My Fiancee and I lived in Building 19 for 1 year (Aug 2020-Aug 2021) and had an outstanding experience. We worked with Karena (Sales Supervisor) last summer who was very nice, informative and responsive. Any time I had random questions, she was happy to answer them quickly. The apartment was in amazing condition when we moved in and the neighbors were all very nice. The grounds were always clean and they were on top of cutting the shrubs, planting new flowers and shoveling/plowing the snow. A few times we needed facilities to come fix small minor things (e.g. central air filter), they were SO quick any time we called them, and nice too! Our time at Avalon went so fast but we were so happy we stayed here. Only reason we moved out was due to us purchasing a house!
Randy, our maintenance man always does a great job. He’s helped greatly with any problems that I’ve had. He is prompt, experienced, and a great friendly personality. 5 stars all the way, great worker and person!
I would like to say that this place is AMAZING very quiet and clean. Most importantly I would like to say thank you to Karena. She helped me out tremendously from day one. When I was overwhelmed and stressed, she calmed me down took me right under her wing and lead the way for me to get everything done on time. She is patient, caring, attentive and very positive. Karena is truly and breath of fresh air and I’m so happy I’ve met her. Karena is a five star employee all the way!!!!!!!
Randall is excellent. He bends over backwards to help, follows through on all service orders that require more than one visit and is extremely professional, yet personable. David Randall did a fantastic job installing, and returning with additional parts needed, my new dishwasher.
I moved in a few months ago. I have had a few minor issues. The maintenance staff has been amazing. They are super responsive, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Special thanks to Randy and Candido. They have really gone out of there way to get things done and make me feel welcomed. TY !!!!

We have lived in the Avalon complex for over a year now and I’ve had nothing but amazing customer service! Candido has always taken great care of us and is very prompt to respond to any maintenance request that we have and always goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy. He is also fantastic with our dog Dunkin which we could not be more thankful for.

The maintenance crew at the Avalon is five star! I have been living there seven years and they have always responded immediately to all service requests with professionalism & knowledge; all staff are extremely polite and helpful. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure the resident is satisfied with any work that’s done after the repair has been made. I must mention that this past fall I did have an issue that I was extremely concerned about and both Sal, the maintenance supervisor, and Candito made sure it was addressed efficiently & fixed to my satisfaction. I cannot say enough good things about the maintenance staff at the Avalon in Melville.
I lived in the Avalon melville with my wife Tracey from 2010-2013. When we were there we had the best experience due to the amazing people, amenities and atmosphere of the complex. We always said our experience there was so simple, easy and it allowed us to concentrate on what was important. Fast forward to 2021, we are homeowners and due to a construction project, we needed temporary housing. We had no hesitation to call Avalon Melville and they were able to accommodate us. Although its 8 years later, the Avalon has stayed true to its core values and has made what could have been a highly inconvenient situation just as simple, easy and fun as we remembered all those years ago. The only difference now is that weve brought children into the equation...and they love it too. Thank you so much to the entire staff, but also to Karena, Stephanie and Chris who made the application and onboarding process as easy and streamlined as possible. Oh by the way, we were so happy with our experience, that we recommended the complex to our in-laws as well and now were all neighbors. 1000% recommend Avalon Melville, including if youre thinking about going from a house to an apartment, you wont be disappointed!
Ive been living here for several years and Candido always does as amazing job in both response time and work as does the rest of the team. Candido has shown up at 11:30 at night to fix my AC staying and working until 1AM. He also lobbied hard for me to get a replacement AC unit that has caused me issues over the past 2 summers. He is the best!!!
As a resident here for the second time, I must say that everyone that is part of the Avalon family is wonderful. Im calling out two in particular that has always been fantastic, Candido & Randall, thank you for being prompt, cleaning up, finishing the work order whatever that may be and always being nice & pleasant with a wonderful smile under that mask!! I have been here for three years and the maintenance is amazing. They come 24/7 no matter what!! I especially enjoy when Candido comes because he gets the issues fixed quickly and makes sure everything is put back nicely. I have never had such great maintenance service from An apartment complex like I do aT Avalon.

I moved to The Avalon Melville community when I sold my home in July 2020 and lived there until I moved to Florida in December 2020. Although I only lived in the Avalon community for 6 months, I loved it there. The apartment had all new appliances and was recently renovated. It was spacious and bright. There are so many things I liked about the community - the walking path around the entire community (with benches placed throughout the path so you can rest or sit and read a book), the bbq grills that are for use by the residents, the pool and the gym. The community is very pet friendly - they even have stations conveniently placed around the walking path with doggie bags and trash cans so you can cleanup after your dogs. Additionally, the office staff and the maintenance staff are very friendly, and maintenance issues are dealt with immediately. If I didnt move out of the state, I would have continued to live at the Avalon!
I’ve had some normal issues after living in the Avalon for almost 20 years!!! There have been times when I have had to call or visit the office and it has always been a positive experience. Working with Stefanie has always made the experience a positive one. I always get honest and reliable answers putting my concerns at ease. Thank you Avalon and Stefanie for your professionalism.

Only wish everyone picked up after their pets. Most people do, but enough do not that it is noticeable. Otherwise, a fabulous place to live. Staff and maintenance are quick to help with everything.
I have lived here for half a year and could not be more content with my decision. One day my shower handle broke and the shower would not shut off. Gary arrived in less than 45 minutes and fixed the issue. This is a quiet beautiful neighborhood that I am happy to call home.
We absolutely love living here! The apartments are beautiful and the recent upgrades are luxurious! Everyone is friendly and happy. This is a great place to live. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new place to live
Gary Oldham from maintenance treated us very well and was very professional when he came to install a grab bar in our bath at 314 Avalon Crt Dr. The bar didn’t fit so he is ordering us another one. Thank you Gary.Candido from maintenance came to my apartment today to repair a broken bling, an under counter light and replace some plumbing fixtures. He completed everything and called me back to confirm. He acted very professional and courteous and I believe he is a great asset to the Avalon Maintenance Dept.
We were looking forward all week to the Sunday am appointment, we are 2 professionals in executive positions with no understanding how this miscommunication can go unannounced! The front office is lacking standards of the community paying prime means adhering to the bare minimum. 1 hour prior to arrival we were informed there is no viewing availability that meets our needs and that we need to call back in 1 months time to. confirm availability, The whole point of the visit is to view an apartment that meets our needs! The communication transfer between inhouse agents should have transitioned or foreseen the visit requirement. Very disappointed

Great community! Resident for several years. The staff at Avalon Melville is courteous and always helpful. The maintenance staff is second to none, Garry, Candido and Sal are always very attentive and friendly, especially now with Covid they are very careful and took appropriate precautions when entering my apartment. Thank you Garry for single-handedly replacing my dryer!! It works great 😊The community is quiet, residents are respectful of one another and unlike other apartment communities pets are welcome in this community which is a major plus!! 🐶🐱

I just wanted to highlight how well the service and security teams at Avalon Great Neck have been through the covid-19 lockdown and following it. Billy at the front security desk has been extremely helpful whenever we have questions or concerns, I really couldn’t say enough good things about that guy! Kevon on the service team has also been awesome and very helpful, in fact he just fixed an issue with an outside outlet for us!The whole team has really been on top of everything and closely following the CDC guidelines. I have been extremely pleased with the care and handling of any maintenance issue I have had during the past few months. The repairs are done in a timely manner and resolved on the first attempt. I am normally not home during maintenance service, but for this most recent repair, I was home. I had the pleasure of meeting Candido. He was very professional. The issue with my dryer was corrected quickly without much interruption to our morning routine. I appreciate his and the rest of the teams’ efforts.5/24/21I submitted a maintenance request this morning concerning my air conditioning. Within three hours, the issue was fixed and Candido personally called me to discuss the issue. I appreciate his professionalism and the timely manner in which the concern was addressed. The maintenance department at the Avalon Melville has always provided superior service during my two years here. FIVE STAR service!
Avalon Melville has an office staff and maintenance crew that go above and beyond. On move-in, I had a problem with an appliance and Stephanie in the office and Sal, the head of maintenance, took care of everything to our complete satisfaction. Very happy with our choice, Great Experience so far! We have had some problems with minor things around the apartment but in less then 24 hours Candito from maintenance has showed up to fix the repairs with no problem! Did not expect such a quick and great response!

It appears Avalon is now accepting their tenants living in apartments with 10-year old carpeting.If you rent an Avalon Melville apartment that has four year old carpeting, and you stay for six years, at the end of the six years you will be living in an apartment with 10 year old carpeting. Avalon will not change the carpet while you are living there, even if you live there for more than 6 years.------------------------------------------------------------------------------So, Avalon responded to my post without denying that they will not change old carpets no matter how old. Obviously, they are not interested in keeping old tenants. They are only interested in making a buck.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Good question to ask Avalon Staff: if I live here will you change my carpet when it is old. If not, why not? Doesnt Avalon pride itself on its cleanliness?-----------------------------------------

The staff here are really nice and hardworking. Tom helped me find the perfect apartment at the beginning of the year and its been amazing. Needed my heater fixed earlier this year and Candido and the guys addressed it that day. My apartment was renovated last month and Michelle had it all snazzy in 3 days! Was originally going to get a house for when my lease ended but couldnt resist living here a little longer. Just renewed with Stefanie a few days ago and looking forward to it. Very nice place to live - good neighborhood, friendly neighbors, and access to professional services. The maintenance crew is another reason why I prefer to stay here. Skilled and have a good knowledge of the work. Also, very courteous and patient. I have never known a time when I raised a service request and there has been a delay in attending it - no matter how small the request.Candido and Ken were frequent to attend to our request. They are the best. I have had times of emergencies - even late into the evening after 7:00 PM and they were quick to arrive, even from their homes. Easy access to such staff makes stay at Avalon Court a pleasurable experience - more than the apartment and the amenities that come with it.I will have no hesitation in recommending this place to anybody.
Sal the maintenance manager at Avalon Court in Melville is very professional and does a great job for the residents. Considering the maintenance crew has two properties and hundreds of units to attend to, (Avalon Court and Court North) they do their best to try to respond to maintenance requests as soon as possible. I recently had some issues in my apartment and Ken did an excellent job fixing what needed to be fixed. Aside from being very knowledgeable and efficient, he is a genuinely nice person and cares equally about the quality of his work and the tenants. Two thumbs up!

I would give no stars if this was an option. All of the representatives are extremely unprofessional and will send you unnecessary eviction letters if you pay rent 4 days later than expected date when they had secured this date with you ahead of time. Do not speak with any of the representatives for they will provide you with false information.They also do not clean the fitness area, put too much salt in the parking lot when it snows and people steal your packages.I think that it is in your best interest to refrain choosing ANY Avalon spaces.

Typically I dont leave reviews, however Gary D. (Senior Maintenance Manager) deserves one. Gary is what makes Avalon Court stands out above other apartment complexes. He is always willing to assist and go the extra mile.

We have been residents of Avalon Court for the last three years and have enjoyed living here every year. Maintenance is impeccable, the leasing office is accommodating and there are plenty of things to do while youre a resident here, whether its swimming poolside in the summer, enjoying the gym facilities year round or going for a walk on the improved walking path, it is incredible.We had an outstanding experience this weekend with Candido who worked tirelessly to change the noisy motor in our new apartment even after theyd been there a couple of times to try to resolve the issue. He replaced it this afternoon and now it sounds brand new! It was an enormous help for us, as sleeping with it could be challenging at best! Thanks so much to the great maintenance staff at Avalon Court!

I recently had a maintenance issue with my washing machine. Ken came right away to evaluate the situation. Ken was prompt, very respectful, and he was determined to get the job done correctly. Ken and his associate Kevan determined that the machine needed to be replaced. They were both very helpful and made sure that the new machine was working. Ken and Kevan were great!!!

The crew at Avalon Court in Melville always does a great job. They promptly sent roofers to fix our roof leak before the next snowfall. The ceiling damage was professionally plastered and painted. We are very satisfied with the way the maintenance requests are handled.
I just had the finishing touches to my complete apartment restoration. The excellent crews of electricians, plumbers, demolish/installers and clean-up at the end of each day, were so well choreographed, that they finished a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in only 2 days! There isnt anything in the apartment that hasnt been replaced (including the new wood floors). It was amazing to watch and experience. Thank you so much. It is truly beautiful. The Avalon Court in Melville continues to amaze.
We were having a problem with the fireplace. Dylan was on call on Thanksgiving. He willing came on the holiday and fixed the issue. The fireplace has never worked as well and has a better flame than it ever has. He was a complete pleasure to deal with. Thank you Dylan
I can honestly say the staff here is extremely helpful when you have a problem. The main office led me to Sal the maintenance manager who came over to see my problem. He immediately put in an order for a mug needed new bathroom sink and had it completed asap. I am extremely happy with the outcome and appreciate great service.

If youre ok with paying exorbitant rent for good maintenance this is the place for you. The staff is great but Avalon corporate should be ashamed of their price gouging. I stupidly rented in June so now apparently I will be paying over 500 more than someone smart enough to rent in Jan/Feb. When I called they told me the rent is generally cheaper in the winter months. Great, so now I am paying THOUSANDS more a year. Im not sure how this even begins to be fair. Then lets discuss the old, outdated units. Low end old cabinetry and appliances. The dishwasher is horrendous and so loud its unusable while sitting in the apartment. There is no programmable thermostat and they wont supply one so my utility costs are insane too. For the prices I am paying I would think they would care more about the appearance of their units, and the final insult?! They want me to pay 75 dollars for a electronic key to the gym!!

I cannot imagine this place got that much nice reviews, a functioning maintenance service doesnt mean you can increase the already relative high price by that much every year, every year I got a roughly 8% increase which significantly higher than the other apartment, you know what happened this year? they run manditory rennovations to your apartment and increase my next year rate by 400 dollars, a roughly 15% increase…… Regardless of Im trying to stay with them for the third year…… My wife is pregnant and the baby is due right around the lease expiration date, and we dont want to live in such a incredible place any more but how we can move… with knowing all these the manager still refuse to help us even a little bit with the excuse of their so called market value, what a nice apartment……Good luck with you guys…… this is absolutely not a right place for your long term stay, be carefully about this……
Very impressed!!We were unfortunately awakened at 5 am when our closet shelf fell to the floor. I put in a service call in the morning and Darren came to the rescue!! Closet was fixed the same day!!We asked for shelves in our bathroom for towels. Dylan realized that there was no room and instead suggested shelves in our closets. He installed shelves in all three closets and we now have the added space we need for towels and linens!! Great idea!!Thanks Darren and Dylan!!Bought a digital thermostat and Dan did a great job installing it. He was courteous and neat. He also politely asked if there was anything else that needed fixing while he was there. I asked him to look at the patio screen door which was off the track. He fixed that quickly as well.Thanks Dan
My sister lives at Avalon and we had an issue with the toilet recently, on the night I slept over.One of the maintenance employees, Ken, came to check it out. He explained step by step what he was doing to diagnose the issue. In less than 10 minutes, he fixed the leak. He smiles and hes courteous, unlike the employees at my apartment complex in Nassau. I am nothing less than satisfied with such great service.
So grateful for Sal, Gary, Candido and the amazing team at Avalon Court North! Professional, sincere and quick to spring to action in what could have been a disastrous situation with a leak in my sons bedroom! Kudos to all for ensuring our safety and comfort in our home here at Avalon!
We had a big problem in our apartment, water started backing up in out toilets and bath tubs.....it happened on a Saturday, luck for us David Crockett was on.....he came right over did all he could do and contacted the Avalon emergency plumber....for the next 3 hours they worked together to find the problem within the community and our apartment and remedied the issue....worked until 9:30pm at night....they left apartment with the problem solved and both bathrooms very clean.....they did a great job5/24/16 Had some maintainence done in the apartment today, Ken came in a timely manner, fixed the problems, always very helpful and did a great job6/9/16 Had some bathroom issue, Ken was back in action with 2 days worth of service.....great job and great guy

20% INCREASE on the rent If I want another year lease. Ive only been in the apartment 10 months. I am devistated!! I cant believe that they would do that to people. They said this increase is across the board. They renovated the apartments this year and are DUMPING the cost upfront onto the renters. I could see if it was a gradual increase per year but $555 tacked onto rent in one lump sum is a crazy.
I love living in the Avalon. The location is great and convenient to the highways and great shopping on 110. The maintenance crew is amazing and very responsive. However, there are a several things that concern me as I consider renewing my lease in January. First is the rent increase. After being in the apartment for 9 months last year, I learned the rent would go up by 10%, nearly $300! Already, the apartment was extremely old and in the winter months, my heat does not work. The apartment is ice cold every night. I have to use a space heater to keep warm, which drives up my electric bill.Also, in the pool areas, most of the chairs are broken and the pool is not kept clean. I never see an attendant as is posted.This year, renovations were done to the apartment, however, I had to look at garbage dumpsters for six months before they finally moved them. I had flies in my apartment constantly throughout the spring.My electricity bill is high in the summer, due to the air conditioning not being 100% quality. I put in a maintenance request, but was told there was an issue with the vents. I think given the issue with the heat in the winter and air in the summer, theres an HVAC issues. Also, the apartment is poorly insulated.Im 5 months pregnant now and am so worried about having a newborn in the cold apartment this winter, with a significantly higher rent and high utility bills. Im a good tenant, and had hoped to stay at Avalon a few years while I saved for a downpayment. But now I wonder if I can do better in another unit.

Ken came to our apartment yesterday to help with a leak, The service at Avalon is just exceptional, especially Ken, he was courteous, respectful of our personal stuff, Requested permission for everything, very polite and resolved the issue within an hour. Living at Avalon is a pleasure when the staff is so friendly and helpful
My washing machine wasn’t working and within an hour of me placing the maintenance request, Candido and Erick were here to replace my machine. Beautiful community and great service! Thank you Avalon for hiring people who actually care about the community!
As a long time Avalon Melville resident the entire maintenance/service crew are beyond excellent and efficient and always promptly there to make sure things are as they should be. Randy in maintenance has been especially helpful with several service calls needed back to back just recently in my place. THANK YOU!!!!
Candido is great. I put a request in this am to clean my ceiling fan. He was here by 9:45 and completed. He is always a pleasure to be around
I am beyond ecstatic. On June 30, 2019 I contacted the main office and spoke with Karina who is one of the office supervisors. I explained that the evening before I accidentally dropped my keyring down the dumpster chute while throwing my trash in the dumpster. On my keyring was my car key, my apartment key, my apartment complex key fob, my mailbox key, my lockbox key, and my wireless iPhone earbuds in a case that attaches to a keyring. I asked if there was any way possible I could get into the locked gate that holds the dumpster and I myself would be willing to willing to sift through the garbage and look for my keys. Karina told me she would speak with maintenance and get back to me. 2 hours later I get a call from Karina that started like this, You arent going to believe this. Gary Has your keys. At the very same time my doorbell is ringing and while on the phone, Gary is holding up my keys in front of him. In shock, I asked, How? Gary O., the only maintenance man working today as it is a Saturday, casually tells me he went into the dumpster and got them. Maintenance is great here but Gary went well above and beyond what he is required to do for tenants. I tried tipping him and he adamently refused stating that it is not allowed. I am so grateful to him and so impressed with his level of professionalism. Writing this review is the least I could do for Gary as well as Karina and doesnt even begin to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation.

I put in a service request today concerning my front door lock needing replacement . Candido saw the on-line request and 30 minutes later the lock was replaced. This is amazing service. The lock works perfect. Great job Candido!!

I came in the hopes of living in a Family Friendly community, instead after a few months all Ive seen is police showing up because of fighting between neighbors as many as 10 times. The south is being filled with low income housing rejects who vandalize the walk ways,play grounds, BBQ area and the Staff fails to approach people Smoking in the grounds! which is against policy! Last week there was a shooting incident during a home invasion which was not clear but shows you what type of people are moving in. This will be Melville First housing Projects if the nonsense continues! Looking to move out as soon as the lease ends.
