I have worked with a few home health agencies and by far since I moved back to Memphis, this is my favorite. One reason I enjoy working with the company is because they allow you to meet with the potential client and their family. This allows one to get a feel or vibe for the client. Another reason I like working for the company is the pay. Most home health companies only want to pay $9-$11. For my experience, they exceeded. I enjoy how I document my shift and notes. I like the fact that there is no writing. Everything is done by an application you download on your phone. My only complaint they will worry you about working weekends when you state you can.

Before you apply for a position with this organization, think twice. I highly do not recommend this organization at all. First and foremost, communication with the nurses, other staff in the office, and parents is not efficient. Second, if you have been on a case for a long time, you will not get extra shifts on that case permanently( even if you know that other nurses (on the case) can not work specific shifts. You have to work another case. Third is the pay. Good luck on that one. They do not value nurses with good work ethics (do not call in all the time and willing to work extra shifts on the same case permanently). Last, they have too many people in meetings, no one answering the phones, and less communication than ever. My experience working for this company HAS NOT BEEN GREAT.

It is a great place to work and I even had the staff to show care towards me and thanked me for the work that Ive done, since I have been employed there. It has been two years. If anyone has a problem, it just takes communication on both ends.

Overall, the experience of working with MHS is pretty cool. Whenever I have an issue, someone is there to guide me with the clinical experience/teaching by coming to the office or calling by phone.The only draw back is paper charting! They need an online software system to chart. But, paper charting teaches you to steer away from technology & go back to the basics.The only major issue I had was payroll services which was on the overall companys part. Im in MS & MHS is in TN. TN has a default global cash card policy & the lentgh of time it takes to cancel the card & initiate direct deposit is kind of lengthy. However, Annette/Anita [I believe this may be her name] & Tony made sure I knew the individuals to contact to locate my money.The recruiters [Andrew & Sarah] are very knowledgeable about each patients case which makes it easier to communicate.

We havent had our daughter home for a full week and nurses started calling out except for the night shift weekend nurse he has been excellent.

I am just appalled by the nurses that are hired at this company..I just had the worst experience ever...I hate my daughter requires a nurse...On today a nurse was sent to my home today and I received a phone call due to my mother and aunt stopping by to check on my child....she witness the nurse talking very rude and using profanity toward my child that is only 11 but can barely talk back....This is very unacceptable and thank God she was caught in the act because who knows what else she would have done....We go to these companies and trust them to to send us skilled nurses with compassion for our children..So has to be done..
