Opachs A/C & Heating Service is the most professional company Ive ever worked with. I had a new A/C unit bundle installed. Their HVAC techs were absolutely wonderful. I was able to schedule the install quickly, the day after my unit was inspected. My unit was very old, installed when I was in the 9th grade (and Im 43 now) lol.. and it had a severe leak. All the freon was gone so I new I needed a new one. The techs were all professional. They quickly installed the outdoor and indoor components and wifi enabled thermostat which was a great upgrade from the 30 yr old thermostat we had before. Throughout the entire install they continued to ask if we had questions. The new unit is working wonderfully. The professionalism of the guys and the high quality of their work cant be overstated. I will certainly use them again for all of my A/C and Heating needs.

These guys are truly the best! Very professional with excellent communication AND lower prices than the competitors. They put in a new AC and then came back the next day to adjust some airflow issues, explaining everything carefully and answering all of our questions. Now it is working great! This was by far the absolute smoothest process to purchase a brand new air conditioner. They were the most reasonable out of 4 quotes that I had gotten. Offered a 1st user discount which really helped. The quote was sent via email with a denial and approve button. Shortly after clicking approve on a Friday evening, I received a call with an 0800 appt for the following Monday morning. They arrived promptly around 0800. The payment process was just as simple. I would definitely use them and I have recommended them to several friends already. I called the office twice and the receptionist was the very professional, helpful and polite. Definitely giving their all to great customer service. Thank you!

I was scheduled for an AC Maintenance but the technician immediately jumped to a new unit was needed before even doing the maintenance at a cost over $7,000! While i appreciate the younger technicians, new is not always the best solution. You could possibly keep more long term clients if you sent more seasoned techs to customers with older units. They tend to have other options. My unit only needed 3lbs freon and not the 10 quoted by the tech. However; he was very nice and professional.

On May 26, 2021, I contacted Opachs A/C & Heating Services to diagnose a cooling problem with my smaller 3 ton A/C unit. On May 27th. the owner arrived as scheduled, he was professional and courteous during the inspection process. He indicated a leak was in the system and it would be difficult to locate, further suggesting since the unit was over 15 years old, it would be better to replace it with a newer more efficient unit. I agreed, and we scheduled an tentative installation date once the new unit was shipped to my home. I purchased a 3 ton unit, new coil, surge protector and an Aqua Guard all in one inline float system. After several days the unit arrived at my home and 2 service technicians from Opach arrived later to complete the installation process. While removing the old coil from my attic, one technician lost his balance coming down stairs to the first floor which resulted in the old coil scratching the paint and drywall of a custom painted wall. He promised that the company would take care of all the repairs. While installing the new coil, this same technician indicated he needed to cut notches into two 2x8 roof joists for the coil to fit properly. The notches that were cut went two thirds into the joists, I questioned him about the structural integrity of a cut that deep, he indicated 2x4s would be installed to reinforce the joist strength. Later that day, the owner arrived to inspect the installation process, he observed the wall damage and indicated it could be repaired by painters he was familiar with. He also observed the roof joists with 2x4s attached, he instructed the technician to replace those with 1x6 boards. He commented that notches in the joists were not necessary if the coil had been positioned differently. In addition, he noticed air leakages around the newly installed coil and instructed the technicians to correct that issue with silicon sealant. After a significant amount of time passed and the repair to my wall was not completed, I contacted the owner for an explanation. He indicated not be able to locate a painter that could duplicate the custom painting process required. He later sent 2 painters the looks at the damage, they also indicated a lack of skills to make the repairs. It has been over 3 months and the owner has failed to make any additional efforts to repair the wall. In addition, I discovered my attic was left with excessive sawdust and wood scraps with no attempt at cleaning. Also, the outside unit was installed facing to the side, now I have the older unit properly facing with its logo on the front, while the newer unit faces the side. Based upon my experience with this company, and their staff of service technicians, I do not recommend their services.

I paid 8k to have our unit replaced, duct work done and furnace done - I have reached out numerous times since and got the run around once someone went out. After all that money you would think the home would be cool but it’s still hotter inside than outside ! I hate leaving bad reviews as I am a business owner myself but I’ve had enough. When they came out they said our duct work is bad but yet when the work order was done they were told to make anything bad, good. So I’m hoping after this review maybe they will make it right. My next step is BBB.

I would like to extend an heart felt thank you to the team at Opachs A/c. On June 29th, I met with the owner Oscar who came to my home to access the issues that I had with one of my air units. He explained what needed to be done, his suggestions and the cost of replacement. My furnace was old as well as my condenser, so we went with replacing these items. The replacement cost was very reasonable. A few days later, a team of 3 showed up and went to work! It was an extremely hot day and these men worked diligently to install the equipment. Everything has been great! My home is so much cooler and Im extremely pleased with their work and professionalism. I would like to extend an additional thank you to Jermaine. He was the last man standing and after working in extreme heat for over 6 hours, he was gracious enough to vacuum the debris that was left on the floor from the installation. Opach was called to my home to do a light cleaning of the condenser coil. These pictures show that the condensing unit was never cleaned at all. Therefore, the entire condensing coil failed and I had to pay another company to get the entire condensing unit replaced. Will never trust or suggest OPACH to any fellow Memphians.

Tech Lydell called to confirm if he could come earlier. Arrived in timely manner. When he arrived he was professional, thorough, checked house for carbon monoxide which was comforting. Checked the system fully, addressed our concerns and answered our questions. I’m glad I called them and plan to call them again if needed.

Great customer service! We were without air for over a week waiting on our home warranty company who was giving us the run around. Out of frustration I called OPACHS, they come out the same day diagnosed and showed me another problem the first company missed, and gave me quote to replace whole system. The quote was fair from the beginning however just moving into a new home we didnt have the funds to purchase a new system. I was going to just wait on the home warranty company to solve the issue. I got a phone call from Mr Pruitt the next day explaining to me what was all included in the quote, the 10 year warranty and the great price I was getting. I explain to him that I understand and that I just did not have the funds. Mr Pruitt invited me to go to his website to fill out a credit app for financing which I was approved. This was all on the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. The financing wasnt approved til Friday morning. I contacted Mr Pruitt Friday and was told the earliest that they could get to me would be Tuesday, the day after Labor Day, I guess feeling my disappointment of going 2 weeks without air, later on that evening I got a call saying they can do the install that day. They arrived at my home at the end of the work day I felt bad because I knew that I was not on the schedule for that day and it was only one tech. About half an hour later 2 more techs arrive and I felt better for the original tech. Not too long after that 2 more techs showed up and as a team they were able to replace my whole ac system before night fall. I really appreciate the professionalism, the promptness, and courtesy of OPACHS. I would highly recommend them and use them for all my future heating and air needs.

The best service we’ve received in our 16yrs here in Memphis, TN. First of all, our heat we out Friday morning and we were able to get an appointment the next day. Considering the fact that we called five other heating services and they were either closed or couldn’t get to us until next week, due to the weather. We were scheduled for 1pm today, but the technician called to see if we were ok with him coming early (that was a definite YES!!!, we had no heat and it was below freezing ....lol). Saying that the service was top notch, would be an understatement. If you want professional service performed by honest people, please give them a call...YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! Mr. Robert Howard, was our technician today. He arrived on time. He was very polite, clean and very knowledgeable of what we wanted. He put shoe protectors on and did not objective to wearing gloves we provided. Once he finished with the estimate, he went over every detail that would take place if Opachs would do the work. He did not pressure us and that was a plus for us. It’s people like Mr. Howard that make Opachs the company it is today. Also, the young Ms. Pruitt was very nice when she called back which was within 15 minutes. I spoke with Mrs. Pruitt to confirm time today. She was very polite. Once again, OPACHS was available the same day and met me at my house for a minor AC repair. Less than an hour and reasonably priced. Ive used them for several years on full install jobs and repairs at 2 locations because of their commitment to service and professionalism.

Great customer service and the technician was so professional. I was able to get my unit fixed during a snowstorm so it was so appreciated.

They have precise equipment & gauges to measure Freon they put in a unit. They input 3.5 lbs (2.64lbs, increased to 6.1lbs) but charged me for 4 lbs. They may buy it by the pound but they did not give me what they charged me for. That 1/2 lb they charged me for, add it to the next customer who they overcharge by 1/2 lb and they STOLE 1lb of Freon their customers. Lastly, their service call fee only covers checking 1 A/C unit, unlike other companies who check all your units for the cost of the service fee. This is deceptively not discussed when setting the appointment even when service fee is discussed when making the appointment. So I wasted my time being there for them to check my units. I could have gotten all my units checked with some other company that I used in the past. I also gave them 1 ⭐ rating but when I view what Google presented, it shows 4.9. Not what I rate them.

I used this company 10 years ago and the owner came out and I had a good experience. I decided to use them again but a different technician came out this time. Honestly, I was a little worried because he didn’t seem to really know for sure what was going on and he left telling me that I would need to purchase a whole new unit which was gonna cost $4100. I decided to get a second opinion and the company just left and it was the condensate drain that was stopped up causing my issue.For $180 my unit is working like new. Thankfully, I got the second opinion and saved a lot of money.Addendum: Just got off the phone with the owner, Oscar Pruitt. After a very nice and cordial conversation, I wanted to update my review from 1 to 3 stars. He understood and admitted that they were wrong in diagnosing the problem. He is going to refund our money for the service fee.

We had our unit installed yesterday, and we thoroughly enjoyed the process from the first call to get someone out to price a unit to the actual install. They were very responsive and have some great ease of use systems in place to make working with customers a lot easier through text, email, and invoicing. The technician who came took the time to talk to us about the unit we needed and explained everything on the front end. The crew that came to complete the installation was very professional and thorough. They even took the time to talk to us about our new unit once it was in. The company sent me an email and a photo of the Technician letting me know when he would be arriving and they were prompt. They did not try to pressure me into buying anything I did not need he only gave me suggestions for maintenance of my unit.
