountered and this place needs to be surveillance since this people are clearly running this place down to the ground with the worse staff that works there, especially those so called managers in the back that in charge of shipping.
We need 3 post offices again in Meriden, CT. We use to have Downtown on Colony Street, East Side on Parker Avenue, and South Meriden at The South Meriden Village Pharmacy! One post office is NOT GOOD! Long Lines that move very SLOW and poor service! Please bring back the other 2 post offices and things with the US Mail will be GOOD Again! Thank You, and Take Care! From, TOM COSS of Meriden, CT. 06450 USA (P.O. BOX 652)
They are rude. And VERY slow at the counter. Extremely rude on phone.
Mail/pkges keeps getting opened. Balance transfer checks stolen.
Worst USPS office in the country. Guys are purposely slow serving the customers while chatting amongst themselves. Only use it for returns when i do not have another option. Otherwise i go to the Wallingford office or ship UPS. Have i mentioned how rude they all are? well rest assume that in Meriden you will be treated worse than a dog
I was harassed by one of the employees and followed out to my car. When I turned him down he made racial remarks and I am trying to file a complaint. If anyone else has had a problem with Mike Romano here please list it on here so he will stop.
Friendly staff who are always willing to help
Nice people working there
Worst staff in the world..the staff are lazy and dont want to check on items...the old Indian women is the most laziest of them all!!..who is running this Mickey Mouse operations??
Long lines...not many clerks.
They need to hire more people at this post office. There is always a long line and not enough people at the desk. The one that are there take too long. This is not good customer service.
Awful idea to ship with these people...
Always long lines
This is the worst post post office I have entered in my entire life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The people who deliver the correspondence are not responsible for the deliveries and then you go to the mail and I am very sorry and with that you plan to fix everything but the problem continues to occur
