At first the lady that I spoke to didn’t seem to know much about my son’s school and or his needs. The next young lady was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. She went through and gathered everything he needed (that they had in stock) and answered all my questions. The one thing that was not in stock they are shipping directly to the school at no extra cost to me. So that was awesome.Over all….Prices were ok.Staff was awesome!Cleanness was great.If your kid is going to participate in band give them a try. They have payment plans and they have Insurance available. Insurance cover repairs and replacements. They will even pick up the busted instrument from the school, repair it, and return it to the school.

When I called Amro to ask about some clarinet reeds, Kayla was extremely courteous and helpful. This type of customer service is not found much anymore, and I wanted to give a shout-out to Kayla for making my experience with Amro a pleasant one. This is an excellent way to gain my repeat business. Kudos to you, Kayla!

We bought a new piano from Amro before pandemic, a string of one key was broken, and they did replace it BUT after a month. I wondered did they really check it before the delivery?And last month, we booked an appointment for tuning at this weekend. NO ONE shows up today!!!!!! We called back and custom service told us there was no record in their system. Excuse me? We spent about $10K to buy such a good custom care like this?

I called the store first to ask questions about renting online because we are quarantined and I was unable to meet the rep at my daughter’s school to pick up her instrument. The man that I spoke with was so nice and patient with me. I ordered that day and 2 days later we had a trumpet at our door! The ordering process was smooth and speedy and the prices were very reasonable. Great place to do business with!

We have had wonderful experiences with Amro for many years. They have moved a piano, tuned a piano, repaired a piano (!), been a place for piano recitals, and clarinet repairs... they have always been considerate, knowledgeable and helpful.

Alice was fantastic. The store was kind of crazy busy (It seems like every seventh grader in Memphis got instrument assignments this week), she still made sure all of us were taken care of. The team also worked together really well, communicating and assisting each other as well as the customers. Amro supplied my first flute over 20 years ago, happy to be able to bring my kid in for their first clarinet.

We rented a violin for my daughter to take orchestra at her elementary school. The instrument was in excellent condition. They are easy to work with and when it came time for my daughter to change instruments, returning the violin was hassle free. There is a reason they have been around for so long. They know there business and value every customer.

I had a very pleasant experience at Amro. Johniece was very helpful and informative and answered all of my questions. She made sure that I understood the contract and everything that it covered, as far as the instrument. Johneice was very personable and knew about the instrument. She recommended locations that I may able to get private lessons for instruments other than strings. Overall, my experience was a great one!

I have been going to Amro for years. Recently, I was inspired to pick up the violin again after many, many years. Alice helped me tremendously. A real music wonderland.I was looking for a full size violin for my daughter. She used a 3/4 rental violin and considering to transfer to a full size.Alice in the Amro store very kindly helped my daughter through the whole process. I purchased a Roland FP-30X from AMRO, and I am extremely pleased. Ben Fonville was a pleasure to do business with. He allowed me to clunk away at the pianos (Im a beginner) while deciding which I wanted and has been available to answer all my questions after the sale. He single handedly loaded all the boxes (which are heavy) into my Civic (which is small) on a hot and humid day (he was wearing a suit and tie). He has been great and I highly suggest taking your business to AMRO and Ben Fonville. And Joel Hurd is awesome too! Started off with a trombone rental for 6th grade band, which seamlessly transitioned to a new trombone purchase for the future! Alice has been very helpful and pleasant through both transactions! Today made all the difference in my young musicians outlook! We came to Amro to hold an instrument that he was instructed to play in his high-school marching band. I have been wanting to get back into playing the cello for years now - I played for nearly 8 years, including 3 years in a Performing Arts Magnet program in high school. I quit playing for a number of reasons, but realized that I would not be happy with myself if I didnt at least try to play again. So this past Black Friday, I walked into Amro without an appointment or consultation, and walked out with a beautiful Catania cello set as well as everything I needed to get started. Nathan was extremely patient, understanding, and helpful, and didnt judge me (too much) when I tried to play a little (keeping in mind it has been more than 15 years since Ive even touched an instrument). He even helped me find a good deal on a metronome/tuner, collapsible stand, and cello care kit. Meg at Amro Music helped us for literally years as we considered different options for an upright piano. She was always helpful and knowledgeable. A month ago while we are all still in the pandemic, I was able to use Amro’s online to find the piano my husband and I finally agreed on. I then texted Meg and was able to set up the rental agreement and schedule delivery and the tuning about a few weeks later all via text and email. The delivery was super quick and the delivery staff wore masks. The tuning staff wore a mask as well. It was a great experience. We are enjoying our piano.

They fully support Memphis musicians, young and old, amateur and pro, teachers and students alike. Ive purchased many pianos from Amro, as have my students; Amro makes sure everything is perfect. If you are in the market for a piano or have piano-related needs (eg., moving, rental), I urge you to work with the coordinator of the piano department, Ben Fonville. Ben will always make time to talk with you, to listen, and to problem solve. And he makes sure you are taken care of.

I recently rented a piano from Amro to enjoy while I am home indefinitely quarantining. Working with the lovely Meg Chambers at Amro, I was able to select a piano and finalize the transaction without ever going into the store. Meg asked for my preferences and searched for the perfect piano for me. She sent me photos of the options and videos of the pianos being played. The process could not have been easier, and it was a lot of fun. Meg was wonderful, and a pleasant crew delivered the piano I selected to my house within a couple of days. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Amro. I highly suggest leaning into the arts right now and buying or renting an instrument from the good folks at Amro!
