I deal with 5 freight companies and Pilot is the worst. When you call the national phone number, you get routed in a circle back to the start. It never connects you, so you cant get an update. The recording says to check the website, but it isnt updated. Then they route packages to Ohio (flood damaged area) vs. Memphis, without explanation. Now packages are lost.Again, you cant talk to a rep on the phone. Worst of all, the packages are routinely damaged and poked with forklift tines. The drivers are careless and ding the packages on the steel tailgate as the pull them off the truck.
All of the bad reviews are true. Terrible shipping service. Took off from work to receive my package and it never arrived. Had to reschedule multiple times. Also terrible communication.

Got a tv through fingerhut and received it messed up in back and unbalanced but still worked but not paying full price did a return and it’s been a week now and waiting for pilot to pick it up. They called on a Tuesday to schedule a pick up for Thursday between 10-2 so I wait all day on them call them at 4 to ask where they are at and they told me they never scheduled an appointment but they called me. They said they will pick up next day which is today from 10-2 I call at 2 and they said driver is late and now it’s after 6:30 and still haven’t heard from them and the number you call to talk them closed at 5 today. This is a horrible company. I will never deal with them ever again.
Got confirmation email of a delivery for 10/08/20. Took off work to be there for it. I called after item was not delivered and was told it was their mistake and would be delivered the next day and promised it would be before 11am because I would now have to take time off work again for this. 11am comes around, no delivery and no call to let me know they were on the way like I was promised. I called back and they apologized and said can deliver at 1:30 and I would get a call an hour before so I could get there in time. I called back at 1 bc I hadnt recieved call i was told I would. Samw guy I have been speaking to yesterday and today said it might be around 230 now. I am trying to do my job around times I was told I woild have my item delivered and pushing things around to make sure I am available only to have them not do what they said they will do. I asked to speak to a manager and he stated he was the manager. Wow. He offered no explanation or anything other than the item will be delivered today. Embarrassing a manager makes all these mistakes and cant do anything to fix it or actually make good on his promises.
This company is truly awful! I have a shipment schedule through Amazon to arrive from 3-6 and they changed the time less than 24 hours in advance. When I called they assured me that the time was switched to the correct time and they showed up at 1:30. They tried to force my neighbor to sign for the package. When I told them no, they will deliver it to me during the correct time window, they were rude and disrespectful! The supervisor was never available to have a conversation. They refuse to follow the times set forth by the company that is supplying them with business.When one half of my order arrived, it was broken in half. Yes, I will send it back to Amazon, but it is a huge dresser and will be a huge inconvienve due to the size.I would avoid this company at all cost! Amazon will also hear about how their shipping company is representing them!
Ordered a TV off Amazon and Pilot was the freight company assigned to deliver it. Pilot missed the delivery window and never showed up at all. Waited on hold multiple times trying to speak with a representative but was never able to reach anyone about the issue. Cancelling the order with Amazon just because Pilot cant do what they are supposed to!
Please be aware. This delivery service is terrible! They show no accountability when they mess up. Im very unhappy with the service I got. I actually had to pay more money to fix their mistake.
I ordered a TV through amazon and it never arrived. When i called the following day, they never even offered to deliver it then, instead they assured me it would be delivered the next day.... which never happened either. I called to complain, and they told me theres no complaint line. Eventually, i demanded a refund from amazon and wished them the best of luck with this horrible company. Pilot representatives were unapologetic and completely unacceptable. I will avoid Pilot shipping because this was hands down the most abysmal experience Ive ever had with a shipping company.
They missed their delivery. To top it they were unapologetic about it. Will avoid appliance shops deling with pilot freight.Update: Dec 13th: I change my review to 1 star following the feedback. Their VP of operations was quick to contact me followed by their memphis operations manager.Although they missed the initial delivery, they sent a separate truck just to get my appliance delivered that evening.I am happy to get my items delivered from a responsible organization.
So unhelpful. Passed the order off to Hill Logistics who was horrible and never delivered the order, but when I called Pilot never told me. They acted as if they still had the freight and were still trying to deliver it. Which never occurred.
