AHS assigned them for warranty repair of my washer. The tech came out and spent about 20 minutes looking at it then told me it needed a new clutch and housing. He told me it would take between 5-7 days to get the parts and that someone would call me to schedule appointment to come back once they were in. A week and half later I called because hadnt heard anything. Was told the tech closed my ticket because he claimed he told me my washer was under manufacturer warranty and I needed to go through manufacturer. I stated that he never said anything like that and was told someone would call me back. I received call back from manager who basically said the same thing except this time said it was a manufacturer recall not warranty and that they cannot work on it if its under recall. I again stated that tech never said anything to that nature and the manager proceeded to tell me that the tech was also a manger and basically didnt believe me. The fact that there may be a recall so they cant work on it until the recall is taken care doesnt bother me, but saying he told me about it when all he told me was he had to order parts, really makes me upset. I have actually seen a lot of similar complaints about the tech telling the homeowner one thing and then putting something else on the ticket.

Complaint #1Good Afternoon,I am writing in regards to the unit placed in my home. I would like it removed asap!!! The job was never completed!!!! I was told that parts were being ordered and the parts would be here in 2 days(today is day 2) I had to call to find this information out. No one from this company bothered to contact me. It is currently 95 degrees in Memphis, TN and my daughters room is scorching hot. I do not appreciate the poor customer service for a 9,000 plus dollars purchase. I have tried calling on the phone and did not get an answer. I need to be contacted asap.Complaint #2I am writing because this is my second time having to contact you all about the AC unit you placed in my home. The AC UNIT is still not cooling properly. I need someone at my home ASAP. This is totally unacceptable for the cost of this unit which is 9,000 plus dollars. The 1st time I wrote you all the job was left incomplete with no communication. Now the job still seems to be incomplete because the unit is not cooling my home properly. The thermostat has been set on 66 and the temperature in the home is not going under 75 degrees. I need this fixed or removed from my home and off my credit to locate a competent and reputable company that will ensure the job is done properly and the unit is cooling my home properly.Complaint #3After the on call Technician came out at 10:11 pm. He discovered that the unit was frozen and did not have a filter in the unit which will create other problems like clogged evaporator coils, and air ducts not blowing properly.  The tech left at approximately 10:20 pm. He said he will return tomorrow  to conduct a further inspection and diagnosis. However,  I have been telling this company  since the unit was installed  that  the unit was not cooling properly.  The 1st time because  the job was incomplete.  The 2nd time it appears  that  the job was not done correctly- especially with no filter installed. I have asked for the unit and ducts to be inspected  and to no avail. An inspection was  done and no one discovered that there was not a filter. This has been a horrible experience overall. I hope to get all of these  issues resolved and would not wish this upon anyone.

I never write reviews because it always seems like a waste of time but this is VERY IMPORTANT if your thinking of dealing with incompetent workers. It has been 2.5 months since my refrigerator has been broken. The refrigerator was broken during the summer months and not a single person seemed to care at greenway home services. We spent over two months of talking on the phone trying to get to the bottom of the problem but no-one wanted to listen or do their jobs. The final straw was on Sept. 28, 2021, I called them and after 3 hours of being on the phone with both HomeServ Memphis and American Home Shield, a report was sent for the part to be finally ordered after being on backorder as they claimed. Magically after the phone calls on Sept. 28, the part showed and would be delivered on Friday Oct. 1. What a coincidence that it would be on backorder for so long and finally arrive after my infuriating call. After the part was received they told me the earliest they could fix my refrigerator was on Oct. 13, 2021 which would make the refrigerator nearly 3 months broken. This type of behavior is completely inexcusable. They never submitted any orders before hand and only keep using the excuse of backorder whenever anything happens. They basically stated that my time does not matter and that I would have to deal with it until they can send a technician out on the 13th to finally fix my fridge. If you are thinking of dealing with both American home Shield or HomeServ Memphis, do yourself a favor and find someone else to fix your things otherwise they will make you wait unreasonable times until you force them to do their jobs and when something finally happens they make you wait even longer. They always talk about how they dont have time to make for a customer but never seem to care about the time they wasted screwing over the customer.

On Tuesday evening I ended up with a flat tire and stuck at the gas station in Olive Branch. I had all three of my children with me with the smallest one being 6 months. A gentleman by the name of Lawrence pulled into the parking lot and offered me help. HE bought a plug for my tire and got it plugged and aired back up so I could get home! He was GENUINELY a life saver!! He was very kind and professional! He really represented you guys in the best way possible!! With people like that working for your company I will gladly make the switch to your company! That gentleman deserves some major acknowledgement for the act of kindness!! He has restored my faith in humanity!! Great job Greenway for hiring such a selfless gentleman!

After initially telling me it would be two weeks to send out a technician, there were able to make an appointment for the next day. The repair technician, Mr. Terry Boyce, arrived in the scheduled appointment window and called before arrival. He was friendly and informative. He quickly diagnosed the problem and performed additional checks on my system. My AC is running well now. Great job!

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND GREENWAY HOME SERVICES!To my surprise this gentleman, Rob, came to our house (my husband and I) and he knew exactly what was wrong with our 30 yr Whirlpool washing machine. It was something, he claimed, was very simple. I think that he’s just super knowledgeable. He explained exactly what was wrong. Bobby saves the day, again. He has serviced our HVAC unit in our 107 year old home before and his efforts have made us Greenway customers for Life!! His attention to detail and willingness to explain what is wrong, what needs to be fixed/replaced, and how to maintain our unit better for the future have not gone unnoticed. When using our home warranty we always request Greenway and have never been disappointed. I’m a tough customer to please and Bobby has me smiling when paying my bill!!

Greenway was sent out by my home warranty to access my faulty AC after another company failed at fixing it. Bobby was the technician that came out, and he was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, he had to special order a fan motor which took a little time to get in. He was so kind that he came out on his day off to to fix it when the motor finally came in. Great service and I highly recommend Greenway, and especially Bobby.

We had some toilet problems and also plumbing in the rest of the house, nothing drained!!! Dean, had a crew out here asap and made sure this problem was taken care of. They were so professional and courteous. They were also so very friendly. They will be the only company we use in the future.

Bobby saved my life! Yesterday evening I got out of the hospital and came home to a hot house. I have asthma, so spent the night in a room that has a window air conditioner. He was able to get the big unit going, but will have to come back and figure out how to make the wiring more permanent. I liked his attitude and how he kept me posted..

We have used Greenway for many years and they are always very professional. Recently we replaced 2 HVAC units. After a yearly inspection of our old builder grade Freon units, we decided to replace them. Coleman came to our house that same day to give us a price for the new units. He is a great guy, very friendly and knowledgeable. Installation was scheduled for 2 days later. Ron Currie and Terrence Johnson were awesome! They and their team (Dee and Andre) replaced two complete units within a few hours. Ron and Terrence even looked at some other concerns I had and gave me some tips on keeping the new units running at their best. Will be calling them again when needed.

Excellent service! I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative I am of the outstanding (heroic) service I received from the Greenway Team on one of the most frigid days of the year. At 5:30 am (2/16/21) I discovered a break in the water main to my home. Of the nine plumbers I called, three called me back. Greenway was the ONLY service willing to come that morning. The other two told me We just cant run trucks in this weather. Well call you back when the roads clear. AYKM? GW scheduled me between 10-2 and Mr. Martin (Manager) arrived before 11. By 2:30, his repair crew, Keith and Chandler were working the jackhammer. Yes, my meter and line were unfortunately under my driveway. It was an awful cold day. The high was 16, but those guys worked so hard and did not leave until I was flowing again which was almost 7pm that night. So grateful. I have a whole new appreciation for brushing and flushing. Thank you Greenway.

I use Greenway Home Service for maintenance on my Heating and AC maintenance. I needed to reschedule my previous appointment and I got Ms. Alexis on the phone. She was very professional and understanding to my needs and got me all set up.Ok, today was my appointment, and I had the pleasure of having Mr. Larry Eugene service my unit. Mr. Eugene was very professional, thorough and precise. He answered ALL my questions, he explained every step that he performed on my unit where I understood what task he was taking on. Greenway came out today to perform annual AC maintenance that we get through their VIP program. Larry, the technician, let me know when he would be arriving and was true to his word. He was friendly, professional and thorough. Evidently the filters on our units in the attic are very tricky to clean, and he handled the situation with good humor even though the cleaning took longer than average. I was without air a few days but when Eric the service technician showed up he was friendly and professional. He found the problem in no time. He repaired what he could which got the air back to working and then explained in language that I could understand of what the next steps would be. I called Greenway to service my zoned HVAC system that was not functioning properly. Billy Flynn was beyond professional and took the time and care to make sure the job was done right. Because of that great interaction I called Greenway back to clean my dryer vent and swap the dryer door around. Again, I was not disappointed with the level of service I received. In both cases it proved to be much faster and cost effective than dealing with my home warranty company.

I have 2 units that were under greenway warranty and one of them was failing. I called on a Sunday and the next day Marquette showed up even though it was after hours and at night. He cared enough to make sure to fit us in and gave us the option of coming that evening or the next day. It was hot in the house so I asked for a visit even though it was getting late. Marquette was able to diagnose the issue and shortly thereafter get us back cool again until the part arrives in a few days. Having owned multiple homes Ive had plenty of companies and technicians out to service AC units. Ive never had someone who was as thorough with their explanation and as detailed as Marquette was. Many thanks to Marquette for going above and beyond to take care of Greenway customers. They should have him lead classes on the customer experience.

Water heater started leaking on us, so we called up Greenway. Uriel came out and tried to fix it, but it was busted. Needed to be replaced. A couple days later, Chandler and Andrew came to install the new one. Very professional and polite, all of them. We will definitely keep using this company.

The Techs are nice and friendly, but they have been out 4 times already and fixing to be the 5th (only because my home warranty dispatched them). This has been an ongoing issue for more than 5 months now. Parts were on back order at one point, in which I called to get an ETA status, of course no one ever called me back. The lack of Communication from the office is (to be nice) RIDICULOUS. The 4 hour time frame is pathetic. Give me a 30 min notice that way Im not continually missing work because of the incompetence of the Company.I wouldnt pay these clowns to water my lawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Pernell provided excellent service. After thoroughly reviewing the job he was to do, he explained it to me and told me what to expect on the next visit. On the second visit, there was an issue with repair. He showed me the problem and said that his office will ensure issue will be resolved in 2 days. On the third day he came back and worked on the problem until it resolved. Mr. Pernell paid attention to the task at hand and always let me know that Greenway will get the job done. Came to repair HVAC unit. Slightly annoying it was a 2 step process - first a tech came out to assess, then they sent their estimator/salesperson to walk through findings with me and try to upsell. Estimator/salesperson Linzey said he ordered a new compressor which would take 7-10 days and they would call when arrive (not ideal in the Memphis heat but I understand). I called them 11 days later to check on this - and they hadnt ordered the part!!! To add insult to injury, they are entirely unapologetic and the only person willing to speak with me to understand what is happening is the main person who answers the phone, not anyone who worked on my job to understand if there is some other kind of issue or what happened!! Wouldnt use again.

Very delayed on sharing this, but it definitely deserves mentioning. On 6-27, we found out our condensation line was clogged and causing a leak in our downstairs neighbors condo. This was a Sunday. I called Greenway. They had a technician there in less than 2 hours. I believe his name was Curtis Chipman. He assessed and fixed the problem in about 45 minutes. He was great. Very professional. I appreciate that Greenway and their technician helped us on a very hot day in a VERY SHORT amount of time. No extra charges for the weekend, he had the parts he needed on hand and fixed us so that we could run the air again.

I have been trying to get my Viking oven fixed for the last 9 months. Joel was the 3rd technician to come look at my oven, and he was like a freaking savage, attacking the problem until it was good and dead and fixed. He made sure the right parts were installed on my oven, and went over the wiring with a fine tooth comb until he found the issue. As of today, my oven is finally fixed, Im ecstatic, and I cant sing Joels praises enough. Seriously. Give the man a bonus and a raise!!!

Sent by American Homeshield. Tech tried to claim that the damage was due to a power surge which is impossible because we have whole house surge protection. He also claimed that the board was fried but he never pulled the board to examine it. Unknowledgeable technicians that will try to upsell you on their own service plans.

Larry Eugene came to our house today to service our Trane AC unit (which we bought from Greenway). We bought the VIP service which includes 2 cleanings/ tune ups per year. Our AC is blasting cold air and we are ready for sweltering Memphis Sumer days. Larry was super cool and we really enjoyed talking with him. He paid special attention to details and our AC unit is sparkling clean inside and out. We love Greenway!

Called Greenway Home Services today 2/15/2021 approx 2:20 pm to report both furnaces were not working, temperature inside house 59* and that there was a disabled individual that could not be without heat. Temp outside 12 * and 8 inches of snow on the ground. Greenway was very responsive and got here within 2 hours. Greenway was able to get one of the furnaces running and the other unit needed a part that was ordered. Bobby and Lawrence were very professional and kept me informed!! I was very pleased with the plumbing work Uriel Lopez did for us. Our toilets and bathtubs backed up and were not flushing or draining. The entire house smelled awful. Uriel explained everything he was doing in a concise and professional way. When he was finished with the work he cleaned up and went above and beyond to clear the gunk that came out of the drains. I would most definitely recommend the company and him in particular.

Going on 9 days now since our A/C went out and we are waiting on Greenway to fix the issue. Our home warranty company American Home Shield assigned them to our claim. The first tech who came out was Marquette and he was very nice, informed us that he could not find the source of the leak and recommended the unit be replaced because its 21 years old, the original unit when the house was built. Well he left that day without doing anything and said a project manager would call to set an appt. He did and came out, only to tell us AHS is forcing them to diagnose a problem to fix, so they can get out of replacing the unit. Then he has the nerve to recommend and provide quotes for a total A/C unit replacement, financed through them. So the unit does need to be replaced, but both AHS and Greenway are too shady to do the right thing. I will look into getting my entire system replaced soon, but I will never do it through Greenway. I will use literally anyone else. Not after sitting without A/C for two weeks while a part is on back order and no one really seems to care if we live or die during a heat advisory in Memphis with no air. I have very little faith in Greenway, but I hope they at least get our evaporator coil replaced like they said they would. Oh, weve also tried to call the project manager who came out, he hasnt bothered to return any of the calls. The only person who has actually been helpful is the lady who answers the phone when you call their office. Shes the only one who has provided any updates or information this whole time.

I was told the technician would arrive between 12p-5p when I called on 5/20/21 to schedule my appointment which is also the afternoon my a/c stopped working. Myself and family been waiting on this day 5/24/21(we have fans all over to keep from sweating bullets until Monday & the temperature has been super hot outside). We called 5 times to ask the status of the technician closer to the time the tech “suppose” to arrive. The money was taken from my wife’s account on yesterday through our home warranty. We were told the tech was 5 calls ahead, etc. Its past 5 & tech still hasn’t arrived! We’ve been super patient, but this is ridiculous!!! To be honest, I feel like the tech is taking their time on PURPOSE!!! You guys should check in on your employees throughout the day. There’s noooo possible way the tech is this SLOW!!!!!

I heard a loud noise and breaking glass I ran to my kitchen and found that my wine rack had fallen off the wall and there was water pouring from my ceiling into my laundry room. I ran upstairs and there was water flooding my attic floor. I managed to turn off the water. I called Greenway and the representative said that someone would come in 2 hours. They came in 1 hour. It turned out to be a broken water pipe behind the water heater. They even went to the store for supplies in this horrible weather. They completed the repair and it was very reasonable. I was shocked to find out that one of the workers was a company CEO. He said they were very busy and needed help. I was very impressed with how dedicated they were to servicing their customers. I would recommend this company to anyone.

My AC has been out since early July now, its late July - Greenway visited three times. The first time they attempted repair and told us the AC compressor coil was shot -- this was never reported to American Home Service. The second time they came out, they tried to sell us a $10K five ton AC unit -- which we do need but again, not through AHS. After complaining to AHS, they came out a third time to write the report they should have written on the first visit -- that was on a Wednesday. Its now Monday and Greenway still has not provided AHS that report. Im not sure if theyre just incompetent or scammers but they are not good.

I’ve used Greenway for many years and have had several outstanding technicians for both plumbing and HVAC issues. Today, Pip earned a spot on my outstanding list. He was timely, effective and professional but also comfortable and easy to talk to. While quickly and efficiently addressing and repairing my HVAC problem, he still found time to talk to me about things he could see I loved….dogs and cats. He offered me suggestions I’d not heard before about how to maintain my HVAC system. He did a thorough job at a reasonable price and he reminded me that I much prefer a locally owned business to a national chain. My boyfriend and I recently had a new system installed by Greenway. Unfortunately we’ve had problems almost from day one, sometimes it would work other times it wouldn’t do anything. We’d call, they’d send someone out each time claiming to have found the problem, finally it just quit working all together. We called and this time Billy F was the technician that came out. Very different experience Billy is very professional he listened as we expressed our frustration with Greenway and acknowledged he’d be just as frustrated. He shared how long he had been doing this type work, what his role at Greenway is and if at anytime we had questions he’d be happy to stop and answer them. He assured us before he left our system would be diagnosed properly with a solution. I want go into detail but want to thank Greenway for sending Billy, he was able to repair our system while here. My A/C wasn’t cooling so I called the warranty company and they assigned Greenway Home Services to fix the issue. They said I need a coil without conducting a leak test. The project manager came out and told me what the cost would be to replace the coil, I agreed to the price and the they came out and replaced my coil. After two days the unit was still not cooling and doing the same thing it was doing prior to the coil being replaced. I called them back but now they it’s something else. This is the reason I’m writing the review: The price the project manager quoted me was not the price I paid to the technician. I called the project manager and he said “the increase could have been the cost of the permit or something else.” So I asked him and numerous calls to the installation supervisor for a itemized list of the services I paid for and the assured me I they would send the list. Well is has been a couple of weeks and I have yet to receive the cost break down of the services Greenway provided.

Mr. Terry Boyce was the assigned technician, from Greenway Home Services, per my work order to AHS. He called and said that he would arrive in about 20 minutes and actually arrived in less time. Had Terry Boyce dispatched to our home under American Home Shield Service Request for our downstairs AC unit. Terry was thorough is his diagnosis of the problem being a worn ground wire that was shorting the unit. Wrapped the wire in tape in the area and was good to go. Great job TERRY!
