The IOP staff are great, the facilities are a little small and some activities are awkward but overall nice. Didnt really enjoy CBT or some groups, but thats just cause it wasnt my thing. If you like talk groups and a lot of time spent everyday on just mental health, then this is for you.
I love BACA Menlo Park! The clinic used to be a spa and the space has maintained that extremely relaxing atmosphere. It is also great that it is so close to Stanford serving much needed mental health services.
Absolutely horrible experience with their free needs assessment. The struggling family finds the time for the middle of the day appointment (leaving from work (yes, they asked BOTH parents to be present for this !), picking up the kid early from school, driving through traffic trying to be polite and be there on time... just to see an unprofessionally dressed intern who asked very general questions from her paper (10 min with parents plus 5 min with the child) and then saying us that they are not going to work with us...all their therapists are pretty busy! No advice, no referrals, no compassion whatsoever... I guess the main reason for that was to just get to know our insurance info and how would we pay (yes, they did make sure we signed all the paperwork with that information). This is a SHAME, BACA! We felt like they spit right in our faces! And for what?? Our family is already struggling, and the last thing we needed you spit in our face like that! We dont want you adding more torture to our life! I would give you a zero if I could.... And of course, if you try to reach the person who takes care of patients experience, you cant reach them, and they dont call you back! I would give you BACA a zero if I could....
Hari Nair is the best doctor, my son is a positive and happy kid, thanks to him!
