We have been going to Hanger in Merced for years now, no other choices. For some reason they cant get their orders in on time and my husband is paying the price for their incompetence. He needs liners for his prostetic every 6 months and gets them late every time. He had to have surgery due to walking with a worn out liner. I guess thats what we get for having to go to Merced.
Every time I have had to interact this this office it has been a very positive experience even when they couldnt help me they did their best to point me in the right direction. Always professional staff explains the use of the tools well. When ever I have a client or patient I send them to Hanger first. I have to say thank you to Connie for being extra helpful during this hard time during lock down, when I needed my arm brace for work and could not find it anywhere she really helped me out. Thank you.

Awful Awful Awful.We took our son there on April 3rd. When we got there, the door was locked so we were confused because they had confirmed the appointment the day before and at no time did anyone tell us that we would have to call when we got there. But we called anyway and there was no answer. So we’re about to leave and decide to call again. Now someone answers and says they have to call the clinic to let us in. Okay, strike one for bad communication. After they take the mold of our son’s feet they tell us it will be 8 weeks before the orthodics are ready and if our insurance doesn’t cover it, someone will call to see if we want to pay out of pocket. Strike 2, why wouldn’t you check that before we come in? Now it’s June 1st, no one has called us about insurance or the orthodics so I call and the girl tells me that they tried calling in April but couldn’t leave a message. That’s a bunch of Bull because we’ve gotten every other call they’ve made. She says they don’t have our son’s mold anymore and we have to come in to do it again. I told her, you make one call and never call again? Are you honestly going to tell me that all other patients answer the first time? And now we have to take time to go to another fitting because your clinic can’t properly follow up? No, that’s ridiculous and we’re not going back! Strike 3!Absolutely inept, non-communicative, and unreliable!
