I opened my policy 3 years ago. My daughter was 17 and had an accident on her record. i was 47 and my wife was 45. My agent told me that the policy was going to be high because my daughters age and her accident. This sounded reasonable and they were less expensive than other agencies at the time.Fast forward 3 years and we decided to take my 20 year old off the policy. We requested such and was told our policy would drop from $309 to $298 a month. Yes! a whooping $11 dollars savings.Of course with this knowledge we decide to ask questions, but have not received a call back with an explanation in over two weeks. we are currently still waiting for a call back.in the meantime during the last two weeks we have priced almost 7 different insurance companies. to our disbelief 6 of them were between $100 to $150 lower than our policy with Liberty Mutual. we even priced the policy with our daughter just to see the difference. in addition the parameters for the policies were almost twice as much. See attached spread sheet.We called customer service several times and none of them had an explanation. One of them even said this was average for our current policy.So if you are looking for auto insurance or are a Liberty Mutual customer you might want to look into someone else. we did and are no longer with Liberty Mutual. We still havent received a call back from Dustin. i will update when/if I do hear from him.

Awesome agent with great staff. They are always looking to save me money. Customer service is big for me because I do not ask questions often but when I do I want them answered quickly. Avoid this organization like the plague. I moved my house and vehicles to them in February 2019. I am leaving 6 months later in August 2019. Absolute Worst insurance company. My wife and I have never been so disappointed in a business. How can you raise our rate for NO REASON at all. Plus, they could not give us an explanation as to why this happened. No claim, no tickets, nothing. Even their own employee told us there are better insurance companies out there that offer better service. Thank you for your honesty.

They cancelled our insurance for very minor things, including a tree and having a chimney with chipped paint. If you have ever been to East Memphis, you know that is one of the prices of our neighborhood, old and mature trees. Additionally, the chimney is just a fancy exhaust - no fireplace in site. Jokes on them though. We swapped companies for the same coverage for less.

Trash. Rate kept going up when my driving record was flawless and truck getting older. This applies to any insurance company, but do NOT call and tell them about damage to your house as they will file a claim, without informing you, even if you withdrawal the claim because the damage doesnt exceed your deductible. Ive been overpaying for coverage for ten years but when I file my first-ever claim for water damage, they undervalue my flooring by more than 20% and were very unhelpful. However, this claim goes on my record and affects my future rates. Switched to All State to save over $1000 annually. Im feeling more freedom getting away from Liberty.

Canceled my policy due to the premium going up every month with no accidents or tickets of course, only to find out they never canceled it. Get a 200 dollar bill and call them and they say;sorry sir it was a mistake on our end so I think ok good. Wake up the next morning with ANOTHER BILL FOR 180 DOLLARS. Nice.
