Ive been dealing with Taghavis Oriental Rugs for over 20 years now and have only praise for their work. Ive had quite a few Persian carpets cleaned and repaired at Taghavis and they truly do a remarkable job. I also have dogs and, of course, mistakes that must be dealt with. Again, my carpets come back in pristine condition, almost like new even though they are 60-7- years old. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

They are fabulous to work with and are honest, personable, and reliable. When repairs are needed, they explain all your options clearly and do excellent work. I would not trust my rugs with anyone else.

We brought in a Navajo rug for cleaning and repair. Hamid had never worked on one before but he worked to clean it by hand and then found matching wool to repair the old moth damage. The result was amazing. We are stunned how beautiful this rug is.

They did a great job cleaning and repairing our rug after our puppy devided to eat some of the trim. The rug is now as red as it was when new and the repair is virtually visibly. 😊

I cannot recommend Hamid and Taghavi Oriental Rugs enough. I brought to Taghavi three heirloom, antique Persian rugs for cleaning and restoration. Trust is very important in the relationship between rug owner and restorer. Hamid understood that I entrusted him with not only rugs, but with memory and family and love. Hamid walked me through the process step by step. The result was outstanding. The rugs look great, but more importantly, are protected from the ravages of time and use.

Hamid and his father professionally cleaned, conditioned, and repaired my 8 x 10 Persian Heriz rug. This rug is over 60 years old and has a lot of history, so I was very concerned with the care. As Hamid said this is a piece of art. Taghavis exceeded my expectations in restoring this rug.Unfortunately, my dog chewed an area of the rug roughly the size of a grapefruit. Not only did Hamid and his father repair the gaping hole, then also reinforced other areas of the rug that needed stability.The cleaning process is crucial in order to assess the true color of the fibers. Its also worth it to add strength to the fibers to decrease wear. Now, the rug is brighter than ever and is the statement piece in any room.I traveled from north central Mississippi to have this service performed. It was worth the drive and the short wait. Hamid does a great job of sharing his advice and informing me of the process. When it is time for the next cleaning/repair, we are taking our rugs to Taghavi.

Masters of their art. Our dog threw up on our oriental rug, and there was a hole in it as well. My husband found two options online in Memphis: a more commercial option and Taghavi. With their video and obvious expertise, we knew who we wanted to fix our rug. Ali inspected the hole and because the weave of the rug, he explained the threads are the entire length of it, but they could still fix it. They cleaned it - and we wish we could frame it - it is so beautiful and soft. They also repaired the hole and we cant even find where it was. Outstanding service and handiwork! Thank you!

My experience getting my oriental rugs cleaned was very similar to the other great reviews on the website. I found the ad in Memphis Magazine and even though I live in northeast MS, some 2 hours away, I called and Hamid set up an appointment to come evaluate my rugs.What I appreciated most was his explanation of where my rugs originated, how they were made, and if they continued to be made. I purchased all but one overseas, and I bought them because I liked them, not knowing if authentic. Lost in translation on my part. Hamid educated me about my rugs, gave me honest estimates on price to repair damages, and to clean and restore them. He also shared tips so I wouldnt further damage them. Nothing cost more than he estimated and some things were even less. And the rugs look new and feel softer than I ever remember. I tried to find repair work (and I remember what they looked like so knew they needed it) but can’t find except where they replaced fringe and when it is down no one can notice!!!Spectacular work and even more spectacular service. He is a kind, professional man and I made new friends with him, his wife and family. I have a Persian rug that needs cleaning once a year because of dog stains. 😒 I had been taking it to Fred Remmers for several years. They always returned the rug with less smell but still looking dirty.This year I decided to use Taghavi’s, and I’m so glad that I did! Hamid personally picked up the rug and immediately “diagnosed” all the areas of concern. He gave me a quote based on the rug’s condition and told me exactly what their procedure would be. When I got my rug back the following week, it didn’t even look like the same piece! It had NO visible stains and looked like new! Taghavi’s is more expensive than its competitors, but their quality of work is definitely worth it!

Taghavis just cleaned 3 rugs for me. Two were older Orientals that had not been cleaned for many years. Taghavis did an excellent job. After they were cleaned, the colors were brighter, the softness and loft of the rugs was back and I replaced old pads (who knew they got old and dried out). I was very pleased even if it is pricey. It is worth the cost.

I have been a customer of Taghavi’s for over 20 years. I came to them after another dealer in Memphis damaged one of my rugs while cleaning it. I have always been extremely happy with their cleaning and repair work. I have brought them dirty and sometimes damaged bargain rug finds and my wife and I are astounded at the transformation when they are cleaned and repaired, Also, my house was once burglarized and several rugs taken. My insurance company wanted proof of value. Since I had obtained them during overseas work travel I had no receipts for them. Because Taghavi’s were familiar with the rugs due to having cleaned them, they were able to provide me with an appraisal which my insurance company did not question.I have also purchased a several rugs from Ali and Hamid. Hamid and his father provide fantastic service! Ive had a persian rug repaired that has been in my family over 100 years and the restoration work was perfect. They also removed an old dated tired fringe, added a new hand dyed minimal trim which looked beautiful. Hand woven into the weave of the rug professionally. I wouldnt trust this heirloom valuable investment with anyone else. They understand rugs, weaves, patterns, worth, value, how/when to invest, repair, how to clean always treating their customers kindly. Oh my goodness! Hamid and is crew are MIRACLE WORKERS!!! I took in two carpets .... was actually embarrassed they were so dirty. Picked them up and they look like NEW!! Even the fringe was clean and white! I had forgotten how pretty the colors were in one of the rugs. Not only does this company have pride in their work, they are so NICE to deal with and talk to. I took a rug that I inherited from my mother to the Rug store and it came back absolutely beautiful. Soft and bright and just beautiful. I also had a couple puppies that tore the border and it was repaired to pristine condition. Super nice people!

I recently had 5 oriental rugs cleaned and moth proofed as well as some general wear repairs by Taghavi Oriental Rugs. I couldn’t be happier with the entire process from beginning to end. They were so nice and thorough in explaining the process and answered all my questions.After the rugs were cleaned, I went to their shop and we went over the wear damage and some extreme moth damage on one of the rugs. Hamid took care of my parents and their rug repairs. My Grandparents had antique rugs which were very expensive from Hungary and other places which had been damaged with some abrasive vacuum cleaners; Hamid and his Dad were able to re-weave new wool into the rugs to match the same pattern, in the same technique used to create the rug originally. This type of restoration is not only amazing, but requires lots of talent, skill and experience.

Quality work. The Taghavis shortened and reattached a section of a runner. One has to know it was shorten as the repair is unnoticeable to the untrained eye. They also cleaned and conditioned the rug. The runner is a one of a kind rug and I would not trust just anyone to work on it.

Taghavi Rugs gives great service. They gave me different options for several rugs. They all needed cleaning (it had been years) and some were moth eaten. It was very easy to pick and choose which services I wanted and they gave me all the costs up front (along with their professional opinion, of course). They saved me money by being honest about which repairs were needed and which were just going to be aesthetic and easily hidden by a chair or couch.

We’ve had a long term relationship with Tahgavi’s. We knew them when they first moved to Memphis end had mall space in one of the small shopping areas (carre four?). Hamid and the other children were really small.Through the years they’ve taken care of our rugs. They hand wash the rugs on a platform that is lowered into a pool of water to rinse and condition the rugs.
