Weve used them for replacement install as well.There may be other good companies out there, but well never know. This is the BEST company in Memphis!!!. unbelievable service and nicest folks ever. my master bedroom air-con went out at 8 am on a saturday, i called them at 9 am, and they called me back within 5 minutes, and the air-con was repaired by 11 am - same day. At first Justin seemed nice and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done in my attic for insulation and HVAC. However, after consulting several other professionals in the field I soon realized his price quote was inflated by several thousand dollars. After talking to him on the phone to understand the method he recommended for my attic work, he began to yell at me and say that hes done this his whole life and that hes a mechanical engineer and knows what hes talking about. He then abruptly ended the call and did not call me back as he promised. I would not recommend this company due to lack of professionalism and high prices. However Al Britt Air Conditioning is the company to use. They were professional, courteous, trustworthy, and clean. Their prices were good and their work is excellent.

During the depths of our cold weather, our heating system malfunctioned. Amanda, who is always helpful and responsive, was able to dispatch a technician to us within hours when we thought it would be days! Doug slogged through the snow after getting stuck and arrived on time. He diagnosed our system malfunction and was able to arrange a work-around so that we could have heat until a part could be procured and installed several days later. He was very thorough and explained matters in details that we could understand. Many thanks to Doug and Amanda! This is a good company and I recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC work done.

From the prompt response from the owner to the tech shop professional job, I was impressed with Precision AC & H. Highly recommend to anyone needed AC or Heating work.

We purchased a new Daikin Fit unit to replace our 5 ton unit. We chose to do a split unit and replace the old pack unit. Was the best decision we made. Our utility bill has been cut in half. Dec 31, 2019. We had a gas line leak, and had to have repairs made. I contacted Precision Air at 10:00 am on New Year’s Eve concerned over how long it might take for the repairs to be made in order to get our gas line restored. I got a call from Kathy, one of the owners, within 30 minutes assuring me this would be handled immediately. At 11:00am Larry, the other owner, was at my house to review what needed to be done as it involved repairs on more than one furnace. By 1:30pm all of the work had been done ! I was very impressed at how quick and efficient the repairs were made. When the city code enforcement officer came to inspect the repairs so the gas could be restored he also commented on how impressed he was with how quickly and efficiently Precision air had made the repairs. Precision Air spent HOURS & HOURS in our VERY HOT attic cleaning, repairing, redirecting air flow to gain efficiency of our cooling system. The workers had to crawl into our attic through the only small door allowing entrance while working in such cramped spaces that my wife & I asked if they did not wish to come another day! Justin, one of their bid estimators, is very knowledgeable and I commend him for his enthusiasm. I did not receive any service from precision heating and air, but i did receive a bid for which I did not accept. Here is the twist. I should have. I didn’t accept because it was a little higher than another company that I believed to be of quality service. Not going to explicitly name the company, but they are said to be widely respected in Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama. The company turned a three day job into a month long job and it’s still not completed. I’m amazed at their poor performance. The reason I reached out to send a review to precision is because all of my ideas were refined or generated by Justin during his time bidding my job. Hindsight is 20/20, and I am sharing this to promote a company with workers of integrity and individual consideration that won’t leave a customer without electricity for three nights. Justin I hope your boss reads this and shows it to you because you know your stuff. Precision, if I could take it back, I wouldn’t think twice about who I would choose to install my system.

Condenser unit was down, called Precision, they said the unit was still under warranty, just had to pay for the labor.

These guys are totally AWESOME. Communication was the best Ive experienced from start to finish. They sent a world-class technician out that quickly diagnosed my problem and repaired it without breaking the bank. I am extremely happy with their level of service. Wish there were more like them.Got to give them another 5 stars. Called them with another problem a week ago. One of my air handlers was not putting out any heat. They were not able to procure a replacement heat strip in a timely manner, so they rebuilt the bad one with new parts. Many thanks to Kathe and her team. These guys are truly world-class. It had been a few days since I’d turned off the AC on this October day and when my bride of 33 years suggested it was time to turn on the heat I discovered that the furnace didn’t fire up.I put in a call to Precision Air and figured it would be at least 48 hours before anyone could show up.Low and behold I was told they might be able to squeeze me in that day since I mentioned I worked out of the house and would be here most of the day.Sure enough, I received a call that a technician was on his way. And as usual, he put on the “foot covers” ( Precision Air is very good about this) so not to track dirt into the house.I explained the sequence of events in an effort to help the technician help isolate the problem.Armed with that and what I’m sure was his own vast knowledge and experience, he located the issue and had it resolved quickly.He cleaned up some other items inside the furnace (preventative maintenance) installed some new air filters as mine were nasty and he was wrapped up.Professional, prompt and courteous service. That’s why I’d recommend Precision Air and have done just that.JL

I would not recommend using Precision. I had a new AC/Furnace put in years ago. It was not installed properly and kept having leaks. The owners tried to inform me it was my fault for not cleaning a brand new unit. Needless to say, it was the product so they did eventually fix the issue. The downside is years later I still have a rust stain on my roof (which was new at the time).The installation also failed inspection, and I had to continue to follow up to ensure we were able to pass.

Awesome Service & Quick Solution! I had an issue with my Goodman Furnace and called Precision. This happened on a Saturday and they were out there within two hours with a solution. I would highly recommend these folks for your HVAC needs.

I give one star because I cant give zero.My AC was barely working and I called Precision.They said they coils were dirty and quoted a very high price of 1200.00 to clean them.I did it myself and this did not solve the problem so I called them back.This time they said it needed Freon and added 3 pounds which did not fix the problem.The same technician came back and without even inspecting the unit declared that I needed a new AC and new duct with a price of 11,400.00.I called another company who came and fixed the unit for 110.00.Buyer Beware!

They told me they couldnt fix my air-conditioning. Offered to install a brand new system ($10000?) I told them Id have to get a 2nd opinion. Am I glad I did! Different company which I wont name because that would be unethical to write here, put in a new thermostat. Total cost $190.00 Air works great.UPDATE They called me later to explain that Id gotten the wrong impression. The lady on the phone was one of the owners and I think she genuinely wanted to make sure that I didnt walk away unsatisfied. So, I appreciate that they really do care about customer service, and I was not being sold on an unnecessary new unit. We both agreed that prices and actual options were never discussed with the service technician and so in fairness Im updating my feedback here and giving them a couple more stars.

They replaced an old system with excellence...great workers. New system brought an older house back to livable temperatures. Explained carefully how to keep it functioning well. We will definitely recommend their service and courtesy!

Very profession approach to the sale of the service. Quoted two possibilities and I was very happy with my selection. The two installers Dustin and Jason worked hard all day to install insulation under a converting porch to sun room. (Very tight crawl space.) I think they did an excellent job. I even crawled under the porch to inspect. Both men were friendly and helpful to explain what and how they did the installation. Seems like a OK company all and all. However, the goal is to sell you something regardless if you need it. The owner seems legitimate, but their tech are clearly unskilled in trouble shooting. I originally hired them to trouble shoot possible air leaks in the returns. I also had them service the units. They found nothing wrong. I hired them because they claim to do blower door test, so I assume that had the tools to do pressure differential test to identify what runs and the volume of leaks. I was wrong. Although these tool are not required to identify some of these large leaks.Now that is has cooled I’ve been doing some searching and easily found a 18x18 loose fitting that had well over 1.5 inch gaps in multiple area. In addition to other returns with easily identifiable gaps.Both plenum boxes were leaking like a massively to the point you could see insulation moving on the supply side.Of course they wanted to put my home on a maintenance plan and sell accessories rather than deal with the issues or actually take the time to find the issues.To end, this company may be good at selling installing new units. Trouble shooting and servicing existing units is not in their skill sets.

I had a major problems with my duct-work that ran through the slab foundation of my house & had no idea how to correct it. Thanks a lot to all of the builders who like to run 1st floor ducts through the slab foundation (heavy sarcasm).Larry (owner) and Justin (sales engineer) were extremely knowledgeable and creative in figuring out a solution to run ducts to the first floor from our 3rd story finished out attic. This wasnt replacing existing ducts; it was running ducts where there previously were none, using extremely limited space since there was not a real attic!! All in all, this was a 2 week project. So much work! I felt bad for the guys squeezing into such small areas. Somehow they manged to do all of this without any significant impact to the cosmetics of the rooms. Our 1st floor air flow is MUCH better...not to mention cleaner since air is no longer coming from broken-down, in-slab duct work. Their technicians laid down red carpet (yes, pretty awesome) everywhere they needed to walk in order to keep carpets clean while they worked. The always picked up after themselves when they were done for the day and even vacuumed. The small attic space we have looks fantastic now since they rearranged the 2 furnaces so you can easily get to everything. I used to have to crawl through some pipes just to change an air filter! Im glad I trusted them when they said they do this kind of work all the time. They proved that it wasnt their first rodeo. It was the first time my wife and I actually relaxed during a big job. This team is very detail oriented, so I didnt feel like I needed to be the follow-up guy. Larry was on-site frequently to oversee the project...which is a huge plus in my book. Oh, and their carpenter person does amazing work!!There are several good companies to choose from for basic HVAC needs (Ive used several), but Precision is an easy choice when it comes to very involved projects. They really know what theyre doing. They went above and beyond my expectations and even fixed/repaired things unrelated to the main job so that the entire system ran efficiently. You get what you pay for in life. They charged a fair price for a major renovation and did an excellent job. I highly recommend the team at Precision and am happy to promote them! Thanks guys.

Precision has been exceptional in supporting a product I bought three years ago. Anytime Ive had a problem, theyve been there within 48 hours and done everything you could ask to resolve the issue. Their employees are such that you would feel perfectly comfortable leaving your door key under the mat, and going off to work or errands knowing your house is safe and theyre doing their job. They cost a little more, but they give you way more in quality and service. I heartily recommend Precision Heating and Air Conditioning for your needs. Theyre top pros. They know what theyre doing and stand 100% behind their work.

I was so impressed by Precision! They came within hours of my call and had an entire new AC system installed by the next day. They filled my failing AC with freon for free to see me through the night until the system could be replaced. The employees were courteous and friendly. Their pricing was better than I was quoted by another company as well. I will be referring them to my friends and will use them again if we have any AC or heating needs.

Larry and his crew installed new mini splits into our flat roof house and they are the best! We had lots of trades in and out of our house as we remodeled and these guys were the only ones who knew anything about how to treat a customer. Larry also helped us with many suggestions and problems that went outside of his scope of work. As long as Im in Memphis, this is the ONLY HVAC company I will use from now on.

I didnt write a review before this because I dont know enough about HVAC to tell if what we were charged last year ( $4200 to replace a coil) was an appropriate amount. The guys did work in a hot attic for about 5 hours but now Im seeing estimates online for $200-$1200.Just recently, our emergency light came on. I turned it to norm but it stayed on. So, I called Precision. The rep came out and told me we need a new thermostat which would cost $200-$400. I knew I could get one around $30 at Home Depot, so opted out.Then someone came over and flipped the switch to norm again and the light went off and stayed off. 3 days later, I noticed the AC wasnt working.Rather than call Precision again, I made an appt with Choates. While waiting, I called a handyman who told me to go outside and check the breaker next to the compressor unit. Sure enough, it was off. I turned it on, the AC came on, and everything is working fine.Precision would have sold me a $400 thermostat we dont need then would have gone outside and flipped the switch to on after they installed it.

My wife and I were experiencing some uneven heating in our two story house on the Island and could tell it was time for a serious overhaul. We went with Precision based on the reviews. Over the years weve called some other companies to fix some random things. However, these guys exceeded our expectations by far.After calling, we were given a work order for the next day. From the get go, Justin (one of their mechanical engineers) was able to give us an accurate assessment of our problem. However, he also discovered a hairline crack in our heating chamber, which was a curveball we didnt expect. Despite this, he was able to come up with straightforward solutions and provided several different options to meet our budget. They explained the problem to the third party company who came out to check out the cracked heating chamber. They even made calls to the manufacturer to ensure that the third party folks got the parts without delay. Weve heard stories of home warranty contractors taking several weeks to complete their jobs, so this was much appreciated.Their guys were efficient and done within 2 days. They provided us space heaters to keep warm (as our unit was condemned), and picked them up themselves. Amanda, at the office, was always a phone call away. They were very professional, and all in all, we could not have asked for a better experience while dealing with a stressful heating situation. We will be calling these guys with our next home.
