Choates has installed both my upstairs and downstairs HVAC, and provided maintenance. They have always been very courteous, and have never pressured me into purchasing add-ons I really didnt need. When I have had issues with my units, they have always replied very promptly.

Choates did a great job fixing a job that a home warranty company had completely botched. Choates uninstalled the AC that had been installed incorrectly by someone else, and they reinstalled it properly. They took time to explain why they were doing and why. They were patient, understanding, and respectful. They were on time for their appts. Communication was great, and I appreciated the texts and emails that tell you who is coming to your home and when. After the appt you get a detailed invoice/ report. Their transparency is great.

Just had both HVACs in my home replaced and Choate’s was phenomenal. Can’t give enough praise for the job they did. From the person who called me back on a Sunday when our heat went out, to the Comfort Advisor, Josh, who drove through the snow the next morning, to the scheduler, to the installers Michael, Jay and Dalayno everything went smoothly and was extremely professional. Not to mention the value that was provided for the system was incredible. Five Stars all the way around.

It doesnt get more dire than a nonfunctioning furnace and a forecast below zero. After finding my heat off at 1 am, I managed to get the pilot relit and the furnace on then called Choates emergency number. The lady with whom I spoke was extremely helpful and we agreed to set up an appointment for later that day. It was a holiday with a major winter storm predicted. The two technicians arrived at 11 am in a driving snow, listened politely and then I left them in the basement. They emerged an hour later with the system repaired and a most reasonable cost. From the initial phone call to a functioning furnace everybody was courteous, competent and professional. I highly, highly recommend Choates. They are now my favorite go to service company.

We previously had Choates for HVAC services that were very good and this week we had a plumbing issue in the kitchen. We tried other means to alleviate the leaks and low pressure leading to frustration and finally called Choates. They sent out Dustin who was punctual, polite and professional. He also provided some levity and was able to take a frustrating situation and turn it into a pleasant experience. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and gave it all his effort to try and work with the current situation and faucet. In the end, we ended getting a new faucet and he was able to install it and the new garbage disposal quickly to give us back our kitchen. We highly recommend Dustin for all of your plumbing needs. We also like Choates communication practice of sending a text to notify the arrival of a tech along with a photo to help identify who will be arriving. The only problem is the picture shown was not of Dustin. Other than the wrong photo, we are very impressed with Dustin and would highly recommend him and Choates. The only drawback to Choates is the consult fee is added even if the job is agreed upon and performed. That was not made clear at the time of the initial call and hold back the star rating. We rate the experience as a 4.5 and because Choates appears not to wave the consult/inspection fee upon accepting the job. We cannot rate Choates as excellent or 5 stars incidentally. Other companies waive the fee if the job is accepted/performed and Choates should also in our opinion follow the same logic. Great job Dustin!

We had Damian come by today and he was incredibly helpful/resourceful! We ended up having cracks in our heat exchanger and he went out of his way to make sure we understood the issue and gave us all the info for our warranty service. Highly recommend!

Excellent service by the Choate’s team, the entire experience was excellent.

Thank you Choate! Our daughters heat stopped working late Friday afternoon on the coldest weekend of the year with snow in the forecast. Choate had someone there at 7pm who diagnosed and fixed the problem on the spot. We knew there would be a charge for after hours service, theirs is very fair given their quick response time and ability to fix the problem without having to leave and come back. The technician was extremely professional.

Our technician Dustin was friendly and very professional. He was knowledgeable about our unit and gave us helpful information to help us maintain our unit in the future. We definitely would have him back for service in the future.

My experience with Choates was the worst. It was a week before my wedding and I was heading to work when I was in a wreck with one of their employees. It was his fault and he got the ticket, but my. Se was totaled. My insurance told me to file a claim with his since it was his fault so I did. I went through 5 numbers to get the correct company for the region and after giving my testimony they ONLY TOOK 80% LIABILITY ON SOMETHING HIS FAULT. I ended up having to get married and leave on my honeymoon before I could deal with my car. 3 weeks later I just received a small check from my insurance company because MY CAR IS TOTALED! And the payment for my car is not enough for a decent one so I now Im have had to finance a decent car and I’m in debt and now have MONTHLY PAYMENT. This is a terrible representation of a Choates and I’m so upset because of this whole experience. I sure hope none of them hit your car and try to get out of liability. And if you hire them, it’s a big risk. What a terrible company and what a terrible experience.

We have used Choates for several years and have received timely excellent service. They fixed the problem quickly and didnt pressure us to buy things we didnt need. Careful, friendly technicians who were knowledgeable and efficient.

Poor communication and grossly overpriced.I scheduled a plumber to come to my home due to an issue with my sink backing I to my dishwasher and vice versa. I also requested for them to install the new sink I had purchased.After arriving an hour after the end of the service window with no updates as to the plumbers whereabouts, the plumber arrived and installed my sink. All parts and supplies for the sink minus 1 screw were provided by me and in place ready for installation. The entire visit took 45 minutes to an hour.At the end of the visit the plumber informed me he would not be able to to address my issue with my dishwasher as it was an appliance. I had made my request clear from the outset and had I known that they didnt intend to address my primary concern I never would have engaged their service in the first place. I suppose that was my fault for having my friend supervise the repairs.The greatest upset came when I saw the charge: $863It took multiple phone calls and emails to get anyone to address my concern seriously. They reduced the bill to $319- which is still far above a standard labor rate.The sink was installed correctly-hence the 2 stars- but I would not recommend this company to anyone who likes clear communication or fair pricing.

I’ve been depending on them for HVAC and plumbing services for a few years now. No major problems or needs until today. A blockage in the sewer line close to the street became a disaster in my basement and ground floor bathroom. Toilet overflowing in the bathroom and into the hallway, and a basement filling with sewage. One phone call and the technician was here within the hour on a Sunday. Quickly realizing this was a bigger problem. Another phone call and a second technician and an Emergency Water Removal service were here. Still work to be done in the future for water damaged floorboards, but within a very reasonable 6 hours the crisis has been managed. Can’t speak highly enough of the team on a holiday weekend. Thanks guys!

Having my heating system fail on a cold day was a big problem.I called Choates, they sentout a technician in a few hours. David was very polite and professional . After troubleshooting my old furnace, he recom-mended needed parts and labor. He scheduled to return at my convenience to complete the repair.The charge for the troubleshooting and estimate were reasonable. Thanks

Very very poor management in my opinion.I manage a property and we needed a second opinion, scheduled these guys....and they got rained out..was told someone would get in contact with my to reschedule...a week later still nothing . I called to follow up and see when a tech would be out and they said within a day or two....another week later he came at, 6 pm when I was closing ....now its been a week And still havent received my estimate from the visit..called Monday of this week (its now Thursday) and the lady said she sees notes but nothing else about the estimate and she would get back with me....still waiting.
