Convenient walk to class and gated parking while I lived here for only 1 year in 2016. It was a brand development. Don’t know if it’s stayed up kept.
I wanted to give a shoutout to Gathers manager Myralia, who is doing a great job of turning this complex in the right direction. There have been minor issues, some to be expected, but I can tell she cares about each and every one of her tenants. There is still work to do to get this place to be the best it can be, but I am happy to know Myralia is here to make that process as smooth as possible!
Do not stay here! I spend the summer of 2019 at these apartment and had a terrible experience! I was asked to pay my rent upfront because it was just two months and I did. Now I am trying to purchase a car & house only to find my credit ruined by Gather Southern. I have opened TWO dispute claims with the TWO different agencies they have hired to collect debt that has already been accounted for. I believe they are taking advantage of student that don’t keep their receipts. Thank God I did! The office is super unorganized and I can’t believe they sent me to collections over fees that I paid. I’m now having to hire an attorney to sue the apartment complex and leasing manager that was there during my stay for letting this happen. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. If you do then you must be desperate after reading this review.
Convenient place to live on campus .close to everything g
The front office is so helpful and understanding when it comes to the leasing process. I’m a University of Memphis student so on top of the short distance from campus and I also am able to live near other UofM students while still having the freedom most dorm residence limit.
Love living here and enjoy my roommates
Comfortable place to live.
I really like living in this place. Staff members and maintenance people are nice and friendly. If you have maintenance requests and you follow the correct procedure and they will always get back to you as soon as they can. I might come from a different country but living here definitely makes me feel like home.
Great move in experience! Leasing office did an excellent job at pairing me with roommates who share my common interests
These apartments have really improved a lot since I moved in last year! At first, it seemed as if fees have gotten inexplicable, and maintenance staff was reluctant about fixing issues within the units (even when weve indicated that no one in the unit showed symptoms of COVID-19).However, theyve worked their hardest to improve the apartments over the following year since Megan Williams became the new Area Manager. People who were missing trash bins and cable the previous year were offered these things right from the leasing office, events were coordinated more frequently to keep the residents engaged, and theyve brought about occasional opportunities in response to lease renewal. They do their best to practice social distancing, and give residents tips on how they can stay safe within and outside of the apartments. Ive renewed my lease as of now and hope to continually have improving experiences at Gather.
I love living here the leasing office is super sweet and makes sure you are up to date and all your need are met!!
This place had a rough start when I moved in August of 2020. However, after undergoing new management and having friendly staff they had a big turnaround! Not everything is perfect, but it is clear they are trying their best to make things better.
I was interested in checking out the place but I had decided on another location. But the leasing office keeps calling you after! I tolld them I have selected another location already yet they still spam and call you!
I signed my lease in December for August 2020 move in. Since the pandemic started getting worse I have been trying to get in contact with management or even the leasing office. They rarely pick up and when they do nothing is resolved. I requested to move in early almost 2-3 weeks ago but today they said it’s still not confirmed which is astounding to me. I requested early move in for two reasons. I have an extremely weak immune system and do not feel comfortable moving in when the bulk of residents are and they are charging full months rent for two weeks of living with no pro-rated month. Which is fine. But in the process of asking I have been given the run around 4 times now. It shouldn’t be so hard to get people on the phone or even get something accomplished. Management is horrible for that reason. Some of the leasing agents are nice but aren’t too knowledgeable about specific questions. If I would’ve known they would be so difficult to get a simple response from I would’ve took my money elsewhere that would actually do the work timely and would actually be helpful during a pandemic.
Great location. Leasing was super easy and the office staff is super friendly. Megan made sure all of my questions were answered thoroughly before I committed to signing.
Love living here ! The maintenance crew is super friendly, attentive and fast. They’ve really managed to keep a sense of community while enforcing Covid regulations and do their best for people living here!
It’s providing me a second home away from home and gets me closer to school as well also having a room to yourself is another good thing instead of sharing a dorm room with someone you don’t know and also applied with the same appliance that an actual apartment would have.
Very Great spot on campus but maintenance are alway banging on my door like they are paying rent for my room. Nice place and great location but not worth paying $700 for one bedroom with three other roommates.
I have overall been blown away with my experience here!! The apartments are clean and very modern, but the customer service is exceptional! They go above and beyond for their residents and it shows!
I have an ongoing issue with Kierra. She is rude & unfriendly. She isnt very knowledgeable to be the leasing manager. Matt is very attentive to our questions & concerns. I am really rethinking signing a renewal lease. It is expensive to sending my child to college out of state during this pandemic and to be hit with rudeness every time we talk to Kierra is just sad. I feel as I am paying my money to be treated badly. Maybe she needs additional training or something. Definitely does not need to be the face of the leasing office.
Great place and fantastic staff. Highly recommended
Great atmosphere and Megan was very helpful with all details! I would recommend this place to anyone!
Gather Southern has such a friendly staff! They will help with just about anything you ask and are committed to keeping residents happy :)
Brooke gave my future roomies and I a tour a few weeks ago! She was amazing! Very enthusiastic! She had lots of information for us, and had a good answer to every question we asked, even the hard ones! She was great! Super excited to move in!!!
Wonderful place to call home! Great staff and facility all around!! Highly recommended!!!
They people working at the gathers are very kinda and helpful
Terrible management. Lived with ants because there was a hole in my wall and it was never fixed (lived there for almost 9 months). It rained in my room and once again they never came to fix it. Our washing machine was messed up and they never came to check it. There was so much lint in our laundry room from the previous tenants and we asked for it to be cleaned and it wasn’t. My shower water was cold, I RARELY could catch a warm shower here and there. They told me it was because me and my roommates took a shower at the same time (not true) and it was never addressed. These are just some of the problems I had not even the ones my roommates had individually! Their “emergency maintenance” man lived one hour away. The rooms and the apartment itself was great, but I wouldn’t recommend living there solely based on management and maintenance.
Brooke and Alison were so great to me and my mom! They made our tour experience very comfortable! They assured that I would be safe moving in this Fall!! I absolutely cant wait!!
Recently, I visited a relative who lives at Gather. While there, I encountered a young male, Robbie working the front desk. I couldnt believe how well this young man interacted with everyone he encountered. He handled whatever needed to be handled and seemed to know the residents well. It was so good to see such a young man handle himself so well. Great job!
If we were not in the middle of the pandemic, I would want to move in August. Due to Covid-19, and because I am an at-risk individual, I asked to buy out my lease. We are in the middle of a pandemic, with no cure or a sign of an effective vaccine, and we have no idea how our bodies will react when exposed to the virus. They could have at least allowed a buy out of the lease by requesting payment of half of the amount of the lease. All I know, because of my weak immune system, I do not want to put my life at risk. I am not positive how diligent management is with cleaning or with wearing their mask. If not management, I am not sure about the other residents. I feel like I am being punished for wanting to protect myself. It’s not like the overarching circumstance - Covid-19- was within my control.
The front desk staff is amazing!!! really makes you feel like you’re in a community. I LOVE ROBBIE he’s so funny and friendly walking past him at the front on my way to class always brightens my day 🥰
I am very happy about our new manager Sarah Tutor and the changes she’s made to the property! I’ve had a great experience at Gather Southern!!
When I was looking into colleges to attend UOM was one of my top choices. I fell in love with these apartments. Although I ended up choosing a different college to attend, I can say I loved the concept of having a separate key to my room. It made me feel more comfortable and that I had more control over my personal belongings on top of having a spacious living area to share with other roommates. The staff was so nice and was very opening and welcoming. Another big plus was that the apartment complex is basically on campus and close to everything I need.I actually have a close friend who decided to attend UOM and I told her about these apartments and she ended up renting one. She has mentioned that the maintenance/management is outstanding and handles everything professionally and in a timely manner. She is so happy she chose this apartment complex over any other!I would highly recommend looking into renting at Gather Southern Apartments!
Extremely kind and helpful leasing agents! Sarah, the property manager, is great too! Love the pool and that they’re pet friendly.
Love Gather Southern! It has been my home since the building was only a few months old, and I have loved it since move in! The staff of amazing!!
My “move in” experience has been nothing but terrible. I’m coming all the way from FL and I’m already nervous enough to move to a new state and new job. I call every single day and can probably get a response once? Maybe twice in a week. Whenever someone actually picks up, they answer the phone in the most monotone voice. I’ve been hung up several times.I’ve been jumped into different apartments in the span of two weeks and I just want to know what my permanent apartment number is for work and mail purposes. It’s just all been a mess. I’m only staying here because I signed the lease but I’m 100% hoping the lease falls off the face of this earth. Don’t move here. There are better places with good staff in Memphis. I really wish I had a positive thing to say but there just isn’t any word to describe how terrible this experience has been.
The people that work here very welcoming. I’m a freshman and they made my transition from living with my family to living on my own an unforgettable experience.
I been staying at the gathers for 4 months it’s has its pros as well as it cons.Pros: convenient, pet friendly, friendly staff, and great for students attending university of Memphis, very hip area, privacy, and a utilities is included with your rentCons: train on southern ave, parking gate is always broken, animal poop everywhere, bug problem from ants to roaches at time, and alarms go off when cooking a lot which can be annoying.Overall it’s an ok place to stay in starting off.
The gather is a nice place to live, it is very convenient to get to class with it being right next to campus. The staff is also always helpful.
LOOK AT OTHER OPTIONS! I Lived in the Gather all of 6 months before being asked to leave due to an incident between my roommate and I, in which I AM the one who reported the incident to the the front office and the police. First of all, they do not tell you in the beginning that there is NO PARKING spaces available and that you will have to pay an extra monthly fee to keep one. YOU WILL BE GETTING CITY PARKING TICKETS. When I moved in, my apartment was dirty and we had an Ant infestation that us as residents had to get rid of. They charge you $10 monthly for trash services but trash sits outside for weeks. I paid my rent on time or before time and Gather never had a problem out of me as a resident. Management as a whole is unorganized, unprofessional, at times very rude, and it would be a GOOD IDEA TO KEEP TRACK OF YOUR ACCOUNT because they dont communicate to you much after you sign your lease. Speaking of signing the lease, I had to call all summer for them to tell me I was approved and I showed up on move in day with NO room Assignment and no Idea where I was going to be placed! They came up with something once I showed up in the office concerned. YOU WILL HAVE TO CALL AT LEAST 3 TIMES TO SPEAK TO MANAGEMENT THEMSELVES AND NOT THE FRONT DESK GIRL. All of these things I was able to deal with within my stay because it is convenient to campus if you are a U of M student, but all these issues on top of the manner they asked me to leave on is completely UNACCEPTABLE. I never received a mailbox key either until I was asked to go fetch my vacate letter! TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE IT WILL BE APPRECIATED!
Genuinely terrible
I love living here! They matched me with amazing roommates, the staff are always friendly, and it’s walking distance from campus!
My daughter lives at the Gather and in my opinion, I think it is one of the best housing options for a student at UOM. I love that they have an option for secured parking and are right across the street from campus. The staff are friendly and helpful with any questions and quick to resolve any issues!!
I moved in exactly one week ago and so far I love it. Theyve been able to accommodate to fit the need of every request Ive had. No one caught an attitude and they were very prompt about it. I would highly recommend living here.
I live at the Gather and overall it has been the perfect place for me. I highly suggest that for anyone looking for apartments around the University of Memphis that you tour the Gather first. It doesnt disappoint!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have great positive attitudes, you will most definitely feel at home here.
I loved my tour with Brooke a few weeks ago, and I cannot wait to live here!
Gather on southern is cool. I stayed for about a year at phase 2 and I loved it. I love that I get a room and bathroom to myself and cable and internet is included. As long as I paid my rent on time I never had any issues here. This is the best living arrangement I’ve ever been in.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Moving into this place has been the worst experience and most unprofessional handled move in I’ve ever heard of. I signed my lease and prepared to move in with my roommates 5-6 months prior to move in and consistently called them to confirm and make sure everything was going as planned and that my roommates were who I requested. Then the week before move in day (which was a different day then I was told) they sent me an email and I was not in a room with my friends I had requested. After days of calling trying to get in touch with someone who could help we finally got put into a room together. So now on move in day we get to our room and find out our other roommate who we did not know, had been living there by himself for who knows how long, the entire place was filthy and could not be lived in. Not only that but he was 1. Disabled and 2. Had a cat as a “service animal” which was on the counters and left the whole room smelling like cat piss. If this wasn’t enough my friend has a cat allergy so we couldn’t move in even if we wanted to. So obviously we told them we could not live there and it is now the next day, we are still not moved in and have not been given a timetable as to when we can move in. We have also been told that we might not be able to all love together. This is absolutely ridiculous and if it isn’t fixed in the next couple days I will be cancelling my lease.
The gathers is great! It’s the perfect place to live for me and Very convenient. The office staff is very helpful!
I’ve lived here for almost 2 years & I’ve had a positive experience! Very convenient for students!! & Cool staff. 👍🏽
Staff are friendly and helpful!
I spoke with Angela throughout the entire move-in process at the Gather Southern. She is VERY VERY patient. That is very good reflection of Gather as a whole and I look forward to moving in because of her good personality and willing to answer any questions that Ive had. GREAT people. :)
Gather on Southern is dirty, there’s a roach problem here and no one does anything to fix it. Management is terrible, they never answer the phones, let alone respond to a email. Worst lease i’ve ever been in. Good luck to those of you who are leasing here. It’s not what you think.
I’m going on my third year of living here and I love it! The staff is always so friendly and although I have had my share of problems, the maintence man is very helpful, and they fix the problems the best they can. I do pay for parking and the gate has been broken since I started doing so but I still think it’s worth it! Having great roommates also makes a huge difference
After living there for a year, I wanted to wait to move out before I say what I wanted to say about this complex. Bottom line, the management is making this place go downhill. Yes, the train does get annoying at times, but I really dont hear it while I am sleeping. In addition, the front desk (mainly students) do a good job, and the maintenance guys do a good job coming to my apartment when I need something to fix. However, I did pay $40 per month for parking, and the gate was broken for about 25% of my lease. They didnt have security at all until incidents occur, which I thought was to little too late. When you sign a lease, it has to be a 12-month lease, there are no short-term leases with this complex. The apartment complex isnt awful, but its not good either. The little things is the reason why Im glad Im not there again.
Gather Southern is a great place to live. I love the staff they are friendly and very helpful.
Great place to stay!
I lived at the Gather while attending the U of M. Probably one of the worst places to live. While it is close to the campus it is also close to the train. I never got any sleep. The staff there is very unorganized and is never any help. There was also major maintenance issues. A pipe busted in the freezing temps last year and flooded our entire apartment. Management was not helpful and my roommate and I had to stay in a hotel while they figured out if we even had a garunteed room after that happened to us. They never offered us rent reduction or compensation for what happened. It is also a very unsafe area. Multiple shootings and car theft happens regularly. So happy when I finally moved out.
THE MOST INCREDIBLE PLACE TO STAY AND I LOVE IT EACH AND EVERY DAY. I love the STAFF AND THE MANAGEMENT IS OUT STANDING
I lived here for a year and loved it! such a great place to live while going to school at The Univeristy of Memphis, especially as a freshman!! Their staff is helpful and sweet!
I lived at gather on southern phase 2 for 3 years and loved every minute of it! I lived in a 4 bedroom on the first floor and was given perfect access to my car in the gated lot. Management always answered my calls and were quick to answer all of my maintenance requests. I never drove to school, so easy to get out the door and walk. I loved having a pool, workout room, study room, and activities room all in the complex. Management did a great job in planning multiple resident food-freebies and fun events as well as fun social media contests! This apartment complex was my home away from home and I highly recommend gather to any college student/young adult starting out!
Great service. Been in process in moving in and Angela has been helping me through it all. Im very excited about moving in soon!
Late getting my daughters in their apartment after trying to place them in an apartment with a big huge dog and the apartment was nasty. They charged us for a whole month even though they didn’t get to move into late. Now after the lease is almost up the person Robby at the front desk bullied my oldest daughter saying she owed more money and demanded it right then. He was smiling while being a jerk. The place is very nasty, trash everywhere and the management is well read above.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. They promised me an apartment when I signed my lease and every time I called to double check they said I was fine. They put someone else in my apartment and said there wasn’t anything they could do. Terrible management. Bad to the point where they could get in big trouble. DO NOT STAY HERE.
After experiencing this place last night, if I was single I would live here. They have everything you need. Perfect place.
This place is HORRIBLE.... i hate it here now and all i smell is WEED in my room.. and the bathroom, fills up my whole room with the smell of smoke. They never caught or figured out where it’s coming from and i pay $628 to pay in a smoke house basically it’s AWFUL!!! I hate staying here. I wish i can move. DO NOT STAY HERELet me add to this that i was promised a Promotional gift card if i moved in and signed a lease during a special they had and i never got it. DO NOT TRUST OR FALL FOR THEIR SPECIALS!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT. They said I’d have it by September and that NEVER happened. It’s OCTOBER...
Many of the minor issues i used to have here have been addressed, and things are way better! I will be renewing my lease, and I have a great relationship with the staff. Theyre always willing to help and are very friendly!
The gather on southern is alright. Obviously it’s not glamorous to live here but the staff is making efforts to improve many of the mistakes and issues that residents are facing and I appreciate that. The apartment also comes with WiFi and furniture which is more than can be said for other places around here.
The Gather is great! The faculty is very amiable and always willing to help with any questions or issues. So far, my experience at the gather has been a very positive one.
I’ve been here for a couple of months & I love it everything about it! Most people who wrote negative reviews on here, wrote them probably because of the roommates they have. I love my roommates & think met some lifetime friends. They have a study room which includes free Starbucks, a movie room that you can entertain and friends with and a gym! Also they occasionally give out free things & food 😩😂which be coming in handy. I highly recommend this place & if you do the math it’s basically the same price as staying on campus🙄
Movie Night is Awesome . Apartments Are Safe and Very Nice.
They don’t answer their phone. I tried to call them multiple times but no body answered. If you want something, you need to go to the office.
Decent housing for the cost. Safe and secure with gated parking along with security.
Nice place to live, convenient location near the highland strip, great staff
I love the Gather! The staff is so friendly and Robbie was very helpful
Really nice staff, Brooke and Alysia are very helpful!
Chose Gather for my son while he was a college student. Excellent experience.
Staff is awesome and maintenance is is always quick to handle any work order i put in. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an apartment!
The Gather on Southern in Memphis, TN is your average college apartment. Next to a railroad track, noisy and dirty residence and a staff that struggles to maintain standards. The building itself is pretty and in a great location. But all this will not matter when your neighbors continuously trash the apartments and its halls. The people in charge of trash go days to weeks without picking up. This gave me a massive fly infestation in the summer. Most likely someone threw out meat and they fed and bred in the decay. To add to the filth, there was dog poop scattered throughout the property due to irresponsible dog owners. The worst thing about The Gather is their ridiculous leasing plan. You MUST renew your lease 5 MONTHS in advance or youll be threatened to be moved or kicked out. Not like most people know their plans for moving in those 5 months. Now the staff; knocking on my door harping me to renew my lease extremely early was annoying and unprofessional. Please just notify me via email than invading my space. They have also came into my apartment without a 24 hour notice for a maintenance check. I dont mind having the staff checking if everything is alright...but what if i just came out of the shower or still asleep? I would be extremely worried if someone broke in.Lastly, Phase I in The Gather has 3 gun crimes in a matter of 2 weeks. One of them was the apartments fault for lack of security and safety of their residents.I love all the staff but Robby can be very rude and inappropriately smiles at you when you have issues with your apartment.--But it all comes down to the apartment itself. I live with one other suitemate and the year I stayed was exceptional. The inside of the room is clean, but that may be because men in white biohazard suits came in to fumigate the room. Because the previous residents of the apartment was once again, dirty.
The residency is very organized. The place is always clean. They give away free things all the time in the office. And if you follow them on social media, they choose winners for free gift cards for food and more. They have a study room that I use almost everyday that have a free candy bar and Starbucks machine. If you have a problem with anything, mantienace will come and fix. The apartments is very up to date. Some one is cleaning everyday. The theatre room and fitness room is good. My roommates are the best. And the Gathers employees are so nice.
Great staff and I love how theres a private bathroom! You have to see this place for yourself and check out a tour!
The apartments are not thoroughly cleaned before moving new residents in. The property is nasty and management doesnt care.
You cant convince me the staff doesnt compete to see who can be the rudest and most incompetent to residents. Please make this your last option! Leasing office is there just for show.
This is by one of the worse places I have ever been to, the staff is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I drove over 5hrs to move my son in and the apartment was so nasty. We was told him and his teammate would be in the same apartment that didn’t happen. No manager would ever speak with me about this issue I’ve even tried calling their corporate office number that is listed online still no call back. None of the staff knows their corporate number. Long story short this is one nasty place with unprofessional staff including the management!!
AN AMAZING PLACE TO STAY. Outstanding environment, HELLA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I would stay here for the rest of my LIFE
The Gather is a scam!! It looks all nice in the beginning but wait until you move in. The staff is rude! They are over priced for what you get. They (Alexis) will apply unknown charges without telling you. The furniture is cheap and they refuse to replace it. I have a constant bug problem. There arent any places to park, they always say the parking lot has a waiting list and then threaten to tow your car when you park in the parking lot, but where else are you supposed to park? Also they say you live with 4ppl, but once I had moved in I found out all my roommates had significant others, which made it 6 other people living in a small ass apartment. Its not worth it, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention you cant break your lease! I was physical threatened and my mother, father and myself had to fight and argue with them for weeks, asking to move to a different apartment! They could care less how you feel, all they want is money! REPEAT DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THE STRESS!!!!!!!
Worse place ever!!!! Do not sign!!!!! Terrible, terrible management. All I want to do is break my lease, with good reason, and they refuse. No parking, no courtesy, bad employees. Avoid at all costs.
Staff is really nice, but thats about it. When I first moved in I told them what day I would be moving in and they agreed. Then on my move in day they told me the unit was not ready. So after packing up all my belongings from Collierville and bringing it here I was forced to go back home and unpack everything and wait until my actual move in day only because they could not follow through on what they agreed on. You have to pay 40$ a month extra to park and not get tickets. After my first ticket, I was just going to buy the parking pass, but they put on you a waiting list to buy parking passes to a lot that I have never seen full in the four months I have lived here. Maintenance and management come in randomly with no warning. There is no sense of security. It feels like a dormitory. The maintenance is also terrible. The first month I lived here the tap water from the sink in the kitchen was brown and undrinkable and it took maintenance several months to come fix it. Most of the ground at the gather has glass or some kind of trash on it and the floors are stained by the garbage that maintenance allows to sit for ages. Also this place is not safe! My roommates room was broken into and Gather did nothing about it. My other roommate had his backpack stolen and Gather still did nothing. The first two months I lived here there was four different reports of shots fired at the gather. Bite the bullet and pay extra at the 9. This place isnt even on the correct side of the tracks, the train will ruin your day more than once. I cannot wait to move out of here. Only sign a lease here if it for some reason is your only option. It is absolutely not worth the price point. You will be 10000000% happier at the 9 or 1000000% happier and richer in a house with some friends.
First off cuh the Gather was turnt when Alexis & Ms. Khim was in-charge, then they left and I kid you not this place fell off immediatelyAND ALL OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FROM EMPLOYEES DONT BE FOOLED.Management terrible dog poop all over the place, gotta pay to park at the place you already pay to live tf? they raised rent and garbage fees only for the maintenance guy to come two weeks later, and the garbage to be sitting out in the walk ways for 8 weeks. And I’m not even exaggerating. Legit terrible place to live for that price. Better off somewhere else. Everything is always dirty or broke and they don’t bother to clean or fix it.
Tchina was very helpful. She was understanding, and has great custmer service.
Gather Southern is probably the worst place I have ever been. They non stop try and pull out more money from you every month. All the appliances, furniture, and building materials are cheap, falling apart, or broken. After 7 months they still have internet issues that they refuse to fix. Id rather watch a 24 hour long video of puppies being euthanized than renew my lease another year.
Great community and love able staff
If I could give this place a zero I would. You’d think with this being a college apartment building they’d have decent WiFi but no. They have two different WiFi’s and both of them are terrible. The management here is awful if you have a problem with anything you will have to go to the leasing office at least 4 different times to get it taken care of and they still probably won’t fix it. If you’re looking into moving in here don’t you’ll be getting robbed of $630 month. Anywhere on campus is better than this place. If you have no choice but to live here at least try to live in phase one. No one that works here cares at all about what is going on at phase two.
Hands down the best staff and community!
Easily the worst apartments near campus, as people can easily break into your apartment through your window and take whatever they would like. I have had things stolen from my room on five different occasions, not to mention some of my neighbors this year got home invaded inside the gather. Not to mention there ARE cameras that they refuse to let you look at when your things go missing but to make things better the police can look at it and then do nothing about it. Security is slim to none, place is far from luxurious as they advertise it to be. The wifi makes it almost impossible to enjoy gaming or anything like it and if you want to connect an ethernet cable you cannot use it because the Gather has it set up to where everyone has to deal with terrible wifi. Also, screwed up my rooming situation and one of my random roommates was constantly harassing me in inappropriate ways. This is about the tenth time I have considered cancelling my lease and the only thing I regret is not doing it earlier. I feel bad saying all of this because some of the students that work in the office have been so nice to me but it really means nothing because the management is worthless. Living here has been one of the worst experiences of my life and would not wish it upon my greatest enemy.
So I moved in to phase 2 in August & can I say biggest waste of money in my life!! The first week I moved in my dishwasher & laundry machine were broken & the microwave RUSTED! Yes brand new building with a rusted microwave ( still hasnt been replaced). you pay 20 extra dollars a month for parking but the gate is broken 80 percent of the time anyway so its really opened for the whole community & youre just giving them some extra out of your pocket. I dont feel safe here AT ALL! Only pro about this place is its right across from the university thats all🙅🏾 save your money!
Don’t waste your money patience nor happiness, firstly management is terrible, secondly they give you a “compatibility” test but in actuality they just stick you with people your age and your ethnicity. Theirs not much you can do if your roommates are nasty so if you’re someone who can’t live in filth or clutter that might be something you should think about. Also this place is infested with ants so if your roommates are dirty you’ll be living with rodents. Also the walls are paper thin so you hear everything everyone is doing and they’re AWFUL when it comes to noise complaint. Not to mention this place is right next to a freaking TRAIN!!! Who’s bright idea that was no clue. And their towing company is a joke PB&J towing they receptionist is rude and their drivers are idiots. So if you’re someone who my have a boyfriend or friends/family come over you need to pick them up or tell them to uber because parking outside of the gate is a joke. And parking inside of the gate is a bigger joke because sometimes the gates break and anyone can come in and take your spot that YOU PAY FOR!! Also if you’re not too big on weed this place is a BIG no for you. We all share the same air units as well as the vent so if someone is smoking in their room the smell will then enter your room or bathroom, and when I said something to the manager Alexis about it her response was “you can close the vents” “what solution would you suggest” lol first of all that’s what I pay you for! To come up with a solution and they didn’t. This place is a joke, theirs been robberies and murders around here. Please do not waste your time management doesn’t care about you. Neighbors don’t care either they’ll blast their music until 4am if they want. Find somewhere else to live
Dont live here robbery’s (don’t have the link to the robbery but look it up), terrible security, terrible management. Just a terrible experience all around......SiDENOTE Some of these positive comments are employees which make momey off getting people to sign leases😂😂
