This is my gym and I love it. The staff are always the best and so upbeat and funny its a great environment in there including not only the music but the other members there. If youre trying to get into the gym this is the place to be. A membership gets you free classes for cycling, yoga, and so much more. So so so recommend visiting!
With a basketball court, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and all the weight you could possibly wanna lift....all for an affordable price..ya just cant go wrong
They keep the air way too warm for the basketball courts, therefore it gets very slippery. We ask them to turn it down for us and sometimes they give attitude because of it, and insist that it doesn’t make a difference. The other LA fitnesses keep it cool and this is not an issue. A professional player fell today and almost got injured and the mayor of Melbourne fell and got injured two months ago. It’s not right and I will be considering switching memberships, which is unfortunate because the gym is nice and friendly. Some of the staff can be friendly but one individual rushes members our early and has a nasty attitude, a complete cretin
This place has male employees that makes females feel incredibly uncomfortable, as well as physically. Make employees need to be held accountable as well as management. There has been many times that this has been brought to higher ups attention and nothing has been done. Unacceptable.
I’ve only belonged to the gym since April for personal training mostly. I started with Joe he left roughly a month later then Jay he left a month later now with Simmon ….. I’m not happy that I show up for training and NO trainer NO call No advanced communication at ALL!!!! I’m done absolutely done with personal training at your facility and would like you guys to go ahead and take me off personal training without any extra charge or anything do you this fact. I’ll find a gym where trainers stay and can complete training. This is most unprofessional bull I’ve ever worked with. You didn’t follow thru with your end of deal end of contract. This is second time I have shown up to train and trainer no showed with zero communication about it!!!
The floor in the basketball court is constantly slippery to the point of high chance of injury. I continue to go thinking it’s going to change after all the complaints but nothing has happened. Honestly my last time playing ball here. Working out is fine but no more basketball for me
Every staff here is absolutely professional, helpful and super friendly! Gym is spacious and clean. Equipment is well maintained. Shout out to my trainer, Chris Washington BEST TRAINER EVER 😍💪🏻🏋🏻♀️
Employees are very creepy. I was harassed multiple times in the span of one visit. Also very smelly in there. Do not recommend.
This place calls me daily when I’ve never given permission to be called and have never been to this gym in my life. I called them back about a month ago and asked for them to please stop calling and they said they would, yet i’m still getting both calls and texts to this day. Just called again because I’m very annoyed and the man hung up on me and I called back and he said to stop calling. Ummmm how about you guys stop calling me. They are very annoying and I have never once given permission to be called or texted, yet they do it daily even after they have previously said they would stop. Anyone know how to get them to stop calling????????
I go there 90% to play basketball with a quick workout on the way in or out or if waiting on the next BBall game and the floor is incredibly dangerous IF the staff doesnt keep the air at a proper temperature. If AC is not kept low enough the basketball gym is approx 5 to 7 degrees warmer than the rest of the gym and is as slippery as a bowling alley and incredibly dangerous. if you ask them to turn the AC down MOST of the staff is indifferent (there is one person that will actually turn the ac down which dries out the court and makes it playable.) Someone is going to get hurt really bad and the fix is as simple as keeping the AC at a reasonable temp. Ridiculous daily fight to keep the floor safe and playable. Monthly membership fees should be sufficient to keep the gym at a reasonable temp to keep the floor dry.
The male workers are very creepy and weird. they stare at you the whole time you are there. very unpleasant experience. please don’t come here… left after about three mins bc of this.
Leaving very displeased. I signed up for a training membership that they won’t let me cancel and now the trainers waste my time not even showing up to the appointment at the scheduled time. Suppose to be 6:30 I’m leaving the club without any training at 6:50. Doubt anything will be done to compensate me and my time.
A very solid gym that actually lets you use the special equipment. You know the ones at other gyms that say you have to pay for a personal trainer to use. Everything is always cleaned and maintained and never overcrowded when i go. The sauna is a plus the only complaint i have is the hours. Specifically the weekends. I work long shifts on the weekends and by the time im off the gym is closed. But other than that this place is great!
I paid good money for a membership here, but the staff, and companys egregious behavior has forced me to cancel my membership. A few friends and myself wanted to use the basketball court for practice, but we were turned away. The person who spoke to use literally sneered at us when we asked why. Between their extremely rude behavior towards my friends and I, along with their refusal of allowing paying customers to use the services we paid for I can no longer in good judgement recommend this place to anyone. For those that go here I highly recommend that you do not return here, and take your business elsewhere. Improving ones physical fitness should be a top priority here at this establishment. However it seems that greedy, vulture capitalism is all they care about. Its a sad day when even those in the business of helping others no longer care about helping people.
I have been going to this gym for a little over a year and the relaunch was very good in my opinion! The equipment is standard for LA Fitness and has all the basics. I am a morning gym goer and the staff there have been doing an amazing job. The maintenance crew are friendly and keep the place looking very nice and clean. The trainers are friendly to all members especially Chris who always seems to be in good spirits which creates a good atmosphere. Adrianna who works the front desk always gives a good welcome and took the extra effort to remember names and is personable. The staff just make this gym what it is; a nice welcoming place for us to better ourselves.
Male staff very inappropriate and made a lot of women uncomfortable. Disgusting. Other members of staff rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend attending here.
Who is managing the staff at this location? How on earth are they closing the basketball courts? Where is the reasoning behind this? Are we genuinely going to just allow such POOR decisions to be made? These basketball courts are an important outlet for mental health!Who is the General Manager here?Open the courts!
I have been a member of this Fitness club since they opened. I jokingly refer myself to Caleb, the Operations Manager, as their “anchor tenant”. Caleb and the other staff members have always made sure that all of my fitness needs were met. The club is always clean and equipments are routinely inspected and promptly repaired if they need to be.As an avid rower I appreciate the fact that the club has Matrix rowers as in my view they are so much better than the Concept-2 rowers used in other clubs. The magnetic resistance spin bikes are equally smooth.I truly appreciate how much the club is going out of their way to follow the CDC guidelines so we could safely work out during this pandemic. Thanks again Caleb and crew. Keep up the good work.
I had initially been working out on my own, and found that I had reached a rut, or plateau. I voiced my concerns to the personal training staff. They were able to formulate a specific plan for my body and abilities. It has only been a week and I have already dropped weight and gained muscle mass. Christopher Washington is phenomenally skilled, kind, and dedicated professional. I would recommend any and everybody who is looking to reach peak optimum fitness and confidence in their body to him. Thank you Chris!
I have been a LA Fitness member for several years. I was at theWaterford Lakes location and my trainer Ryan) was great so.... I was a little uncertain about transferring to the Melbourne location. I was lucky enough to get Chris Washington as my trainer. He is fantastic! Hey really cares about his clients and really knows his business. I appreciate his guidance in my journey to be a healthier, better me! Fan for life. Debi
Male staff are very unprofessional and creepy. Workers are also always rude with attitude.
Male staff is very inappropriate and disgusting. Don’t come here.
We loved the hours being open M-Th until 12 a.m. Also loved the added workout/crossfit area. Front desk people were friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back.
Near impossible to cancel membership. Tried to call and cancel membership. Nope only in person. Came in to cancel, nope only the operations manager can cancel and he is not here. HOW IS THIS LEGAL? Garbage customer service skills.
Ive been working out at LA now Esporta in Melbourne on and off for 6 years. I see Chris for personal training and hes a beast! Even after all these years hes still got new and challenging workouts for me. If you have ever thought of getting a trainer just do it! Go see Chris. You wont regret it. Its always been a great gym and the switch to new ownership hasnt effected it one bit. Its always very clean and well kept.
Good club, with machines, yoga and zumba, basketball, pool and sauna
This is my gym . Professional staff . Remarkably clean. Plenty of safe walking distance parking . Filtered water . No waiting for use of equipment . Classes offered . Constantly Sanitized ! Soon to be open 24 hours ! I love my gym . No pressure to be body perfect !
My personal trainer is Chris and I highly recommend him. He is always happy to see you and makes you feel welcomed. He genuinely cares about you as a person. His workouts are challenging but fun and he gives you the confidence that you can do this. I have never been bored or disappointed. He is great!
Good gym if youre here at the right hours. Insanely over packed in the evening with no limitations on how many people enter at once like the overhead announcements claim.
Basketbal courts are extremely slippery, ver dangerous and could cause serious injury.
Filled with pedofiles! don’t come here.
Esporta is by far the most welcoming gym Ive ever been a part of. Alexis is the sweetest, smartest, most awesome fitness manager around town. I have visited other gyms in the area and I can say for certain this is the best one as it offers all the useful amenities and great personalities as a bonus. You wont regret signing up with Esporta.
I have had nothing but and excellent experience at my local Esporta. I trained with Chris and he was not only fun but incredibly knowledgeable about his craft. As a Disabled Veteran I came to him with some major injuries. Chris was not phased, we made every adjustments for a total body work out. He has the amazing ability to teach you to take care of your body and to become effective at training on your own time. I work in a very stressful environment, sometimes I don’t want to have to think about things. Chris will write me a work up for the week and keep me on track. He will text me about how I’m feeling, keep me motivated and knows how to push me. Where else can I find the full package like this? My Esporta family takes care of me.
Extremely inappropriate male staff. They harass the women there and upper management does nothing about it. Very rapey vibes
Clean, lit if equipment, pool, classes and right at the mall.
Harassment at this gym and very unprofessional staff workers. Never coming back
Male staff are incredibly creepy towards customers and employees and management did nothing about it. Will not be returning.
They reopened the basketball courts after closing them for a week for it being a safety hazard. I went in last night and in less than 10 minutes 3 players slipped and fell due to the moister on the court. The safety of their members is obviously not a concern at this location!!!
I have loved working with the trainers in the group training workouts. It pushes me to work harder but it also is really fun having people to do it with you. Love my 10am class. Chris has done some great work with our group and is very personable.
The trainers are wonderful! They are knowledgeable & available to provide wisdom as well as innovative training. On multiple occasions Ive had various lifting questions & they are always helpful. Thank you especially to Cornelius for his insight!
Love that this location is open late!
Ive been working with Mr. Washington for a while. He is very knowledgeable, professional and consistent. He is a great motivator when training me. His hours are convenient with my work schedule. The New Haven gym is the best in the area..VERY CLEAN!!
Have been working with Chris as a personal trainer, and he is amazing. Always wanting you to do better, and helps you work towards your goal. Chris is very caring, and can always put a smile on your face and wanting you to push forward.
Clean. Good crowd. Nice equipment. Good pumps.
If you are looking for a clean and friendly location then this is it.The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Always willing to help and kick you up the backside when its needed.Would highly recommend.
Great equipment, its clean, helpful staff.
Chris and Cornelius are wonderful trainers. I really enjoy class every week, they are very professional. They also take the time to get to know what type of program and exercises their clients need to fit their ability.
A lot of equipment.Employees and other MEMBERS especially, could take a manners class.
Pool spa ect great people
Great facility. Very clean and friendly staff. What really earned the 5 stars though is I had a knee injury and it was hard for me to do any workouts or cardio exercise. So decided to take personal training classes here. My trainer Chris was aware of my injury and made a plan that worked for me at my pace. My leg strength has increased and I haven’t had any pain for awhile.I would definitely recommend him as a personal trainer.
Love it work out there👍😊
I signed up for membership at the Palm Bay location and they said when I signed up that going to another location every so often wasnt a big deal. I just happened to be closer to this one after visiting my parents and was told its 5 bucks on top of membership per visit. Im going to my usual one. I really think they should just let you go to wherever for location without extra cost.
No judgement zone! Employees are helpful and kind and they have a great variety of exercise equipment as well as good music to work out to.
Chris is a great guy and motivational trainer. He individualizes work out. I can only go weekly but wished I could do three days a week. He is a wonderful trainer. Melbourne mall location
The whole relaunch is fine but please turn the music down. Nobody wants to listen to blasting music while they attempt to listen to their own. If I have headphones all the way up, I can STILL hear their music over mine. C’mon
I have been a member of this gym for years now. When I go to the gym I usually would work out solo. After doing the same routine you start to get bored and even start to question if the work outs are even benefitting you. If you have ever felt like this I would suggest training w/ Chris Washington. He is a trainer there that will push you, offer different routines, help with nutrition and even laugh with you! After only a couple of weeks of his training, not only do I look better but I also feel a lot better.
My mom and I have been training with Chris for a while and he’s very personal and devoted to his clients’ health. Highly recommend him
Quiet, clean and very friendly staff. Best gym in town if youre serious about getting in shape.
My personal trainer Chris W 💪 Is great he really cares about what I want to accomplish in my work out and pushes me to get there
Really cant complain much. They do a great job keeping the place tidy and such. Swimming pool is a great bonus too. Not many gyms have that around here
Our personal trainer, Chris, makes exercising fun and rewarding. My family and I look forward to our sessions with him at ESPORTA, he has an excellent sense of humor and keeps us motivated.
Chris is a great trainer, watches people working out assist when needed. Great person and trainer, cares about you as a person not just a number.
My wife and I joined two months ago, sept 1st, and are both starting our physical fitness over after a few years off. Reaching 64 this year makes it even harder. I give 5 stars the the staff at eSporta who have been super encouraging from day 1. Chris is our personal trainer - he is both tough and supportive, pushing us past what we believe we could do. We have been very satisfied with how far he has brought us in a short time and looking forward to the months ahead. The facility takes COViD serious and you can see them cleaning all the time, we are very comfortable working our there.
So happy my gym is back open! There is only 1 squat rack and 1 power rack so you need to be flexible as some folks will set up camp on those. Many machines belong back on the 90s when people actually used them.
Taylor is always so sweet when I come in! Esporta is always very clean and they do a good job making sure all of the machines are working and in good condition :)
Pretty nice gym. wasn’t to crowded.
Taylor was awesome! We came in with some questions and she was so helpful, very friendly, and made us feel welcome!
I have never written a review before, but i can’t pass this up. The girl up front is so nice every time i come in. I think her name is alexa... alexis. She’s great! I think she actually cares about my health. I look forward to her smile every time i walk thru the door. If i needed another employee, i would hire her. It’s workers like her that make a company great!
I was charged 3 months after cancellation, apparently my membership was not cancelled because the staff says one thing and the manager says something else.
Great gym Ive been going for about a year now staff is friendly and keep the gym clean.
They are dumping plastic in city streets and are polluting neighborhoods in Melbourne Florida.
Nice gym with helpful staff and lots of space and equipment. Location is convenient and hours are good too.
Very good experience
Best gym ever. It will be 24/7 one day they say
Alexis Bragg is really great. Very helpful and very easy to work with.
Unbelievably rude staff members. I had to cancel my membership and was told that even with positive covid, I would still have to come inside to cancel. My id was not checked and I was wearing a mask so I am not sure why that transaction could not be done over the phone. Majority of the employees were not wearing masks. I am a healthcare professional and deal with many covid patients on daily basis; it was just so terrifying to see how lightly Esporta/LA fitness is taking this pandemic.
Chris and Cornelius are awesome trainers, they listen to their clients and get to understand the needs and the goals the clients are trying to achieve.
No rona..all safty measures
Basketball court is too small and the court is dangerously slippery!
BEWARE OF UNETHICAL BUSINESS and MANAGER!!! The manager, Aubrey, is a flat out liar. Upon signing up, I made it abundantly clear that I would not pay any additional fees other than the $149 sign up fees plus monthly membership fee of $50 for family plan. She confirmed there would be no additional fees. Just joined 1/2020. Just received notice by my credit card company that I was charged another $118 last week, only two months after signing up. Called corporate, who reached out to Aubrey (who is the GM at this location) and she lied and said I was told about the additional fee. Because of the way the contract is executed (over computer without being privy to all of the details as only SHE sees the screen until AFTER you sign), I discovered that she slid the extra $118 fee in on the computer while verbally telling me there were no additional fees. She is a liar and a scam artist. Probably gets good bonuses as a result. Do NOT join this club, because they say one thing and do another. Fortunately, my credit card company is aware of their shenanigans and are happily refunding the charge. BEWARE of unethical practices by this company in general, and the GM Aubrey, in particular. Also, trying to cancel is a NIGHTMARE. As an aside, the machines are never wiped down and full of germs, as my son got sick the very first time we went. Too many other options than this garbage outfit!!!
I enjoy going to Esporta....Chris Washington is an excellent trainer....he makes the workout very easy and fun!!!
Nice and clean, great staff and everything Im looking for in a gym
Not sure what changed in the last month, but music is played too loud to hear headphones. Staff isn’t the the friendliest. Will definitely stick to the other LA on Wickham Rd. There hasn’t been hand sanitizer in the dispensers in over a month. Members don’t have easy access to it while working out.
A lot of great machines and the staff is amazing. Love how they have classes to keep the motivation up.
This location used to have a clean locker room but has declined at a rapid pace. The management team could care less about the decline. Out of sight out of mind.
I’m giving this location a five star review for one very good reason; marathon mode on the treadmills. This feature allows a runner to use the treadmill without a hard set time limit. I’ve never seen an la fitness with every treadmill filled, so lifting this time restriction is a huge benefit to runners that need a break from the pavement. Thank you, Melbourne LA fitness!
I so enjoy the professionalism, the high energy, the cleanliness and of course Caleb!!
Wonderful place to visit!!!! Thank you!!
Been a member for 2.5 yrs love these gyms good equipment, relatively clean, and a wide range of classes available.
I love this gym. I take Zumba and Body works plus abs regularly. Instructors are great. As a side note the gym does not have a recycle bin. With the large volume of gym goers this would be a great investment. Other gyms have them, there is no reason why a huge nationwide gym corporation wouldnt participate in helping the environment. And its easy to fix, West Melbourne has recycle pick up.
The young lady cleaning was always moving and offered to clean my Treadmill before I used it. She is also was very friendly. I believe her name was Elsie.
Upscale for the ardent fitness buff with more than adequate space equipment and general facility to pursue professional physical goals. Always able to find assistance and support to realize ones objectives. Enjoyable workout awaits the committed and focused!
Gym is clean. Equipment is good. I just like to be greeted when I arrive and told have a good day when I leave. I didn’t experience a friendly staff here. The one guy who is there who appears to be the manager is pretty friendly. But the younger girl who works there doesn’t say a word to you. You gotta get her some training.
Outstanding cleanliness. Very well equipped.
LA Fitness is a great club to work out in. It is clean, with modern, up-to-date workout equipment, energizing fitness classes and amenities and world class trainers!!! My personal favorite trainer is Julia!!!!! One workout with Julia will activate your muscles and whole body for any subsequent workouts you’ll do on your own! Her workouts are effective and result driven!!!
If you dont want to wait for machines or benches this is a good gym. Not as big as other LA Fitness around the area but its quieter and easier to get in and out.
Im a 54 year-old woman. I feel very comfortable in this gym. There are a variety of people of different ages, races, and fitness levels who attend here. I am IMPRESSED with how clean it is. CUDA (I asked for his name) is a young man who has a good work ethic and takes pride in his cleaning job.Others have commented on friendliness. Those at the front desk greet me and often say something nice as Im leaving. I have been workingout 5 to 6 times a week for the last 18 months. I find this to be a friendly, clean place. The machines are in good working order and the class teachers meet or exceed my expectations. Constructive criticism helps us all do better and be better. Everyone else is just announcing to others their self-centered attitude as they vent and throw a temper tantrum abusing the purpose of Reviews
The music was excessively loud and the wifi didnt work.
Taylor is awesome at front desk she’s always dealing with my horrible check-ins and she’s always getting me in as soon as I come in.
I just recently got my membership back with LA and I am closer to the Palm Bay/Hollywood Blvd. location but since I signed up at the Melbourne Square Mall location, I opted to go there for my orientation. I was paired up with the GM, Chris, for the orientation process. He seemed knowledgeable about fitness and dieting but talked around a lot of the specifics and instead opened a dialogue about his personal life and only gave a “car sales pitched” overview of what would be necessary to achieve my fitness goals. He went into his opinions of the other gyms when I mentioned my “home” gym would be on Hollywood Blvd. saying, “I can’t guarantee the quality of their personal trainers. For example they have roughly 14 trainers there that don’t seem to know much and I only have 3. That’s because I am very particular about who I choose to be in my gym and I’m not looking to crowd up the gym with bodies because what I really want is quality.” Okay, that’s confident but now I’ve been put in a position where I would essentially be stuck going to a gym that is well out of my travel comfort if I want to be trained by someone of “quality”. That’s upsetting considering I pay to use any of the gyms nationwide but only his is worth while. Way to be a team player. I didn’t realize each location competed. Then he proceeded to give me a sample of what working out with a trainer would be. It wasn’t so bad. It was still a conversation consisting of why he’s awesome. Once I get back to the desk with him and begins to go over prices for the personal trainer, I explain that right now my finances don’t allow it. He then explains that he understood but if I was or anyone else was serious about getting to their health goals, having the personal trainer would be the only way. So now I’m being patronized for allegedly not being serious about my health goals because I can only afford the monthly fee of $29.99 rather than the monthly fee of $229.99 to have a personal trainer. When I reiterate that I simply cannot afford it, he offers his financing skills. He claimed to be a financial employee for 10 years and regardless of my deciding on getting a personal trainer or not he would be happy to help me make a budget to better organize my finances. So not only am I not serious for hiring a personal trainer but now I’m financially incompetent and need should seek financial advice from a personal trainer. Apparently I can’t be serious or successful in a couple of aspects of my life without the help of a personal trainer. Once that part of the conversation starts to come to an end he goes into how everyone has their issues and flaws and even he’s flawed because he smokes. I said, “I know what you mean, I do too.” Then he clarified and said, “I smoke weed. Sometimes I smoke tobacco too if I’m putting it into the cigarette, you know?” And laughs. I am not sure what he was thinking to say anything he said to me but if that is the kind of person LA Fitness wants running their gym then more power to them. As for me, I am looking into other gyms. So thank you Chris, for enlightening me about my actual goals, determination, and competence in life. I hope you are able to kick the marijuana habit one day since it’s something you aren’t proud of. Perhaps a personal trainer could help you with it.
