I am using this post office over 6 yrs now, for domestic and international mail, never had I any problems - I have a po box there as well. Not sure about these negative reviews especially as someone wrote so badly about new black girl, that lady is a nicest lady ever, she even learned my name. When I come in I do not even have to say the # of my po box they already know. All of them are nice, and being nice to others goes a long way. If we try to understand that an individual who works there is a person too, and if we treat them the way we want to be treated we will all have a nicer experience.

Zero stars. I mailed two large envelopes, certified mail, return receipt from my local PO in the Bronx to an accounting firm in Melville.Unfortunately one of them had the correct street but incorrect building number on it but the other was correct.They went to the Melville PO the next day and then to CONNECTICUT!! One got delivered in 2 weeks the other was never returned to me. Lost!

Ive been using this post office for over a year since moving here, and its been great. At certain times during the day there may be waiting lines, but waiting never exceeds 5-10 minutes, while most of the time there is simply no line. Employees are courteous. I opened a PO box and use it daily, and I have dropped off dozens of packages here with no problems.

It’s a joke...also i can’t review it as ZERO STARS! The only FIVE star reviews that this place gets is probably from the New Hires. I’ve lived at my residence for 15 yrs now on every occasion they are late with our packages. I absolutely dread seeing this post office on my tracking info. It’s like the kiss of death ☠️

Failure to update tracking info for weeks at a time.

I mailed a card to my mom a week and a half ago with money in it. She never received it. On Saturday, 18 AUG 2018, I bought a money order and mailed it priority to my mom. The USPS tracking number in the system says it was delivered. My mom waited at home most of the day and never received it.I told the Melville female clerk about the first incident when I purchased the money order for the second incident. She simply blamed me for sending money. Unprofessional.

This post office is the worst.. RUDE, unprofessional, slow, the list goes on. I HATE when my packages get transferred there

If you see this post office on your tracking - beware! This post office has lost multiple packages on different instances. I have no idea why my packages would be sent through this office as Im 20 minutes away but the several times it has been processed through here - the packages were never delivered. USPS is no help either. Dont bother calling either! The phone number doesnt work and USPS has no way of transferring you. Luckily the company I ordered through was willing to resend my package as I need them asap.

Lets be fair, this PO is not as bad as people here make it look. Ive been coming here for 10 years now on weekly basis and never had a major problem. Yeah, sometimes you have a line if you come in rush hour, what do you expect. Never lost my package. And no, I do not work for PO lol. Oh, and about calling them, I dont know, never tried. Why would you call a local PO? Pick up your a$$ from the couch and just drive over. Nuff said.

The line here is 100 X better than the Huntington Station PO, They still have to ask you all the questions but thats Standard practice for the PO.

I had ordered something and it went throu ups and it was destroyed and I reordered it and shipped it through usps it was on time and in one peice and I also work for ups and they treat me as well as slaves I have reletives who work for the usps and they are treated better

If theres any problem its that theres not much room for the amount of people this post office has to accommodate. Other than that its great

Worst post office ever!! I call they dont answer...when they pick up they hang up on you...i did a change of address and they never put it in the system...never going here againg..please dont waste your time!!!

I rated 5stars but downgraded to 1star eversince new hire black girl came in. SHE HAS NO CLUE WHAT SHE IS DOING.!! Dumb as a rock. On multiple occassions !! Mistake after mistake. Poor knowlwdge of the system. I got enough of her. Someone fire her!!

I called to find out about my bag I left there, well, I had to ask her if this is the post office, then she was having a hearing problem, then I had to repeat 3 time, She put me on hold and it 16 minutes, and never came back so I hung up. When it comes to SUCK, this post office over qualified for the worst of the worst.

I have had problems here, but the people behind the counter are very nice and try to help

Never anyone working and lines to the door. Waited in line for ten minutes to get a label that should be out front. Supplies never available. Worst PO on Lon Island
