Called this company about changing head gaskets because lawn mower wouldt start and was blowing oil. They charged me $80.00 to pressure wash the mower(which I cleaned before they picked it up) and $65.00 for pickup and deliver. Now mower wont start probably because the head gaskets were not replaced and battery is dead. Be careful people I got ripped off.

Called up for a PTO switch, was told about $20, got there and the lady was rude and didnt know anything. Then they charged me almost $30 with tax. I gave the guy i spoke with my old switch so he could match it up and he opened the new switch out of the plastic bag and compared the two and said all good. They told me no returns on electrical parts. I went to put the switch in over the weekend and realized he sold me the wrong switch! The orientation was different, it was for a different model mower. What a waste of time and money! Update 5/3/21 Why would I need a model number when I brought in the old switch to you which clearly had the part number on it? Your response makes no sense.

I had my snow blower repaired. they have GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They COMMUNICATE with their customers, and they CARE!! Not to many loyal places like this one anymore. Pick-up & Delivery, very accurate times they give.

The mechanics there are excellent and get the job done the first time with no problems! Not to mention the stellar customer service I received and quick and efficient communication! I highly recommend Arko and his team..they know what they’re doing!!

I went here for an obscure part for an older model MTD leaf blower. Not only did they have the part in stock but they helped me replace it and made sure I was all set to run the blower. The price on the part was a little cheaper than I anticipated. I give them an A+ for customer service, having parts in stock, friendliness and reliability! I will definitely be back for any further needs.

I was replacing the spindle on my Craftsman riding mower but had a nut that wouldnt come off because the original spindle was damaged. I called Arko to see if they could help me remove it. They told me to bring the deck up to them and within half a minute the nut was removed and I was on my way to finish the job. With great customer service like that, I will be sure to call on them again!

Big thank you to Bob and Arko inc. for the awesome service they provided! We have been struggling to get a less then 5 year old duel stage snow thrower to run smooth ever since we purchased it. We followed all recommendations to let run dry etc at the end of the season. Since then my husband has taken apart 6 times to clean just to have it run at 1/2 power. We finally decided to have it serviced this year bc he could not get it to run. This had led to shoveling by hand which is not practical in NE Ohio winters. After some research we came across this company. The reviews looked good so we gave them a try! While other local businesses said it would be about a week or so these guys picked up our snow thrower the same day! Bob was very informative, on time, personable, and even gave us remedies for future maintenance. They had it fixed and delivered by the next day working full speed just as it did when first purchased. My husband was very impressed with how everything was hassle free. The cost was reasonable and we felt that they were honest about their work. A big thank you to these guys and highly recommend them. They did great job with our snow thrower repair!

This is one of the best places I have taken my mower!! As soon as I pulled up I saw people working in the shop, walked up, was greeted nicely, and asked what they could help me with that day. I told them I had a John Deere mower and that the blades would not turn on. The guy said he can definitely take a look at it and get it fixed in a few hours. I dropped it off, got a call a few hours later and it was ready to go and working perfectly!! Very, very happy with the results!! Much better then most places in Mentor!!

Arko Power Equipment is a breath of fresh air for consumers. Quite simply, they are honest, educated and care about their customers. Patrick (in particular) is one of the brightest and most competent technicians I’ve ever worked with. He has saved me money and time by quickly repairing my commercial mowers, two of which were deemed scrap material by another local company.We FINALLY have a trustworthy Service Company in Mentor.

Paid 90$ for them too drain a fuel line and put in a primer bulb a 4$ part took 5 minutes too put in 5 minutes too drain the line 10/10 would not recommend can’t imagine what they would charge for some actual work

Speedy fast service

Despite arguing over a blower and whether or not it should be covered under warranty...which is from the eye of the beholder, the kid at the counter is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTINGLY HORRIBLE. Just a bad human being with no intent on helping anyone. Dont waste your time here.

A normal repair shop with good pricing on an overall repair of an engine. Recommended for a true repair. Though I wish more parts were in stock as in belts and pullies to avoid playing phone tag with people and wasting fuel bouncing around towns and cities for one exotic part.

I will never go back to this place to have my lawn mower fixed every again. I took my old mower out of the shed and didnt have time to get it all tuned up this year. I saw Mr. Arko in the advertising section in a magazine I think or maybe the news paper, so I grabbed the old mower not sure how old and drove down to his shop. No one was in line and no one was behind the counter ready to serve me and fix my problems. All I heard was loud music and someone using profanity a lot about how they hate customers lawn mowers. After about 20 minutes of patiently waiting for someone to arrive at the counter, finally some kid I think was the owner came and apologized for the wait. I felt skeptical of if I really wanted to leave my old mower to get fixed with this guy. So I asked if he could fix this old thing back to life. He looked at it for a couple minutes and pushed it back to me and said its not worth it, get a new one sir. I gotta get back to work now. He left and I was speechless. I took it into lake Erie and they took care of it with no problems at all. I told my neighbor to never take your stuff down to this place. He wont fix it all.

Thank you for picking up and returning my snow blower in one day. Also, thank you for helping me understand exactly why it wouldnt work. Living in the snow belt, it was a desperate situation for me. As usual, I know I am in good hands with Patrick Arko. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

Poor customer service and untrained employees. Recently took a log spliter in for warranty repair, and was told it would not be covered. Because wrong motor bolts and using the equipment heavily caused the motor vibration and the part to fail. After some research per owners manual they are the correct 5/16×18 bolts and were factory installed. Not 1/4 20 like they told me and accused me of installing . The machine has less then 50 hrs and was less then two years old under warranty. They cant fix a throttle cable and get bolt sizes right. Save your money and go somewhere you can trust

I recently bought a new troybilt rototiller from the local home improvement store. Shortly after I opened the box, I noticed the recoil housing on the engine was bent inwards. (obviously shipping damage). I then called the store i purchased it from and was recommended to take the machine to Arko Power Equipment. I had always used Lake Erie Lawn & Garden as my primary go to shop for all of my power equipment repairs for years. But being curious of what else might be out there I loaded up the tiller and brought it down to Arko. After five minutes of standing in the showroom shouting into the shop over the blaring radio I got someones attention. I explained to the young man behind the counter my situation and asked if he could fix it. He looked at me and said. look man its snowblower season. I really dont have time for this right now. Being that its winter, I understand. But in between the good and bad weather I was really looking forward to getting started putting in a new garden at my house. He then said sorry man turned around and went back into the shop. I stood there in the showroom shocked for a moment having not felt so neglected in a long time. I loaded my tiller back up and brought it to Lake Erie Lawn & Garden. They told me no problem. They ordered the part same day and had it finished in four days. I guess i never should have ventured elsewhere. Later that day thinking maybe the kid at Arko was just having a rough day, I told my next door neighbor about what had happened and he told me he took a flat tire off his riding mower to Arko to be fixed and had a similar experience of them telling him they didnt have time with kind of a snobby attitude. We both agreed we would never go back to that place again. Or recommend it to anyone.Update:Patrick, thanks for getting back to me so promptly. I decided to take some time and do some research so as to defend my comment over your response. My apologies for not being aware I was dealing with the owner, not an employee, the day of the incident. According to your background check, it states you were born april 19,1993 putting you at 22 years old. Sorry for the confusion. According to your facebook profile picture, I am certain you were the individual I dealt with that day. I am confused as to where you found that you have 5 star customer service when google clearly states you have a 4.5 star rating. Also the day of the incident, no information was taken from me so that should clear up your confusion as to why I am not listed in your customer database. Lastly, that day I was standing in your showroom waiting for assistance, I noticed that you have an imitation security camera hanging from the ceiling. I was able to spot it a mile away because it is the identical camera my neighbor and I have hanging over our front doors. Unless there was a hidden camera in the showroom, I doubt you have any footage of me being at your business that day.
