Im very impressed with the results of my son being here for 7 days. He is Autistic/Schizophrenic. (23yr) He received the type of treatment that was right for him. There were no concerns with the staff or treatment. They discharged him with a plethora of information and a follow up appointment with his provider. I had everything else he needed set and waiting for him upon discharge. He has been home 4 days and is doing amazing. We want to thank everyone here for their time, patience, and care.

I would rather die than go back to this place EVER AGAIN. For starters the doctor and some of the staffs seems like they do not care about the patients. I was hospitalize due to Suicidal ideation and self harming. For starters they move me to the wing with the MOST aggression or violence PEOPLE. They told me that they move me on the wrong wing. I spent like two on North wing and I was very scared I had to wait until a bed came available on the South wing with people who suffer from depression.

Do not go here if you are seeking an outpatient treatment evaluation, they will involuntarily commit you against your will EVEN IF YOU ARENT A HARM TO YOURSELF OR OTHERS. They DO NOT CARE. you will be kept indefinitely even if you are fine.the only good thing I can say is if you go on South wing everyone is for the most part and the staff is nice as long as you are nice back. group therapy is okay and helps you put things in perspective and the place is for the most part clean. BUT BE AWARE THEY WILL KEEP YOU INVOLUNTARILY AND INDEFINITELY!!!!!but Dr. Trautman was the best and everyone should have him as their doctor if they go. everyone complains about the other psychiatrist (older Caucasian lady I believe?) as she lies constantly to her patients about their release and keeps them there. ask to have Dr. Trautman cause he actually cares and listens.

I stayed at Crestwyn for 6 days on South unit. I enjoyed it very much (Only thing I wish I would’ve brought magazines or books) and met awesome human beings. There was great staff as far as the intake, doctors, nurses, therapists, the south clean up lady and cafeteria workers. It was awesome meeting Miss Lo, Miss Andrea, Miss Kesha, Trudy, Rondo, Emory, Miss Rachel and it’s soooo many more whose names I can’t remember. Thank you Crestwyn and everyone working on South unit in May 7-13, 2021 ❤️.P.S. It was great meeting Johnathan, Phares, Miss Judy, Miss Tina, Mr. Charles, Blane, Erika, Marlon, Joe, Madison, Brittany, Ricky, Mr. David, Jimmie with an “ie” 😂💕, Mr. Charles, India, Rhianna and so many more who stayed there when I did.

My experience with Crestwyn is their lack of care and concern for patients who are chronically ill and have to be admitted on a regular basis. Doctors do not return calls. Patients with serious mental health issues should not be released to homeless shelters...EVER!!!!

My brother was admitted to Crestwyn (without any warning) and he is on the spectrum and is on a gluten/dairy free diet because of behavior issues as well as stomach issues when he has it. The staff has been told of this several times and they even said they have spoken to the head of dietary services (whatever may be the official term) and they said he will only have meats, fruits and vegetables. When speaking to my brother on the phone, he has told my parents he has had brownies, pasta, bread, etc. Not to mention the phone is left on hold for at least 15 minutes usually (sometimes more) whenever my mother calls to speak to him.

I went here in 2017 as an in-patient. The only good thing I can say about this place is the food. The staff is not trained to handle nor care for the patients that reside there. They argued with the girls and approached problems unprofessionally. When I encountered a physical interaction with one of the other children, the staff worker brushed it off and pretended she did not see it. This is not the place to send mentally ill children, please choose another facility.

I first came to Crestwyn in 2019 a day after my 11 month old baby died and I tried to end my life. The first face I saw when getting off the ambulance was Dr. Lucas Trautman. I’ll never forget the compassionate look on his face. I was a broken, ashamed herion addict. He treated me like a person. During my stay at Crestwyn Dr. Trautman not only physically brought me back to life but gave me hope that I had a life to live. After, about a year and half I fell again in to the battle of the disease and AGAIN, Dr. Trautman was there. No judgement-just care. This time he pushed me hard. I actually asked him “why do you care so much whether I live or die”. He saw something in me that I was never able to see-the real me that the drugs had taken over. All the staff at Crestwyn is caring and dedicated. In my opinion Dr. Trautman is so much more than a “Psychiatrist”. He is in the life saving business. Today, I am almost a year sober and an active member of the recovery community. I owe most of the praise to God but without Dr. Trautman and his compassion and ability to see the patient beyond the disease, I truly don’t know where I’d be today.

A joke of a facility. My boyfriend was admitted to Crestwyn after suicide attempt and the center did nothing to help inform or comfort him during this “mandatory holding period”. No one could tell him when he would be released or what was going to happen during the time he was there because there was only a doctor on sight once each week. When he finally got to meet with the psychiatrist after THREE days of being there, it was only for about a minute. He never got the chance to express his concerns or needs, they just assumed and sent him on his way. The nurses were uninformed and tired. Staff was cranky and mean. He is transgender and even with this knowledge they chose not to use the correct pronouns, which is why he attempted suicide in the first place. Patients were held in a room with no therapy, treatment, or anything to do. No exercise, limited smoking breaks, and no outside time. When there was therapy, it was a group session and maybe lasted 15 minutes. Staff does minimal work that they can get away with. Don’t waste your money and please find a place that will take better care of your loved ones. Find a psychiatrist and a therapist with credible reviews. The only positive thing he has to say is that the food was good.

If you’re thinking about getting treatment here, especially if you’re a minor, please read this review. i aim to help educate you.its really hit or miss with this place, as it is with most mental health facilities. when i was thirteen, i spent almost my entire summer at crestwyn, outpatient and inpatient (i’m sixteen now). crestwyn is the best place in the memphis area to go, or so i heard from the kids in my unit who had been abused at places like Lakeside or St. Francis. we were not abused at crestwyn. the mental health techs- the people who looked after and supervised us- were fantastic (most of them, anyway). almost all of them were very laid-back and kind and fun, and they made me feel safe. the other kids there were what helped me the most, i think. crestwyn did save my life. but it wasn’t the professionals who did it.my outpatient therapists were amazing- i still see one of them outside of crestwyn. however, my inpatient therapist wasn’t great. i didn’t like her. there are some good therapists at crestwyn, but there are also some bad ones, and you don’t get to choose who you’re assigned to. i didn’t like my doctor either. and this is the main problem with crestwyn- the meds situation. i was on too many meds at one time and was often switched on and off of different ones every few days. i was tired and out of it most of the time because of this. my parents never once got the chance to speak directly with my doctor, though they tried. i didn’t ask for the medication (except melatonin). the doctor would ask if i was anxious or depressed, and if i said i was, suddenly i was on new meds. it’s obviously frowned upon to refuse your medicine, so i just took mine every day. i’m no longer on any of the meds i was on in there; i shouldn’t have ever been on them.overall, i would recommend crestwyn. good mental health facilities are hard to find, and, other than the medication, my experience was a really positive one. please get help if you need it, and if you need a facility in this area, i would go with crestwyn.also, the rumors are true- the food is incredible.

There are things at Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital 9485 Crestwyn Hills Cove Memphis, TN 38125 that need to be looked into and addressed. I was terminated by the Human Resources Director Stacy Stuckey-Tyler for an incident I was called to administration where I entered a meeting with the CEO, Risk Manger, Human Resources Director, DON, and the interim DON. . I told them that the day was very hectic as we were under staff and out of the patient to staff ratio. We had 24 patients, a 1:1, and LOS with only two staff present to handle the unit. The patients were out of control on this day and several things were taking place on the North Unit of the hospital. Me and the other staff were constantly having to take psychotic patients on to a unit that psychotic patients shouldn’t be placed on due to them being psychotic and being placed in population where there are detox patients and patients who weren’t psychotic. Taking one staff member off the floor to assist with getting these patients to they’re rooms on another to use the bathroom, or to perform hygiene, nor could these patients rest or get leisure time because they didn’t have a bed on the unit that were supposed to be on. Also on that particular intake brought a patient to the unit and when brought patient information to nurse station without a chart but just stack of papers and sat them down along with other things on the desk so who knows if the sheets got misplaced or picked up when I take returned to gather the patients information to take it back to put it in a chart. I explained to them that at he end of my shift I handed off property to the incoming staff and so did the other staff member on the unit. but we did have eyes on our patients because those sheets that were missing were patients who were actively involved and participated in activities all day on our shift. The meeting went on with them making sure I understood the importance of those check sheets also discussed ways to get everyone on the same page no verbal, written, or final was given. The meeting ended with everyone saying how hard I work and how they want me to help everyone else work hard as I do and get on board with insuring that we constantly keep our patients first. No one stated I was loosing my job or was being terminated or written up. On yesterday I was terminated by Human Resources director stating that she turned it in to corporate and this was they’re decision. It hurts me to the core because I have been there since day one, the only original employee in that hospital. I have given my time, heart, and all to the hospital. The Human Resources director Stacy as of yesterday after being terminated having staff to callMe and see what type of actions I was going to take from being terminated, where is my head and if I will tell all I know, that she is worried and wondering about how much information I will give out. I’m really hurt. Human Resources Director has done a lot of unethical things that are wrong. She has covered for employees of who she likes and has personal relationship with, she has threaten and fired employees wrongfully, she has private relations with some staff members, she has asked other staff to write statements in an attempt to help her get staff out the building, she has covered random drug tests for some employees so that will pass or not be at fault, she worked very hard to get our former CNO terminated in which she was just recently fired, she has manipulated staff and paperwork/files, she needs to be investigated. Crestwyn has been housing and accepting patients who don’t even have a bed, taking in these patients and having them sleep in day rooms and comfort rooms until they can get them a bed, playing psychotic patients on no. Psychotic units to sleep because they didn’t have a bed on the proper they should go. Accepted and adolescents who was total care and placed in on the adolescent unit with no bed rails, no proper bed for the child, no CNA’s

Debra Gill is professional and thorough and so is Kimberly Rickels . Donald and Ashley are very good at what they do. The 3-11 shift on east wing is strict. Tony is too strict.I was there again from 4/26 to 5/1 in 2020. I will say that Kyle seemed very friendly on East. So did Ashley. Donald seemed content on proving that he had a cold. Tony can be unfriendly at times but I made up with him in the end. I think he favors Females but you didnt hear it from me. The staff from the Outpatient department came by East unit but all three of them ignored me. Sierra Graham spoke to me the first time that she checked on the patients on East side (and in doing so brightened up my day). But she didnt speak to me on her second visit. I was upset but I got over it.ButJoyce & Chelsey also deliberately ignored me. Joyce is more friendly than either of the other two when I am in the Outpatient dept. Joyce and JaLisa are very nice. But Sierra Graham is the glue that keeps OUTPATIENT from falling apart in Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital.Joyce is the tape that holds everything in place. Chelsey Smith can make your day with her friendly but unflirtatious smile. The same is true for Sierra Graham although she can be seductive. No doubt; Chelsey Smith and Sierra Graham are friendly but Jalisa and Joyce are moreso. Jalisas friendliness is the fabric that makes Crestwyn Outpatient a second to none facility. If Sierra was that friendly then the patient count for males at Crestwyn Outpatient would be 500 instead of 20. If there is someone who doubts this then they just underestimate the power of a beautiful woman. I am just glad that I was allowed to be a orbit around Sierras 🌞 Sun for a while. At the time I felt as warm as Mercury but now I feel as cold as Pluto.I get a copy of the bills that go to my insurance company so I cant understand why three people cant even say Hello because if it wasnt for people like me there would be an unemployment problem for one or more parties. But on the other hand Sierra Graham did speak to me and I immediately smiled and had a better day than I would have had.Again Kimberly R. is way too busy and the lady that she assigned to me for therapy spent 20 minutes of every hour in the restroom. Then the therapist Kimberly assigned to me lost her keys and they searched me for them. She told me she was only supposed to spend 15 minutes with me and the other clients that she was assigned to.Tico helped to make for a good is departure. He is just the opposite of Tony on the 3-11 shift on East.Tico should be employee of the month. Orperhaps Sierra. The food is great but they play games with you when its time to eat. The last time that I had to line up three times just to eat I was in first grade. Most patients deliberately wasted food when I was there. The last time I posted for the April 26-May 1, 2020 Crestwyn stay it got mysteriously purged from Googles database after 2 weeks. I dont know what will happen to this post but I think everyone knows that this is the absolute TRUTH.If people didnt play games none of these reviews would be anything but absolutely FAVORABLE to everyone involved. Google even now doesnt have the only REVIEWS and the others were not taken down. In the future there will be more REVIEWS available on the Internet and people who seek to know the TRUTH OR WHO WISH TO MAKE A TRUTHFUL COMMENT CAN DO SO WITHOUT worrying if they are wasting their time.I hope that this helps someone who is thinking of going to Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital for Inpatient or Outpatient services. Inpatient is better than any otherplace that I have ever been when someone thought that I was a threat to myself or someone else. Outpatient is okay too except that everyone except SierraJalisa has forgotten whoare the people that are responsible for them being employed.

I took my son for treatment for depression and suicide attempt. It was a tall black man who assessed him. He did not introduce himself and the first thing he said was stop that tapping on the desk to my son. My son is a drummer and just attempted suicide 2 days before walking in there. He was in a very fragile state of mind. The man doing his assessment seems agitated by my son as he kept shaking his head and leaning his head down while writing. He asked my son why he attempted suicide. My son said I dont know. With a loud and stern voice he said Come on man, your saying you just woke up in the morning and said I am bored so you decided to kill yourself. I couldnt believe he was talking so abrasive. It made me very uncomfortable and could tell right away this was not going to work. We made it through the assessment and walked out. My son said in the parking lot I think I frustrated him. I just dont understand why he didnt talk kind and caring to him. It was a strict teacher in school or something. I definitely wouldnt recommend Crestwyn with employees like that working there.

This hospital is a joke. My 16 year old daughter was sent here for anxiety and depression. The nurses have no idea how to deal with young adults who are dealing with these types of problems let alone any other problems. My daughter also stated they only had group therapy once a day for less than an hour, the rest of the time was “free time”, in which my daughter witnessed several fights between patients, and also a patient being restrained by a nurse while being scratched in the face by another. I wasn’t even contacted by the hospital concerning my daughter’s treatment or her condition, I contacted them to get updates. She only saw the therapist once in her stay there, how is that supposed to help anyone. Please don’t send anyone to this hospital, my daughter is traumatized by her stay there, she even called me to come pick her up because she didn’t want to stay any longer!!!!!!!! I hope this post will influence people to not go to this hospital and that something will be done about this place. I can’t really begin to describe my experience. I came in for a consult. Just to talk about options and get information. I had an appointment time.. yet came in and sat in a waiting room for TWO hours. When finally called back I was taken to another room where my phone was taken away and I was put in a room with nothing but a chair and no one to explain what was about to happen. A nurse came in to take my temperature and blood pressure which made no sense to me. I was not being admitted which I kept explaining to people but no one seemed to listen. The nurse left and I was alone in the room again. No explanation or expectation given. After a few minutes I wandered out of the room into an empty hall to find someone. I had to bang on a door that was answered by someone who was very unfriendly in order to ask what was up with the taking of my phone. I was not told that would happen or told how long they would have it so I was unable to let people know I would be unreachable. They allowed me to go into another room to make a phone call and when I was done and ready to leave the room, the doors were locked. I had to bang on the door for someone to come and let me out. Which shouldn’t have but took a few minutes and was very jarring and scary. I had no idea the doors would be locked behind me. At that point I decided to leave. There was no explanation of what I was to expect. Really no thought or care for the comfort of the patient. Bad communication. Bad bedside manner. Just all around horrible experience. It was the strangest experience of my life. The next day, I made an appt at Bradford Health clinic to do the same thing. A person sat down with me at the time we had set and gently gave me my options talked to me and answered my questions. I was in and out in 45 minutes. A normal human interaction. I was not treated like an animal at the vet. I had my phone the entire time and Did not have my vitals taken....People need to be made aware of what they are getting into. If this is your protocol you need to set the expectation.

If you have a loved one at Crestwyn right now, please don’t be fooled by the niceness of the facility and the unsubstantiated claim on their website that they’re the “leading psychiatric inpatient treatment hospital in Memphis.” I was hospitalized for two weeks at Crestwyn. The place is like something you read about in those nightmare descriptions of mental health hospitals during the 1960s and 1970s. I am a young mother and had no prior history of mental health issue before entering the facility. Problems I encountered included: my family was not able to verify I had even been admitted/was safe for over 24 hours after I was taken there from the hospital in my town. I was left in soiled scrubs (menstrual blood and breast milk, as I had been nursing an infant at the time) for over 24 hours without being given clean scrubs or the clothing my family delivered. Other patients, some who had been there for weeks, were denied clean towels and laundry services. We ate dinner at 4:30 p.m. and were not permitted to eat again until 9 a.m., and were also denied regular access to water. We were told phone messages from our loved ones would be given to us, but they weren’t, and the hours that were posted for the phones were not actually held to, so it was very difficult to call home. The staff allowed patients to engage in physical contact, and one young woman (a 19-year-old who was about to embark on an educational training program) told me that her “boyfriend” (another patient who was more mentally ill than she was) was “trying to get her pregnant” through unprotected intercourse at the facility. Other patients had violent interactions that were terrifying to witness and were allowed to escalate. I had never been in an environment even close to this and was terrified. While you would think staff members at a place like this would try to help patients feel calm and supported, the majority of them were mean-spirited or neglectful. Some of the staff members mocked me and demeaned me, one even telling me I seemed like the kind of person who would have no friends (I have plenty of friends), and another nurse outright messing with my head in my unstable state. Other staff members ignored us and played with their phones off in the corner the whole time. There was no standard therapy; we were handed out sheets from Martha Stewart’s website to discuss during the group sessions. Yeah, okay, I’ll admit it, as some commenters said, the food was really good – with some quite surprisingly pricy cuts of delicious meat! -- but come on, that obviously doesn’t make up for the treatment. The experience was harrowing and degrading, and far worse and more psychologically traumatizing than the experience that led to my hospitalization. I used to be a dignified person, and it took me a full two years to recover from being at Crestwyn. I actually feel like I survived hell. I do not understand why this place hasn’t been shut down. If you have a loved one who has been placed at Crestwyn, pound down the doors to get them out and into a decent facility. If you were told it was the only place they could find an open bed, well, the reason why is because its a horrible place no one wants to be at. Get your person out of there and bring a lawyer if needed. My family did not do more to protect me and it remains a sad, difficult thing between us. Please don’t let your family experience the same pain and regret.

Do NOT go here! I cant stress that enough. They seem very nice when you are checking in, but once they get you in there, they have total control, and they dont care. They are rude, mean, and just dont care as long as they are getting the money. My child was here for 13 days. At first they said it would be 3-5 days, then 5-7, then 7-10...it was 13! They cant control the people in the facility, and they pretty much allow bullying. They just take the other person and put them in their room for a bit. The nurses and Techs are mean to the patients, and even the families that come to visit. 13 days and they couldnt get a Doctors order for my child to have a blanket. Dr. Mukatira didnt call me one time, not one. I called and left messages just to find out information from anyone, no call back for days. I was supposed to get a piece of paper to take to my childs therapist, the director of nursing said to wait there a minute, never came back. We waited 30 minutes. She locked us in, we finally had someone else let us out. We drove 5 hours one way for an hour and 15 minute visitation. They cut it 15 minutes short 2 different times. They have NO consideration for the family. They do not care. The only person here that cares and will help is Cyntrice. She is very kind and caring. She goes out of her way to answer any questions you may have. If she is off or not there, you will not get a phone call or any assistance. This was our first experience with anything like this, and hopefully our last. If we ever have to go to a facility like this again, it will NOT be this one.

This place is a NIGHTMARE, Do NOT ever go here, its nasty, no therapy, its like jail, its horrific. U get NO therapy, they are just babysitters, it should be shut down completely. Food is disgusting, the whole place is a joke, Im calling Andy Wise & every news station, they treat people like animals. I must say there were a few techs that were caring & very nice. Insurance Scam Only, Dont go!!!!!!!!!!

The worst 4 days of my life. I came out worse than when I went in. I was truely traumatized by my stay. Nursing staff was uncaring and cruel. Techs slept in the hallways while doing 1:1 watch. The showers were scalding hot with a push button knob for water that lasted 30 sec at a time and you could not adjust it in any way. When discharged i was not given a copy of my crisis plan, therefore had no phone numbers or names for follow up appts.

I was admitted into Crestwyn in November for a suicide attempt. It was an awful facility, and most of the staff didnt care about any of the patients. In fact, I remember one time when people were punching the wall and the staff simply said dont come asking us for ice later. I only saw my therapist once in almost two weeks. It was always cold, and they treated the openly lgbtq people worse then the rest. The only good things to come out of that place was a few amazing friends, my girlfriend, and the great food.

Honestly I went here in high hopes that I was gonna get better but all crestwyn seemed to do was make me frantic. Always cold and the staff was horrible. Only good thing came out of it was some people I met and meeting the love of my life. This was in November and now it’s February. I still seem to be very slowly getting better and life is still a challenge. Thanks for my friends crestwyn but your staff is the worst. My NP sent my info by fax and called the facility to tell them I was coming, I myself also called them. I got to the facility at 4:40, waited a while, I was then put in another area with locked doors to wait to be admitted, at 9:00 pm I knocked on a frosted window to get someone’s attention, the young lady came out, I told her I had been there 4 1/2 hours and I was leaving, she said they did not want to refuse me treatment but they did not have a bed for me. I asked were they going to let me sit there all night and she said “no, we have someone coming to access you and we are sending you somewhere else”! I wasted 6 1/2 hours between the drive there and back and waiting time!👎🏻

This place was horrible . I didnt want to send my child their but I felt forced. My kid has autism and schizophrenia.. they didnt give him his medicine for the schizophrenia.. they let other kids beat him up. He had bruises on his left side of his face within 3days. . They couldnt get my name right the whole 2weeks he was their . All the staff was rude . They have no problem LIEING to the parent. My son came back worse. This place is no good . Dont send your child their if they have any type of mental condition. He was discharged just yesterday April 26 2019. The only one I could get straight answers from was the therapist Ms Kenya ext 237. She was nice. Everyone that works on WEST unit was a liar n rude. Keke a nurse threatened my son. Another nurse dug her nails in my sons back. Another nurse threatened to choke him out. . this place is only about money . . DONT send any kid their. Im also talking to my lawyer Monday to have this place looked in to.

I have been at Crestwyn since May 29,2017. I came in involuntarily due to an unsuccessful suicide attempt. I was here for 10 days and within those days I cried, laughed, and healed. The staff here cares a lot about the patients and their recovery. I am now in the outpatient program which is more close knit therapy. Another plus is great food ☺️ But all and all I would recommend this facility to anyone struggling with any mental illness or substance abuse

This is the worst place ever. They are so unorganized and unprofessional. And no matter what you have to say or post about this place. It seems to get no better. I really feel that the state should monitor this place a little closer than they are. Its just sad all of these negative post and nothing has been done about it.

Only because there is no ZERO. This place is abusive. My wife went there on our own accord and were told her dietary (Vegan) restrictions would be met. She has been there almost a week and has only been able to eat banana and salad. No one at the facility will return calls. She still has yet to see a doctor. And No meds. How a hospital can accept a person who is on meds and then cut them off meds when they are admitted. The state has been called and they are investigating this place

A very bad experience. My son was recently discharged after a 10-day stay from Crestwyn. He had admitting himself to get help for psychological problems (bi-polar, psychosis). During the input process we were all told he could check himself out at any time. We briefed the staff he was not violent, would occasionally binge drink, and about two particular meds that aggravate his condition. He requested to be discharged after being there for three days. A second opinion from a psychologist after we said we would take him home was all it took for my son to be committed and receive a court date. He was assigned to the unit with the most acute patients and was prescribed the same meds that the staff were advised would aggravate him for nearly three days. The majority of the patients in his unit seem to have sent there by the justice system. These patients would verbally abuse the other patients like my son. The staff failed to curtail the abuse, and chose to ignore it. My son has suffered with mental health problems for years. He is kind and forgiving, has never been arrested, is not a troublemaker or drug addict. After speaking to the doctor, on the ONE AND ONLY occasion we caught him with a phone call to the nurses station, were we able to get his medication changed. This was a traumatic experience for my son. Our hope now is that he can put the Crestwyn nightmare behind him and continue on with proper mental health treatment.

This was the best place I could have ever chosen to go get help at! Unlike other behavioral health places in the Memphis area, Crestwyn is a very nice facility staffed with the kindest and most helpful people ever! The Psychiatrist, Dr. Mukatira, the Counselors, Chantelle, Janice and Kimberly, the Techs, Tish, Terrence (both of them),Travis, Keith, Markel and Casandra, the Activity Counselor, Shelia as well as the cafeteria Chef, Mason to name a few. I went in depressed and hopeless and came out happy and hopeful. I could go on and on about how much I love this place and how much it truly helped me. If youre looking for a place to get help, I HIGHLY recommend Crestwyn. You will not regret it. I can assure you of that!

My sister went here For Only about a week and Two Days She Was basically Traumatized ! When Her friend went to see her my sister told her that The Pictures hanging on the walls And the clocks and any decorations were only a front for the visitors and any other day Right after the visitors leave They take everything down . They also always had excuses for when we tried to call and talk to her . The day she was supposed to come home She had talked to One of us Like maybe an hour before But they Must’ve given Her medicine that she didn’t need Before we picked her up Because She Couldn’t remember anyone and She Gets Scared Everytime men come around her and she saying things like “ no he’s coming I didn’t tell anyone “ and Crying when we get too loud she cries and says Nooo we’re gonna get shots But when we called up there all she could tell us was She had One Pill which is Lexapro But we believe they’ve done other things Every day around the same time she asks for her shot and they had her smoking cigarettes and black and milds . She also Cries And gets afraid when someone Touches Her Like they have Been touching her She is 18 Which is an adult And She is asking for things like Can I have a towel or can I drink this And stuff she shouldn’t ask at home She is Completely different and doesn’t remember anyone . I highly suggest if Anyone has a loved one in there to fight to get them out ASAP !!! And there are nothing but men in there walking around there Is no telling what is happening to people inside of this place and when she is back to herself we are going to fight for justice !!!

My son was evaluated by Carey Counseling in Paris, Tn was referred to Crestwyn because of suicidal thoughts. I am my sons POA and MED POA. He was there for 10 days and tyey woukd have kept him longer but we pretty much insisted.Tyese peopoe do not really LISTEN to their PATIENTS or their FAMILY MEMBERS WHO KNOW THE PATIENT WELL ! They failed to honor my POA/MED POA status. A very serious lack of communication ! Problem with paper scriots upon release. Pharmacist had questions and called for consult with prescribing physician, but not available and no return phone call. He was dischaged on Thursday and on Sunday still no meds for my son. I called multiple times thru out from Friday until Monday . Finally was told on Monday that the person with whom we needed to speak would not be in until Wed and it would be addressed. That would have been a week without needed meds for my son. Fortunately our pharmacist knows my son and knew he had been on these meds before and decided to go on and fill the scripts, because he knew he needed them. This was the absolute worst experience in a behavioral health facility an we have utilized a few. I will never allow my son to go there again ! I definetly do NOT recommend this place ! NOT PROFESSIONAL ! Please never go there and dont send a loved one there ! Also,I do believe tgey are milking the insurance companies big time ! My son should have been released after 7 days but stayed 10,even tho he was doing so well ! Believe they would have kept him longer but we insisted !

I recommend that you find help somewhere else besides here. I fell in the Gym and I was called a lier, and the nurs Akeem V. Told my husband I was faking and I just wanted attention. I have had 5 back surgeries and I am not supposed to fall. Akeem V. then taunted me every day that I was there until I was finally medically discharged. This facility is a combination of Prison and Elementary School. I am 42 and I made some progress but a very of the nurses will strip it out of you, and treat you as if you are just a problem they want to make go away. Please find another facility, because you may leave traumatized, and worse than you went in.

Half the techs are great, and the other half will continuously violate your HIPPA rights. Patient rights were violated several tens of times, doctors only take you seriously if youre rocking back and forth in panic. Im sure the adolescent unit is great, but if you want to spend a week on the adult unit having your life threatened by other patients who are given no consequences for such behavior, nurses that give you the wrong meds, techs that leave your chart laying around everywhere, techs that cant even use a blood pressure cuff correctly, and techs screaming amongst each other in a discombobulated mess, this is the place for you. Its a wakeup call if anything. During my stay, a patient managed to steal a lighter and smoke weed on the unit and steal everyones cigarettes, a tech named Wanda told everyone that if we died there our bodies would be put in a garbage bag and left by the interstate, she then was fired for refusing to leave the unit after being assigned to another unit after several patients complained about her behavior, two other patients, mentally challenged a bit, continuously physically violated me and several other patients in a sexual manner and though EVERY doctor and tech was aware of this, nothing was done about it. Absolutely nothing. Gotta love having your right to not endure verbal, sexual, and physical abuse broken consistently. But hey, still better than Lakeside. On the bright side, they have an amazing contracted trauma specialist, and some wonderful techs who make it such a personal experience and impact your treatment in a huge way. If it isnt super packed and insane, it can be very therapeutic. But on a unit with 26 other people, its a nightmare.

If I could give Crestwyn zero stars I would. I have had experience as a patient and an employee in BH, and I can easily state that Crestwyn was the absolute worst place Ive ever encountered. I checked in at the behest of my counselor who thought the relative newness of the facility translated into better care. She was wrong. The majority of the staff are black, racist, and hateful. The counseling services are severely impaired. The doctors at Crestwyn are the same ones shuffling through every other BH place in memphis btw. To anyone seeking BH service, I would caution them against Crestwyn.
