For the price you will pay to workout here, the regulars are courteous to each other. Weights are put back where they belong by vast majority of people I encounter, equipment gets wiped down, some still wear masks (kudos to yall) and social distancing is still popular with treadmills.There are no free weight benches/squat/deadlift racks and the Smith Machines/stations arent terrible.Theres a balance of equipment space between the broader exercising cable machines and isolation ones on the opposite side.Staff is professional and knowledgeable.The only downsides experienced so far were bathroom conditions (quickly rectified) and the shower stalls that feel too small for my personal comfort.Regardless, that doesnt detract from my rating since its open late enough that I can enjoy exercising without waiting on almost anything.Plus the Black Card guest pass allows me to have a gym buddy every visit.

The women’s restrooms need to be cleaned more frequently, the waste baskets in the stalls have not been cleaned out for a while and one of the soap dispensers were empty and the sinks were not cleaned as well. But there is a great staff member named Daniel who is at the front desk who was very polite and very respectful. When I brought this to his attention he was very reassuring and said it would be taken care of. Great staff here at this gym

Trash was overflowing 2 days in a row, bathrooms are not clean and up to covid standards,. I told front desk trash was full and just got an uninterested ok but didnt do anything about it. Very unprofessional!

Neat low-tier fitness center. This Melville Planet Fitness is conveniently located for people around the South Part of town. This has been my home gym for 4 years and I liked the convenience of going there while going through college during that time. Machines were recently freshly changed but not much of a big update if you ask me, I’m actually very unimpressed by how they tried to renovate everything. The staff are mixed in terms of customer service attitude but no major bad experience. Haven’t been to a lot of other gyms but my FOUR years at this branch is not too bad and I think it is average compared to others that I have been too.

As of 430 pm today the club is not busy, however the 2 female employees at the front desk are gossiping, not greeting members as they enter or leave the club. The worst part is that the 2 paper towel dispensers directly in front of the leg extension machine are empty with NO PAPER towels. Also in the men’s room one of the soap dispensers is empty and the other is almost empty. Considering they are not busy and COVID is going on no soap dispensers should be out of soap and no paper towel dispensers should be empty. These ladies working need to go around checking paper towel dispensers, cleaning solution and soap dispensers to ensure they are not empty. And one of the girls was sitting on top of the counter while talking to the other one. Very unprofessional. If you have questions wondering if it’s true, look at your video footage. It’s all there. This is not my home club, but no club should be like this.

The locker rooms are horrific when it comes to cleanliness! The lockers are dusty and dirty. The showers look like public swamps where theres hair and debris all over.What a way to treat your PF members 😐.

Pretty clean environment, staff friendly and helpful if you ask. When I went, a few machines said ERROR and half arent usable for distancing purposes so I was prevented from using certain machines, but not terrible. Not all gymgoers wear masks inside and you need to bring it to employee attention if youre kind of next to someone who isnt, I would feel more comfortable if they had someone walking around enforcing it but thats my personal opinion and had nothing to do with my rating, just a heads up for anyone reading.

Age limit, did start going yet, the whole purpose of me applying was for my sin that cant even go. So I have to find a gym that will except him. Everyone that work there was young.

Okay gym, could use some Bench and squat racks though. Oh and a new color scheme

Not a bad gym. Just wish they had more and heavier free weights and benches whose bars weren’t latched on by a pulley system. Other than that I’m pretty happy with the options of machines they have there.

Ive been at Planet Fitnesses in 5 states since July and this one is my fave. Very spacious, not too crowded, attentive staff who are always walking around doing things.Plus they still have Life Fitness cardio machines. The newer clubs have the Precor which I do not like.Also love the high ceiling in the place. Makes it feel even more spacious.

Feel completely safe here working out. All are masked and socially distant.

Went tonight for the first time since covid. Out of 20 patrons there while I was there, 1 had his mask below his nose and 1 had his mask below his chin!!! The one with the mask below his chin was told twice by 2 workers to wear his mask. Patron didn’t listen. I don’t understand why they did not throw him out! I won’t be going back as I don’t feel safe. I’ll also be quitting my membership

One of the guys from the front desk was very unprofessional rude, to not say more he literally cursed me out and the manager looked careless I believe his name is Ron If Im not mistaken, planet fitness should be more careful picking their staff

I joined about a week after gyms were allowed to open and was optimistic; it was better than my previous gym and people seemed to be taking masks and distancing seriously. Today I canceled my membership on the spot because people have gotten too lax. I’d emailed the manager last week about it and was hoping it would improve because I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt at first. But the staff does not enforce the mask rule, in the 35 mins I was there, there were several people blatantly not wearing a mask and had it fully pulled down, on the machines right in front of the desk. Moving away from that area, several people on the cardio equipment also had their masks pulled down, if not fully, then had their noses out. I was really disappointed because I was optimistic about reopening and do love this location and everything else about PF☹️

Clean facility. Staff is helpful. This gym is extremely small. No privacy at the massage beds. Love the total body and tanning booths. Wish they had some dead lift equipment but overall a good gym for anyone looking to get fit and healthy. Hours are convenient, although wish they were open 24 hours over the weekend. Also they played music on loud speakers which my gym in Hauppauge does not.

Very clean and well maintained. I found this to be the cleanest/most organized PF Ive been to. Staff is very low key but I prefer that. Always see them walking around and cleaning. Lots of equipment available and mostly friendly gym-goers. 5/5

Overall excellent Gym.But People should figure out Gym Etiquette:Do not Stand in Front of Dumbbell Rack when performing Exercises(Other People Cant get to Weights)Step Back a Little.Don’t Sit On Or put Clothing on Machines your not using.When using Machines don’t use phone unless in Between Doing Sets In Timely Fashion.Ive seen people sitting on 1 Machine for 15-20 minutes.Return Weights to where they Came from when they are taken to other parts of Gym.Of Coarse don’t throw Paper Towels And Gum In Urinals(Somebody has to take it out).Wipe Down Equipment If You are a Puddle Of Sweat.Common Sense Stuff.Staff is always Courteous and Helpful.Good Place

I asked before I frozed my account if I will be charged for the monthly fees as well as the annual fee and was told no. I checked my account and notice I was charge for a monthly charge as well as a annual fee today. If I knew this would happen I wouldve closed the account months ago. I havent been to the gym since covid-19 started and havent been charged till now.

What else to say. Perfect gym.

Great staff! Their hours are extended. The place is always immaculate! No judgement zone, easy to work out without competing. Perfect for someone like me who works crazy hours.

Overall you get good value for this gym. My only critique is that there are no free olympic weights at least in the New York locations. Meaning Olympic barbells that are not attached to Smith machines Etc. But you do get a lot for your membership if you partake and enjoy everything they have to offer.

As we all scared of crona virus and today i went to gym.i did not believe and felt made mistake coming, there was no paper towels asked the employee and he told me they don’t have anymore.Went to restroom no soap wohhh.This is the time we need these things. Avoid going there .If you go there definitely will get sick, they donot clean this place.Worse place stay away

They could be a little more friendly at this location... When I signed up I never received a tour of the gym ... Or anything of that fact just got my gym tag... And thats all. Had to figure out where everything was myself.

I love this planet fitness my only critique would be i don’t see the staff walking around- I love the circuit training area, however other members can’t grasp the concept of what circuit training means and I find myself having to move people along in this area and call them out when they do not wipe down the machines. It is annoying.

I go to all the gyms. I find this one to have old equipment and it needs a new setup. I would give it 5 stars but it needs a makeover first.

Used to love this gym. This week on two different occasions I’ve seen not one but multiple roaches. Beyond grossed out. I’ll be finding somewhere else to workout from now on.

The gym is big. Great variety of different machines. The staff not that great in customer service area. Also, they need to clean showers daily as they are definetly not cleaning them properly.

Love this gym but unfortunately this is the 3rd time I had a cockroach on me, near me or on my machine. I am beyond grossed out. You guys need to step up your bug control game.

I usually dont write reviews but I am making an exception in this case specifically because of Chez(sorry Spelling) and Jacob(Staff at this location). I want to thank them both for taking the time to look for my car keys that I stupidly lost while working out. Goes to show the quality of people that work at this location. They both empathized with me, put themselves in my shoes and did everything in their power to help me find it. I commend you two and I hope more institutions hire more people like you. Really GREAT exercise environment and experience! Very large, friendly place, lots of machines, even fresh cut flowers in the ladies locker room. This is THE BEST Planet Fitness Ive found, and for $10 a month for unlimited use and classes, its an incredible health bargain.

Visited this club while here on business. Larger than my CT home club but similar vibe. I like PF but the amenities are average at all of them.

This is a great gym. The staff is really friendly and helpful. You can sign up online. The black card is the best deal (yay for unlimited tanning!).

I signed up for a day pass to visit this location as I have just recently moved to this area and I’m currently looking for a new gym. I was very excited about the amenities it has to offer like tanning and great hours. After visiting this location on a Wednesday at 9 am I was very disappointed. The place was filthy! A worker spent a very long time cleaning an elliptical that was right in front of me and my partner working out but didn’t bother to pick up the paper towels and gum wrappers in the 30 min workout area. The bathrooms smelt terrible, and the floors were covered in tissue paper. I’m sad to say it didn’t work out for me at this location, when I left even tho I had a good workout I felt grossed out by the lack of cleanliness. Only having a day pass I won’t be returning to see if this gym cleans up, which is a bummer if you ask me.

I had been reading the reviews, people saying the equipment is dirty and with roaches, they were right, probably the person in charge isnt doing anything about it, I was ready to use a machine now and guess what? It was a roach.

Good gym always empty which is nice. But.. today i found cockroaches and the staff knows but keeps the gym open

This place sucks !!! They are false advertising they have WiFi when it doesnt even work. I tried listening to music on WiFi while working out, when it wasnt working I told the from desk idiot, his reply was theres a lot of people on it; even though there were only 15 people at the gym only. Hopefully the Hicksville location is better.
