I truly don’t know how there isn’t a huge lawsuit in the Memphis area against xfinity. There are constant outages, making it impossible for someone to work from home. I’ve updated my modem, had countless techs come to my house, and have yet to find a reliable solution. Surprisingly, you can get in touch with their customer service pretty easily now, which is definitely an improvement. But since their lines are down constantly and they experience numerous outages a month, even kind customer service can’t help you. You are just out of luck until they’re able to get their equipment back up…which takes hours. Unfortunately Xfinity is the only provider in my area. I call AT&T monthly to see if they’ll bring fiber to my neighborhood so I can switch.

What a scam. Sent a tech out because when I moved in the internet wouldnt work. Told me if the issue was outside, I wouldnt be charged. Issue was outside, I still got charged $100. Basically, I paid to have it turned on outside. Speed is never what they claim. Always slow. You know its bad when Netflix buffers. Not impressed by these scammers.

This place has hilariously bad service (Highland Location). It’s honestly laughable how poorly managed this particular store is.For starters, The phone number doesn’t work. It’s disconnected. So you can’t call in, period.I walked in to pick up a router I had ordered to begin my service as a brand new customer. This should be as easy as to walk in, and them hand you a router, right? Wrong. They make you wait for 30-50 minutes because there’s 9 people ahead of me? That’s fine. I understand waiting my turn. But there are People are strung out across the store just waiting. Wouldn’t it be as simple as to package what they had ordered online once they get the order?I really hope that Memphis gets something besides xfinity because they have NEVER cut it. Absolutely piss poor.

The lady in person didnt have the ability to disconnect the address, so Im not sure what the point of even them being in the store is if they just put in a ticket the same as the ineffective people on the phone have been doing for months. About to dispute with my credit card and just let them deal with comcast as clearly Im not getting anywhere. Thought comcast had improved, but no, still awful

There was a line, but I think it was for activating service. I just needed a modem, so they took my phone number so I could sit in my car til they were ready. Aces in my book. I did wait 20 mins or so, but was much nicer to sit listening to music than standing in line. The lady helping me was super nice, understood what I needed and HOOKED ME UP!

800 mbps = **$131+.** after all the hidden costs before temporary promotions. 400mbps is $121. They force package deals to get their TV bundles.There a predictable 5 to 3 second lag spike every 15 minutes. Likely a server interrupt of some sort. This interrupts Netflix, Youtube, as well as gaming. (Yes, I monitored it. Formatted hard drive. Fresh install of windows)Unfortunately they have no completion in my area and the company knows it.AT&T needs to come in because this is a monopoly gouging their customers.

Got notification from Xfinity that my equipment from them was outdated & I needed to bring my old equipment in to receive the new & updated versions.I did. Got home found out the equipment didnt work plus parts were missing. Called Xfinity. After many frustrating tries with call drops & telling robot I needed to speak with a rep I finally got someone on the phone. Found out the equipment I received was OLD. Then was told if an Xfinity repair person came out to install the old equipment with parts that were needed the cost would be $70. The rep, Ms Ellie was fantastic in helping assess my situation & understanding my frustration, said she could send me the new equipment but it would take possibly a few days. Now Im without cable(this is day 2). Maybe I need a new Cable company??

I recently moved, and requested a technician come out to set up my internet. When he came out, he said that he wouldnt be able to because there were tree branches on my telephone pole. I talked to xfinity about it, and they said they would have my account on hold until I gave them a call to come back out. Once I had the branches removed, I gave them a call to come back out. After waiting for a couple of weeks, my account is charged for an additional month. I give xfinity a call because not only is my account supposed to be on hold, but no one has come out to fix my internet and I am unable to use it. They said they would backtrack it for the month I havent been able to use. A few weeks later and still no one has come so I give them another call. Now they say they cant send anyone out until the balance is paid, but there shouldnt be a balance of it was backtracked and put on hold. They claim to have backtracked it again and will send someone out. This happens again before I finally just decide to cancel the service all together. They customer service and whoever else is clearly just a waste of time.

I don’t know how to emphasize this enough: DO NOT use xfinity internet. Check AT&T coverage in your area. You may get a lower megabyte per second service but they will instantly help you and come out the same day or next day at the latest to fix an issue. Xfinity interferes with the internet access intentionally to try and β€œup sell” customers. They also do this if you try to use a 3rd party router. Do some light research with the FCC and BBB they have been consistently rated one of and the worst company in the COUNTRY when measuring customer service. Look up how to file a complaint with the FCC if you are a current customer. I put mine in today. AT&T is the way to go especially in Memphis. You can buy WiFi signal extenders that fix lower megabyte rates to supplement the difference in Comcast / Xfinity. They literally do not care. I’ve even been β€œhung up” on by a chat bit on their website. Which I’ve never experienced from any customer service bot from any company in my 27 years on earth. I didn’t believe the horror stories and it worked for a period but they just HORRIBLE. I never realized the gravity of the situation until it happened to me. With COVID internet is even more essential than ever and they refuse to service customers. This will cause them heartache and massive loss at least in my area as AT&T adds more fiber optic connections each month making Comcast the slowest option offering no advantage over att. Check if you have fiber optic internet in your area and cancel xfinity the minute you do. Xfinity has been the worst experience as a customer I’ve had in my life across any service type. It’s almost unbelievable most of the time how terribly they treat people. All we can hope for is fiber to get to our neighborhood soon. Then they’ll be a bankrupted segment of their business. Buyer and customer BEWARE.

Hoodwinked!I have an account with another internet provider but received information from Xfinity that GIGABIT SPEED 100MB is now available in my area! It would be nice to have more bandwidth, so I researched online for a few days and decided to make the switch to Xfinity (100MB + Preferred 200+TV).I prefer to speak face-to-face so I canceled my virtual cart and headed to the store on Poplar/Highland.GOOD:+ Clean Store; Like-new appearance; Good presentation inside+ Social Distance -limited customers inside, face coverings, plexiglass partitions, enforced 6’ separation in the line outside of the store, etc.+ Friendly Workers+Knowledgeable Staff+Products -like 100MB Internet SpeedNOT GOOD:-Their SALES TECHNIQUE was very β€œshady” and made me feel like they couldn’t be trusted.(1) Three of their employees helped helped me (together). Why? Was 1 or 2 of them training? Being evaluated? At times it felt like they wanted to intimidate me to choose an option. I knew exactly what I wanted when I arrived there.(2) Trust. In his presentation, there was a very quick mention that since I am the first on my street to get Xfinity, I would have to pay an additional $80.00. WAIT! WHAT? I received notice that this was available to me now? So I asked him to explain and if he would ask about waiving the connection fee. He agreed and so we continued. But he never did and appeared to have no intention of really doing so. They ran a credit check, set up an account, etc. I was in the final stages of the sale & I kept asking him if he was going to ask a manager about the fee. His last statement was that he would see about it later, after the sale, so I felt I had to leave. Why would he lie about this to get the sale? I likely would have agreed. Why would the other 2 associates not do or say otherwise? This behavior would lead me to believe this is the common practice with Xfinity.(3) During my time there he would keep going back to asking me questions about the kind of shows that I watch. I already told him when we first introduced ourselves. I already knew what package I wanted (Preferred 200+). Was he trying to get me to purchase addition channels? Was he trying to build report by small-talk? Was he trying to change the subject and have me forget the request to waive the $80 fee? I don’t know, but it was wasting our time.Also: Expect the typical Nickle & Dime fees (like most ISPs) TV fees, DVR fee, Modem/Router rental, etc.I am interested in their product, but I’m very disappointed in their team.

I went to this location both morning and later toward closing. I noticed in the morning the employees were more professional and nice. But my evening experience was not as great.The employees were more into themselves than the customers. They were carrying on personal work place chit chat and having a field day it seems.I get it, the end of the day is the best part, but any given time, you have one or two customers even, show the customer(s) respect and execute a business experience for them as well. Just my thoughts.

It’s a lot easier to get things done here than over the phone. I’ve been three times and was out in less that 15 mins. Two of the three times they solved the problem with my equipment (by replacing it with brand new equipment). In my observations, most delays came from unprepared customers not slow staff.

I cant give this location 1 star because I dont want to rate it off one bad experience. But my last experience was so bad I had to call Xfinity and talk to a phone rep. The young lady I was dealing with at this location was so bad. She acted as if she didnt want to help me. I wasnt greeted with a smile or did I feel like I was a valued customer. I was ready to leave and I will just do my business online after that.
